Imagine being an artist and performing at a concert like this, and you’re on stage looking out into the crowd at 3:40. What a crazy feeling that’d be to experience
It’s the kind of show that most musicians dream of. So much easier to be up there when the crowd is vibing like that. Doesn’t hurt that the riff is absolutely iconic either.

Detlef Davis Yeah. But most of the bands at festivals are middle aged now. Including Franz Ferdinand. It’s who ‘middle aged people’ rocked out to. And us ‘middle aged people’ don’t need drugs to keep us going 😎

Haha. The crowds in the UK, South America, & Asia are a bit different. It's a bit of a shame that here in the U.S., there are times, crowds are half asleep. LOL. I go to shows to move a little, not go to a picnic. 😅
Truthfully this song is an anthem and it gives you a clear and sincere hint of what their music conveys. To be fair this song gets stuck into your mind because it mashes up several genres, I spot the rave influence in this work, that eager spark this band came out with and allegedly the new rave addiction makes every album sound good and workmanlike. You always notice this influence, if you poke around you'll figure out Franz Ferdinand have been an important step and pattern for most bands coming from the alternative scene. I think Muse also introduced some fragments of their approach on their own songs.
