Hey guys, today on my channel we are reacting to some scammers getting SHAMED on social media! Have you ever been scammed before? I definitely have and its NOT fun. The good thing about getting scammed is that once you have you'll never make the same mistake twice. And who knows, maybe you might take it upon yourself to troll a scammer and shame them on Instagram, facebook or twitter. Enjoy :)

Actually just got a text scam on my phone this morning. Apparently my, "Royal Scotia Bank account has been hacked" interesting that a Nonexisitant bank can have that happen, eh?! 🤣🤣🤣

Fun Fact: My uncle LEGITIMATELY won a cruise one time! They had to work so hard to convince him it was real. Turns out, he had entered a raffle on a different cruise and ended up winning!
How’d they manage to convince him it was legit? That sounds awesome 😂
I am glad they convinced him. I can see that happening in today's society. There are so many scams out there.

We won a cruise once too 🛳
One time my dad got a call from scammers saying they kidnapped his brother and wanted $100,000 while he was literally sitting next his only brother.
He gave them a fake name and the scammers were like "yeah, we have him and we're going to kill him if you don't pay" then he said "please do it, that way all of my dad's money is going to be for me" and hung up.

Actually that scam has gotten better they did it to my sister recently and they convinced her they had my mom. When she didn't have the money they moved on to my Dad trying to convince HIM they had my sister and he had to pay to release her.

My dad always answers and eggs the scammers on when he has time. He’ll play along and even give them fake names, social security numbers and credit card numbers with too many digits, etc. He always tries to because it wastes the scammer’s time and limits the amount of people they contact that day, if only a little.
I’m currently learning German and my favorite thing to do is answer the scammer in German, then act like my English is really bad.
Fun story: My son is in the army and I get an email yesterday telling me that my child is injured and I have to call this 1800 number to confirm his birthday, social and full name before they tell me what happened. These scammers have absolutely no soul to try and scam an solider is low. The fact that they prey on older people and people who are at low points in their life is horrible! I had a minor heart attack when I read that message. Thank heavens the red cross was able to confirm he is fine and its a scram.
My parents are both in their 80s, but my dad is SHARP! Someone called them saying they had won a car and some crazy amount of money. My dad played along for a while (he knew it was BS) and after the scammer was about to get his address to deliver his new car, my dad asked him if his parents were still living. The scammer said yes...so my dad asked him "How would they feel knowing you're out there trying to scam people like this?" My dad is the awesome..:)
Being sharp in your 80’s is impressive, the older people around me aren’t making it there without dementia. Do you know how your folks managed to stay so with it? Interesting that couples sometimes both have the same level of mental clarity. Might be a lifestyle choice. Just genuinely curious.
Also years ago, before my father and MIL got really bad, they got a car key in the Mail so they went to the car dealership who sold them a new car. They had JUST finished paying off their own car and it was in great shape. After that my husband told them no more big financial decisions without him.

Your dad sounds a lot like my dad. He's a prankster at 78... He totally has been known to prank scammers

The lost pet one happened to me. I was so desperate to find my cat that had gotten out and all I kept getting was scammers saying the exact same thing. That I needed to give them a confirmation code and prove my identity it was just so odd and I kept actually thinking someone had found my cat. Eventually I did find him, he’d been with a neighbor after meowing at her door. But yeah, I’ll never forget that. I eventually realized this was a scam but it was so crazy to me someone had actually tried to take advantage of my desperation to find a pet of all things.
My Husband and I watch your change EVERY DAY. I have so much appreciation! My husband and I bond, I crack up and we always react almost the same way. My grandmother got a call from someone claiming to be her grandson and said he needed money for bail. She strung him along and knew it was a scam because none of her grandkids call her “grandma”
My grandmother was very strict, and a bit of a b*tch, bless her...
I'm pretty sure she would have berate the poor bastard for being arrested and angrily hang the phone upon him with a "and now enjoy your mistakes, maybe it will teach you something useful, you moron!"

In school I didn't cuss or swear but one time this guy called for 2 weeks at 3am in the morning I ignored the first week but the second week I answered and told him nobody by that name lives here HE STILL CALLED till I finally cussed him out and said if you don't stop calling next time it will be my dad who answers and if you think I'm a cusser wait till you hear him cause he would be mad if he has to be woke up before he's supposed to especially if he had to go in early guy got the hint to stop calling after that

My grandparents got a call that they had committed tax fraud and the police were on their way to arrest them. They both almost died that night from heart attacks and shock because they legitimately thought they were going to jail

I had a scammer call me the other day using a spoofed number. The reason I knew it was a spoofed number was because it was MY OWN NUMBER! So, basically, I was calling myself. Hilarious.
My son got one of those calls spoofing my number. He actually went off on them.

I once had a scammer threaten to call cps and get me taken away from my parents because I didn’t give the phone to them. I was like 15. I said ‘go ahead’.

Best scam call I ever got was when I worked at the YMCA, they said they were the Russians (this was about 8 years ago), and they were taking over. They told me I had to start paying them taxes is their currency and made a few other demands. I tried to explain to them that we were a non-profit and were exempt from paying taxes. Then the guy got frustrated and told me he was on the roof and had raised a Russian flag over the building and claimed it as Russian soil. I told him the land had been donated to the YMCA and that the board of directors was not likely to hand over the deed, which only made him more frustrated. Then he told me he had a parachute and would jump. It was had not to laugh… it was only a two story building and he would hit the ground long before the parachute had a chance to deploy (the mental picture I had was hilarious). At that point I called the cops, I didn’t want anybody jumping off the roof. It usually would take about seven minutes for the cops to get there (we were only two blocks from the police station) but we had about 7 cop cars there in less than two minutes. I cannot express how disappointed we all were when the cops searched the entire roof and didn’t find anybody with a parachute ready to jump, but we all had a good laugh.
I really enjoy Charlotte video all of them I went on a binge watch all of them to catch up to now recent episodes such a fan of her she hilarious and funny I have same sense of humor love it .

I shouldn’t be surprised at how entitled and awful people can be to one another but it’s sad that all these technological advances are used to cheat and lie instead of doing something useful or in lifting. At least we get to laugh at them with you, Charlotte. I really appreciate all the work you & your editors put into these videos
The smart thing to do, Shartellote, is to HIRE someone to find these things for you. Preferably the editor. Or maybe not. I don’t know your editor and I don’t know if he would know your style but basically it will make your life a whole lot easier if you film when someone sends you a folder of stuff to react to. 🎉and we don’t care! Because we want YOU! And your NATURAL reactions. It makes the video so much more wholesome and better 😊

My mother had her own phone number try to call an scam her. Ut was hilarious she strung them along till she dropped the bomb that they were calling from her OWN NUMBER lol🤣

Someone hacked my late father's Facebook page and wished a friend a Merry Christmas. She asked the hacker what heaven was like, then told them off with some spicy language.

I love your videos. I get scammers on my phone a lot. Once I got one saying my vehicles warrantee was expired and I acted concerned about it asking what I should do about it and whatnot, then told them I don't have a drivers license and my vehicle was my bike. They got mad at me and hung up.

I always start watching the commercials so you can get paid, sometimes I forget and I get 15 minutes into a 40 minute commercial before I remember to skip the ad 😁

Yesterday I got a disgusting ad full of lies from Prager U (The following disclaimer is located at the bottom of the website: PRAGER UNIVERSITY IS NOT AN ACCREDITED ACADEMIC INSTITUTION AND DOES NOT OFFER CERTIFICATIONS OR DIPLOMAS.).
I know our dear Charlotte does not agree with those bigots and assholes and their hate speech. Charlotte doesn't have a hateful molecule in her body!

Everytime I get a scam call I answer in Russian (I am learning it). One time I got a scam call from Liverpool the guy on the other end sounded terrified when I answered 😂

Lately, I have been getting calls about my "car" having problems and that I need send money and/or have to get the scammer to come and pick up the car.

I have figured out the scammers really don't like when I tell them my name is Benjamin Chode. I googled an Indian insult and benchod means "Sister F***er". After they repeat the full name out loud, I say, "just call me Ben" then they say it again, take a beat or two, and usually hang up, some times it takes longer for them to catch on. One guy was so pissed he started swearing & insulting me very softly, almost like creepy sexy talk, I'm guessing so his boss didn't hear. He went on for like 3 minutes and I couldn't stop laughing. He ended with something like "Your wife is a prostitute with dogs!" I love wasting their time and money!

I don't really get why someone would give money to someone stupid enough to put gorilla glue in their hair. They're a lost cause.
My mom died a couple of years ago and I can't imagine how I'd feel if I got random Facebook message from her. That would upset me on many levels.

Several years ago I had a debt collector call my Mom's landline, and I answered and they said my Dad owed a huge debt and insisted they saw him a couple months prior in court.....I proceeded to tell him my Dad has been dead for 4years and I can reach out to vital statistics to send you a certified copy of his death certificate. He starts apologizing profusely and is quick to end the call.
That dude didn't put glue in his hair, just more scamming.

The glue girl actually donated the money after being pressured.
I heard the surgeon donated the procedure...
She donated it because of legal reasons. It was set up to help pay to get the glue out. The services to get it out were donated. It would’ve been fraud to keep the money.

@@kimwhitehead9096 unfortunately- people who collect money through GoFundMe campaigns often can't be charged with fraud if they collected the funds in good faith (so if she raised the funds asking for help to get the treatment- because she didn't know at that time that the treatment would be donated)- she doesn't have a legal obligation to give the money back because she collected it in good faith for that procedure.
Similarly- if you raise money to take your kids to Disney because your child has cancer- and then Disney decides to give your child a ticket for free - your family is not committing fraud if they use the funds for another purpose because they were collected in good faith.
The HONORABLE thing to do- would be to return donations or to donate them, if you've gotten the treatment (or trip in my example) donated to you. That's the correct thing to do, morally, but you're not legally obligated.
Where you get into trouble with fraud is when you raise money for a situation that was NEVER true- like collecting money for your child with cancer when your child was never sick in the first place.
There are a not of states that still have not caught up with online issues like GoFundMe or other online actions that could be crimes like fraud. Hopefully, the government will continue to catch up with technology.
🍑 gotta luv it wen they insist to talk to the owner asking for him by name for debt collections repeatedly for yrs and my manager told me to respond by saying "well if u insist on talking to him, u better get urself a Ouija board and let him know we say hi and we miss him. Since he's been dead for like 10 yrs now..." They tend to hang up after that. Lol it's a family run company and his son's don't have the same names soooo I responded one time saying, "ur calling the wrong number to speak to the dead, I'm not a secretary for the deceased so stop calling me"
I was irritated that day they called me 3 times that day and 2 of the 3 was the same person!

I love those scam emails I get that start with "Hello, [the name of my email adress]", because for some reason they always leave the number at the end in.
My favorite one is the warranty just expired on your car. I'm like yeah my car is 16 years old. 😂

*Man's voice* "Hey there (my name), this is your manager, I need you to take care of something for me."
*INSTANTLY SUS*
Me: "Oh? What can I help you with?"
Man: "*Says some bull about a gift card transaction over the phone*"
Me: "Uhm, sure thing, but I'm sorry, which manager did you say this was?"
Man: "It's your store manager, Joey."
*DING DING DING*
Me: "Oh, wow, Miss Joey, you don't sound so good, you feelin' okay?"
Man: "What?"
Me: "JOEY IS A WOMAN, MORON."
Then I hung up. xD
(my guess is that he called earlier in the day phishing for manager names by asking who was there that day, and someone said "Joey" but didn't say MISS Joey. xD )

When i get the "cars warranty" calls, i ask them "which car? You must be more specific, i have a livery service so i have a whole fleet." All you gotta do is keep asking questions🤷🏾♂️
Someone literally scammed me from a lost pet poster my husband and I put up for our cat. I was so damn mad.
