What do u mean about ground breaking features? I do agree with you false color shutter angle … I would like to see wave form and even apple pro res..
@@Sweatmonkey513 I mean I feel like on one hand, these additions are great, but on the other hand, they're mostly if not all features that most cinema cameras already have out of the box, so there's nothing special about Sony adding these features to the FX3. Other than the fact that it is now probably 95% there to having all the main features of other cinema cameras.
And yea, wave form and apple pro res would be nice too!
@@AlexPerri I feel u there. Man Sony just shot them selves in the foot. How are they going to add big features and they know everybody’s gonna complain about it. And then re-add the features. I hope they do it at six months and not wait 8 months or 12 months

Oh man would open gate be SO clutch. And definitely shutter angle too!
FYI the DCI 4k setting in this update actually crops the top and bottom to get that DCI 4k aspect ratio. If you compare the UHD 4k with DCI 4k you'll see how they are both equally as wide but the DCI 4k has cropped top and bottom (DCI still has more resolution though).
It makes sense because the camera is already using the full width of the sensor in UHD and so it physically can't get any wider to get that DCI 4k aspect ratio, so it just crops top and bottom.
I’m literally writing this same comment everywhere because people seem to incorrectly assume DCI 4k (in this camera specifically) will give them a wider FOV lol. Unfortunately, it doesn’t. Anywayyy I actually love this update bc we finally got Focus Breathing Comp. And we also got the ability to map S&Q to a custom button!
Thanks for sharing that! I didn't know that until earlier today and tried it out and you're absolutely right. I guess that totally makes sense thought. But yes, focus breathing comp is fantastic! Although I do wish all these features came with the FX3 out of the box, I'll gladly accept any features they add on.

bro, i bought 2nd hand FX3, so no cables. I use a USB-C to USB cable to connect FX3 to Computer right?
Noise reduction control. Shutter angle is easy to switch just a convenience thing, but NR control one needs to shoot Raw to get it.

fx30 by updating it to 2.0 are the sdxc prograde UHS-II 128GB V60: 250MB/s and sdxc Lexar SDXC Professional 128GB 1800x UHS-II GOLD series, Class 10, U3, V60, still read or causing problems? Thank you
Lens Breathing Compensation is Golden for me. Give us Open Gate, 1.5, 1.6, 1.8 de-squeeze and shutter angle. Give us 24fps, 48fps in all modes.

I heard firmware 2.0 had worse battery performance than the prior. Does anyone know if 3.0 helps battery life at all?
I haven't noticed to be honest. I feel like my battery performance had definitely gone down a bit after 2.0 and I haven't noticed a big increase or anything. But I do always use my FX3 with a big v-mount battery so it's hard to tell sometimes.

Out of curiosity, what do you mean by outdated and bad looking 24p?
@@AlexPerri the the smeary look. 24 p looks terible in my opinion. 24p was born because of a technical limitation and high film costs but it never looked good to me. It was the slowest acceptable frame rate they could use to save costs. Its jerky like a stop motion video to my eyes. I prefer 50p with little to no motion blur. Tastes differ of course but i have modern day eyes higher frame rates look better to me.
