My sister took her life on 6 July 2024 after over two decades struggling with mental illness. We had been estranged for over a year, but we were soulmates from the time we were children. I couldn't fix her no matter what I did, and towards the end of her days, I had to choose to save myself, as a sufferer of mental illness myself, when I realised my own trauma and realised it wasn't my job to fix her. This song embodies everything in the loss and the pain of being left behind, and all the words unsaid. There is a pit in me that can never be filled. This song was there for me as a lost and depressed 15 year old. And it's here for me now as lost and broken and depressed 34-year-old. Lights will guide you home, my darling sister and soulmate. Until I can hold you again.

What is what people together with music can create? Don’t be naive. It’s just a festival where they go to sing, they leave the venue and go back to ignore the real issues and fight against injustices. Wish all that people sing and shout to demand a ceasefire for example.

Hey, I understand where you are coming from but it’s not easy to create this, and yes just because people go back to the real world after it has happened it doesn’t mean that it didn’t happen and for the band themselves this is what they do day in and day out, they create positivity and they absolutely make this world a better place for all of us and that is the most amazing thing a group of people can come together and do, I love coldplays music, but more than anything I love the positive contribution they make to the world and to the people who support them, no one brings people together in a concert like they do and in a world full of negativity, I think everyone should be a bit more Chris Martin (or Coldplay)

As someone who spent 7 hours stuck in traffic driving back from my holiday in Cornwall because of Glastonbury I had a bit of resentment for this festival over the last 48 hours.
But watching this video and seeing so many people together having a good time and enjoying music after we all the shit we suffered with covid and now with all of the problems going on around the world this was a nice reminder that we need unity now more than ever and music is the universal language for that.

  • @NickJ7903

One of the saddest parts about Parkinson's disease in the case of someone like Michael J Fox, is that Parkinson's disease is often followed by dementia, they almost go hand-in-hand, but he doesn't have dementia, so instead of waking up each day not remembering the struggle of the day before, he suffers everyday and has no option but to watch his body degrade while his mind stays in tact. For over 30 years now, he has lived with this cruel disease and still continues to shine and inspire as many people as he possibly can. He is a blessing to the world. And, if you didnt already know this, this is not the first time that Coldplay has brought Michael J Fox up on stage to perform with them. Coldplay have a big love and appreciation for Michael J Fox and it seems very mutual.

The business of this band is to have melodies to sell to documentaries, advertising products, movies, etc. In essence, it's a rock substitute.

      ALTERNATIVE NATURAL REMEDIES
      Diet
A high complex carbohydrate, low protein diet will supply the higher amount of glucose needed to nourish the brain area that has been depleted of energy.
Eat whole grains such as barley, oats, wheat, millet, brown rice, couscous and kasha.
Best fruits are apples, pears, stone fruits, strawberries and cherries.
Eat more salads, greens, broccoli, sprouts, asparagus, spinach cabbage, carrot tops, dandelion, turnip and collard greens, potatoes, beets, yams, carrots, beans, peas, lentils and corn.
Protein should be from tofu, hummus (chick peas), tahini (sesame seeds) and seitan. Cut back to extremely small amounts of protein originating from animals.
Drink lots of distilled water and mixed vegetable juices.
      Supplements
Vitamin B complex, 100 mg. twice daily, as an enhancer of the brain/nervous system. Note: if taking L-Dopa, do not take extra B6 because it slows its assimilation. However, if B6 is given as part of combined B vitamins along with magnesium, the condition will improve.
Zinc picolinate, 30 mg. twice daily, prevents B6 from interfering with L-Dopa.
Magnesium citrate, 400 mg. three times daily. A deficiency of this mineral causes a deficiency of brain dopamine.
Calcium citrate, 500 mg. twice daily, is good for the transmission of nerve impulses.
Vitamin C, 1000 mg. three times daily.
Vitamin E, 200 .U. daily for first week. Build up slowly to 800
I.U. Latest investigations of Vitamin E therapy in Parkinson's Discase show high amounts (up to 30,000 I.U.) have highly benefcial results. This must be done under the care of a holistic physician only.
Octocosanol, 2 mg. three times daily, for muscle control.
CoEnzyme Q10, 30 mg. three times daily
Vitamin B12, sublingual, 500 mcg. twice daily.
      Herbs
Damiana has stimulating properties and is useful for nervousness.
Skullcap gives immediate relief of chronic and acute disease stemming from nervous afflictions.
      Amino Acids
Phenylalanine, 500 mg. three times daily on empty stomach, acts as a nerve stimulator.
L-Tyrosene, 500 mg. three times daily on empty stomach, for mood regulating.
L-Tryptophan, 500 mg. three times daily on empty stomach, is a calming neurotransmitter. (Be sure to obtain from pure sources.)
      L-Methionine, per label.
GABA, per label, for brain metabolism, and relaxes neurons.
Theonine, 500 mg. twice daily on empty stomach.
      Adjunctive Remedies
New types of cranial electrical stimulating devices have been investigated and may stimulate the degenerative electrical vibrations in the neurons. One such device is manufactured by Liss Co. located in Northern New Jersey.
A new diagnostic procedure B.E.A.M. (Brain Electrical Activity
Mapping) can pinpoint the area of the brain which is deficient in brain rhythms. With this knowledge, that area can be reintroduced to the neurotransmitter that is lacking.

My nephew died age 9 and this song was a fixture on the radio as we drove in and out of the hospital to see him. It holds strong memories and emotions within me and my family. This just reminded me the power and strength in music. There is good and kindness in the world. Its simply starts with us

Michael J. Fox, a truly amazing man, a truly amazing philanthropist, an amazing family man and a wonderful Canadian born individual. My husband had Parkinson’s and knowing the changes over time, it is truly amazing to see what Michael has accomplished in his lifetime. This is the first time I have seen any part of a concert at Glastonbury (even with its long time reputation). I am so glad this was shown, thank you.

My dad and my mom died within 5 months apart in 2023. Was a horrible year. This song has provided some comfort. The tears never seem to end.

@@conorsmith8551 It's a great song especially later on when it builds to the climax with Will, Chris and Johnny all singing, joyful.

Coldplay never disappoints me. The obvious love they have for their audiences, for people everywhere, sometimes brings me to tears. Because in this world we need more people like Coldplay. They show us love. And this world needs more of that.

I’m not a fan of Coldplay, but after watching this performance I was moved to tears. Everyone in the audience sang the same song at the same place, without taking pictures with their phones. This is the power of music. And the performance of Michael J Fox was so amazing and powerful.

I saw Coldplay live with my wife in Singapore earlier this year and it was one of the greatest nights we ever had.
I lost her in April and seeing this pop up on my UA-cam home screen makes me feel like she is watching out for me.
    Thank you.
