He's never been a vocal acrobat, and doesn't sing in a high register. Easier on the vocal chords over the years. A lot of the voices of hard rock/metal singers from the same era are roached now.
The Cure is more than one of my favorite bands. The Cure is my adolescence. When I was awkward and felt totally alone in my weirdness, their music was my anchor. Robert Smith's voice is unique , he has a good soul and is a very nice person too! And a Great and Epic Artist ! 🤘🎸🎹

Brilliant! Sounds as amazing, fresh and unique as it did the first time I heard it. What The genius of The Cure to me is any of their songs can be alternative, rock, ballad, pop, dark, goth, synth, dance, odd, relatable, complicated, simple, however all of them are actually beautifully constructed expressions of surprisingly universal appeal. That is remarkable and dare I say “Beatlesque”. The Cure are timeless! ❤️

How fantastically talented is this young man? I can’t play guitar but have listened and watched many many guitarist’s over the years. To play that song and get it top notch is amazing. Seen him do “comfortably numb” as well. He’s brilliant. Can’t take my eyes off of the strumming hand.
Robert Smith is amongst those singers that learn to adapt their voice so 30+ years down the road they can still perform well. For example, I think Eddie Vedder's voice now might be better than back in 1991.
Ehm... no, Eddie Vedder's voice is nowhere near what was like in the early 90's. He was a beast, his energy was off the charts and it transpired though his voice.
