I am also a relative beginner but this hat lit a fuse for me and has been a wonderful springboard to more complicated work and more confidence. Thank you so much!
Lovely video!!! Here’s another measuring tip. I lay a length of yarn over my ipad, place the slip knot, cast on however many stitches I can get out of it and then peel off the yarn from the ball according to the length of my ipad! Easy peasy! Bev
This tutorial is fantastic and well explained. I am new to your channel and new to circular knitting, and you have helped me tremendously. Thank you. London.
I have tons of patterns! I’ve done this before! But I really like a follow along video like this! 😉❤️ some people like written, some like watching. Thank you for doing this!
I make two balls of main color for cast on - then tie together and do long tail cast on - you never have to worry about having to little yarn for cast on . Same needles and majic loop.
Hi there. You make awesome videos; you explain the steps in a way it is very easy to understand and the videos are very clear to see what you're doing. I appreciate the time and effort put into making these tutorials. I know I'm going to enjoy this project. I do have another project on the go and I have a question regarding catching floats every 3rd or 4th stitch. How does one catch floats on the wrong side of garter ( working flat )? Any help or advice is appreciated. :o)
I don't understand the pattern. Here is the written pattern; To begin shaping, slip rnd m back first st at end of last round. Note: the last st of rnd worked before center decrease (which becomes first st on new round) should not be knit. This st will be grouped with next two sts to work first center decrease of the new round. I have read this many times and have tried to do this but it's not working for me. Can you help? Fair isle tam.
At first glance, it seems like the instructions are just asking your to move your beginning of the round marker back one stitch. But please post your question in either the facebook or Ravelry groups. There are many experienced knitters that might give input as well. Links to the groups are in the video description.
The set of needles I have, even when I tighten them, seem to become loose after awhile. It irritates me. Does that happen to your needles? Thanks! If I put money into some I need to know they will do it properly.

You are one of my favorite instructors. Can't wait to knit this. Thank you for teaching!
Hi Jana, Love the sloth speed! I've only done colorwork once 35 years ago. I'm really looking forward to this hat. Thank you

In fair Isle knitting I found I have had to increase the number of co stitches compare to other knitting projects.
No idea what idiots gave thumbs down because your videos are awesome thank you!
Thanks so much. I sometimes wonder why, but choose to focus on the other awesome viewers like you! Thanks for watching.

How do you prevent the gaps between knit and purl stitches?
I hope my answer on the Livestream made sense! Thanks for attending.
@@PurlTogether yes, thank you very much. Happy Knitting!
I'm terrible about getting in a hurry and knitting the tail ☹️
