Thank you for the lovely tutorial. It's nicely explained. I always "trap" my floats every 3 or 4 stitches to prevent such long ones. I just wrap the other yarn around the working yarn once about half through the long stretch. Works like a charm.

I am newbie in this kind of hobby but I fully understood your instruction although I have to modify the pattern which also means I really understand the whole project. I have to modify the pattern because I am knitting my own hat. Thank you for the very easy instructions DIY tutorial of fair isle pattern. Good job and keep it up.
