So, my daughter is a teenager. Everyone has gotten that one where they say your extended warranty on your car is terminating soon, right? So, my daughter gets the call. She tells them she doesn't have a car. They keep talking. She tells them again I DON'T HAVE A CAR I AM A CHILD. They actually ask "ok, what kind of car don't you have"? My daughter started laughing so hard and just hung up the phone
I get them too. I do not have a license. I say is it my candy apple red Lamborghini or my black Aston Martin or my black Tesla. One time I said I was going in a meeting that will make me ten million dollars. My car warranty is the least of my problems
im literally LEGALLY BLIND (i smugly informed them). you wouldnt believe how fast they hang up when you ask where to pick up your free car so you can re-sell it ^_^
Before COVID started, my oldest sister was picking up an elderly lady to take her to the Senior Center for lunch. The woman asked if they could stop by Walmart first, because she needed to buy gift cards. “The IRS called to say I owe $2000 in back taxes, and I must pay with these gift cards, or I’ll be arrested.” Sister couldn’t convince her it was a scam, so took her directly to the Walmart manager. He managed to make her understand.
It was very kind of your sister to help this lady. I am 70 years old. I buy a gift for myself once a month kinda like a savings account. Now, when you buy a gift card, you have to click on the machine telling it that you're using for legitimate reasons and you should not be scammed. That's also why they have put limits on the amount of gift cards you can buy at any one time.
Can we talk about how that Rite Aid store put that sign on their gift card rack though, to warn their customers? Good on them for looking out for the community!
I remember when my mum got a call with someone telling her that there was a warrant out for her arrest 🤣 and that she had to pay a fee. She was so pissed off and actually thought it was real. I went in and said mum hang up, nobody who deals with this stuff is going to phone you at home and tell you there is a warrant out for your arrest 🤣 like you literally sit at home in your room like a teenager and watch TV, I very much doubt your going down for that.
Myles Bellott, it's the same in the UK, I was getting these scam calls regularly so leave my answering machine on, friends call me on my mobile phone not my landline.
About 9 years ago, a friend of mine’s identical twin sister passed away. A few years after her sister passed away, a scammer messaged her and several of her friends (including me). Scammers that do this are the lowest of the low. One of the others that got the message really let that scammer have it. My friend changed the password on her sister’s profile, as she keeps it as a memorial.
@@southern-stylesugardoll682 haha, 4 for me. Lol I get calls about my ssn being suspended every day, at least 7 times. I couldn't tell you how many numbers I have blocked so far, and they're still calling with the final attempt. Lol
I love the calls where the IRS is sending the local sheriff after me. I told them I'd be waiting, but to knock instead of ringing the bell cause the dogs would get riled up.
@@talitafranco7230 no really. Wow. Gees I was talking about the leap year which has only ever been the once every four years a 29th day to February. Which is what I was talking about. Can't believe I have to explain this. You might want to understand what a 'isn't 2022 a Leap year? Means. It's not asking if there is a Feb 30th which has never existed. Ever. Come on you have to be smarter than that.
I rescued grandma a couple weeks ago. And she said the exact same thing. “They knew so much!”. It got to the the FBI, CIA, CCC, ATF were going to come arrest her. She was petrified. I’m with Charlotte. I grabbed the phone, I said come on over, asshole, let’s play! I’m still waiting.
Haaahahahaha! Love it. I got a similar call with ‘Ma’am you need to get to your computer right now! There is a security breach!’ I laughed and said Ya know I love the way you tried to scam me….A+ for effort tho….
@@neryalmendariz1143 I think it’s becz it would be too sus to send that much money to a stranger and the bank will check it and blah blah blah so they use itunes card so they can go past it
Girl thank you!!! I watched this video just the other day and you probably saved me from getting scammed! I'm waitning for a package and I just got that exact same IPS scam message. Since I'm waiting for a package I would probably have gone ahead and done whatever they wanted but because I recognized them from this video I called the police who confirmed that it was a scam and as long as I hadn't gone along with anything I could go ahead and block and delete the message (after giving them the number)
The best two I have had was the same scam, about a 'generous grant offer'. One pretending to be my uncle who is a wealthy business man who provides grants to other people, and the other pretended to be my stepmother. That one got a little confused when they couldn't correctly give me the name of their husband (my father) and when I told them I was sitting directly opposite her while talking to them. It's fun to mess with them when you know it's BS lol
Funny story, a while back I kept getting calls from numbers I didn't recognize. My rule of thumb is if I don't know it, I don't answer. Or if it is something important, they'll leave a message. Imagine my surprise when I actually got a few actual messages! And here's where I can't believe how dumb some of these callers are. When I check my voice mail, a number of times I hear, "Hello?... Hello?..." sometimes followed by a "is someone there? Hello?..." and yes, very heavy accents too. See, quite a while back I had my kids make a voice message saying "leave a message" all together, and forgot that I still had it as my voice mail. lol so these silly scammers were actually thinking someone answered! And some actually kept saying hello, expecting a response. 🤣Gives me a laugh how many times they would call and still respond to the voice mail, "Hello?...Hello?..." Nobody here but us chickens🐔🐓🐔🐣🐤🐥🤣🤣
I work in a natural foods grocery store, and we used to get calls saying that our electricity was getting shot off in an hour, if we didn't pay the bill with a credit card immediately. Ugh, we just laughed, but had to put up a sign to all of the employees that we were NOT behind on the electric bill.😂
The woman who owns a little neighborhood store got caught in that scam one time. Her father had just died the month before. Her father in law passed away a few weeks later. Her husband was out of the country for his father's funeral. So, she believed it was possible that the bill had been overlooked. She went and bought the gift cards they told her she needed to keep the power on in her store. They got her for nearly $800. Not that anyone can ever afford to just piss away $800. But, it was during a difficult time in her life as it was. Then to compound the theft of so much money. I wished that there had been some way to get her money back. Topped with a little revenge.
We fell for this one at my work, canceled the card so nothing got charged but felt dumb as hell XD granted, we did sometimes fall behind the electric at the shop because the auto pay was messed up so it was believable until I hung up and was like wait...
Someone hacked my late dad's Facebook. We found out when a friend of his got a message wishing her a Merry Christmas. She responded asking the scammer what heaven was like. I was more surprised that the very serious and religious woman used words, that I have never heard her say before to rip a strip off of the scammer.
A buddy of mine was getting sucked into a romance scam last year. He was bored and lonely in lockdown, so understandable on his part. But then I saw some of their messages, and I asked where she's from. He said she's from Florida. Born and raised? Yup. At least, that's what she had told him. I spent years working with ESL students at the college level, and without getting too far in the weeds, there's a difference between the mistakes native speakers and non-native speakers make. This chick - if it was a chick, who really knows - was not a native speaker, so her identity was clearly a lie. When I told my pal this, he got really uncomfortable and admitted that she had pressured him into sending gift card codes. She was trying to get him to do other shady shit, but "fortunately," he didn't have any real money to send her. Every scam I've seen is characterized by language errors. Between friends, nobody cares about "proper" English, but if it has anything to do with money/business, friend rules are off. Be super critical! Seeing that communications are rife with mistakes should be a huge red flag for you. A real professional communication will have been edited. Don't be fooled!
I do know that the scammers are getting more and more attitude because once I was on the phone with a lovely gentleman from Bangladesh and I finally just said "you guys are getting bold" and he said "yes we are". Chilling!
I'm listening to your story at the beginning, and I got the EXACT same text scam today! I immediately knew it was a scam, because I haven't ordered anything online since August 2020 (I've ordered things and picked them up as curbside pickup since then, but nothing needed to come through the mail). It was an instant ignore for me. Glad you didn't fall for it.
The housing/rent scam actually happened to my aunt. The house was stolen & had the locks replaced, so the scammers were able to give her a full tour of the house, plus keys, making it seem completely legit. She had even paid rent to the scammers for a few months. In hindsight, the only thing that had seemed suspicious to her was how quick/eager they were to hand over the keys to the house. It wasn't until the real owners were informed by a neighbor, and called the cops on my aunt that she even knew that the house had been stolen. The police told my aunt that these scams are apparently so common in her state (Georgia) that they don't even recommend renting there. Edit: Oh, and of course the scammer suddenly "disappeared" when my aunt tried to contact them again.
I used to work for a government agency doing surveys. The scammers are usually a step ahead, and we play catch-up very well. Alerting people to be hyper vigilant to fraud, that’s hard.
They tried that rental scam on the house next to us. The game real estate agent wasn't too happy when the actual agent showed up with the cops while they were trying to show the house by having people look in through the windows. I don't feel bad for calling them at all.
Just started watching your channel a couple days ago, but I gotta say, your humor is on point. As a Vancouver area resident I can say that yes, scammers are out in full force when it comes to taking advantage of the housing crisis currently. Thanks for bringing the funny through these times. I honestly haven't laughed this hard in a long time. 🤘🏻😁
I hate it when scammers prey on the elderly people. This was hilarious Charlotte. Law enforcement agencies always warn people against scammers down here in Arkansas where I live.
My grandma once got scam-called ... Dude: "Hi Grandma, this is me, your grandson Mark. I am stuck in Australia and can't come back to Germany" (My cousin did a work-travle year in Australia) My grandma played along: "Oh thats unfortunate, why arn't you able to come back?" Dude: "Grandma I am out of money. Would be cool if you could send me some" My grandma got serious: "How comes that you are out of money and stuck in Australia when you just called me yesterday saying that you safely arrived back in Germany?" Dude: Had nothing to say anymore and my grandma hung up Grandma: "Can I tell you something funny?" Me: "OK was it the phonecall?" Grandma: Bursts out laughing: "A scammer called me and pretended to be Mark, but I am not this stupid. Mark is back allready, you know he called me yesterday. Why are some people so dumb and don't do proper research when they want to scam someone?"
I had someone create a copy of my dead grandma's Facebook account and they started adding everyone on my grandma's friends list. This was shortly after she passed away and it was just awful for us all. I managed to get them to stop, but I really hate when they do stuff like that... :(
I get 'Scam Likely' calls. I got them non-stop on my old phone. Used to call One to Five times a day, maybe even more. Also, someone tried to call my cousins phone with a 'kadnapping' Scam. Luckily I was there because my grandmother though it was real. I knew it wasn't & hung up.
Char, once again you lift my spirits. 💜 please don't click scan links for purchases. Just go to your original confirmation purchase email and track the package from there. It's just safer for you devices and your future sanity.
A kinda funny yet sad story. My 19 year old nephew got a call from the "IRS" saying he needed to go get 2 $400 gift cards and send them the info. He was told if he didn't he would go to jail. Also told him to not tell anyone. After it was done he told his mom. He got scammed out of $800....smh. I can't believe he fell for it.
Charlotte, I LOVE your way of presenting, reacting, and imparting. 'Come at me scammers...I got my tips on! I'll scratch you through the SCREEN...' You are special among the you tubers kiddo!
I live in a border city (USA and Mexico) there were a few months where scammers were calling people telling them that their loved ones had been kidnapped and they needed to "pay a ransom or else" this is a very real fear and threat to many people living here so it was seriously one of the most underhanded scams I've ever seen or heard of. I know a few people who were understandably extremely upset with this. I also have those car warranty calls at least 3/4 times a week and lots of texts about packages that I have never ordered. Other scams I have experienced at work have been: - "electric company" needs us to pay the bill for our building or else be shut off in two hours -my boss gets subpoenaed for court as a child counselor and she was called and told that there was a warrant out for her arrest and that they were going to her home and work if she did not pay and immediately come in to the station. She cried and was also understandably upset at the idea and then go to the police station to be told it was a scam -calls for packages and other "insurance" and "advertising" opportunities for out business 🙄
@@hcaballero57 this still happens all the time! It really is that they prey on people and go for either people who are vulnerable or use the things people care about the most (family, homes, freedom when it comes to threatening jail and stuff) it’s so sad. And this was a two year old comment and we get even more scams now but thankfully not as intense as the others and usually AI so we realize quickly.
My husband tells them that he doesn’t have a car, and that he rides a bike. They’re like “oh, we provide coverage for motorcycles too”. He’s like “no, a bicycle. Can you cover my bicycle? I’m really happy to know that I can insure my bicycle!” This has happened a few times. They’ll either hang up on him, or they sound like they might actually feel sorry for letting him down, since they can’t scam him over a bicycle 🤣 He has two trucks 🤫 I once had one call me about my car (older model, paid off). I was with my ex, who was a mechanic. I told the caller that I already had a mechanic. He asked with an attitude if the mechanic fixes things for free. I said, “he better not charge me, I’ve been sleeping with him for years”. He was shook 😂
When I was working in Toronto, I was looking for a flat. I also went on Craigslist. And OmG, the absurdity of those adds! They would post pictures of gorgeous kitchens, living rooms, bedrooms and bathrooms in prestigious areas with very low prices, because "they had to leave the country fast, and they couldn't sublet them properly". One of them was supposed to be "located" on Bloor st. I found that odd, because as far as I knew, Bloor st was one of the most central avenues in Toronto, right downtown, and it was definitely not a residential area. There were companies, stores, consulates, and malls, but not appartments. So I googled the number and lo and behold, it was at the Yonge-Bloor subway station, located under the Hudson's Bay mall... lol!! Another one posted a picture of a lake beachfront mansion! Well not exactly a mansion, but it was a big two storey house, way too beautiful and prestigious to be priced that low. Another would introduce himself as engineer so and so, who had to urgently move to Africa for a major engineering project, and had no one to leave the keys of his appartment. Who introduces themselves as engineers??? LMAO!!! And now we come to the one I actually spoke to on the phone. A "pastor", with a distinct German name, it's been ten years, So I don't remember it. He was claiming to have urgently moved to Africa, because he was a missionary and wanted to rent his appartment. It was somewhere downtown. We spoke via email, and asked if he could call me. I was desperate to find an appartment, so I gave him my number. A minute later, I receive a phone call, from someone who was definitely not German. He had a distinct African accent, I think it was Nigerian. Didn't matter, anyone can have a German accent. He proceeded to inform me that I should transfer a considerable amount of Canadian dollars to his account, and then he would send me the key. I asked how could he expect someone to just pay for something she hasn't even seen, and why doesn't he just send his keys to a friend, so that they could show me the place. He immediately hand up and sent me an email, berrating me for not trusting "a man of God!!!" Blocked! Lol!!! Needless to say, I never went on Craigslist again...lol
Here in Oslo (Norway) it was a pretty popular renting scam a couple of years ago when a bunch of extremely expensive apartments were built near the harbour. The scammers would put these up for rent online for a ridiculously low price 😂 Anyone living here knew something was fishy when something is that cheap in Norway 😝 Honey, nothing is cheap here 😂
Charlotte, a huge shout out from South Africa, sooooo love your video's, you make a bad day disappear in one laugh, thanks for your amazing channel and content!!! mucho love
that exact same thing keeps happening to me, luckily my phone alerts me when they are trying to pull info from it and allows me to deny them the access. But they keep sending me texts about missing packages, which i actually did have go missing
I got a scam text just like yours today! I’m not even waiting for a package so... lol. I’ve gotten into it with many scammers when they call. It’s fun to call them on their BS! I always go along with it at first and then just mess with them before calling them out. 😂
Years ago I worked information technology in a small company. One of the managers of the company thought he was really tech savvy and decided that he wanted to get a font made of his hand writing. So he was going to respond to an online ad and send them a sample of his hand writing in script and print a sample of his signature and his credit card number and he didn’t see anything wrong with it. I said I would do that for free for him if he gives me the same information but I just won’t charge his credit card. He never understood why I was laughing at him.
Hey potato queen 👸,much love from 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🥔🥔🥔🥔💖💖💖💖im editing today as I woke up to a Royal Mail £2 scam!!!saying I owed £2 for shipping ty potato queen as I was aware from this video !! 💖
I had a scammer who called me saying I had a warrant for my arrest and needed to pay $500, or they would arrest me and take me to jail I said, "Come get me. When I went to jail, I spent 3 days and got time served and charges dismissed." Then he hung up
I received a call from the IRS (Indian Revenue Service) telling me I am being investigated for not paying my taxes correctly between the years of 2012-2017. They said my tax filings had mistakes and I didn't pay the correct amount of taxes. I told them there was no mistakes in my tax filings for those years. They insisted there was. I said no there wasn't. They insisted again, threatening jail time and thousands in fines and court costs. I said it wasn't possible that there was mistakes in my tax filings for those years. They said there was, again threatening to arrest me. Once again, I said it was not possible. They finally asked why it wasn't possible. I said that I retired in 2007 and I don't file income taxes, so how could there be mistakes in my tax filings when I did not file taxes? They asked what I did for money and I said I was an investor would made millions in the stock market, so I retired, and now my money is in muni-bonds (tax free) and I live off the interest. They asked "What is a moomey bond?". I said you work for the IRS and you don't know what a muni-bond is? They said "Just a minute" and got back to me after a couple of minutes of discussing what to do next, and said someone took out a fraudulent loan on my name and I owe the taxes on it. I said first of all, you don't pay taxes on a loan and second, what does this have to do with tax filings for the years of 20012-2017? They said nevermind about that, and that I need to pay the taxes on the fraudulent loan. I asked if this was their first day working for the IRS. This went back and forth for a little while and they finally gave up - it was so funny.
I was for a couple of weeks getting calls from folks claiming to be from Senior Benefits. They were trying to con me into buying life insurance. One LARGE red flag: They refused to give a base quote on how much it would cost per month. I found out on the website for the real company. Is that they don't call to get new folks to sign up. The false one was calling almost every day. Sometimes several times a day. So I let them know that the real company don't do what they are doing. Haven't heard from them since.

I got scammed thinking I was talking to like, Vin Diesel and then he started hitting on me. I was like, “dude. Vin Diesel is married and has kids. Peace out, scammer! Nice try!”
My poor mom got scammed out of over 5k when trying to rent a house. She just moved out of state, after living in her then current home for like 15 yrs. She never did any renting online, but she found a home on craigslist. It wasn't even too good to be true. It was a good deal, but not like amazing. She even got to go look at the house. Man told her they were living in their other home out of state, and needed to rent it for extra income. He had so many details. He even had a lease for her to sign...Those house/apt scammers go all in to make it seem super legit. Be very careful. They post listings in every state of the US, and in Canada, so don't think ur safer in one place than another. I tried to tell her not to send that much money until she had the keys in hand. Once she realized it wasn't going to happen, she got very depressed with massive anxiety from losing so much money. I felt so bad for her. My mom has always worked so hard for every singe penny that she has earned, and to see her get scammed like that broke my heart. She eventually found some really nice people to rent from, and is doing great now. She said she will never rent online again, unless she is physically meeting the person and it's done the right way. Another thing, there were multiple owners for the house, so it was actually hard to tell if he maybe partly owned it. Make sure u only give checks or money orders. Do not send people money to a pre paid card account or any other thing. A check and money order can be followed. Even if u Google and info comes back as correct, it can still be a scam. The biggest tip is to not send $ anywhere. I know this is super long, I just hope it helps someone. :)
How I deal with scammers: put my phone under a pot lid and smack it with a spoon for fifteen seconds. Spoon varies between wood, metal, or even plastic depending on my mood. Plastic is calmest, metal is *screeeeeeeeeeee*. None survive
Gotta be careful with job applications too. I applied for a job and got a personal email back. I thought this is great, but the email address was extremely unprofessional and so that made me uneasy. The conversation gave me weird vibes, so I reverse searched the email and it belongs to someone convicted and awaiting trial for multiple sexual assault charges. It would have been a very bad idea to meet up with his "assistant"
@Rulya Mórrigan Ard Mhacha I'm glad to hear that, because there was so much stuff going on and if I'm right they even got divorced over all of it. They said she threatened her adoptive family at the time even, that's what I was most horrified about. And she kept lying, aah! Crazy story.
@Rulya Mórrigan Ard Mhacha Pff, I feel bad for them too. They thought they were adopting a child and just wanted their family to be complete, but ended up in what seems like an absolute horror story. I'm glad she didn't actually kill the children or parents! Oh my gosh, what a evil person. Is she being charged now for what she did or just walking free?
@Rulya Mórrigan Ard Mhacha really when was this? I heard that the parents had another 7 charges added as medical evidence was presented and an affidavit from her bio mother stating she is a child and turned 18 only last year. The parents seperated and the father gave an interview in Feb 2021. Can someone post a link to the outcome?

I tried to get scammed by a random guy who wanted to be my sugar daddy. I went along with it to truly see how far he would go, it got to the point where he asked me for my cash app username, so I gave it to him because it doesn’t really matter, and then I got an email saying “password reset request” and “this person tried to log in from another device” I was like lmaoooo you really thought I wouldn’t be able to see you’re tryna log into my cash app 😂 I deleted it right away and cancelled my account because I didn’t even use it anyway.
I love how he texted: "I'm a dog" in three different languages. Its was Spanish, French and Italian. I know _perro_ in Spanish means dog from how you say hot dog. I also speak French a bit and I'm Italian so I know my language.
the one at 6:31, i'm a cashier in a grocery store and we're actually told that if we get a customer getting a tone of the same gift cards we have to call a supervisor to verify they're getting it for a legit reason and not because they're being scammed. and here's my scammer story: we were getting those 'your computer has a virus scam' for a couple of weeks and my dad, who's never had a computer and was worried my computer had a virus, got me and the person on the phone said 'blah blah blah you're Windows computer has a virus blah blah blah. here's the thing, my computer is a Mac. so i just said 'oh i don't have a Windows computer, it's a Mac' and hung up. the next time they called they said 'hello you're Mac computer has a virus'. so what do i do? i say 'i'm sorry i don't have a Mac it's a Windows PC' and hung up. this went back and forth for about four calls before they gave up lol. other than that unless it's a number we recognize we don't answer the phone.
2:48 lmao his grandkids will be calling the dude's grandkids in 2099. This is a family business, y'all, it's passed down from generation to generation.
My brother was the victim of a scam in a very different way. He was renting out an apartment in downtown TO that he had just finished renovating. Someone took the photos of the reno and created a listing for the place. It got far enough that people put in deposits on the place as potential renters. Sure enough when they sent the money and never heard from the “lister” the cops showed up at my brothers place wondering what was going on. My brother showed the legitimate ads and proved that he had nothing to do with it.
OMG OMG OMG I'm NEVER this early! I don't know what to do with this honor! I don't even have a speech prepared! *So, thank you, and I really do want world peace!* (I'll be back to put down the proper emoji! )
My favorite scam is when they tell me that I'm in danger of having my credit card debt called into collections and I have to pay immediately...I don't have not one credit.
I used to work at a dollar store. They promoted a younger girl over me. Fine. Whatever. She was nice, and at the time I was about to give birth to my first child. We got a call, and she answered the phone. I didn’t think anything of it. I was too busy stocking things I shouldn’t have been, and getting up on step ladders , because the main store manager didn’t give 2 shits about me, or the fact that I was 8.5 months pregnant. I didn’t pay any attention to what she was doing. I really needed that job, and was more focused on my safety. I come back to the front of the store, and she’s panicked, almost in tears, said it was the corporate office, and she might lose her job, which she needed badly as well. She was on hold, and I went back to working. About, an hour or so later I hear her sobbing. Turns out she had been scammed. She had given these people $1000’s of US dollars in gift store gift cards. The actual corporate office ripped her a new one, and almost fired her. They put her on probation, and demoted her.
I love love love money scam messages. I'm a financial crime analist at a bank :') Particularly the " sugar daddy" or " boyfriend" scams are hilarious cause they always ask me what I do for work, and even AFTER I TELL THEM WHAT I DO, they still message me scam shit :')
i used to get those scam calls telling me that there is an issue with my computer. so, i finally decided to answer one and just hear them out when normally i would just ignore the call and block the number. i was curious to see how the system worked. i asked the gentlemen what i needed to do and he walked me through the steps, but his accent was so strong that i legit couldn't understand him. it also didn't help that he spoke so fast. i had to ask him multiple times to repeat himself, and he got frustrated with me and hung up. i guess he, or whoever he works for, were the ones trying to scam me for the longest time since i haven't gotten a call since, and it's been years now. :) :)
I had one telling me that my auto warranty was expiring...I was bored so pressed 1 for more info. Anyhoo, I was basically a basket case in a tizzy because my warranty was about to expire and I didn’t know what to do, it was a Friday, what if my car broke down on the weekend, blah blah blah. Finally the man said, “it’s ok ma’am, no need to worry, we will take care of you, what kind of car do you have.”. I replied in a very worried panicked tone... “it’s blue!!”. He hung up. Had another one about my computer... strung him along for a while then told him I didn’t have a desktop, told him to piss off, and hung up. He called back, I hung up, he called back... the third time he and said, “curse you and your daughters”. I said, “I have sons, go f**k yourself!”. He didn’t call back.
I got a call from "Discover" to lower my rates and when I said I don't have a Discover card and he said, "ARE YOU SURE??"
I get them too. I do not have a license. I say is it my candy apple red Lamborghini or my black Aston Martin or my black Tesla. One time I said I was going in a meeting that will make me ten million dollars. My car warranty is the least of my problems
I get that all the time. It’s hella annoying
im literally LEGALLY BLIND (i smugly informed them). you wouldnt believe how fast they hang up when you ask where to pick up your free car so you can re-sell it ^_^

I got so many of those...my response cool, ill make some tea and biscuits and wait for them 😂
I got one of those. They asked me for my name and I told them I “didn’t have that information”
My favorite one is when the scammer says “This is your final warning”, then still calls you!
I've been having a final warning about my cars extended warranty expiring for about two years.

🤣Gives me a laugh how many times they would call and still respond to the voice mail, "Hello?...Hello?..."
Nobody here but us chickens🐔🐓🐔🐣🐤🐥🤣🤣
Ive gotten those same scam messages recently and it’s so funny cause my voicemail is my dad and not me🤣
I work in a natural foods grocery store, and we used to get calls saying that our electricity was getting shot off in an hour, if we didn't pay the bill with a credit card immediately.
My twin gets calls telling her that the electric bill is due mind you her name is not on the bill. Hahaha lol
He was on NARCOS. Also Gone in 60 seconds and Babel and he played Cesar Chavez
We fell for this one at my work, canceled the card so nothing got charged but felt dumb as hell XD granted, we did sometimes fall behind the electric at the shop because the auto pay was messed up so it was believable until I hung up and was like wait...
@@VoloKnits Ohhh noooo! When we'd get new workers is when it was crazy, they'd be in a panic!
Had that happen just yesterday
That is so true. If you just look for grammar mistakes, you’ll know to cut it off.
But, she had a place to stay at right, so it isn't like she didn't get her money's worth.
How long does it take for squatters rights to kick in? 😂
@@Shae_Sandybanks might not be squatters rights in Georgia. I know in California it's 5 years living in the home.

My grandma once got scam-called ...
Dude: "Hi Grandma, this is me, your grandson Mark. I am stuck in Australia and can't come back to Germany" (My cousin did a work-travle year in Australia)
My grandma played along: "Oh thats unfortunate, why arn't you able to come back?"
Dude: "Grandma I am out of money. Would be cool if you could send me some"
My grandma got serious: "How comes that you are out of money and stuck in Australia when you just called me yesterday saying that you safely arrived back in Germany?"
Dude: Had nothing to say anymore and my grandma hung up
Grandma: "Can I tell you something funny?"
Me: "OK was it the phonecall?"
Grandma: Bursts out laughing: "A scammer called me and pretended to be Mark, but I am not this stupid.

Other scams I have experienced at work have been:
- "electric company" needs us to pay the bill for our building or else be shut off in two hours
-my boss gets subpoenaed for court as a child counselor and she was called and told that there was a warrant out for her arrest and that they were going to her home and work if she did not pay and immediately come in to the station. She cried and was also understandably upset at the idea and then go to the police station to be told it was a scam
-calls for packages and other "insurance" and "advertising" opportunities for out business 🙄
I live in South Texas next to Mexico as well. We always get the one where your family was in an accident in Mexico and need to pay $2,000

I would use the 31st of one of the 30 days months because February having 28 is something people know right away but is there a June 31st?

8.49 that photo of someone advertising a SCAM flat/ apartment & it's just a picture inside the Ikea catalogue..I was looking for somewhere to live here in Brighton UK & the advert photo felt familiar ,did a reverse image search & it was David & Victoria Beckham's living room ..all for £800 per calendar month to live with the Beckham's !😂
Loving the tie dye 💗 I’m obsessed with tye dye!
I love how he texted: "I'm a dog" in three different languages. Its was Spanish, French and Italian. I know _perro_ in Spanish means dog from how you say hot dog. I also speak French a bit and I'm Italian so I know my language.
This video made my headache go away and my baby stopped crying! Thank you 😊 💓
All love Charlotte 🙋🏾♂️💙
the one at 6:31, i'm a cashier in a grocery store and we're actually told that if we get a customer getting a tone of the same gift cards we have to call a supervisor to verify they're getting it for a legit reason and not because they're being scammed.
and here's my scammer story: we were getting those 'your computer has a virus scam' for a couple of weeks and my dad, who's never had a computer and was worried my computer had a virus, got me and the person on the phone said 'blah blah blah you're Windows computer has a virus blah blah blah. here's the thing, my computer is a Mac. so i just said 'oh i don't have a Windows computer, it's a Mac' and hung up. the next time they called they said 'hello you're Mac computer has a virus'. so what do i do? i say 'i'm sorry i don't have a Mac it's a Windows PC' and hung up. this went back and forth for about four calls before they gave up lol. other than that unless it's a number we recognize we don't answer the phone.
2:48 lmao his grandkids will be calling the dude's grandkids in 2099. This is a family business, y'all, it's passed down from generation to generation.
Unless the calendar gets redesigned some time within the next 78 years, there's still going to be no February 30th on which they can make the call.
*So, thank you, and I really do want world peace!*
(I'll be back to put down the proper emoji! )
Still waiting on that emoji.
@@InteriorDesignStudent LOL, she never asked for one of this video!😂🖖🖖🖖

🤣
i used to get those scam calls telling me that there is an issue with my computer. so, i finally decided to answer one and just hear them out when normally i would just ignore the call and block the number. i was curious to see how the system worked. i asked the gentlemen what i needed to do and he walked me through the steps, but his accent was so strong that i legit couldn't understand him. it also didn't help that he spoke so fast. i had to ask him multiple times to repeat himself, and he got frustrated with me and hung up. i guess he, or whoever he works for, were the ones trying to scam me for the longest time since i haven't gotten a call since, and it's been years now. :) :)
My ex husband has lost about $100K to scammers & he still falls for them every time.
Good morning everyone much love and respect in Yeshua Christ have a blessed day
@Rulya Mórrigan Ard Mhacha you too
