- Florida is home to some pretty amazing snake species, but few have been as impressive or exciting for me to find in the wild as this huge Brooks king snake!

If you've made it this far in the description, remember to be safe when creature adventuring! Most wild animals can cause injury if harassed, and I do not recommend attempting to capture any creatures without purpose and practice. The reason that I interact with wildlife is to produce these educational videos, and I have years of zoology experience under my belt. Also, I always ask permission from a land owner before exploring on their property, and you should do the same.
Keep adventuring everywhere, and keep your adventures safe at all times!

It is so great to see young, passionate, driven, intelligent and articulate people. Your parents must be overwhelmed with pride.
Thanks so much, I appreciate the support!
Wow Ben that's like catching lighting in a bottle!!! What an awesome looking king snake. Stay safe out there in the swamps.
It was exhilarating for sure. And will do!
I've watched this video 4 times now....awesome! From the little psycho at the beginning to the sedate nearly invisible cottonmouth to that incredible king snake at the end...what a ride. Let me rephrase that.... INCREDIBLE king snake! WAIT! INCREDIBLE is not a big enough word for the amazing size and coloration of that snake AND the clear joy and exhilaration you're demonstrating over the honor of having been given the opportunity to catch and hold it!.... hmmm....
SUPERCALIFRAGILISTICEXPIALIDOCIOUS!!! I hope you bought your buddy dinner for spotting that one! Great job you guys....thanks!!!
Haha it was an absolutely amazing encounter, even the video can't do this beautiful animal justice. Glad you enjoyed!
What a beauty, this channel is a gem

Man, that king is a beast! Beautiful example too
So much species diversity in Florida! Btw that Brooks King Snake was insane!
Yeah there really is. And heck yes it was a stunner!
Wow, that king snake is a monster. What a great day!

Thanks Charlie, appreciate the support!
Just love your Wild Report when I remember to watch it!! This episode was especially enjoyable, just to see your excitement at finding such a rare Brooks King Snake in the Florida swamps! What a beautiful animal! The area you were in reminds me of our beautiful Caddo Lake here in East Texas - a natural lake and bayou full of Cypress trees and home to many birds/reptiles. Would love to have you and your team visit here sometime! Thanks for making such fun and educational videos!
Aww thanks so much! I'd love to visit East Texas sometime soon, I'll let you know if I get any plans on the books!
Amazing find my friend!
Thank you!
Hey Ben 👋 Great Video thanks for sharing. Welcome back to Florida. 💚
Thanks Walter, glad you enjoyed!
loving the ferocious garter snake! What a gorgeous king snake - thank you for showing them to us!
Glad you enjoyed!
What a beautiful beast of a Brooks! It must've been a dream holding that one
It was amazing! Also that's great news, welcome aboard!
What a jaw dropping encounter with that BROOKS!, congrats to you Ben! The most beautiful snake I e ever seen anyone encounter in my life!🙌👏👏🙌🙌
Fabulous Ben!
Thanks Heather!
What a monster that King Snake was, just shows you that there’s good eating in that area!!
Yep, definitely plenty of scaly food around!
It's a gorgeous king snake. Cool channel.
Thank you!
You said 97% so in all fairness, you left room there. 😉 I always used that half-cresent moon white deal in front of their eyes, but I'm no ribbon expert. That Brooks, wow! Would make the whole thing worth it for me, what a find! Big one, too!
Haha that's true! Oh yeah, I forgot about the half moon when I was out there, the same thing happens with all the toad ID things when I'm in the field. But yeah the Brooks king was absolutely killer!
Beautiful and unusual looking king snake! Great video as always.
Thanks Ricky!
Very nice Brooksi. A hulk of a specimen for sure. In the right areas of South Florida, I’ve been fortunate enough to find 3 in a day. Never at night on the road tho, like others have. And thank God that was a ribbon. It would have been very “sickly” if it was a garter. Lol…. Congrats on that beautiful king
I couldn't believe what I was seeing, it was such an amazing animal!
Still-handedly the best experience I’ve heard. You gotta wonder if even small indigos and pythons fear these. Chad king.
Awesome !!!
This is awesome !!!
Thank you!
I’m getting my brooks king next week spent a fortune getting his 5x2x2 Viv ready.I intend to feed him mice chicks and eggs.obviously pinkies to start as only three months old.these snakes have always fascinated me because they are so mellow until there feeding response kicks in!
How gorgeous and your inserts are hilarious
Haha glad you appreciated them!
Beautiful king snake!
It sure is!
Speckled kingsnake: he does what I do… but better
Noooo specks are cool too just...not _as_ cool xD
What an incredible find but they can get bigger. I had a 6' brooks that was a feeding on jumbo rats and immensely strong. No matter the size; that snake is spectacular. Just unreal when you find them in the wild.
That's crazy, if I saw a six footer in the wild I would absolutely flip my lid. But yeah at any size they are ridiculously fun to see!
That king was badass.
My son’s fascination with snakes has caused me to be less scared and more “respectful from a distance.” That said, I would need a much, much longer distance to be observant of a cottonmouth!
That's fair, respectful from a distance is a fantastic policy!
Interesting
Awesome Website 👌
Thank you!
Hi brother
why my cal king eating cashew nuts?
it happend when i was eating cashew nut and accidently drop one front of my snake
Shark bait I am from your last feild trip!
The Brooks is so cool. Yesterday I caught a 6 foot yellow Ratsnake check out the video
Woah, I'll have to check out the video!
@@TheWildReportOfficial it was friendly too.
Although my favorite snakes are the rat snakes.. the king snakes are a close second!
Goes to show how docile they are.. very much wild.. but is gentle with us humans. Which brings me back to rat snakes.. they too are docile snakes. Will they bite you? Of course.. all snakes can and will bite. Especially when first encountered!
However.. I've found that handling a six footer is the best of the best in my neck of the woods :)
Yeah I love them both, it's hard to beat a huge rat snake but there's such diversity among the king snakes.
What’s ur favorite road to Herp down there ?
I'm more of a hiking fan
Fun fact king snakes have the strongest squeeze of any snake
I wish the Snakes would come back to my land in Virginia. Used to see them all the time. Haven't seen ANY AT ALL in 5 years. Makes me sad. I've thought about buying a lot of Garters and Black Rat Snakes, and releasing them, but I know it's illegal.
Oh no! Have you tried setting up some cover boards and/or wood piles?
Hate to tell ya buddy but that was a ribben snake not a garter
It doesn't happen often, but Cottonmouths can be territorial. I've seen them claim small inlets and pools and attack you if you go near. 99.9% of time when ever you say an animal is "always" or "never" something, it's b.s. Because no wild animal always or never acts a certain way. They are unpredictable by nature, and there are always exceptions to the rule.
That's valid, I have also heard accounts of seasonal territoriality.
Why would you call it a GOLDEN KING SNAKE
This is the reason you don't have followers, and the reason you never will- bullshit click bait-
Lmmfao- no info, unprepared---- GOLDEN KINGSNAKE EVERYBODY!!!!! - damn idiot
Shark bait it is a random 5th grader from your recent class
Welcome to the channel!
Jesus loves you all! Have a blessed day!
