B523 was the best whiskey I had last year.

B523 just came to PA. Def the best batch I’ve tried so far from Larceny. It’s like a glob of dark fruit and caramel.

Nice review! I’m a fan of Larceny BP’s for the most part. My store owner friend lets me have them for 44.00 bucks so I’m always a buyer:) I really like the C922(backups), B522, B523, and C923 Cheers!
I found this one today. First time I've ever found a Heaven Hill LE this early. I haven't gotten to try many in this line but I like it.
I have come to realize that I actually like LBP over ECBP. Another great video, Cheers!
Just got B524 and just compared to C923. So different! I’m a fan of both, way more fruit on the C923 but the B524 is aggressive in a good way. Leaning C923 but we’ll see what happens.
Why not blend some of these batches and see if you can improve the overall experience. So short finish on A124 long finish on B524 go 1:1 and see if that carries over. I know mixing doesn't always produce good results but when you end up with so many batches it seems you may be able to create something really good and unique.
Just opened mine today. I get red hot cinnamon on the front and cherries on the long finish.
Through 2022 and 2023 I think that Larceny BP got better with each batch. A124 was ok, IMO, but not great. Overall, great value! Cheers 🥃
Thanks for the review. C922 remains the best LCBP I've ever had, followed by B523. C923 drinks a lot hotter than either of those, to me (it's still really good, but I find it much better over ice). I may skip this and just wait for this year's C release; I've got plenty of C922 to hold me over, haha.
My first larceny BP was b523 I don't hate it and I kind of enjoy it however I don't seem to go to it very often. Still think it is solid for 65 to 70 bucks
Sounds like this B524 would be perfect to create great home blend with another one to add a longer finish to batch with some softer tasting notes🤔
A124 will end up as one of the top 10 best whiskies this year.

Look, why don't you just quit reviewing Larceny Barrel Proof! I appreciate that you admit to not liking it, but then, why review it? As you said, it's a biased review and really has no relevance to folks like me who appreciate the brand. I have found your past reviews of Larceny Barrel Proof to be way off base. For example, you disliked B523, which ended being Breaking Bourbon's bourbon of the year. Just stop it.
Noted - if folks align with my palate, then it’s relatable to them. If they don’t (as is the case for you), then skip the review. Simple as that.
