my short answer to this: yes! i am super greatful emulation exists. i can play retro games. period. you can't do that very efficiently anymore without it, i feel. i found this nice middle ground between emulating games - but dumping my own ROMs as much as i feasably can. it's nice~
Eyy, nice to see this video finished. One of my favorite aspects of emulation is being able to try a game I want before I buy it. I wouldn’t have gotten Chibi Robo had I not spent some time with it on Dolphin first.
While I mainly buy games physically, I think emulation is clearly the logical way to go. Plus there exists a middle ground when it comes to stuff like multicarts which allow you to still use the original hardware. Also from the standpoint of preservation it's absolutely necessary.
