i am gonna make a similar one. i basically need another jar to house my shrimp when i have to clean out my 12L main tank. I think something like this would be perfect but i'd have to add a little mini oxygenator
@@Nanoscape ouh i see.. cuz i tried to set up my tank. The first time it turn yellowish i thought cuz maybe i wrongly calculated the chlorine so i emptied it and use filtered water and mineral water i bought😂 but it still yellow idk if its the amazon soil i bought for cheap

Hello, this is beautiful❤ Do you have a video where you show how to change the water? I wanna grow pennywort in a set up like this, but I'm afraid when i go to change the water i will spill out the sand and the pebbles How do you change the water without disturbing the scaping?
I made a video about the light setup! I’m using the exact same light and it also gets some natural light. ua-cam.com/users/shortsB4D-8SB4spE?feature=share If you can’t open the link, the title is “The BEST light for your mini pond”
About once a week. If you have too much livestock, feed too much food or don’t have enough plants it can get funky. Mine is densely planted and I only have an amano shrimp so it stays balanced
Probably 😅 I’ve never done it but as long as you clean it good enough to make sure there are no pests or salts in it then I’m sure it’s fine. There’s a lot of cheap options for sand
@yoko7263 I'd wash it a few times then maybe lay it in a thin layer and let it bake in the sun a few days or in the oven for a hour or 2 then let it cool
I have floating plants and I used a piece of plastic mesh to keep the amano shrimp inside. The amano shrimp is in a different tank now, so it’s just the floating plants on top!
simple / unique / effortless / elegant/ beautiful / easy / non-expensive lovely
Thank you 😄
Great tank
Keep up the hard work youll get there one day
Thank you! On that daily upload grind 💪

Just started my own nano aquarium, made lots of mistakes, but still learning
You got this! Good luck with our hobby@@jesusalmaguer7488
Cute idea! I have an old jar i don't use. 🤔 Hmmm..
Dooo it!
Pretty

😄🙌
Yum. Im subscribing for more food videos hehe :D
Thank you! 😄 I post every day!
Does the water naturally clear up or do u put any subtances for that?
Naturally clears up over time

We can put few colorful shrimps here❤

Thanks!
Dont even aquasoil, just Chuck some normal soil under the sand, as long as I has no weird chemicals

I wanna grow pennywort in a set up like this, but I'm afraid when i go to change the water i will spill out the sand and the pebbles
How do you change the water without disturbing the scaping?
Check out my long form videos! I have a video there 😄
@@Nanoscape will do, thank you 🤗
@@Nanoscape i found it!
Wow. Do,you Change water? Do you need an air pump? Can you add snails or shrimp?
I do a 20% water change once a week. It’s a little small for snails or shrimp.
What are you using for a light? Looks good! I'd throw a couple shrimp in there.
I made a video about the light setup! I’m using the exact same light and it also gets some natural light.

Hi.can you give me a name of the plants?
Mostly Java fern, rotala, bacopa, ludwigia, pearlweed
Mind asking you this. What do use for light source for all your bowl and jar layout?
It’s a 15w light bulb in a multi join stand. I have a full item list with everything I use on my website! nanoscape.me
@@Nanoscape Thank you 👍
how often do you change the water because mine gets “smelly“ soon since there's no circulation and/or filter..!? ✌
About once a week. If you have too much livestock, feed too much food or don’t have enough plants it can get funky. Mine is densely planted and I only have an amano shrimp so it stays balanced
@@Nanoscape Thank you! I'll keep tryin' 👍
hi , what is the water change routine ? and are there any llive stock in there ?
Hi 20% water change once a week and no it’s too small
How long do you reckon that substrate could keep the plants alive for?
It’s been going for a year and it’s still rocking. I’m not really sure how long it’ll last.
@@Nanoscape nice. Good too know thanks
Some crips 😂😂🤦🏽♂️
Oh you adding snails
Is it glass jar or plastic jar? 🤔
Glass 🫙
didn't say anything about adding fish, did it? Or any other live animals?
Nope. Too small for anything besides young cherry shrimp
Can we use beach sand after washing it?
Probably 😅 I’ve never done it but as long as you clean it good enough to make sure there are no pests or salts in it then I’m sure it’s fine. There’s a lot of cheap options for sand

Might affect the pH

Are there snails inside at the end?
One ramshorn snail
Can you put some small fish like tetras in there? I have a jar that is a little bit bigger I want to do something similar with.
This jar is way too small for fish. They wouldn’t have any space to move around 😝
So what animals you planning to put in there?
A few baby red cherry shrimp. It’s too small for anything else.
@@Nanoscape Yeah if it was salt water you could put a bunch of brine shrimp lol
😂
Is the jar covered?
I have floating plants and I used a piece of plastic mesh to keep the amano shrimp inside. The amano shrimp is in a different tank now, so it’s just the floating plants on top!
This works without bubbles?
Yup!
Anyone else noticed a snail on the leaf
🐌🐌🐌
Can I make it with a plastic jar??????
If it’s big enough 😂
Don’t do this if you want fish.
😢😢
How many litres is this jar?
3.785
@Nanoscape woa pretty big! I was planning to make one with 2.2L but I'm afraid it's still too small to hold lifeforms like shrimps
The bigger the better! It’ll be easier to keep it balanced if you can go bigger.
@@kennethmanuel1094Good enough for bladder snails. Those things survive in basically anything.
can you put animals in their. like cherry shrimp
Maybe a couple cherry shrimp. It’s way too small for anything else.
@@Nanoscape so like, two males or two females
@@mantelumgamingloilol123 yeah probably like 4 of them if they’re small
@@Nanoscape can you put dimensions for jar
Don cook
How does the driftwood not float?
It absorbs water
@@Nanoscape oh? I think I’m gonna try this.
Also because it’s buried in the sand, otherwise it will float
Thank god you didnt put fish in there 😮💨 ngl i feel like so many UA-camrs would do that
I’m adding an alligator gar and a school of oscars next week.
Nice but don't put there fish.
Don’t tell me what to do
Worst filling I have ever seen
No one asked you
Wait so you didnt any living things like a tiny fish or snails?
Just the plants! I had a small shrimp in here for a little bit, but moved it to a different tank.
