A correction to 07:15 - Mr. Paddock composed _the MIDI soundtrack_ for Prodeus that can be selected in-game as an alternative to Andrew Hulshult's OST www.jamespaddockmusic.com/2021/04/15/new-album-30in30-5-released-2/

Can Duke Nukem II on Evercade have both Soundblaster and Adlib effects selected? The DOS version is the only game I've ever seen that can do that. It makes the sound effects "fatter and richer" than either AdLib or Soundblaster alone.

Thanks again for your invaluable feedback during development Clint, and for reviewing the games on your channel! It was a really fun project, and I hope some of the passion we put into Duke 1&2 shines through. It's still a bit surreal for me sometimes how my little hobby project has lead to working on an actual official Duke Nukem release!

Sincerely my pleasure, Niko! The passion was clear from day one, both with Rigel Engine and with all the little nitty gritty details and thought that went into these ports. I'm still happy that you were on the same page as me with how picky I was about PC speaker characteristics, haha.
I hope you can continue to do similar work in the future! Perhaps even with some other shareware classics, the back catalog of Apogee and Epic is perfectly ripe, IMO.

Cheers for the review, Clint! This was a really fun and exciting musical project to be a part of, especially with Lee Jackson's blessing to reimagine his DN3D music using AdLib synthesis.

It's funny, when I began talking to Blaze about the project I actually had written in my notes to recommend you as a composer since your Secret Agent HD work was so spot-on. Then when Ryan was like "we have James on-board already!" I knew this project was legit 🤘

Creator Todd Replogle, along with Scott Miller and George Broussard would be quite proud of this work. And yes.. my #1 reaction to this video: please make it available to other platforms! My god would I purchase this in a heartbeat on Steam or Switch!

People should seriously support this system so we can keep getting Duke Goodness and hear LGR say, Come Get Some in his best Duke voice, lol .

I'd never heard of the Evercade until now. As someone who misses the era of physical games actually containing games, let alone manuals, i'm delighted to see things like this get exclusive releases.

@LGR fantastic video as always - love to see these games getting some love. Technical note: if you aren't already aware, the video chapter for Land of the Babes is titled "Duke Nukem: Zero Hour" by mistake. Not that I don't wish Zero Hour was included here!

If it weren’t for this release I would likely never have considered evercade as a system. Considered myself extremely fortunate to have managed to get the atomic edition system and now with the knowledge you were part of what made these possible. Especially duke 1… Christmas is more than complete.

This is the perfect kind of update, I was looking at it wondering "ehh what's new?" until you did the classic flip. I guess my brain was doing a lot of heavy lifting for the original DOS version :)

Awesome seeing this get released on the Evercade. That system has done some very good work in bringing old games from all kinds of consoles, arcades, obscure computers to a current platform. Evercade deserves a lot of love for the great work they've been doing.

The Evercade continues to surprise me, I thought it was going to die after a shot time but it seems that they have their corner of the market which is awesome and with releases like this its becoming more and more interesting.

Very nice, I've been curious about the Evercade for a while so if I decide to get it I'd consider picking up this collection. I've played the 1st game when I was little and I definitely played That Time to Kill demo way more than I should!

I don’t care what others think, I love the Evercade platform and the time & care they put in to their ports in general. It’s funny that the most vocal about game preservation also think bashing Evercade makes them sound clever? Self contradictory.
I have both cartridges in my VS at the moment so even though I missed out on the special edition my Evercade VS, my VS is a Duke Nukem machine right now.

I've always loved the 2d Dukes, and I thought they were just going to be emulating the originals. That's awesome that they did more than that. The pc speaker sounds were brilliant, too.
