If you've made it this far in the description, remember to be safe when creature adventuring! Most wild animals can cause injury if harassed, and I do not recommend attempting to capture any creatures without purpose and practice. The reason that I interact with wildlife is to produce these educational videos, and I have years of zoology experience under my belt. Also, I always ask permission from a land owner before exploring on their property, and you should do the same.
Keep adventuring everywhere, and keep your adventures safe at all times!

Very cool! I moved to east TN a couple years ago, and about a month after moving found a 5-6ft king in our backyard. A majestic snake!
That is awesome!
Pretty amazing!!!!!! Thank you for educating! 🐍🐍
Thanks, it was such a cool snake to encounter!
That was such a great all around video, dude.
Thanks a bunch, glad you enjoyed!
Ben, you are the charm. Watched your giant king vid yesterday, and went out and got my first lamp today! A young TX coast speckled king, just shed! Gotta get to editing the vid. THX a 1000000
No way, congrats! Now send me some rattlesnake luck and we'll call it even.

Yay! A glass lizard! and a gorgeous King Snake! Thanks for showing us that beautiful native.
It was such a beautiful king, glad you enjoyed!
That was an amazing King snake, thank you for the video Ben.
Glad you enjoyed, thanks for the support!
Yoo! That looks so cool! I was at the 4-H camp in tybee that you were working at! Im Callie :D
I live in NW GA and we had a king snake in our garage about that size. It was a very hot day and he was lying on the concrete to cool down. Beautiful animal.
Very interesting and first class presentation.
Thanks so much!
Hey Ben, you caught nice friendly snakes. That baby racer must have bit me a dozen times trying to make his video. I wish I had that beast for a pet, I love the chain-link pattern
Thanks! Also ouch
Im surprised how little you get bite by the wild snakes you catch. Gives me confidence when I start looking for snakes from now on. I've only handled garter snakes when I was younger.
It depends on the species, racers and water snakes can be much more nippy.
Beautiful huge kingsnake! I have a pet meansi kingsnake I hope will get that size one day :) Loved the video!
Thank you! Aww I'm sure it will grow up so fast.
Saying youve maybe never seen a king snake bigger than this... I regularly saw 10 foot *black* king snakes in NC.
Genuinely epic king and great info on the area. Those coastal areas definitely don’t get as much herp love so it’s really cool to see the kings are rats from there. Great stuff!
Thanks Zach! Yeah I love coastal morphs of rats and kings, I feel like there's way more color variability than the inland populations.
I just ran across a king snake in my yard around 2 months ago. It was the biggest snake I ever seen in my life, he was easily 5ft long and very fast. Gottem on video too
Nice! Yeah they get pretty beefy once they're big enough to eat the other large snakes.
Wow!!!! What a epic king...both in size and pattern. Just Incredible. Three big kings under your belt.
Thanks Arturo! Yeah I've gotten so lucky with these over the years.
Wow the rat was very green :)
Noice chain king - berdifol
Yeah I always love a coastal rat snake, but the kings here are something special.
Ben, you are a great teacher -thanks for your diligence. and awesome guy too!
Thanks so much, I really appreciate the kind words!
Awesome King! I just caught my first of the year today! Beautiful milk snake. We seem to have a lot of them over the past few years. He lives in our flowerbed with lots of cover. Great video!
Thanks Dennis! Congrats on your first king of the year, I still haven't seen a milk!
I looove the snake closeups!!! :D so cute
Thanks Micah!
Three great observations. I would be happy finding any one of those. I really enjoy your channel, along with Noah of NFK Herping. I like how you and Noah both treat the animals and environment with care and respect. Just this year, I have started going for weekend walks in the woods with my adult son looking for herps. We haven't found too many but are learning more each trip. It is great being in the woods even when we get skunked. I look forward to your next video.
Thanks, Trent! Yeah Noah seems like a cool dude, I've never herped with him but would like to some day. Also that's so cool, I often don't find any snakes on my adventures but yeah just being outside and exploring is a reward of its own.
Theres a place behind my work that has a lot of natural holes in the ground, there is a big king snake that hangs out there. Upstate, SC.
Just caught one today right here in Oconee County GA it was beautiful 😍
Love your videos man! Thank you for sharing this!
My pleasure, so glad you are enjoying them!
great video! keep it up!
Thank you!
I saw 3 Carolina King snakes in my large yard last year. I am a fan of the CK. I have a shaded creek in my backyard that I avoid because I smelled rotten cucumbers back there and it is very quiet, too quiet. I am hoping the CK will investigate for me.
I have quite a few Copperheads around my house. Don't know why, but I could sure use some of these King snakes! Very interesting video today. Thank you.
If there are copperheads I'm sure kings are sure to follow. Glad you enjoyed!
Cool finds! Stay safe out there!
Thank you!
Beautiful creatures. Good finds too.
I was so happy, thanks!
Wish you'd do a grey rat vs corn snake identification. I'm having trouble distinguishing the difference.
I've never found a grey rat before but I'll try and make that into a video if I do!
If I had a way to send you a picture I would. I live in North Alabama and almost stepped on what I believe was a hybrid of a young grey rat and a corn snake last night. Very hard to tell which it is. I've read something about the corn snake having a noticeable marking from the back of his eye to his jaw distinguishing them from all other rat snakes but I'm not confident about the mark they're referring to.
great vid
Thank you!
Till an indigo walks into the room lol😂
UA-cam has some great herper channels.
Yeah, Herptube rise up haha
@@TheWildReportOfficial If you ever get a chance, you should do some videos up in the Pee Dee region of South Carolina. We have really unique sandhills and pine forests here, especially around Chesterfield and Cheraw counties. You might find some timber rattlesnakes out there, or even a coral snake if you flip enough logs.
For sure King Cobra would love to meet this King.
beautiful king snake bud! Also, love the glass lizard! Awesome vid as always and hope you're doing well my friend! I'm in the piedmont area of NC. maybe 45mins east of Charlotte, NC. Where would be a good area to look for eastern kings? I've only caught a few in my lifetime and it was when I wasn't looking for them lol. Could you maybe do a video on the best areas in the Carolinas to herp for, Eastern King snakes, for example and/or other types of reptiles and amphibians, and why they thrive in those areas??
Thanks dude, always appreciate your support!
@@TheWildReportOfficial absolutely buddy! Appreciate your work and the information you share with us.
Such a beautiful kingsnake! I have a question. What habitat do eastern kingsnakes prefer in central NC? Do they favor any specific habitats, or can they be found in many different habitats?
I've found them in many different places, but they seem to like riverine ecosystems and pine forests.
YO, SB
im from fulton county tag field trip
Hi there, welcome to the channel!
Whew, I was about to unsub, but you pulled off finding a king. Well done. They grow 'em big out there, sheesh.
Haha glad I saved your sub, I'd probably just quit content creation if you left
This is wonderful video and thank you for sharing. I would like to point out that I have confirmed with a Major Florida University professor, scientist and field hepatologist that Indigo snakes are the true native apex snake in the United States, and they eat Kingsnakes at will. The bite force an Indigo administers to the head of a King Snake alongside its heavy body and power is simply too much for a King to overcome even with constriction. There are also field hepatologist studies within the State of Texas that will also confirm that Texas Indigos devour kings on a routine basis. The Indigo is the true king of ALL snakes in America. Except maybe the Coral Snake in which neither the king nor Indigo is immune to their venom.
Thanks for the kind words! True, Indigos are undisputable the kings where they range, but since they are such specialists I consider kings to be the top dogs in most places.
Fantastic response Man! You really know your stuff. I really enjoy your channel and hope to see you on Animal Planet one day!

Remember me shark bait from the feild trip?
Hmm, maybe. What's your name?
I can’t say that sorry
The king snake looks a lot like a common krait
Hmm, yeah I guess it kind of does
shark bait u was the best at the 4h center
Thanks Mack!
Why is the glass lizard classified as a lizard and not a snake? Very odd lol
Upcoming video will cover that topic!
You forgot King cobra....
