Many viewers have suggested in the comments that Zach's result is at worst "terrible" and at best "underwhelming." Let me tell you that ultimately it doesn’t matter what you and I think. It’s about the patient being happy. The surgeon did nothing wrong. Could he have placed more grafts? Sure. But perhaps they mutually decided to go more conservative. As a hair surgeon, it’s about understanding what a patient wants and delivering on it. If both surgeon and patient are pleased that’s really all that matters in the end.
I think it looks objectively better now, than it did before he went for the procedure. I agree with your comments at the end of your video too. It's all about everyone's individual needs.
I agree that the result is good but I think that Zach is a little "too happy" about his current stage. He deludes himself by thinking that now "he has the power" and that "he can chooses the style". He should be aware that he is still not at a decent hairline and I hope that he will realizes that to undergo a second procedure he would be REALLY fulfilled with the results. That way he would really be back to the "out of the bed I can go down to the grocery store without overthinking in front of the mirror" life. The people around him are not helping by only praising the results. The hairstylist is also very harmful by blatantly lying with the "You can rock my own hairstyle if you want from now on" crap. Real friends and real people wanting to help him regain "real" self-confidence would tell him "Great results! You look amazing. Just go a little further and you will reach perfection!". Of course if a second hair transplant is not a realistic possibility for him, then what I said is irrelevant and he can accept his current status with no regrets. That is my point: Not satisfying with what you have when you can do better, and try until you have tried everything. Then you are really in peace with what you have.
@@waelo1011 How do you know it's fake happiness? Just because you don't like it and wouldn't be truly happy with it, doesn't mean he doesn't like it and isn't truly happy with it. People can have different standards for how they look.
For a plastic/transplant surgeon, you're really careful with how you speak about inherently subjective things -- y'know, what features are 'beautiful' or what a patient 'should' or 'shouldn't' do. Not every doctor posting this kind of content is so careful -- I really appreciate your approach

I think dr.Gary looks really good bald! Even without brows! I think it’s because he has a nice subtle brow ridge and his eyes aren’t too deep so they don’t really need to be framed.
may i just say to Gary that you suit being bald. You kind or rock it. It suits your eyes, your job, your professionalism etc. So own it. you look like a boss.
I honestly feel bad for the men who are very young and lose the majority of the hair already. At that age most aren't financially well off to afford the surgery that's needed. There isn't much of a choice but to shave it off. For the ones that care about their hair, that's pretty heartbreaking.
I have super thick hair that I like to keep long, since this style has been a part of my identity and I absolutely do no look that good with short hair, the idea of going bald does scare me
I'm 21, my hairline is safe rn but my crown n overall is slowly thinning and rapidly picked up. But slowed down again, I'm gonna start fin and minox + supplements, I'm lucky I'm starting rn, my hair is in good shape to bounce back
Absolutely, this procedure paired with a barber who knows how to work with thin/fine hair would work perfect! Hes so used to having the combover from when he was balding that he's not adapted and it makes it look thinner still, shorter hair with maybe even a closer shave on the side would really suit him
I just want you to know that you have a really beautiful scalp shape and facial structure! The hairstyle suits you really well. Seriously! Like, even if you had hair, I think bald looks better.
If he had hair it’d be weirder and less comfortable bc his scalp would have a constant 5 o’clock shadow The clean look he has right now looks so well balanced
I had a hair transplant surgery 2 years back. It was one of the best decisions I have taken. Before getting procedure done, for close to 3 years I used to hate taking photos because it reminded me of my hair loss. My confidence plummeted with my hair loss.
I feel you man im in this Situation Right now i find myself attractive but everytime i take a picture i see the hairline and im deleting the photo immediately thats why i have no photos posted on my social medias its so depressing..but i saved up the money to get a Hair transplant
@@TheLABound123 $15,000 on average in the USA and limited grafts. And no warranty, You go to Turkey unlimited grafts for $1500 up to $4000 to be honest, don’t do it in the USA, done some plastic surgery and most of it a scam just to get your money and tell you give it it’s healing. Many years pass and still healing, go to a reputable Turkey clinic . Get treated much better
Well, he was probably well above average in looks before he lost his hair. With a good bone structure, proportioned facial features and enough symmetry, you can pull the 0% hair look. As it makes you look edgy, the points you lose in beauty you may win on sex appeal.
I think zach’s results look great. He didn’t start out with the thickest hair even before he started losing his hair. His hair looks great and naturel!!
I think a big issue with Zach’s restoration and why people are having such a negative reaction to it is that the results video comes across like a really bad commercial. We see two incredibly attractive doctors with their trendy hairstyles in their medical space that they’ve designed to look like a spa created in an industrial, urban space. Zach continuously screams as if everything that’s happening is so exciting and cool. He acts as if the results are transformative to the point that he’s unrecognizable. He’s like, “No wayyyyyy! Whoaaaaa!” We, as the audience of this video, see a disconnect between how Zach is presenting the results vs. the actual results. We easily recognize that he doesn’t have a hairline like a 19 year old supermodel. And that’s okay! His hair is probably never going to be thick and full. If he feels great and likes the results, that’s what’s most important. But I think people would respond much differently if he presented his results less like he’s trying to sell us a medical procedure with these doctors and more like he simply had a personal procedure and is enjoying the results.
I think you hit the nail on the head. His video made me somewhat uncomfortable and I couldn't figure out why, and it's because it comes across as scripted and disingenuous, like an ad. I'm sure Zach's feelings on it are real, it's just Buzzfeed coming in and milking it for all it's worth is overpowering.
I understand the thoughts and feeling that it sounds like a scripted ad. I invite you to view Try Guys videos or more appropriately, one of the podcasts. This is how Zach presents on camera. He is exuberant, enthusiastic and just extremely high energy. In what I have seen of his scripted work, he shows more diversity in emotion and tone. This, however, is the Zach presented in videos and podcasts: Enthusiastic and absolutely effervescent!
As a senior medical student looking to pursue a career in plastic surgery i want to thank you Dr. Gary for your professionalism and very informative content. Watching your unfiltered opinion on things has helped me vastly not just as a student but as someone who suffered from progressive androgenic alopecia since the age of 18. Thank you and i hope i can one day meet you in person and discuss the in and outs of the field.
Dr. Gary, you rock, telling it like it is. As a note the shorter your hair, the thicker it looks. Always keep your hair cut and styled. It makes a big difference.
I just remembered when i was a kid i took clarinet classes and my usual teacher was this sweet woman and i think she got sick so her husband came in as a substitute teacher for a few weeks and it just clicked for me, he also had alopecia like you. Completely bald, not even hair shadow (?) and i found it so cool as a kid that he didn't have any lashes. No lashes give the eyes such a unique look.
As somone who has bad receding hairline at the current age of 20 this really has encouraged me to do more research on the solutions for my hair once I become of proper age for the procedure. Hearing your professional opinion has been super helpful!
What I like most about you is your honesty. This is something really rare nowadays. And being honest is the only way to make your patients feel confident about the procedure they'll choose. Congrats!!!!
The reason I started watching this channel in the first place is how stunning Dr. Gary is - I LOVE the no hair look, it's a real commitment and is indicative of confidence and a "give no effs" attitude. What a beautiful man. His face is perfectly symmetrical - I've never seen anything more perfect. I don't fault this guy in the video for wanting to reverse his hair loss, but it really is a huge endeavor and has got to be insanely expensive. I hope he feels good about his result and feels good every day when he goes through his days. Every person has one or a few things that they feel self conscious about that no one else thinks is a big deal - so if doing this makes a difference for him, then that's great. I'm a fan of the bald headed few, just my personal preference.
You look awesome and well, I guess it boosts the confidance of balding people to see a hair surgeon being bold. Even if it's not by option, I think it's still a reminder that it's an option and that people can look beautiful even without hair! You rock!!
I always find it odd that people make such a big deal about other men getting hair transplants. They used to be really awful looking and men would end up with "pluggy" looking "doll hair". But, now it looks very natural. When most people see someone with huge gaps in their teeth or very crooked teeth, most will think"Why on earth did they not get that fixed?" So, how is hair thinning any different? I do not feel that any of us are the sum total of our outward appearance, however, a winning smile opens a lot of doors. So too does a full head of hair. Stating that a bunch of sexy male action movie stars look good bald is hardly a realistic comparison for most balding men. Confidence comes from many places, and hair is definitely one of them for most men. I think it's fantastic that the surgery has progressed so much and that it is a viable option for most men if they choose to do it.
It's still very expensive if you wanna get a good surgeon. Balding hits young people the hardest and they are rarely well off to the point where they can afford surgery.
My husband had androgenic alopecia starting in high school and is basically entirely bald on top, and he keeps the sides super short (abut mot 100% shaved). Obviously, it has had zero impact on his romantic life, or how much love his is worthy of giving or receiving. Honestly, I loved the fact that he just embraced his reality and was satisfied with the “how he is”. I wish every person who watches this and your videos in general has the same self love and acceptance. You all deserve it. For me. It’s about who he is, not how he looks. He’s a beautiful person, and hair has no impact on this, for me.
I went the clean shave look - and I really love it. I encourage anyone who's on the fence about surgery or medical to try shaving it once. It might surprise you like it did me!! Worse case scenario - it looks bad and your hair grows back. I really enjoy your videos and your nuanced perspective!! Cheers.
I know this comment is old, but I did exactly the same thing and very strongly agree with your message. I've never even considered taking medication. My hair fell out so fast, one day during COVID lockdowns I shaved it all off and have never looked back. I personally think I look 300x better, as I always hated pictures and now I'm totally fine with them. Something I always say is when I look at /r/bald is I've literally never seen a bad looking bald person. I wish there wasn't such a stigma about a "bad shaped" head, I don't believe in it at all!
Dr. Linkov is a life changer. Thank you for helping me make peace with my alter ego, plastic surgery dreams, and educating myself on realistic plastic surgery results. ❤️❤️❤️
So funny how the video started with Zach talking about how he doesn't practice what he preaches, then the camera cuts to the doc, who TRULY lives out what Zach has been talking about. Not throwing any shade at Zach with this comment, just thought it was a funny transition. Almost like the doc cut into frame just to take Zach to school for a second lol.
i had one a year ago and the results are fantastic..and like most of us i will be having a second to get the results i desire..which he will need also..and they never say that..i dont think this result is fantastic or they would show us.. pull it back let us see..show us the hairline and the graph placement if your proud of the work and the result..let us see no double graphs in the front ..let us see the soft single graph artistry..even when he the doctor moves the hair he really doesnt show us.. no closeup of the hairline.we know his hair is thin and the density lacks..but these are not good selling points....i would not go to these guys. they are not being totally transparent.. and i kind of thinks he knows it..even the hairdresser didnt pull it back to let us see..this is a very tightly edited video..you need to know your surgeon is totally upfront with you..dont take advice from your hairdresser is the motto here ..and do your own research..thankyou for your videos they are informative and you are very gracious..
I think body positivity is not about accepting everything you have as it is. It is about knowing your body, making positive changes, being proactive about how you look and feel. You treat your body as a canvas that you can work with, not a burden you stuck for life.
I'll be honest, I clicked on the video by mistaking thinking it was from the original source but I stayed behind because of your speech and careful use of vocabulary/analysis. You're a beautifully spoken doctor, one can tell how much you care deeply about your status and patients. You'd make a great friend 👍
Definitely an improvement! Best part is if he still isn't satisfied with the density, he can always have a second procedure that would address any such concerns.
I had a very stressful life in my childhood and adolescence. I was rapidly losing my hair by 17, and some of my hair went white too. I got on Finasteride and Minoxidil in my mid-20's which helped a lot, but dropped Minoxidil later because it's inconvenient. In my late 20's I got a hair transplant, and it's been a massive improvement on my life. Although you can still see that I'm balding a little, no one would call me the bald dude in the office anymore. I plan on getting a second hair transplant in the future so that I will present with almost no visible signs of balding at all.
Nothing wrong with being the bald dude in the office, really, dont worry you look fine either way. I believe most people increase their hair loss by stressing over it, the body hates stress and reacts to it in many ways imaginable and losing hair is one way. So the first step to go on about it: dont stress yourself over things that YOU cant control. Dont stress yourself over what OTHERS think. You're fine either way. Look at Gary, he is bald and i think he looks great. It's his charm and confidence and how you deal with it. Havent seen one negative comment regarding his Alopecia, because theres no such thing to make it into something negative, he looks fine and normal.
1st time viewer. No pitch, no bs just straight smart talk. I like that. I just started the derma roller along with minoxidil. Crushed up some finasteride pills added water and applied that along with the minoxidil.
I think that’s always a risk, going in to surgery and thinking and feeling that you are going to feel so much better and afterwards the surgery being a success and looks great but you still don’t feel good and keep looking for the surgery that’s going to fix you, and there just isn’t one!
I’m a woman in my early 30’s and in my personal opinion, many bald men look much younger than men with a full head of hair and also look better than men with thinning hair.
I just insta messaged him! We have a similar cultural background. Would be really cool. Let’s see what he says. Maybe also comment on his stuff that you would want to see me on his podcast!
Oddly enough, I think Zack is better looking without his hair. at 9:40 during his recovery, you can kinda get an idea of what he'd look like totally bald, and I think he looks a lot better than he does even after his 14 months post op.
Absolutely. If he got a buzz and kept that beard he’d just need to gain a lot of muscle and he’d have a totally different, but much better, look. It wouldn’t suit his personality at all but it would look a lot better
I'm 24, and I lost majority of my hair on top of my head, hair loss started when I was 15/16, and fit the last 6 years I've been shaving my head, and I rarely got insecure about my hair.
I think it really depends on many factors, not just the hair. If you are otherwise a tall, well built guy, chances are, a bald head will suit you well and you are likely going to realize that you actually look good bald. But Zack is short and skinny and not even remotely muscular, so he is very likely already having a hard time to accept his looks. Add a balding head on top and you can see why he is/ was so unhappy.
Your videos are impeccable Doc! Carefully approached and thorough. Sitting with a swollen face and itchy head and you're getting me through. Many thanks to you
He had both severe recession and fine hair and these surgeries don't typically aim to give you back your teen hairline as that can end up looking unnatural so it's not due to a bad surgery or anything. Also many celebrities who you see get this have gotten more than one surgery so it's usually not a one and done fix you many times have to go back a second maybe even third time especially with hair like Zach's. The result was actually pretty good. Anyone who says otherwise either thinks surgeries are some magical fix for everyone or they forgot just how thin Zach's hair had gotten
I am officially the hat guy. I couldn’t go through with it. The amount of up keep you must go through to keep it going I think is more anxiety filled than the discerning feeling of knowing your bald.
Feel like I'm missing something here with people thinking the results aren't impressive. He has a mature hairline with good density, just with fine hair, that's basically what the world's best surgeons aim for, he can always go later if he wants to and doesn't lose it in the back. You don't want to look like you've had a transplant. I guarantee it looks a lot better to other people in person, and helps him feel more confident in the mirror.
The people who said it doesn't look good or it's thin, yes, that's because the scalp has a 'carrying capacity'. What he's achieved is that now he has a foothold of strong lifelong hair and a great permanent hairline. Nice job Dr. Rome et al. He could go on like that forever and people who meet him for the first time would never know he had a surgery. Now that things have healed he can go back and have a 'second coat of paint'. That's often what makes the results 'pop', just like well, a second coat of paint! Had they crammed in too many grafts initially, half would have died and he'd have the same result but spent more money and wasted valuable donor hair. He's doing all the right things and has received great advice I'd say.
My Mum lost all her hair in her late 50s (alopecia areata) and it was really traumatic for her. She lost all her self confidence and it was really awful. She was an amazing Mum and Grandma. Initially she got a couple of wigs from the same place that offers wigs to chemotherapy patients but, once it became clear that it was alopecia and her hair wasn't going to grow back, she went to a wig specialist where they took a mold of her head and she got some really nice human hair wigs. They don't last forever so when one was getting a bald patch she would send it back to them and they would fix it for her while she had the second one. That was a really expensive road to go down but so good for her self confidence and we got our Mum and Grandma back. She was fair haired. A number of years later a little tuft of hair grew back and it was almost black. She died from Alzheimer's disease in April 2021. She was almost 76. In the last couple of years she just rocked her little tuft. It is amazing the effect losing your hair can have to your confidence. I had half of mine shaved off when I was 31 because I needed brain surgery. Luckily I have a lot of hair and could flick some over from the other side to cover the shaved bit. Big scar, though. Then I had chemo in 2011 for breast cancer at 42 and lost all my hair. I had a wig but I hated wearing it. Once my hair grew back, it was finer than it was before and I have a couple of spots at my temple area that just grow baby hairs. I also have very dark hair so the baby hairs are enough that they blend in with the rest of my hair and I can pull my hair back in a ponytail or bun and it looks fine.
Life's too short to force yourself to like something you've tried to like but just don't. Why must you be forced to accept something that ultimately makes you unhappy when you know you can change it? If you have the means and you'd do it, then do it.
Ultimately it is how a person feels that is the most important. I have always struggled with my weight so that is my achilles heel. I have to say Dr G that you are every bit as handsome in my opinion with or without your hair!
Hi Gary, thank you for these informative and interesting videos. Would it be possible for you do a video on Oral Minoxidil? There is quite a lot of mixed information out there, especially regarding the impact is has on the heart rate and whether it is a safe treatment to take. Cheers, Max.
Recent advances include follicle cloning which is successful in vitro; but it grows in weird directions and will be a while before it can be commercialized
Doc I love your channel. Fellow health professional here who also has hair loss. I loved your comment at the end mentioning that you would do the same if you were in his shoes. I have such an attachment to my hair and chemotherapy destroyed it. It's been an uphill battle/struggle alongside my mpb gene. People always want what they can't have, and your nature and ability to come to terms with your condition is commendable
My suggestion, and I forgot where I heard it originally, is that if you suspect you are going to have a receding hairline, pick some time while you're young to just shave it all off. From then on, you will know what you look like bald, and can go back to it if you would rather choose a bald look over hair transplants. I did this for St Patrick's Day back in 2019. I got a lot of compliments. I think having the beard helps, because a lot of people said I looked like a badass or an action hero. But I feel like you should know exactly what you will look like bald, because once you go with transplants, there's kinda no going back. If you try the bald look again, there will be noticeable scarring. So you will basically have to continue keeping up with the hair loss for the rest of your life. You'll want to know exactly what you would look like bald before you give it up as an option. After I did mine, I'm pretty confident I'd rather just shave my head if the recession looks bad enough. Having picture to look back on gives a nice A/B comparison to see at what point bald looks better than receding.
Very interesting video, I've struggled with hair loss since I was 21. Now at 26 its very difficult to deal with after not addressing it back then. I hope I can take some action on it this year. Thanks for this wholesome content.
i think its a huge difference and a very natural result. what he has now is what he was trying to make the illusion of before with styling. maybe that's why people are thinking it's not a big change. but we all saw what his hair looked like when he wasnt styling it to hide the bald patches. that's the true before and this is the after. wonderfully done, i think.
Is it really all that matters? I’m not commenting about the results at all, I think it looks fine, but these are expensive procedures. Would you say “it’s all that matters” if they sold obvious placebo that happened to convince the patient of the result? “It’s all that matters” is such a simplistic viewpoint.
@@clary98 I don’t want to bring Zack (or anyone in particular) into the discussion, all I’m saying is that most people here (I assume?) are interested in hair restoration, and there needs to be objectivity. Whether the person in the video (or any video) is happy or not is not the only thing that matters. What matters are the objective result, the cost (and the fact that Zach’s video most likely is sponsored and he probably got the operation for free) and many other factors. I’m in no way condoning any sort of hate, all I’m saying is that even if the emperor genuinely is happy with his new cloths, it shouldn’t be the only thing that matters, if he in reality has none.
It's awesome that he feels better and that he has more confidence following the procedure. Unfortunately, the result is subtle at best. He looks like a guy that is very obviously, prematurely thinning/balding. The Doctors and patient both did really well. I'm commenting only on the result itself.
I don't plan on plastic surgery, but I paint and typically I go for models with unique features. I actually really appreciate how there's no ONE OBJECTIVE type of beauty, even when it comes to plastic surgery.
I have been balding since I was 16, when I was 19 it was so bad that my classmates were making fun of me and I finally started shaving my head on my 23th brithday. It has been a year and I am just torn to be honest. On one hand I don't mind it that much, but on the other I feel like I am missing out. I don't know what it's like to have different hairstyles and things...I am norwood 3.5, no problems with the crown but bays in my forelock are huge... I have been taking finasteride for 2 months and I am considering a hair transplant...but I feel like I would need around 4000 grafts to make my hair look good. Also I have a huge forehead...actually I even stay a little bit overweight just because my head would look ridiculous if I had a strong jawline...I would look like megahead...
Dr Gary - You have a beautiful, clean looking face and a great head shape - your baldness suits you and takes nothing away from how handsome you are. You are an attractive, charismatic man and having hair would not change that. Your comments about having a hair transplant made me feel a bit sad - you are a totally gorgeous looking man.
Something I would like to say my Father was one of five brothers who all lost their hair. My Mother has been a hair dresser for 60 years and we slowed his hair lost down by a lot with regular short haircuts cuts and I would massage his scalp and keep hair clean. Just to point out he was the oldest and had more hair than all of them. We did the same for a one time boyfriend of mine too.
I'm new to your channel and today subscribed. I like what you have to say and am eager to go thru your older videos. Regarding your baldness: you look great; you wear it well. It does represent a loss, but I'm thinking it might be freeing too. My hair is pretty much gone and when I got tired of combing it over, I buzzed it off. I wish I had done this earlier.
I love how Dr Linkov owns his alopecia and looks so cool with it. On the plus side, Dr Linkov could simultaneously act as a super villain in a bond movie to add a side hustle ... apart from his surgery practice and youtubing!
Really too bad that body hair for some people can't be used especially if they don't mind sporting really short hair styles. Why body hair seems to be forever and really long for some people?
I know right? I thought shin hair would be perfect but I guess not. It seems like people are hyper-aware of differences in hair follicles, so it's not really worth trying hair from unusual places if you're just going to look worse.
The result is pretty tame, and it’s interesting to me that in his one year video there are precisely zero clear & close up images of his hairline. I’d be disappointed with this if it were me.
@@mooney11 I agree. He went from looking like someone who was clearly at the midpoint of showing moderate hair loss to someone who’s suffering from moderate hair loss and is on the cusp of progressing further. Unfortunately he waited too long (as many of us have) to look at his options and the surgical end result looks poor.
I mean, his projected new hairline drawn pre-surgery was less than an inch down. They said they chose to do a smaller procedure because you can always go down, but you cannot go up. Idk why people expected him to start sprouting new hairs from his forehead, this was the best case scenario. I personally think he looks significantly better. Still looks like his hairline is receding but he is far from bald, which he was not before.
Hi Dr. Gary, I have been following you watching your videos particularly about hair loss stuff, but is it possible to discuss about PRP treatment? I’ve been doing this treatment for about two months but I am not how effective it is. The reason I am asking is you’ve always been honest and knowledgeable. To be honest if you were in the uk, I would come to your clinic :) 😃😃😄
I also love your look Doc!😁👍You look super clean and as a patient, I want my Dr. to be clean. Another reason why you wear your Alopecia well!☺️🥰 I think As far as Zac of @TheTryGuys…he looks so happy and I’m glad he shared his journey!😊
Hey Dr.Linkov, can I get micropigmentation first then get the hair transplant? Will it affect where the surgeon will be able to see where the hair follicles should be placed during the surgery?
Definitely, I think the best part about Zach's results is the confidence he has in himself again more then anything.
Some are at peace with nothing done and some with a little done. Going for perfection isn’t the recipe to happiness.
Yes, he is so pleasant and uplifting at the same time
I really try to respect my patients and other people who have had these types of surgeries since the topics are very emotionally charged.
I think he tries his best. But I’ve seen a couple of videos like the one reacting to a rhinoplasty where he was very subjective.

I think dr.Gary looks really good bald! Even without brows! I think it’s because he has a nice subtle brow ridge and his eyes aren’t too deep so they don’t really need to be framed.

his whole aesthetic and chill personality makes him attractive, no doubt 👌🏻

may i just say to Gary that you suit being bald.
Literally thats what happened to my husband. Hes 30 now but he lost almost allll his hair at only 17
I have super thick hair that I like to keep long, since this style has been a part of my identity and I absolutely do no look that good with short hair, the idea of going bald does scare me
Fuck man. That’s me. 19 and my hairline is receding quick and density is shrinking

I can see some improvements. All he needs now is a good haircut. The comb over ages him.
Absolutely, this procedure paired with a barber who knows how to work with thin/fine hair would work perfect! Hes so used to having the combover from when he was balding that he's not adapted and it makes it look thinner still, shorter hair with maybe even a closer shave on the side would really suit him
His choice of glasses also ages him, they are awful.

Thanks!
If he had hair it’d be weirder and less comfortable bc his scalp would have a constant 5 o’clock shadow
The clean look he has right now looks so well balanced
I had a hair transplant surgery 2 years back. It was one of the best decisions I have taken. Before getting procedure done, for close to 3 years I used to hate taking photos because it reminded me of my hair loss. My confidence plummeted with my hair loss.

Bro 😂😂 i wonder if he caught that in editing
Bro me too i cant believe people acc saw that too
I think a big issue with Zach’s restoration and why people are having such a negative reaction to it is that the results video comes across like a really bad commercial.
@@Shadowdreamer4 They don't work for buzzfeed lol

@@powowbunnyb0081 Oh. Well, I guess the format they used for making videos kinda stuck with them.
Yeah if it isn’t an ad he’s just coping so he doesn’t feel like he got scammed lmao it’s legit still a comb over and a noticeable one at that
Convinced one of the reasons your channel has skyrocketed is cause you are just so damn likable.
Awesome! I’m still outlining a non-surgical hair restoration video.

It was so honest haha
What I like most about you is your honesty. This is something really rare nowadays. And being honest is the only way to make your patients feel confident about the procedure they'll choose. Congrats!!!!
If you stop at 16:38, Dr Gary's head blends into the other guy's body lol it looks like he's actually there in the room
You rock!!
Doc is looking good with his head shaved though, I think it suits him.
Don’t ever loose that bedside manner:)
I was gonna say this. His patients must feel very comfortable with him. He’s exceptional
Fully agree, there’s no reason to shame it, is being judgmental for the sake of it….

@@jojomakes Good eye! I fixed it. Thanks!

Sir I need you to drop your skincare routine you're glowing!
Any side effects of finasteride? I am worried about mental sides and holding off.
Agree w u Doc Gary! 👍😁 It takes time to accept yourself, life experiences, wisdom… no simple answers. ☺️

Wish you were in Australia Dr Gary. You would be doing my procedure for sure. Feel like I could talk to you for ages. You are a special man.
Dr. Gary your skin care is on point, you look great!
I’m a woman in my early 30’s and in my personal opinion, many bald men look much younger than men with a full head of hair and also look better than men with thinning hair.
It's still better than before, and he most likely expensed it so it's a win win

I’m not a fan of his end result - especially the comb over style he’s wearing. A new haircut is worth trying imho.
Oddly enough, I think Zack is better looking without his hair. at 9:40 during his recovery, you can kinda get an idea of what he'd look like totally bald, and I think he looks a lot better than he does even after his 14 months post op.
Agreed
They had an episode where they put on bald caps and it looked really good on him. His face shape is really nice!
Absolutely. If he got a buzz and kept that beard he’d just need to gain a lot of muscle and he’d have a totally different, but much better, look. It wouldn’t suit his personality at all but it would look a lot better
Gary, check out Joe Tillman's take on Zack's hair transplant. He goes really in depth to why Zack's results are underwhelming.
@@reeft The finesteride did most of the work.
Many thanks to you
Could the "lacklustre" results people say be due to the surgery or more Zachs hair quality or somewhat both ?

Dr. Gary, they only make so many perfect heads in the world, the rest they cover with hair! Glad you rock the bald - looks great! Cheers.
Man you look good without hair, see no problem with that
The people who said it doesn't look good or it's thin, yes, that's because the scalp has a 'carrying capacity'.
What is a MUM??
@@ORWELL_USA What female parental figure do you have? I had a Mum.

Thanks brother!
Dr.Gary you are handsome without hair! And you have a great personality.
For heaven sakes, why must you people be so negative and hateful about this guy? His life, his choice.
Your hair seems to be growing back. Is there any chance that you could recover it all back? You look great without hair btw
Thanks! Unclear at this stage.

Hahahaha yes!!!
i think its a huge difference and a very natural result. what he has now is what he was trying to make the illusion of before with styling. maybe that's why people are thinking it's not a big change. but we all saw what his hair looked like when he wasnt styling it to hide the bald patches. that's the true before and this is the after. wonderfully done, i think.
Why so much hate in the comments? I watch Zach’s videos and he looks great! He is happy and that’s why matters
I’m wondering the same thing too! So many people are downplaying his happiness and saying the survey looks awful but that’s not the case
Hence my pinned comment ;)
Is it really all that matters?
I’m not commenting about the results at all, I think it looks fine, but these are expensive procedures. Would you say “it’s all that matters” if they sold obvious placebo that happened to convince the patient of the result?
“It’s all that matters” is such a simplistic viewpoint.
@@crkvend so… Zach really looks so much better now than in the video. It was just a simple comment 🤷🏻♀️

Your personality is so freaking attractive....swoon 😍
He looks amazing and it's great to see the big smile on his face
Thanks for subscribing and for the kind words. It is freeing in some capacity.
I love how Dr Linkov owns his alopecia and looks so cool with it. On the plus side, Dr Linkov could simultaneously act as a super villain in a bond movie to add a side hustle ... apart from his surgery practice and youtubing!
not enough people are talking about what a daddy Dr. Linkov is!!!!
I actually think you look really handsome bald. You rock it, for sure.
I keep forgetting what I want to say, so forgive all my comments. I think whatever makes someone happy in their skin is all that matters!🥰
The result is pretty tame, and it’s interesting to me that in his one year video there are precisely zero clear & close up images of his hairline. I’d be disappointed with this if it were me.
In the video he completely pulls his hair back and says he always wanted to try finding father's hair and now he can
@@bambi7563 true enough, but there’s no close up and if anything it exposes how little difference there is from his before & after.
I can see a noticeable difference, like his hairline looks 5 years younger
I mean, his projected new hairline drawn pre-surgery was less than an inch down. They said they chose to do a smaller procedure because you can always go down, but you cannot go up.
Idk why people expected him to start sprouting new hairs from his forehead, this was the best case scenario. I personally think he looks significantly better. Still looks like his hairline is receding but he is far from bald, which he was not before.
16:38 is funny timing as your shirt matches the guy standing so it looks like your head on his body.
At 16.38 I got confused for a second with your head in front of the body of the other guy 😂
I kinda love that he does hair surgery and doesn’t have hair. It’s kinda like trust the results based on portfolio not his own head lol
this channel will EXPLOOOOOODE soon
I also love your look Doc!😁👍You look super clean and as a patient, I want my Dr. to be clean. Another reason why you wear your Alopecia well!☺️🥰 I think As far as Zac of @TheTryGuys…he looks so happy and I’m glad he shared his journey!😊
Hey Dr.Linkov, can I get micropigmentation first then get the hair transplant? Will it affect where the surgeon will be able to see where the hair follicles should be placed during the surgery?
You can. But I always advise a transplant first if you are strongly considering it.
