I had this happen on my 2004 Pilot and replacing this solenoid fortunately cured the CEL. I was concerned it would be something much worse with the transmission after hearing horror stories. So far so good!
@@Davethemechanic305 I have that same issue on my 2006 front wheel drive Pilot. There's something I wanted to run by you. You're first generation Pilot and my second generation Pilot's transmission design is different. Your TCC solenoid is on the external top side of the transmission and my year does not. So how does this apply? So do you know where my TCC solenoid is located? Thanks
@@lucioalonso4547 it should still be on top Of the transmission. The main difference should be the clearance that you have to reach them. Yours may be hiding directly underneath the thermostat housing with no clearance so you might have to take the housing off if you can locate the sensor underneath it
Hey thanks for this video. I have a 2006 honda pilot and I recently had the torque converter replaced. At the shop they told me that the solenoids were fine but now the D light on the shifter is blinking and I feel like my car shifts a little hard on third gear. I was wondering if maybe a bad solenoid can be causing this?
@@oniretijoshua4267 p0741. Sometimes you'll have issues getting the vehicle moving once the fluid warms up. Sometimes the light comes on first before you have any issues

@@Mrfrags4117 great. Glad you're having lunch so far
Thank you for the step-by-step instructions. I was wondering if you recall the code which prompted you to determine the TCC was the issue?

Process the same for ridgeline, and do you have the part number so I can order it.
@@jukenz5417 sorry no part number. Your local auto store should be about to pull up a part # once you give them you vehicle info and engine size
