Drinking this now. Very impressed , I’ve been slowly falling in love with Stagg. But what’s not to love. I think your best description is cotton candy on the nose and caramelized orange on the palate. It’s viscous and easy to drink for the proof (if you’re experienced). One of their best yet, no doubt about it.

I was at the distillery and bought this bottle, and I do believe that it's overhyped. I've bought several bottles this year that were better.

Perfect timing. My bottle of EC SB is almost gone. And the idea of a darker more chocolatey EC sounds appealing. So I'll be looking for some of that EC PGA.

50K bottles sounds about right to me for 300 barrels...Cal, you figured how many bottles for a full barrel, but these would have been 15 year old barrels. I generally figure around 185-200 bottles per for a typical 6-10 year barrel...so 165ish bottles per 15 year barrel seems to be pretty much in line with my thinking.

Lost Monarch is delicious, in my opinion it beats the Pipe Dream but I bet the Pipe Dream Cask Strength could possibly beat the Lost Monarch, either way I like what they’re doing out there amongst the redwoods cheers 🥃 my guy

Just got B524 and just compared to C923. So different! I’m a fan of both, way more fruit on the C923 but the B524 is aggressive in a good way. Leaning C923 but we’ll see what happens.

Just thinking… there’s prolly only about 100 bottles or less per barrel since it’s 15yr old. if there’s 300 barrels I’d say 30,000 bottles tops. But all depends on what floors in the rickhouses the barrels came from.

42:18 Cam, we always appreciate hearing your tasting notes on our products. Our batch 3 Toasted Barrel, Barrel Strength Rye is an 8 barrel blend. We selected the 8 barrels for the blend after they were blended together the blend was aged in 8 medium toast barrels for 3 months then those 8 barrels were blended together for bottling. You hit the nail on the head for what we wanted to accomplish in this blend; candied citrus, floral, balanced spice then subtle notes of cream (for us the toasted barrel should be a subtle accent note and not over power the delicate citrus, floral and spice notes we love in great Rye). We always take a chefs approach to blending, take the best ingredients than blend them to create a multilayered Whiskey experience rather than focus on the separate components.
