How long a marriage lasts isn't necessarily an indication of how successful it is. Either type of marriage is fine as long as there is consent and effort
What would be then, longer marriages do indicate a marriage being successful. Just because some people stay in long marriages aren’t happy doesn’t mean the majority arent
@@HA-jq1mu I mean, it is common for people to stay with abusers (simply because of psychology of abuse). People who are in arranged marriages or whose culture really looks down on divorcees are also more likely to stay married. Maybe regulated questionnaires? But time married isn’t really a good indicator.
@@HA-jq1muusually people in arranged marriages are culturally pressured to stay with someone even if they are unhappy or abused. In india for example it's controversial for someone to get divorced (divorce rate at 1%), but they have the some of the highest rates of domestic abuse in the world (35% of reported domestic abuse cases).
@@meez312 I’m not talking about arranged marriages though am I, so all of that has no relevance whatsoever to what I said. Most people who have long marriages arent arranged marriages. One country is not the representation for arranged marriages, there are loads of countries who commonly do arranged marriages but dont have a domestic abuse problem or have a high divorce rate.
Happiness, satisfaction, support, etc. A successful marriage might be long but a long marriage isn't always successful. My point is that length is not the ONLY factor, because in some situations people are too scared or feel unable to leave a marriage@@HA-jq1mu

more on the hilarious side. This video just shows more and more that organized religion is some cult that got way popular for all the wrong reasons. These people really think listening to music, showing hair, and imitating drinking a shot is against "gods will" and they'll be burning in hell or something for it. Can people use their brains for maybe one second and recognize how ridiculous they sound?
Just in my experience, as I come from a culture where our parents really want to promote arranged marriages to us, the ones who get arranged and work out are TYPICALLY people who would never ever consider divorce...because its taboo & shameful. My parents were also arranged, not compatible at all, and have been married for 25 years. They are not happy. But they will never get divorced. In my community, never getting divorced & being stuck with someone who doesn't really get you is equal to "working out". I'm biased but for the couples I know, it is rarely the case. Coupled with the idea that teen girls are promoted this idea to marry the first boyfriend they ever have, as long as the guy is the same culture & religion then even if they do the bare minimum these girls still end up marrying them. I have friends in 7+ year relationships with guys who don't do jacksh*t and are dying to marry them. That being said, there are some couples that arranged marriages do work out for in happily ever after...just not common in my sphere lol.
Def. don't listen to them. Do what makes you happy. They never even specified WHY music isn't allowed. and isn't the imam doing the call to prayer singing? Makes no sense
@@Ammar-pv8wr Singing is not haram, musical instruments are, and the reason they're haram is because life is a test and God made somethings haram and other things halal in order to see who will follow his orders. Those who pass the test will enter paradise and there they will have everything that was forbidden for them in this life and some more. Music to us is like the apple tree that was forbidden for prophet Adam and Eve. And just like them we also make mistakes and sin and listen to music or miss a prayer. But Allah is merciful and very forgiving and he'll forgive all of your sins as long as you repent from them.
It is haram and our prophet never listened to music, but draff are allowed for women during weddings or occasions but for men it's not allowed you can search more about it. There are really valid reasons to instruments being haram the first is that music and Quran do not mix, you can't have both in ur heart and that is actually true cuz I used to be obsessed with songs to the point that while sleeping i would be humming and right after waking up I would start singing and never stop and I was really far from Allah back then but then I decided to start praying and then start reading Quran daily but I was still listening to music non stop. As I got closer to Allah I felt that songs are literally the only thing pushing me away from him and after listening to music I would be in a very bad mood and I would mostly get a flashback of all the bad memories so I felt like I needed to cut off music but I just couldn't. I thought "well let me pray that I stop listening to music and Allah will just keep me away from music" yet I couldn't even make such a duaa cuz of my love towards songs but deep down I wanted to stop and suddenly I stopped without realizing it and I do sometimes feel like i want to listen to songs and I do sing a few min in, I would feel guilty and switch to Quran and my whole life changed after that and I still get the feeling that I miss songs but I try to ignore it. So I advice you to leave it for Allah this whole life isn't worth it. Btw there are lots of ex-music producers and singers who quit their jobs cuz they have seen how badly music affects us. search about them on utube and u will understand how badly music affects our mind
I hate that arranged marriage always has to come up within Muslim communities. That's a stereotype. Yes, it's common within Muslim communities, but it's not specific to them. Arranged marriages are common throughout various religions, cultures and countries. I'm happy Amir pointed out the difference between arranged marriages and forced arranged marriages - two very different practices that should not be confused with each other. In arranged marriages, you have a say and choice in the marriage.
The beautiful girl who answered all the questions so honestly!!! GIRLLLL! Thankyou! You made me feel like im not a bad muslim for wanting certain things! Love you!
the reason a lot of arranged marriages seem to "work out" is because the same people who pressured them to get married also pressures them to stay married
Just because they last longer doesn't mean it's working out, you know there's a stigma towards divorce, and people will try as best as they can to stay in the marriage
Of course, but people with more traditional views re marriage are more likely to feel a social pressure to stay in unhappy marriages. Not necessarily forced, but coerced or feel as if they have no option/support to leave.@@MegaSizeBunny

I appreciate their responses a lot because as a Muslim struggling with faith I always think I have to be 100% halal when I know that I’m not at all perfect and I never know who to ask for help due to the “halal police”.
Its really important to differentiate between arrange marriage and the religion. Arrange marriage is a cultural thing and it got nothing to do with the religion of islam.
@@anteerat That's again cultural but I hear you. A lot of Muslims conflate their culture as being part of Islam to justify their own way of life to others. Their ego is way too high to realize that it creates a lot paranoia around Islam and leads to further stigmatization and hatred of the religion they're allegedly trying to uphold and promote to others.
facts cuz im haitian and my toxic traditional ass mom tried to arrange a marriage for me too it's just a shitty conservative tradition that a lot of cultures still try to uphold for some reason
As someone who was raised muslim, I do feel the lines are blurry since opposite sex interaction is discouraged. If you don't have some type of an arranged marriage, it's not technically halal to be going out on dates and getting to know people. In my humble understanding of the religion, I am by no means religious so feel free to correct me. But of course many non muslim cultures do have arranged marriages too.
Arranged marriages last because they’d be shamed if it didn’t, both of them. It’s the fear of being judged and ridiculed that keeps them together, in reality they built an entire life with a stranger..
I say this as a non-muslim, who is not in an arranged marriage - that is just not true! Many people in arranged marriages fall in love. Because your nearest and dearest suggested this person, then you meet them, ideally get to know them and make a decision. Also many not arranged marriages are held together by shame, fear of the unknown, fear of economic struggle etc. In unequal societies so many women feel unable to leave - I'm talking about western societies here! Across all marriages some are good some are bad, whether they are arranged or not.
That can be, but are you saying if you spent a few years with someone, you wouldn't eventually like them? The marriage can be horrible the entire time, or it can be very peaceful. Most people who go through with it hedge their bets on it being peaceful and their happiness comes from their children.
most muslims listen to music, including me. But most scholars says most music is haram esp cus of bad messages like drugs, violence, sex and nudity etc
most msulims listen to music because its debatable, there isnt a clear verse in quran that says its haram, there is a hadith which is the prophets words and it even in this hadith it talkes about music linked to drinking, and promiscuity, aka night clubs, which muslims shouldnt do! So if its not an addiction or a distraction to your faith and work, its completely fine! (this is my opinion based on my research )
Hot sauce seems worse than a shot! Loved this edition though, thanks for the participants' honesty and insight! (Also, young woman with colourful print dress - you're a star!)
Work places giving alchohol as a gift is insane. You'd give an alchoholic a drink?? Or push someone closer to being alchoholic? It's not like chocolate or amazon vouchers, alchohol could cause stuff like drunk driving and bad decisions while drunk, and it's crazy a company would want that liability.
I have been giving bottles of wine and i give them away for birthdays and xmas. I am not an alcoholic nor is it for a religious reason. I just don't like the taste of alcohol.
@@MA-lx8op Yeah, that's another valid reason - maybe people dont like the kind of alchohol given. It's such a strange gift in general by a company of all places.
@@jessy1982 I agree. I don't care about the religious aspect so much but why should it be expected that everyone should consume it - esp. at or around work? Many people like myself just don't have an affinity for it.
i get the gesture and i don't mind regifting to others or keeping it around for when i throw parties etc but it's def a presumptive gift that can be avoided with a simple gift card or cash bonus or something lol
Same. I just asked one of my muslim buddies and he said it isn't, but i'm not sure if he is the best judge. I've literally seen him eat a taco with bacon in it.
@@yayoclipz5067 Yeah, most of my Muslim friends talk about their favourite music regularly and play it in a car. Maybe only a certain type is banned? Either way, I do wonder if they play any music at their wedding party?
5:49 As a Christian who doesn't drink I identify with this so much. Whenever I get gift cards or coupons for wine it's like... I guess I'll just throw this away lol
I'm atheist and drink occasionally but I dislike it too. Especially being Australian. There's so much social pressure to drink, and so many people are so genetically predisposed to alcholism that asking them to drink every Friday after work/every event is like asking them to do meth. Ruins so many people's lives. I thankfully don't have a geneetic predisposition (just some health issues so it makes me feel blah) but I find it incredibly annoying being pressured all the time.
I was pleasantly surprised to see this. I'm glad to see their religion was respected by using hot sauce rather than alcohol. I was also glad to see the honesty, that they admit that they do things that are haram. Muslims they are, but individuals they are as well - every person chooses what is best for themselves.
@@PROVOCATEURSK I agree ONLY because they didn't seem to offer this option of non-alcoholic shot to previous contestants. Non-Muslims can also find drinking alcohol offensive or just not pleasing to them personally so kinda lame to do it for this one community only. I don't mind their personal choice of not wanting alcohol like me but that has to be the standard for everyone then.
Thank you so much for your kind words, we really appriciate that. We all are humans and siners but we are trying as much as we can. I hope you will have great day 😊
The music being Haram or not and the liberal use of “Allah” or “Oh my God” not being Haram was most eye opening. Growing up Christian using the Lord’s name in vain is/was frowned upon.
well if they are hardcore, thats no surprise. religion ruins lives. how sad that the one dude wants to stop listening to music. there are soo many kinds. just pathetic
wdym bro lol a lot of us do have non-muslim friends. its probably ur own friend group or community that is not very diverse, hence, why u don't have muslim friends
As a Christian scripture does say women should veil and I do. A lot of Christians don’t anymore but it gives me a peace. It also says we should come to the Lord with singing and dancing with joy. Music is part of creation even the birds sing. And we can drink but not be a drunkard. I very rarely have a glass of wine but you will not ever catch me drunk. I am also waiting til marriage to be intimate with my one day husband. One thing I love about Muslims is their dedication to The Lord and their family, I also feel that arranged marriage if done properly is a great thing. For me I want my family to love my future husband also, I hope to find someone God sends to me but I am open in the possibilities of how ever that May come about.
I loved this concept. I'm also proud of those that chose to drink hotsauce at some questions. And for those who didn't know: Abu Hurayrah said: I heard the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) say: “All of my ummah will be forgiven except those who sin openly. It is a part of sinning openly when a man does something at night, then the following morning when Allaah has concealed his sin, he says, ‘O So and so, I did such and such last night,’ when all night his Lord has concealed him and the next morning he uncovers what Allaah had concealed.” (Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 5721; Muslim, 2990). So perhaps you didn't know out of ignorance, but please conceal both your sins as those of your brothers and sisters from the people, Allah knows best ♡
As a Muslim, anyone who says that music is haram is completely wrong, and if you are provoked by the voice of a female singer who says it is haram in Islam, then you are mentally sick .
It is haram though since music contains instruments and they contain haram words/subjects most of the time like premarital relationships or lack of modesty. Plus it distracts you from religion.
@@kawtharli I am a Muslim like you, but we have a major difference. I have never allowed myself to be extreme in anything. If you believe someone's words without thinking, it will lead you astray. Extremism in religion is never good. You can take a look at the history, when Time was selling the Christian popes of heaven, people also believed and gave their money to the popes. Even now, some of our religious leaders use the word Jihad to achieve their goals. They use it to achieve their goals.

Alexa play me blow my mind by davido and Chris brown 😂
@@Ammar-pv8wr Singing is not haram, musical instruments are, and the reason they're haram is because life is a test and God made somethings haram and other things halal in order to see who will follow his orders. Those who pass the test will enter paradise and there they will have everything that was forbidden for them in this life and some more. Music to us is like the apple tree that was forbidden for prophet Adam and Eve. And just like them we also make mistakes and sin and listen to music or miss a prayer. But Allah is merciful and very forgiving and he'll forgive all of your sins as long as you repent from them.

@@RoseAllDayyy
It’s not tho. Some people believe in it but definitely not all sectors of Islam.

Arranged is different from forced.

As someone who was raised muslim, I do feel the lines are blurry since opposite sex interaction is discouraged.
I'm sorry, I cannot imagine life without music. That's crazy dude
