The fact that Zach took the time to reflect on the fact that what he was feeling is the same shit women go through constantly... is really telling of his personality. I love him.
guys like Zack have that feeling everyday just like women do, it's just that we hide our pain with humour because unlike women, it's taboo for us to show any emotions. It's even worse for us because we can't hide all our insecurities with make-up nor do we have movements for body positivity that primarily cater to us and other things only men suffer with that we can't even control like hair loss or being short, which "body positive" advocating women will hypocritically degrade men for to feel good about themselves. In all honesty, female physical insecurities pale in comparison to men's, but no one in this comment section wants to have that conversation which demonstrates why men's problems are ever brought to light
@@heyhandsome9396 I agree with your message and don't want to tone police but the amount you shit on women to get your point accross is a bit gross to me. The thing is, you're right. Men are expected and pressured to be a certain way by society and it really isn't fair to men. It leads to emotionally insecure individuals who can't control their emotional outbursts. Men are just as emotional as women but aren't given the same grace to express that because the patriarchy says men have to be tough anf show no emotion.
@@heyhandsome9396 i agree with you that men have physical insecurities that they deal with too. and i also agree that some women demean men physically despite claiming to be “body positive” which i too find disgusting. however, i definitely would not agree that women’s insecurities “pale in comparison” to men’s. in fact, your entire comment comes off a little woman-hating if i’m honest lol. women have been aesthetically sexualised and that has been the basis of their worth for centuries. before the women’s rights movement, the focus was on being a good housewife and making your house and self look their best. unattractive men still get a LOT more leeway in life than an unattractive woman. like keith said, men aren’t constantly sociologically berated with the need to “become beautiful” like women are growing up. young boys are still advertised toys like trucks, superhero’s and lego - emphasising the importance is on who they are (bravery, leadership) and their skillset. young girls are advertised play makeup sets, barbies, dolls and dress-ups - the focus is placed on what they look like. historically it just runs a lot deeper for women. however, i agree in this day and age men’s body issues need a lot more attention. you can bring this issue to light without tearing women down.
@@heyhandsome9396 Dude… dude… you can have insecurities and that’s valid of course but don’t dull other peoples insecurities down to make yourself feel better.
@@Minecrftbos439 It's speaking the truth.I'm not even dulling anyones insecurities as you say, all I'm doing is pointing out the comparison which speaks for itself and clearly is what's getting you so triggered.
Zach's feelings were heartbreaking. He's adorable handsome. Eugene is model handsome. Ned is neighbour handsome. Keith is nerd handsome. They all have their cute quirks too.
K W this is by far the best comment I have read!! They do all have their own external visual strengths and the differences is what makes them unique and handsome in their own right. I couldn’t agree more, I mean “model handsome” isn’t the only kind of handsome and isn’t even everyone’s personal preference for attractiveness, just like “neighbor” handsome isn’t everyone’s preference either. Attractiveness is truly personal preference, so changing to be more “attractive” will regardless lead to someone still thinking you’re unattractive lol. Thank you for pointing out that they all have handsome qualities!!!

zach's face is feminine but like mentioned, it's attractive. put him in a skater boy outfit or an outfit a boy in a boy band would wear and he's the pretty boy.
zach is just a sweet little boy. he's JUST a little boy. just a wonderful little guy. the strong jaw was so jarring. just a sweet little son boy with a *STRONG JAW*
Zach's reaction legit made me cry. As well as his realization that the male and female experiences with viewing themselves are different, that was so important that he said.
They're not part of Buzzfeed anymore, and the idea that women are more pressured to care and be self-conscious about their physical appearance is not left-leaning. It is a societal standard. No one said men don't care, or that there isn't also pressure for men to meet society beauty standards, but they are much more prevalent in women's targeted media and has been for much longer, which is what Zach was talking about.
But generally the left is trying to shame men for finding certian people unattractive because it's the right thing to do Wich is like telling a gay person to be hetero because it's the right thing to do

it's amazing how much buzzfeed has brainwashed these men to talk up storms of how women are these "oppressed" little angels as if you guys dont have more cosmetic help and social support designed for you when it comes to beauty standards. buzzfeed is a joke of soyboys
I think it's more that many aspects of beauty that are "conventional" can vary across time and region, as was mentioned with Eugene - he already has the ideal, strong male face that we love in the USA, but by korean standards, he needs to become so much softer. There are a few aspects of beauty that are everlasting, like facial symmetry and clearer complexions, but anything from body shape/weight to hair coloring to every facial feature we could ever have goes in and out of style based on their associations with religion and wealth. It's a little edgy of me, I admit, but anything beyond that symmetry/clear skin is 100% a social construct. I think this new societal trend of trying to convince everyone they're attractive is fucking stupid - it's much better to work towards erasing subjective valuations of our corporal form all together (i.e. everyone needs to learn that appearance is absolutely meaningless).
@@megatronboy-ir1vn there’s no such thing as being ‘unconventionally’ attractive. You are either attractive or you are not. Ugly people always say stuff like this to make themselves feel better, sorry not sorry.

I recently cancelled the nose job i’d been planning since I was a kid, and this video reminds me why I made the right choice. My heart ached when Zach preferred the ‘after’ profile - honestly, I like the try guys exactly as they are. They’re special and unique and sweet and hilarious, and all beautiful in their own ways! This video was really lovely and made me realise the problem isn’t with anyone’s face (including mine), it’s with our society’s ever-changing mould of ‘perfection’, and the expectation that every single person would be better if they fit that mould.
Zach's scene made me cry, because his personality is this amazing handsome man. His quirks, his humor, his view on life, his love for others and his entire mind, heart and soul is where the beauty is. Someone's personality is what I find important in someone else. Not the way you look on the outside but how you are on the inside.
I don't find any of them at all unattractive, but Zach being so upset absolutely broke my heart. You could see that he was trying to laugh some of it off and not let it get to him as much as it was. You're beautiful Zach!

Probably a bunch of white kids like he said. Back then people weren't so accepting with that stuff so they even considered traditionally attractive Asians like Eugene ugly because they were Asian.
Koreans have a really high standard of beauty. They're highly into appearance. That's why it has the highest plastic surgery rate in the world. Combine that with other superficial things like family status, job status and money then gives you also one of the highest suicide rates because of it.

this video makes me so sad because like, it made 3/4 of them really uncomfortable and upset but in different ways. its kinda wild that keith was like "i hate this" because he was like, "lets see what parts of me are ugly" and then like eugene and zach were literally heart breaking because eugene was like so shocked because he felt like there was SO much more wrong with him and then zach was literally about to cry because of his.

Honestly both Eugene and Zach's reactions were very emotional. Eugene not thinking he's attractive when he has a beautiful, handsome face (like, I like girls but even I find him attractive haha), and then Zach being pretty confident, but ending up considering surgery. I really find it heartbreaking how much people care about looks, just because "first impressions matter". Both Zach and Eugene are wonderful people and would make their (future) partner incredibly happy, no doubt! But I also get why people get surgery. I personally hate my hips (they're too feminine) and having a really small chin/weak jaw, I could really resonate with Zach's feelings.. I'm also not very tall and I hate that I can't change that. But I'm working on accepting my body as it is.
I could not agree more that was the most masculine non cry I've ever seen Zack was my favorite in this video just like always I love his slightly nerdy very sensitive and attractive I'm a straight dude just FYI but really enjoyed this video
Sophia H: Well depends on how tall I guess. When you're so small and skinny, you can hardly ever find clothes that fit.. that freaking sucks. I almost never buy clothes because, it just makes me depressed and hurt because nothing fits me. Often a size small will be twice as wide as I am. I recently started working out daily and changed my diet, to try and gain some muscle, but that's all I can really do at the age of 23..
I grew up with Asian genes in a White country and I totally feel Eugene I had no problems with my face until I started a new school and every kid was picking on me for having a large nose, I don't have the Asian eyes fortunately, then it would have been chaos. I kind of wanted to look like every other Swedish kid but It took maybe a year to get over and chaning my face is the least of my problems as o now :) I wish every body could get over it like me so people don't have to stress about things.
As someone who grew up in a small town with very VERY few Asians around, I understand too well the stuff Eugene went through. Constantly being told by people of other ethnicities that I was ugly, being straight up told I’m ugly because I’m Asian and being bullied for it. I grew up absolutely hating being Asian. Doesn’t help when relatives tell you everything wrong about your face and skin and what needs to change. This video shows a very real message and I’m glad they did it. I hope anyone and everyone reading this finds security in who they are because I know everyone feels low self-esteem about something. But I do hope that anyone watching this video now understands they aren’t alone for it and can find some type solace in knowing we’re all different but we’re all beautiful at the same time.
I noticed both this and the Photoshop videos show that Zach is really sensitive to bodily/facial critique. I really hope he does notice all of the support that we as fans try to give him, because he is genuinely adorable and attractive, quite honestly.
I personally really, really like cute guys. It pains me when they compare themselves to those hypermasculine types, because I find those unattractive and kinda bland, honestly. Zach has a lovely face with wide sparkling eyes and a gorgeous smile. That description might not sound very "masculine", but fuck those stupid standards. To me there is nothing more masculine than an expressive, sensitive, playful guy.
I noticed that too. I find him attractive as well, not just for way he looks but it seems like he has a great personality and I am sure that there are lot of girls that thinks that too. But I understand the way he feels a lot, I used to feel that way too, when you look at content media gives you, you think you should look certain way and when you don´t, you just not pretty. I always felt like everybody looks probably better and more attractive then me, so I was always like I don´t need to be pretty, because I am smart and funny. Now, I don´t really give a fuck about things like that. It´s not that I feel more attractive or so, but obviously, people can love you even when you don´t like your forehead, or legs, or eyes, you not "masculine" enough or whatever. They probably don´t even notice half of this things you hate about you.
I know that this video was posted a while ago, but if there is any way for Zach to see this, I just want to say thank you. As a woman, particularly a teenage girl, most mass media that comes my way is advertising something to change my appearance, whether it's my face, body, hair, etc. And it's strange, but I was so validating to have Zach, who like he said, doesn't necessarily face as much societal pressure to be perfect, not only recognize the pressures but to treat them with such respect. There were quiet moments of consideration between all his words, so thank you. It's not easy realizing how things are in this world, but the fact that he had so much respect genuinely made me cry. So, thank you, Zach.
When Zack started to talk about how he feels with the after picture I started crying. As a teenage girl I understand what it is like to pick myself apart and then find more insecurities to pick apart, it really sucks and i hope that at least one person tells him he is perfect just the way he is.
Well this is coming from a 12 year old girl. Find a way to embrace your insecureites (sorry if I spelt it wrong) and tell yourself that your beautiful everyday because you are. We live in a society where people like to say that their is one form of perfect when we are all perfect and beautiful in our own way. It really sucks and I want that to change. Again embrace your insecureites and say that your insecureites are beautiful. We are all beautiful. Much love ♥️♥️😊😊
yes I was very sad the first time I watched that too, most Beauty related try guys videos make me think a lot... also remember that most stuff about not being beautiful enough comes from companies wanting to sell you fixes!
I think the saddest part of Eugene’s story is that he was never ugly. I’m glad he got to have that moment of hearing the plastic surgeon validate his face. You could see he took the time to reflect on it because the opinion was coming from, “a professional.” I do not think hearing the same opinion from someone else would have the same impact because Eugene does not trust well. I sincerely wish him the best with his self-image and inner peace. (That goes for all of the Try Guys, though.)
Holden Mcgroine that’s not it at all. It’s the culture he grew up in. Korean culture is notorious for trying to look perfect and being judgemental about looks. And white people often look at Asian people as less attractive.

guys like Zack have that feeling everyday just like women do, it's just that we hide our pain with humour because unlike women, it's taboo for us to show any emotions. They're not part of Buzzfeed anymore, and the idea that women are more pressured to care and be self-conscious about their physical appearance is not left-leaning. It is a societal standard. No one said men don't care, or that there isn't also pressure for men to meet society beauty standards, but they are much more prevalent in women's targeted media and has been for much longer, which is what Zach was talking about.

it's amazing how much buzzfeed has brainwashed these men to talk up storms of how women are these "oppressed" little angels as if you guys dont have more cosmetic help and social support designed for you when it comes to beauty standards. buzzfeed is a joke of soyboys
I feel like people have forgotten that because you aren’t CONVENTIONALLY attractive doesn’t mean you aren’t attractive

Sophia H: Well depends on how tall I guess. When you're so small and skinny, you can hardly ever find clothes that fit.. that freaking sucks. I almost never buy clothes because, it just makes me depressed and hurt because nothing fits me. Often a size small will be twice as wide as I am.

Awsamazing Eden IKR LIKE UUUGGGHHHH THUS VIDEO MADE ME SOOO SAD HONESTLY I LOVE THEM ALL THE WAY THEY ARE AND I HOPE THEY WON'T CHANGE THAT
I noticed that too.
I think Zach is adorable too! ❤️
Smash or Pass, Zach? I would marry him dude
On another episode of "Eugene Is factually proven to be gorgeous: and he is shocked by it"
Avion Hanley i was like number 1000 youre very welcome
Like he is perfect!!
Are you sure that isn’t clickbait?
Nailed It
So it’s confirmed by a legit professional. Eugene is 99% perfection.
*As if we didn’t know that already.*
Haha!
Also his nose is not ugly, so to me at least on the outside, he's 100% perfect.
Isagail honestly
lol only in america
Andrew H and the internet
In case you need it, you are perfect exactly the way you are ❤️✨
yes I was very sad the first time I watched that too, most Beauty related try guys videos make me think a lot...
also remember that most stuff about not being beautiful enough comes from companies wanting to sell you fixes!
Holden Mcgroine facts👌
Justin personally, though I think it’s important to except your face, I feel like it’s so cultural. Eugene’s relatives for example would disagree, and the professionals THERE would too
That was heartbreaking, I admit.
18:00 dear zach, you sir are perfect. I actually find you cuter than the other guys (no offense keith ned and eugene) but hearing him talk like that breaks my heart because I reaaally think he's hella cute. So please don't think for a sec you're letting anyone down with that adorable af cute face of yours ❤️
I agree he's such a cutie♡♡♡
Yeah and ngl the surgion was kinda rude to him about his looks it was so sad
@@tczepil They asked him to give his completely honest opinion on what he would change. I don't think he was rude, he was just doing what he was asked to do.
i agree with you 100%. he’s so cute and it breaks my heart that he felt sad about looking the way he does
Agree with u 1 million percent. He is the most attractive to me and also no offense to the other guys. They r all super attractive but I would choose Zack in a heartbeat. He doesn't know how much the world appreciates his adorably cute face.
Eugene's facial structure is amazing. That strong jaw is a work of art
When zack went through it and realized what women go through I wanted to cry 😭
zach is a muffin baby i refuse to let him have insecurities
Same he’s so precious 🥺❤️
We must protect the muffin baby at all costs
a litTLe piEcE oF cOrN
Kevin Millard ive never thought he was ugly 🥺
pREACHHH--
Literally no surprise on Eugene's "after" face. He's just handsome as he is.
Same
Honestly !
Honestly true
The doctor wanted to smash 110%.
Rachelle D you can tell Eugene was tryna flirt😳
Zach is so damn cute, I feel so bad that he has so many insecurities. He’s beautiful and handsome the way he is! So it Keith, he said he isn’t hot in the beginning but oh my god he’s so handsome
He’s the type of guy I prefer he’s such a sweetheart
@Littlestaxolotl lol like everything that was mentioned about Keith’s face (long, narrow, asymmetrical, full lips etc.) is something I find attractive, I would take Keith over any of the Chrises any day of the week
wtf i wanna cry at zach's part im so sad now he looked like he was gonna cry god that was painful :(
It makes me feel better.
I'm not sure he should have participated in this video for his mental stability's sake.
@@glittery_cucumber yeah. That's why...
right? I'm sure it doesn't help that the comment section is so Eugene-centric
@@corneliali7747 it's an obsession! Zach still sucks though
Zach's realization about women constantly feeling "not hot enough" was heartbreaking, but true.
Those bullies should look at Eugene now.
AnotherWordForWeird he getting paper 🎶
AnotherWordForWeird.
I’m the 666th like
I know, right? That's a beautiful man!
AnotherWordForWeird Fr.
They all look perfect just as they are!
(Except Ned. He looks like a lying cheater)
😭😭😭
Lol I was waiting for a comment like this 🥲
who?
😭😭😭
Damn
Eugène saying he’s not happy with his “strong large jaw” and the doctor saying a lot of people want that, is PROOF that no one is ever happy with what they have and the “perfect physique” is subjective as heck!
holisticmaya u r partly correct in a way that when u said no one likes the thing that they got which are actually perfection in terms of other.. But what if others keep telling u that u not good enough..plus yourself thinking the same way that i m ugly..and others adding up to that.. What then?
You should censor that vile “h” word.
Im actually Curious what a Korean doctor would have had Eugenes photo look like? Because I think he's perfect to American standards but their standard of beauty is so different from ours.
Exactly, nobody ever has everything they want
holisticmaya true. I have a baby face and look way younger then I am and a lot of people would love to look younger but I kind of hate it, at least at my current age
I want to give Zack a hug. :'(
Mykasan u spelt ZACH wrong
Mykasan same
Mykasan Same but I find Zach the cutest of all. ❤️
Mhmmm ITS FRIKING ZACH
Mykasan yeah I know 😭
This video makes me so very sad. To see you guys so hurt, especially Zack, it’s just awful. No, you’re not perfect. But that’s what makes you guys wonderful. Zack, you have the sweetest face. Your look is innocent and playful. You don’t have to try to look like some d-bag lady’s man. That guy in the photoshop version of you is the one who never calls a girl back & never settles down. He would miss out on all those meaningful friendships & the beauty of true love like in your current relationship. Don’t let that photoshop version of your face break your heart. You are the wonderful and amazing guy inside and it doesn’t matter what other people think you should look like.
Damn bro
that hit deep
Such a lovely comment
If they do any other reading comments video, they should have this in there.
Now you've done it! I'm tearing it up over here! Not one of these gentlemen need to change a thing.
I grew in up a Korean family and was pressured to receive surgery as a child. I’m now 25, still navigating how to come to terms with my own face and self esteem.
This channel has helped me so much, and I’m excited to continue this journey.
Eugene is hot. Zach is cute. Ned is handsome. And Keith is gorgeous. All of you are beautiful in your own way.
Keith is funnyman
Keith is awful
Imagine Glasses Amen!!!
You are SO right
i agree
I think the Doctor was extremely professional with his work, especially sense the surgeries appeared very small and simple, so that’s good
Also I would say the doctor do well at showing the guys how they would look with surgery which made them love themselves even more then before
Yeah I agree I feel like he was very straightforward and professional with everything
The cynical side of me says maybe he was just behaving well for the camera
I don’t know, he gave me some hypocritical vibes
Yeah he just worked with proportions instead of his objective preference
Zach you're not letting the world down, you are making the world a better place by just being you. I wanted to cry when you were talking about yourself because I wish you could see how beautiful you are. All of you are perfect just the way you are and you guys don't have to change a thing.
Simon James and the same can be said for everyone else reading this. y'all are beautiful and just perfect the way you are x
K.A Faye Awe
This is so true
You are absolutely correct
Simon James WAS HE CRYING 😢
Eugene is in my opinion the most conventionally attractive but I’m most attracted to Zach. I think he’s beautiful and hot and I love his personality and humor. I think he’s perfect as is.
Zach has more feminime features, and thats not a bad thing. The after picture was a Zach with more masculine features.
I like Zach perfectly as he is: a cute adorable marshmallow.
(Zach 2.0 is not my Zach)
fuck ya bro
This ended up becoming the most rudely awakening experience for Eugene about his culture and how toxic vanity can really be.
Joshua Runt Bruh, just stop talking.
Taken care of lol
Now it looks like you're telling me that..lmao
@@schlubenno3827 da fucks your problem, he made a valid point.
I think way before the Try guys Eugene actually made some weird music video, or directed it anyway, and a big feature was the stigma of plastic surgery. I cant remember if it was about Korea specifically or just plastic surgery in general, but he mentioned it one of their videos.
When Keith said he’s been called ugly that made my heart hurt 😪☹️ ur not ugly Keith
Keith is the tale of the Ugly Duckling. At first, people called him ugly but now it's Beautiful Keith and the rest.
Amanda Baxter im asian and people call me ugly so sama nila
Salmonella??
"I don't know if this looks any better, it's just different" - you just understood exactly what body modification does that most people don't realize.
