Karena: "Mom always did like you best!"
Venger: "You were Daddy's little princess!"
You know what I’ve noticed is that each main character makes a meaningful bond with another character. For example, Diana and the stargazer child, Bobby and the girl who dreamt tomorrow, Presto and the girl who makes illusions, Eric and the boy with the twelfth talisman, and Shelia and Venger’s sister. I just like how each character makes a friend along the way as well helping them with character development.
Except Hank. 😁
The Stargazer had a crush on Diana
Eric was hitting on Kareena too...
interesting point, as are the features visualised here: "kareena" wears a peaked phrygian cap, sheila has red-hair and green/blue eyes, representing bloodlines and the accord between them
This isn't the only time that Bobby made a friend in the Realm. Don't forget the episode *"Servant Of Evil"* where Bobby befriends a giant, who Venger threatens to destroy his homeland. By giving him an amulet, it will prevent Venger from doing that.
XD 2:02 when Eric said what will we do and then the other says "something we have never done RUN" and I was like the only thing they do is run XD
Or Scatter!!!!
It's a good thing Dungeon Master's children don't take after him in terms of height LOL
I dunno.... Bobby and Presto are quite short. 🤣🤣
Does anyone else get the feeling that Karina is Venger or one of his cronies? 🤔😥😒
Wow. I don't remember this episode at all ! Maybe my DVD set isn't as complete as I thought?
Must take after their mother.
Peter Cullen's voice acting is excellent!
dungeon master, always bring family problems to work.
😆
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
A thief using invisibility and cleverness to steal a priceless artifact from a extremely powerful foe. Sheila's making Bilbo proud.
If Dungen Master's daughter is that gorgeus in human form, just imagine how Venger once was before the corruption , lol.
Watch D&D: Requiem. You get to see.
@@TeacherinTraining39 Big Facts 💯
She's not her daughter. They're half siblings.
Venger is a shapeshifter. He once transformed in a pantsless halfling.
Mate u got mental health if you are looking at cartoon images and getting turned down by them wtf lay of the pills
Moral choices in cartoons-- you don't see that much (if at all) in cartoons these days
Well if Dungeon Master keeps preaching his 'heart' nonsense anymore he might end up turning INTO a Care Bear...
ROTFLOL
WTF are you talking about? WTF cartoos are you watching? There are loads of contemporary cartoons with even more depth than this one, thanks in large part to shows like this.
I see some are hating on this episode in the comments. I think people forget that this was from a different time. I think the main crux of this episode was teaching kids to be a friend to someone, even when it doesn't seem to make sense. Things like that were taught often in children's programming back in the 70s and 80s.
It is a valuable life lesson. While it doesn't apply in every case, being a friend to someone, even if they may not be yours initially, can sometimes soften their heart and turn them around, and you may end up with a good friend.
In regards to the episode itself, and what many of us know (spoilers ahead)
Dungeon Master does seen to speak to Karina as a father, not an enemy. That's a cool little detail. It would've been nice to see her in the final episode.
I didn't see these episodes in color for many years,we still had a B&W tv back then. Still didn't stop me from trying to watch every episode.
Imagine if all toxic friends and users were this obvious, "You have served your purpose!" Many people leave that part unsaid.
Childhood memories........
Inaccurate, the characters don't goof off nearly enough and they don't get scared when they roll for initiative
I think this cartoon is the origin of Harry Potter and all this type of moovies.
Okay let me get this straight they get surrounded by orc's and hank and when asked what do they do he says something we never do run whats he talking about they run just about all the time.
He was making a joke silly... :P
He was being sarcastic
Hank say they never run lol, but they run from enemies almost every episode.
You need a hand? you need a friend? Wow I remember these since my childhood till today
It is funny that Master and Kareena do not mention their relationship, because in the end we learn that Venger is the son of the Master, which means she can also be the daughter of the Master. Eyes they just remarkably similar.
Well he does said welcome home Karina! In a very fatherly way
They're brother and sister. Soooooo...
I wonder if Zandora is their mother...
Perhaps they are half siblings. Or he was using "my son", in a generic sense.
@@JonCombo No, they're all related, biologically. If you go back and watch the episode not The Treasure of Tardos(I hoped I spelled it correctly), at the end DM said something about making mistakes and he claims, that Venger was his. So, that's very intriguing for DM to say that.
6:19 That rascally dungeon master making threats
Eric , the only one keeping it real
I get sick of everyone slagging him off. He brings light relief and if it wasn't for him, everyone would just be downright serious.
Eric is like Sokka in the Last Airbender.
They both talk a lot but often, they say what people really feel inside but are too shy or polite to say it out.
More in the early episodes I appreciated his "Let's not immediately trust everyone we meet" attitude where he was right most of the time because Venger was a shapeshifter.
I Loved That Cartoon When I Was A Kid :D
Erik's shield makes a noise like ship phasers from the '60s Star Trek series.
+Robert Miles And the magical attacks from the ring make noise like a lightsaber from the original Star Wars trilogy.
Shame dungeon master never gave Diana extra clothing, she must get very cold, And do they ever change clothes??
Must wash them off camera. Eric was sprayed by a magic skunk or something, and it showed him with most of it off.
1:50 ‘something we’ve never done before! RUN!’, did they forget about last episode? :D
Stay away from her! Hank can sound so badass at times.
Thank you
Highly mediocre episode, but I love Venger's facial expressions at 5:45 - 5:54. Terrific scene and so dramatic in a way only Venger can be!
You got that wrong…
You don’t know what mediocre means do you
@@stethespaniard2 I guess you don’t know where a sentence begins or ends and a full stop indicates! Mediocre BEST describes your punctuation attempt!
After seeing Ghostbusters Frozen Empire, I instantly thought the Phoebe/Melody subplot echoed the Sheila/Karena moments in this episode.
*London / England and the time is 04:40am ; I'm high asf reliving my childhood......*
I got you Bro!
3:20am and i’m sober just really enjoying the cartoons my mum watched as a kid lmao
Kareena has a globe of the world in her room!
...looks like the americas though...
Dungeon Master's daughter Karina
But in the final he for some reason did not even mention it. Either she's not his daughter or she means nothing to him.
she's his daughter, but Karina wasn't fully evil (though on the path to becoming evil), unlike Venger who was irredeemable without outside help (as even Dungeon master himself couldnt save him for... reasons?).
Michel van der Linden I can understand DM not being able to do it himself but I’d think he’d be able to be a little more direct with the kids on what he wanted.
I agree, but there are a few things to remember here
1) DM was always about teaching the kids valuable lessons that they would later use in the final episode (notably Hank, to never abandon his leadership in "dungeon at the heart of Dawn").
2) If he was direct with them from the start, they might have fallen for Venger's ploy and just take out the easy way instead. Remember, in the last episode they received NO help from him or advice
3) if he was not direct, Venger's "Master" would not have attacked them, and him, and he might have stuck to more violent ways to get rid of the kids
3b) Dm had the kids beat venger numerous times, and this ALSO forced Venger's hand to try a more scheming solution to get rid of them.
4) giving them numerous quests allows them to grow further as friends, as well as "brothers and sisters in arms". While they split up, it's eventually that same trust that brings them back together and ends up saving the day.
honestly those last few episodes were written so well to work up to that last episode. Idiotic network call to cancel it.
5:38 what’s Shiela doing to bust the girl out????
😄
Karena's shadow @ 11:17.
It looks like SHE'S EVIL.
It's like Presto always rolls a nat 1 lol
😂
Shouldn't a Cavalier have a horse? Uni don't count!
Ironic that Sheila..the one most unsure of herself is the one to sideline Vender. Shows everyone is capable if they believe in oneself
I never thought Sheila used her invisibility cloak to its full potential. This episode is one of the few that showed how advantageous being invisible could be
Intriguing episode if not the best one. I can understand Shelia being scared and not the best under pressure. Eric really was arrogant and being too critical of her early on (which is never good). Karena's character is very complex yet at least she has more moral fiber than her wicked brother. Would have been cool if their back story was further explored. Still, the episode shows that most are not entirely good or evil.
This is the end for you, Venger!
Eric never gets any respect. He hardly ever gives any either, but he's a Cavalier, who has to make a disrespect role every time he meets someone.
katie leigh voice actress Dungeons and Dragons
I had no idea how addicting this was well guess I'm watching the next ✌️
Amazing it's aged really good
12:21: I really don't care Cavalier.
Good episode. Dungeon Master should made Eric a jester.
I miss their adventures-
Venger's sister?
Karina, never to be heard from again.
They did not do a very good job of explaining how they earned or found the ring they had at the beginning. They tried to explain it without showing it. And they did not quite pull it off. In the time the spend explaining it, and causing friction between two characters, they could have shown that sequence of events, IMHO.
Dungeon Master's daughter.
90% of all action in this cartoon deals with ROCKS.
Having one child turn evil may be bad luck but that both his son and daughter turned to evil reflects poorly on Dungeon Masters parenting skills.
Yep.
Eric is the real deal. Why is Dungeon Master always trying to kill these kids?
For that matter, why doesn't Venger offer the kids to exchange their weapons for a ride home.
D&D
Episode 25 . That Was Good !
💍
See You Tomorrow Night For Episode 26 . Good Night.
Lol Jesse
This show is like Gilligan's island- if they go home, the shows over. At least they don't have a Gilligan to blame every time.
They eyes and the teeth suggest family relations... on the mothers side i presume!
Dungeon Master: Worst father ever!
I really need to know what happened to judge, but dosen't seems possitive.
So DM has not one but two wayward children. Def could have used some parenting classes.
Maybe he should have asked Tiamat, the Mother of Dragons, for advice. lol
So did Karena level up or change class?
For all the complaining Eric did during the show about missing burgers, pizza, etc., I’m surprised he didn’t start up a fast food business of his own.
It's almost impossible for the kids to start a business in the realm, as they seem to have nothing with them, except their clothes and weapons.
They have no property, money, capital, etc.
Plus DM keeps sending them on all these dangerous and time-consuming quests 😂
So Eric's shield can create force fields
Does it in atleast one other time. Uses it in Dragon Graveyard episode like that too.
@@JonCombo he was going use it in the Hall of Bones episode and the force field just flickered on for a moment because the weapons needed to be recharged.
Anyone else see the dragon statues pop out of existence?

How did you get this episode and can someone please send it to me?
Its on the dvd set, which is actually pretty cheap at the moment
So wait, Sheila went back into the castle to help Karina who she had known for a day, instead of going back to their world? Sensible.
the kids were ultimately unwilling to even kill Venger to go home, besides thanks to the unproduced episodes this is Venger's last appearance, Sheila perminately removed the biggest threat to the realms non lethally,
@@thanotosomega well not kids of today, they would kill Venger for a PS5, Nintendo switch probably even a popeyes sandwich!
They had sooo many chances to go home, heck even went home at least once, and came back just because of a guy they already demonstrated they could easily dominate. Plus they were told that all that power was useless in their world, so if he did follow them into their world, its not like he could do anything. Plus I don't see why the stupid unicorn was a problem. It's not like there were unicorns everywhere in the DnD realms. Did we see any? And it was a baby? So they could just raise it and it would adapt to their world. It's not like she had to eat special magic unicorn food. She was eating the same crap they were. So why all the fuss about not getting home, they had plenty of chances. At this point they are there because they want to be, acting like they dont.
Except episode 4 which isnt on the archive unfortunately
@@osirisgothrayou not good watching the cartoon.
5:12 The other voice actors must have been snickering.
I bet no-one saw who Karena' brother is.
I liked this episode. It was really quite horrifying when Venger was about to destroy Karena - which emphasises that while he is occasionally portrayed sympathetically and having a sense of honour, he really is also quite evil.
I liked when Karena turned round, and her "evil" was basically illustrated by her facial expression. Much more frightening - and accurate - than to, as they usually do, portray evil as a kind of ugliness. Though I noticed in later frames she had also got Venger-style fangs. Also - does this mean that Venger's wings are basically a part of his robes?
Finally, what's with Hank's slide down the mountain at 6.10? Does he have Vorsprung Durch Teknik legs?
Theres a part while in the citadel they show Karena's shadow, and it has wings
Also at 17:21-17:24 she busts out her wings
Great cartoon not enough episodes in 3 years they made 27 episodes
9:06 Did someone realize that World has two Moons?
Great episode. Sheila hot some normal writing for once and became more 3D than ususal. Too bad it took 25 episodes for the team to realize that women have souls.
Am I missing something, why is everyone saying DM is Venger & Karena’s father?! I thought DM said Venger was he student.
When Eric touched Karena’s shoulder and she hissed ‘Don’t touch me’ and everyone else is just nonchalant kills me 😂
No, Venger and Kareena are dungeon masters children. This is confirmed in the last episode “Requiem” which was remade (avalible on UA-cam) into the cartoon.
Dungeon Master was a bad father.
Yes ....don't who know venger is his son😂😂😂..he look wizard and Wenger look athletic 😂😂😂
Woke!
Who is mother of venger. Wife of DM
She's stuck in some kind of prison so either Tiamat or Uni. Take your pick.
@@trueshy no I think she was sendora! Owner of magic box
There is no way these kids would have had any chance against a deity like Tiamat or a wizard like Venger.
They all were given Plot Armor though!
Shelia is fit
So is Diana
If I had Corrina's power, I woulda finished off Venger once-&-4-all!
Hmm If Katarina is Vengers sister
And Vengers is Dungeons Masters so'n ....
Then DM have a Daughter too 😮😮😮
I wonder, what Eric's stats are? He is practically bad at everything except defending. Constitution and Charisma i guess. He fears his own shadow and trips over his own feet, could get lost in a closet i bet
The animation cells for this show reveal some stats = Venger = 7' 0", Hank =5'10" & Eric 5'8". Albert (a.k.a. Presto) & Sheila are the same height.
Eric comes from a rich family, so he acts a bit spoilt and immature.
But in one episode, Eric remarked that he and his dad are not close, and it hurts him. I felt sorry for Eric when I heard him say that.
😆😍😁
I was wondering if Venger & Kareena are Dungeon Master's kids then is there a chance that there's a Dungeon Mistress?
Yes zandora 😉
@@jpm265 Oh, that's his wife
@@DJDizzyStorms it’s a sure bet I would say
@@jpm265 I could see that working I guess but I'm not too familiar with this show
Yes Venger's and Kareena's sister is Dungeon Master, they were both trained as apprentices by DM 1000 years ago, Venger's fall in the same vein as Vader in Star wars was tempted to evil by the Nameless One shown in "Dungeon at the heart of Dawn. In lust for power both who are twins siblings fell to evil. The whole purpose of the pupils being in the realm was to ultimately was to redeem per written but unaired final episode Requiem Venger back to the light side which was the wrap up of the series.
WHAT... Venger has a sister?
Dungeon master was obviously a horrible father

For the first time since watching all the available episodes again, I gave one a thumbs down. This episode was weak, especially in comparison with earlier ones. *SPOILERS* Why wouldn't Sheila denounce Karena to the others after Karena admitted that she used her and wasn't Sheilas friend? Instead, after Karenas battle with Venger, Sheila runs up to Karena with the others instead of trying to stop them. And why would Sheila take the cloak off and become visible BEFORE running past the orcs after taking the ring off Karena's finger? The ending with one of them sacrificing the way home to help one of the realms inhabitants had been done at least once before in a prior episode. Like I said before, a weak episode IMO.
I think that either:
A) Shaila is an idiot
or
B) The cloak can provide invisibility for a limited time and then must be re-casted. Possible that it depends on how much the user moves on something.
As far as your reply B): I didn't think of that, but even so, because of the other reasons I mentioned I still say this is a weak episode.
a) I'm pissedb) I'm pissed
Washingtonguy13 hi
I feel like something important might have been cut out for some reason.
Hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
meh this episode is like a fanfiction
At 10:30 Karena did a very good thing by telling that Uni to be quiet and keeping her quiet. If only she had actually killed that annoying unicorn.
Sheila, Bobby and Uni are the worst. The other 4 could team up with the smart mouth kid Eric became friends with and that child of the stargazer and it would be a better show.
Lorn and Kosar are their names.
I love Sheila ❤️
Hush. I had a massive crush on her when I was a kid.
I'm not hushing. Diana was a better crush.
Sheila had het moments, but Uni was annoying.
Lame episode.
Why did 80s cartoons feel the need for a "cute" mascot? Uni is literally the worst
Scrappy doo?
parental groups, and/or selling toys and stuffed animals.
lol
Uni is bad, but Orco, Snarff, and that annoying little robot from MASK are far worst in my opinion.
Uni has nothing on Snarf.
Erik was just trying to get some poon.
