Astley looks fantastic, and sounds better, whilst The Blossoms owned it, and a special shoutout to the drummer who looked so thrilled. Joy personified!
That was literally soul filling. Thank you, Rick. I'm so glad you never gave us up.
One of the best I’ve ever seen at Glastonbury. What a fucking superb secret set
The light that never goes out is never gonna give you up
I wasn't a fan of Rick in the 80s but a big smiths fan, seeing his performance at Glastonbury, well what can one say...absolutely brilliant x
Rick is the king of Glastonburry 🔥! The Best cover
I don't know how often I watched this video by now. Can't count anymore. Rick is just amazing with his deep voice + fabulous crowd singing from start to end. Wish I would have been there !
These songs need a true troubadour to make them soar.... Rick Astley is that type of great artist. He was arguably the best thing at this year's Glastonbury. Sensational.
This video have that feeling of history being made, in the sense of that people will be watching for decades to come
Having seen the smiths in 84 this just blew me away. The best set at Glastonbury ever
Absolutely CRUSHED it !!!!! Blossoms deserve some credit too. Rick you legend
A testament to what a bit of integrity can achieve. He has the talent, he then put in effort and passion and look. He had the whole crowd in his hand!
It's just fantastic to hear these brilliant songs being played live by people who obviously love and respect the music. The fact that Rick and Blossoms are from the Manchester area is the cherry on top.
Have watched this over and over again and it gets better everytime
You wouldn’t have imagined this but Rick and the Blossoms absolutely kill it. He is an absolute showman we saw him here in Oz with aha and it was a brilliant night.
Wouldn't have expected to get goosebumps reading this, but I did. Oh, the very thought of it , you LUCKY people!!
They played a nationwide tour last year and smashed it. ⭐️
I love that they didn't neglect any of the instrumental parts, everything is in there! I feel like sometimes memorable elements get hazed over when singers want to sing what they love and the band doesn't get the time to actually put it together so it sounds heavy-handed.
This is the best thing currently on UA-cam. Who knew. Great to see the youngsters knew the lyrics. Love Ashley’s growly vocals.
He even did the rolling R ...."crrrrrrrashes into us"😮
One of my highlights of Glastonbury, so glad I was there to experience it!
lost for words, most unexpected and best Glastonbury performance I've ever seen, can't stop watching it...
This video makes me emotional. Love seeing him on stage doing what he loves and uniting people while he does it. Music is awesome.
Elton John is a legend and so to is Guns and Roses but this has got to be my highlight of all of Glastonbury this year... You have won my respect RA an the Blossoms ❤
I totally agree - this performance was amazing.
The best performances I've experienced at Glasto are when the crowd and artists have fun together.
Rick Astley is a precious soul. Protect him at all costs.
how do you plan to do that?
Yes, let's protect millionaire rick. And let's banish mozza to the long road out to cursed earth. That's how it works, right?
@@booster330 Morrisey literally has an estimated net worth of 50 mil, compared to Rick Astley's estimated 16 mil. And that's ignoring the fact that you sadly think money is the only variable when it comes to wanting to protect someone. So your argument falls flat on all fronts. It's actually sad that there's people that think like you
@@chosone2 Lol@ thinking you're in a position to protect rick Astley . You people really are sheeple😅
@@booster330 Did any of what I commented say anything about me personally wanting to protect Rick Astley? So not only do you fail to make a competent argument, apparently you can't read either.
I was a huge fan of Rick's in the 80's, and spent years listening to the jokes about him. I am so happy to see him win Glastonbury this year with such ease. And i love to see the respect he's getting from the same people who couldn't stand him back in the day!! ❤
That crowd being right on every word brings tears to me eyes.
Talk about respecting your audience and your craft. Talk about the true meaning of being Rick Rolled. Fantastic.
Rick Astley & Blossoms covering The Smiths changed my life. I was grieving the loss of my beloved pet and they were the only ones who got me up again to dance. The lyrics and music started the healing journey for me. Thank you. Xoxo

E,
Sorry for your loss. It also helped me through a serious depression after I caught my fiance cheating on me. I hope you are doing better.
Stay positive. The world loves you. The world needs you xx
