The man did so much hard work on this car to bring it back to life. He's turned it back into a beautiful masterpiece of Plymouth automotive history. The add-ons just made it even more unique.Spectacular work!
Beautiful car your hard work and passion come through on this build. Furys are very underrated my dad had a 64-69-77 Plymouth sports Fury wagons the 64 was my favorite with a push-button transmission 383 and the 69 was a 440. I have a 70 Charger with a rare gator grain roof 440 hopped up to 750 hp and 456 rear gears 11 second quarter mile car. I still have it but can not afford another restoration but will do it before I croak hopefully lol. Mom and Dad are from London originally. My mom was a war bride and my dad came over when he was 6 to Canada. We still have family in England and Scotland.
In 1988 I bought a 1970 Sport Fury with the high performance 383 4bbl..That car beat every 5.0 Mustang and new Camaro on the street! Even beat Grand National x2..I raced 396 Chevelle's,429 Fords and beat them! Car was 100% original 120,000 original miles..Drove it to 230,000 miles and the odometer shown 30,000...as 5 digit odometer... I sold it in 1997 and It was on a dealers lot saying 30,000 original miles, that's what they always did and do now lie about the miles...My Fury was like new and still had power! Sold it to fund my 69 Charger. I had the factory trailer package and 3.55 gears, that made it a super muscle car! B-7 blue with B-7 blue interior, rallye wheels I miss it!! I have a few c bodies and a pair of old Charger's including the 69 still..Oh well.
Cheers from the USA Beautyfull car and excellent Craftsmanship, yes C bodies are hard to find, there is a 71 here in the US super rare Hemi factory equipped,A 1 of 1 production ,I,m assuming thats not a Mopar Color Code I own 3 Mopars (70 Charger 71 Roadrunner 72 Challenger) Side note Parts can be found under For C Bodies only on Google Cheers Mike from Chicagoland
The small block V-8 must have been an export only option on this car. Although the base trim level Dodge and Plymouth C-body cars could be had with a 3.7 l (225 CID) "slant six"as well as the small block V-8, a higher trim like this Sport Fury would have been equipped with a big block here in North America. Nice job with the restoration. Interior and body work looks really good.
That is one great looking Plymouth, awesome! In 1982 I had one exactly like that, only had 30,000 miles & was the same red/black color combo with black top but mine was a 1973 that I bought from my grandfather on his used car lot for $300, he was a MOPAR salesman from 1946-1979! Mine had the 360 4bbl & I put BFG white letter tires on Cragar mags & true dual exhaust with glass packs, I only got to enjoy it for a year before a drunk driver Tboned the passenger door & totaled it! ✌💖☮
Impressive to do here in the states and even more impressive to do it in a foreign country. The red colour & black top work very well with each other. Love how the rear and the front ends blend so well. Good job!
We had the equivalent model chrysler Town and country (estate) station wagon in the mid 1970s. It was enormous even by US standards! In the UK, that Fury must be a white knuckle experience on some country lanes and even in a lot of cities! We get some British classics here, even some rhd minis, MGs, etc, but seeing an old Rover or Ford Granada, or a sierra would really make my day!
1971 Sport Fury is rare car in the States, let alone the UK. Very nice job on the rust repair, did a lot of work, turned out very nice. Lose the Bumble Bee stripe.
You’ve made this fury back into its stylish good looking self. The sport duty coupe was not a high production numbers car, but there were a whole bunch of the other models made.
That car looks stunning in red and black. You did a magnificent job on the restoration especially with all the challenges of finding parts and the other struggles of completing the project. The C bodies are a nice looking body style that I have always liked. I watched a few videos by BBTR in Germany that have a meet ( all 69 - 73 C bodies ) every year in the Mosul region. Hopefully might make it to their show sometime in the future.
Wow!! My mom had a 70 sport fury.383 6 barrel. Maroon, white Vinal top and back bumper and stripes. bullet wheels, hood turn signals, am-FM, automatic. This fury is sweet in this vid. appreciate all the work that is done to it!
Well done. The 70, and 71 Sport Fury's are the best looking large "C" body Chryslers ever made. Also, I once used vinyl paint to change a non matching dash in an old Mercury Capri match the black interior. It came out beautifully! You'd never know it was painted if I didn't tell you. Good to see someone else have success with same budget friendly technique. Love your Plymouth.
Absolutely beautiful car that's all your own. You took your time, used resources that were less expensive , and it definitely paid off . Great job great story. Cheers😊
I went with Ed, when he bought the car in Halifax, the car was black then with a 318 cubic inch engine (5.2), it seems so long ago, but then of course it is.
Hi,I was wondering if you have contact details for the owner please? I think this maybe my dad's old car,he passed away in January. I'd just like to check if it is,it was a major parts of his life in the 80s and took it to a lot of shows.
Flamin' gorgeous mate! Remember these when they were new, when all cars were big. These and the Polara two doors looked really good. You've done well my son, 👍
I grew up with a 1971 Fury Suburban. Only drove it around a parking lot because the engine died before I got my license. I still love the style of the coupes!
The 400 is a great engine that has a stronger block that other big-block Chrysler wedge engines. It also has the biggest bore spacings of any Chrysler big-block. You can drop a 440 crank in a 400 and get 451 CID.
The Plymouth Grand Fury and Chrysler 300 that is my favorite with the Hurst package are the ultimate highway cruisers from Chrysler at the time on the C platform. The Dodge Monaco could be have with a larger option list for power plants but was kinda fugly.
Okay, He said he pulled the 400 out of a Chrysler Cordoba. in 1988 I was stationed at RAF Chicksands and I sold a 1975 Chrysler Cordoba, Tan with a tan top to a Guy in the East Angelia area, I can't remember if it was Bedford or not. I can't imagine there are a lot of Chrysler Cordoba in England. When he said it was wrecked, I was sad. I remember putting The Catalytic converter back on it and driving to a place called Leighton Buzzard to get unleaded gas. I wonder if it was the same car?
My dad had one of these in the 80s he took the handles off as well,it had a jenson interceptor engine in it, do you know the previous owners names? My dad's name was Chris johnson
I don’t know what you mean for sure, but B body’s did have seatbelt clips, they were plastic, they were plastic up front bottom of seats,!I have them on my 68 charger

Beautiful work, mate!
LOVE these huge barge cars!! Can't believe they fit on the roads "across the pond"! What a beautiful example!
Mine, Mine! I want it, it's mine❤
Even nicer in person! I'm lucky enough to have seen this right from the start. Way back in the late 80's. Absolute credit to Ed, the owner.
Hi. Do you know if this car came from Hull?
@@TracieWood-zx9qj will find out for you! I've messaged the owner.
@@TracieWood-zx9qjI bought it off someone in Halifax, but he had only owned it for a month.

Beautiful car my friend & awesome job of restoring and saving this beautiful Plymouth !!!!
You fill me with hope on my project as you overcame so many obstacles. Well Done Sir!
Just keep at it. It doesn’t hurt to take a break every now and again
Beautiful build. I had a 1970 Plymouth fury 3, white, with black vinyl interior and black vinyl roof that I wish that I had kept and rebuilt.

Beautiful.
My first car was a 71. Aztec gold white top. 440ci 4bbl carb. Drove it as daily driver for 10yrs.
No need to apologize for a 400, 383 with 17 more inches. LB Wedge! Beautiful car.
Nice Job one of my favorite Fury. I remember when a lot of State Highway Patrol used them.
Great restoration on one of the best looking years for the Fury.

That is an absolute stunner! LOVE the contrast piping on the seats and the color matched/blacked out rear bumper. Absolutely killer!

But like I said Beautiful Fury
What a beautiful car. 👍👍
Beautifully done, especially considering how hard it must have been to get parts. 👍👌

Look at that dash!😮
It's a family car.
You did an amazing job brother I am here in 🇨🇦 always loved them C bodies very scarce here anymore 👍🏻😁👍🏻
The hood vent came off a ‘69 from Canada. The guy was good enough to cut it out and post it to me.
Beautiful car. The 70,71 sport Fury's look sinister.
I just love the lines. 😊

What a pity that Dominic Toretto does not have one to make that model of the MOPAR family more popular.
The they'd be expensive!
what a nightmare this must of been Good Job looks great
...хорошая машина, недал мужик её под пресс а дал ей вторую жизнь !...

No, it was a green one. It was probably repairable but back then these cars were more or less throwaway
Such a big brick! 💪👍
Beautiful work, I love big muscle regardless of brand. They are from a completely different glorius time.
Very nice! Hats off to you on the restoration.
Beautiful
Beautiful restoration, Sir

Beautiful specimen.
It is such a shame that this car was never available with a four speed. How awesome would that have been?
Wow Great Job Love It 🫡

Beautiful car, but that left-hand drive in the British lane must have taken some getting used to.
I have a 1970 sport fury I want to sell cheap
The C body fury was such a sexy body style omg
What is the name of this car at minute 13:01?
I don’t know what you mean for sure, but B body’s did have seatbelt clips, they were plastic, they were plastic up front bottom of seats,!I have them on my 68 charger
These are actually on the centre console. My Fury has the same console as the B bodies
Yes that’s cool
*Too bad you don't live i the USA!*

Over 19 minutes of video and you can only hear the engine for the first 10 seconds 🤦🏽♂️
