I bet this stuff is a godsend for people who are trying to offload their junk for a better price
@@reallyhappenings5597no he made a comment about it so there is no way he could POSSIBLY be guilty of it 🤔
🤣
I had problems with my transmission, and I put a half a court in and it did wonders for my transmission still driving on it almost 100k later
This stuff for sure and little saw dust and stabilizer in the oil ,egg and cracked pepper in the radiator, different air pressure in front tires to correct the steering from pulling one way……on and on
Had a friend whos transmission started slipping at 70k miles. A bottle of this fixed the slip and a week later he had it sold
That stuff is a miracle in a bottle. Bad part is you never know how much you're gonna need. Buddy's truck took 6 bottles to start moving😂
Yup, Work van trans went all N on me coming home from work one day, like 4-5 bottles of this and Trans fluid to top it off. Never had a problem again. No matter how big the load. Van wouldn’t fuckin die lmao
That’s impressive 😂
@@evole3820maybe your problem was that your transmission fluid was 6+ quarts low. No transmission is going to work well when it's low.
@@davidwelker102 if people only had brains
Yea most transmissions dont with when they dont have tranny fluid in them haha@evole3820
Works by thickening the fluid to help clutch plates grab. It works for while but not permanent
💯
Yea unfortunately you’ll eventually have to replace the transmission itself.. A lot easier said that done, considering the mechanic or dealership cost
my 4l60e is probably at 100% lucas oil stabilizer for the past 5 years, it’s permanent for me until it doesn’t move
@@FedkaSlovanichIm gonna do the same. S10
Nothing is permanent in a transmission
Lucas stop slip is literally a godsend. It will quieten down whiny manual transmissions as well as fix any slippage in an auto, just make sure you use enough of it
You’re absolutely correct!
I do a mix of half transmission fluid and Lucas transmission fix and it’s works great in my truck
I will try that if I have any future issues.
Will it fix the whining when I first start my car up? Because I was thinking it was actually a belt in which case it wouldn’t help
I love a whiney manual tho sounds like a racecar
Something to consider as well: these early V6 cars shift ok once the transmission is warmed up, so let the car cool down and try again before you come to a conclusion.
True I hear people say Not on Japanese cars
That's how every conventional automatic transmission works, but yes, exactly. His conclusion is premature. Show us how it shifts at 6am the next morning.
Yeah these 5AT transmissions were very rough, especially in and out of 2nd
@@zaydabbas1609 4AT 😉
he not driving it cold tho it’s a cheap temporary fix
I used this with no trans fluid on a car that couldn’t start because no gear would grab. After 10 minutes, the car lasted 6 months shifthing like nothing happened. But out of nowhere in the highway the transmission just let go and I had to push the car from the fast lane to the shoulder. Scary shit 😂😂😂😂
Nice lol
_The calm before the storm_
This stuff is the real deal. If your transmission is slipping, its going to die eventually anyways. Why not try to get a few more miles out of it before its time. I used some of this stuff on a 1999 Acura CL with around 150k miles on the original transmission, it was slipping heavily. I had the same results, the car ended up driving almost 100k more on the transmission. There is NO WAY ON EARTH it would have made it that far without the Lucas. It was hanging on by a thread.
Once I put the Lucas in the first time, I changed it one more time with the same mixture (honda ATF and Lucas).
my aunts 09 accord has 196k on it and still drives like new! and no it dont burn oil like the 08-12 honda accords are known for and no the trans is fine! bought in 2019 with 160k now got almost 200k 5 years later and still going strong!
Can I use it on a 2012 bmw piece of shit but it has a good tranny

Yep. Pretty much all Lucas products work well. Seafoam too.
Absolutely. I run a small trucking business. I can’t even put words together to explain how amazing lucas products are. And seafoam. Pretty much just use the 2. Lucas oil stabilizer is the best stuff to keep engines alive. Seriously. All our diesel engines went over 5-600,000 miles. Some are still going after we sold them. Same engines and transmissions.
I agree
Diesel engines should be hitting a million plus on big blocks always.@@simplysimple7628
@@simplysimple7628I’ve always substituted a quart of oil for the Lucas heavy duty oil stabilizer every oil change. Later on when the oil is almost due for a change I always try to put a little sea foam in the oil and the rest in the tank. It definitely keeps my crown Vic running great
HAHA I tried this shit on the same exact transmission. Same exact car! Man that shit ain’t do nothing but help the trans blow up faster 😂😂
Exactly my transmission mechanic said it works by just building more pressure in the transmission so it doesn’t slip and then causes the seals to blow out sooner.
It doesn't actually make it blow up faster, what's happening is that you're already having issues that's going to make it blow up soon and you pour it in hoping to save it but then it blows up and now you think that it caused it when in reality it was about to blow up anyway
Honda's use a special transmission fluid made by Honda. Any other transmission fluid will ruin your transmission.

I have used that stuff for years and cant say anything bad . Its been a miracle elixir
This stuff is what scammers dream of. Smh you know there’s a bunch of guys out there flipping junk cars with this stuff in the trans to get it down the road and sold screwing over the next guy.
Works in my 01 wj 4.0 L Jeep . 170 k
I flushed and changed transmission filter
3 years ago.
Then about 5 months started kicking and slipping gears .
I flushed the transmission fluid put new fluid.
1 month ago started slipping gears .
I added 1 bottle of Lucas and magic 🪄,
Runs like a champion, very very smooth.
Good old mechanic in a can. I had a whole gallon of this stuff in the transmission in my 05 Impala. Never left me stranded
💯💯
That’s stuff really does work. 2013 ford flex. Last summer transmission started acting up. Changed the fluid. Didn’t make a difference. The next day I changed the fluid again and added the Lucas stop slip additive. After that shifts smooth as butter! But keep in mind. It doesn’t mean it’ll permanently fix the problem. However the transmission is still going today. Little hard shift going into 3rd gear but other than that it’s still doing the job
Had a lincoln with the same trans. Fresh mercon v fluid with lubeguard fixed the hard shifts and it was smooth for many many miles after that till I sold it. Next owner is still driving it years later. Saw it not too long ago. Key is the lubeguard
I stand by Lucas oil and their product. Keeps my old rig running like new
Lucas stop slip is amazing stuff.
That was always used in the military when I was in the Marine corps Lucas they used it a lot in all the all the engines and anything that had a mortar or any change anything like that they always use Lucas
I agree this product is good, but it’s like putting a bandaid on a broken toe. It won’t last.
Guy I worked with smoked his Oldsmobile transmission. Wouldn’t move. Drained fluid, added 2 qts Lucas and then filled with trans fluid. It lasted 3 weeks while he saved the money for a used transmission
Had a steering gear box pissing power steering fluid , tried Lucas power steering stop leak , ran that same gear box for another 2 years before I absolutely had to replace. Amazing products.
i used this too years ago on the sane v6 accord lol worked bout a month
I used it with Japanese certified Castrol transmax for imports it’s designed especially for Honda ,Nissan and Toyota ,Hyundai
Best option is changing it using oem Honda fluid first
You say that, but the old fluid will have clutch material suspended in it, which you would be taking away with a flush. Usually transmissions will slip even worse afterwards. Unless you've owned it since new and done flushes every 50k since new, leave it be.
@@losi8ightyew I agree but Honda transmissions are different, I worked at transmission shop and a lot of time dirty fluid causes these transmissions to act up. There’s been a lot of cases where people with Hondas have changed the fluid about 3 times and ended up with better shifting. I think it’s a safer bet than adding Lucas. Than again automatic transmissions are witchcraft so who knows what’s really good for them.
@@shanedottiehow are Honda automatics “different?” They use the same principles and basic mechanics as any other automatic transmission, there’s nothing special about them that would make them more or less likely to function better with a flush and refill with OEM transmission fluid than any other brand of automatic transmission.
@@phantom0456 I’m just going off the word of the transmission shop I worked at and many online forums. Almost all people that specialize in Hondas agree that oem fluid is necessary. And a drain and refill is the best option with these because it’s so easy.
When using Lucas oil, set it on the engine if it's hot, itll help to have it warmed up by the engine before you pump because that stuff is THICK
Get a bucket and boil water and warm it up.. or microwave it. Lol I’ve done that here in Canada in the winter..as the shop was never all that warm ..with open the big garage door a lot
I really only needed about 8 oz of that stuff as a preventative measure and 8 more of the old fluid when I serviced the transmission in my car. The remaining capacity was filled with fresh fluid. Worked wonders. I would recommend it as well.
Yeaaa that’s a lot of slippage!
You thought about flex seal yet?
😂
@TireSlayer55😅
I have used Lucas transmission fix in a Chrysler Sebring once, it did a great job! been thinking about adding it to my 92 accord.
This one is a 1999 and it did great.
I bought that chrysler and fixed your fuck up
@@theone368your fuck up was buying a chrysler....
I’ve used the synthetic motor oil stuff in my Toyota’s power steering when it got all whiny 😂😂😂😂 worked like a charm. Sucked out whatever was in the reservoir, filled the entire reservoir with Lucas, cycle, top with trans, good to go!!! Now I wonder if I drain old burnt trans fluid from my 4l60 and fill with Lucas if it’ll help the 3 and 4th come back, sure would love to have 20 mpgs from the 13, been riding in 2nd gear for a bit now.
I had an 02 accord sedan v6, had to get the transmission rebuilt twice. Thankfully the second time was under the shops warranty.
It's really the last ditch when you KNOW it's going out
And mine started going out last week and it didn't work 😭
As soon as you feel any slippage change the fluid and add a quart of Lucas. 90% of the time its just from fluid getting old and clogging filters. Transmission need hydraulic pressure so worn fluid and clogged filters don't help.
Best advice there is to transmissions 👏🏾
Sometimes the grimy old fluid is the only thing holding the transmission together though
Hey Bud, how do you mess up a Honda transmission??? I'm genuinely curious 😅
It's best to use before you need it... !!!
And baby it for 500 MI. You may as well use the marvel mystery oil in the engine and then do your oil change...
Love the 3.0 v6 in mine. They are easy to maintain.
They are amazing engines. I’m glad the transmission lasted 250k miles
What 3.0 v6 is it the Vulcan? I have one in my Ranger. I think I'm going to use it
@@CarOpsthat's comforting since my TL has only 171,000 on it. I just did the timing belt, w/p, pulley's and hydraulic tensioner. Originally I had to go in there anyways to replace the crank position sensor. Now the only intermittent problem I have is a rich condition bank two (PO175).
@@ProvenPyroyes the 3.0 ranger engine is called the Vulcan engine. Keep an eye on the temperature gauge since they're notorious for head gasket problems. Every Ford ranger I've had I beat the hell out of them. I'd buy another one in a heartbeat. The only one I'd avoid is the 4.0 SOHC. That engine is a timing chain nightmare. The pushrod 4 liter is much better. Less horsepower, but still around the same Ft-Lb of torque and will last past 300,000 miles if you keep up on the oil change's.
Just did a rebuild on my transmission for my v6 accord and it slips like his still so idk
This stuff works. My transmission is a whole lot better after using this product also would 10/10 recommend
This car will be on the market soon. Advertised as runs and drives no problems

Bought a 99 Explorer very clean very cheap because it was skipping from 1st to 3rd.. I changed filter and about five quarts of of transmission fluid. Warmed up Explorer and slowly added the Lucas to top it off. It took almost two weeks but eventually it started working normal.
X ploders are known for junk trans, they will just go out 😮not like others where it's a slow death😂😂😂
The question is how is it shifting after letting it rest for about 24hrs? Warming up the engine and transmission usually fixes the rough shifting. But once it’s cold again, you get the rough shift again.
Another test is, after 24hrs, start the engine. Let it idle for 30secs to let the oil run thru the engine. Then rev it quickly to around 3-3.5k rpm. Then shift it to reverse or drive. If it does not do shift shock, yeah lucas has fixed it but only temporarily.
Going from 0 to 3-3.5k RPM seems like a bit much for a transmission that's already having issues. Are you trying to test it, or break the damn thing?
@@CGoody564Lol basically neutral dropping it just at a slightly lower RPM
After watching project farm i would defiantly use this on a pinch if i had too and i recommend to friends in a pinch
Seafoam good stuff too . Has saved me a bunch of cash. False diagnosis is way too common.
My manual trans in my truck locked up I poured a quart of that magical stuff in there and it still does good and this was nearly two years ago
Sir your rebuilt transmission Bill is
$4,328.00 😂💀
And now sell it and be sure to warm it up before the buyer comes by
It really is great, it does wonders even for small leaks. Everytime i put it in tho, i waited at least 5 mins for the fluids to mix well, before driving. It just made it feel a lot smoother from the start
Do you mean you crank the car then , leave it On for 5 minutes then drive it ?
2000 cavalier slipping trans. Added a bottle of Lucas and within 5 miles I lost 3rd and 4th gear. As i pulled in the driveway I lost all gears. It depends on the application tbh
Now the real question is will this keep me from having to replace my Grand Prix GXP transmission after the 3rd time
Yeah that look is really works I put some in my truck in my transmission on my Toyota and the thing works good now😊
Saw dust does the same thing for 30 minutes. Just enough for that perfect 5 minute test drive before selling it.
No it doesn't 😂 you must be a cartoon character.
Lucas oil is great for lubricant and saw dust is bad for lubricant.
I see you are experienced with the pump action 😂
Let’s not talk about that 😂😂
This stuff works, my friend bought a Chevy Impala from the dealership at a discounted price because it was the display model that was used for test drives a lot after a year of driving it the transmission had problems he went to every place he could including the same dealer and other shops that specialize in transmissions everybody was quoting him atound the price of $3500 he tried what his brother told him to do and added Lucas oil and it fixed the transmission he never replaced it and it was fine after that.
What year Impala??
Also another thing that’s unrelated if you need to start a fire really fast it’ll work really good even in wet conditions
Clean your shift solenoids and the sceens for em, after doing that in friends 2000 model it was like a new car
I've had similar problems with the same drivetrain more than likely it will do the same thing the next day when it is cool
Thank you so much for making this video. I have an '06 Acura TL with the BDGA transmission. It's not as bad as what yours was doing. The 2nd- 3rd pressure switches go out on those, but easy to change. Also there is a serviceable transmission cooler return line filter that can be replaced. Some inside with a plate held on by 3 bolt's. Others use a metal thread on one end- hose barb on the other (the easier one to change). I wish Honda made better transmissions. Their engine's are good (excluding earth dreams engine's).
Gotta change the internal transmission filter behind the driverside front wheel, they fall apart and restrict flow causing slippage, replace will do wonders, save your transmission!
@@doncnunez6231 good to know. I don't know when the last time mine was changed. I bought the car used so I know it will need some things.

Or... We're low on fluid to begin with and this helped. Mechanic here, and even a little low on fluid can cause a rough shift.
I own that exact make and model with the v6 and the 4speed, I noticed it was still holding revs way past when it was supposed to shift, be careful, you might wanna try a shift solenoid but idk
This stuff works so good. I used the one that goes in your oil and it worked
On todays list of non permanent fixes
It worked 🤷♂️
@@CarOps for now 😭
It's an old ass car. Not worth spending thousands fixing or swapping out. This is the perfect option
In some cases it makes it last quite awhile. In other cases you got a bandaid on a bullet hole 😂
I CANNOT understand how little bottles of transmission fix can possibly work... yet I have actually SEEN them work. Its incredible.
It’s called chemistry
My honda had a similar issue because the fulid was changed. Went to a junkyard and got some old fluid to put back in to see if it worked. Got an extra 30k miles on that transmission!!
No, it wasnt just because the tranny fluid was changed....it was because it was neglected and changed WAY later than it should have been......thats what happens when you neglect your car or truck....
The 4L60 in my 05 Trailblazer used to do hard shifts and shutter in 4th while trying to go up a hill, and that was when it didn't want to go into 3rd. I'd have to manually shift into 3rd just for it to go up hill without much problem. But then putting it back in D just hard shifts it into 4th. But recently it's been acting very normal on the shifts and doesn't shutter anymore. Of course I still have the downshifting problem when going up a hill but it doesn't hard shift anymore. Mind you I haven't done anything to it and it's the original 186k mile transmission that came in it from the factory.
Man I got an 02 trailblazer as a beater car 138k original transmission
Those 4L60 are either golden or have issues from the start 🤣
These trucks won’t die
There's probably enough worn off clutch material suspended in the fluid now to help it shift better.
My 05 silverado 4l60 just went out last month. Buying a new one in a couple weeks. 180k miles. Just changed rear diff from 342 gears to 373 gears. Put a 1000 miles on than transmission went out. Limp mode can only do 25 mph. 😢
My suburban just lost its 4L60E after 190K. Loud bang while backing up and now I don’t have reverse or 2nd 🙃
Transmissions tend to shift better when they're warmer. I have my doubts about it fixing anything 🤔
A lot of people have luck with this stuff but of course it depends how badly worn the transmission is
Good stuff, used it more than once.
That Honda transmission in early 2000.s were very problematic it needs a rebuild with an external cooler.
My dad has a 2002 Chevy Suburban and it was having some rough shifts here and there but nothing too badly concerning where it needed a rebuild. So we threw the stuff in and it works amazingly well
Love how that stuff is so goos, it actived your wipers for a few drops of rain.
It helped in my situation.
Two bottles in a 4L60e.
Three might have been better.
Lasted until I found a replacement vehicle (that also has same model trans).
I made sure its transmission was serviced
what pump were you using . just curious ?
oh hell yes it works... it made my accord which had issue, leaving second gear, and made it smoothe as butter. however never use it in a transmission that has no major issues and or is not significantly worn because its so viscous it can push seals and orings out of place or even force gears to move off of their shafts...
This is is an additive to the current ATF and it’s meant to thinken up the viscosity, definitely works and will give you time to save till a trans rebuild!!
What's crazy is I took a picture today of a Lucas product at a Walmart after hearing a few rave reviews about it and it shows up in my feed. Looks impressive though.
We sell the lube guard shudder stop in our transmission parts store. Everyone loves it we have several different ones made specifically for certain cars. Everyone always comes back talking about how good it works
It got my 98 Ford escort going again back in the day 🤣
Do you guys drain some transmission fluid out or do you just add it to the existing transmission fluid?
I believe I have used every Lucas product including the gun oil. They ALL have worked great for me.
Wow!
Use this in all my cars with rough shifting it is a lifesaver. Only didn’t work once on my ford escape 2013 but might try more bottles idk
Lucas products are great
Do you have to remove some of the oil so it doesn’t get over filled first?
As a mechanic it's just a temp fix you will still have to repair or replace the transmission later on
I just put some in my 2020 f150. Had a vibration and hard shifts. I used half a bottle because the pump i usee was having a hard time pumping the thick oil. But it fixed the vibration and shifts better. Will probably put the other half in later when i find a better pump
There are some sensors that are called solenoids sensors that go bad and.need to be replaced...the purpose of those sensors is to send signal to change gear...also change the transmission oil filter..👍
solenoids aren't sensors, solenoids are solenoids, they divert fluid flow inside the trans to make it shift etc
Thanks much appreciate
Have tried you changing the fluid and factory reset the Throttle/ trans ECU?
Lucas saved me on many occasions.
💯💯
I used it on a van i had and it worked for over a year.
Ot helped a lot a co worker that had a slip on his 99 ford widstar.
It definitely works
I love Lucas oil products, I use there additives in almost every vehicle around the property, they definitely know what the fuck it up when it comes to chemical and additive science, there upper cylinder lubricant and injector cleaner in a bottle kicks ass!
Are you supposed to remove some of the existing fluid to not overfill the trans or do you just add it on top of the existing fluid
Good fix right before selling it.
In the early 90s my girlfriends toyota was slipping real bad. I put 1 qt 30w engine oil in it. And almoat immediatly it worked perfect, she immediatly traded it in.
My buddy toasted his rangers transmission during a burnout. It was driving really bad, even after we changed the fluid. Threw a bottle of Lucas in and ever time he drove it, the problems got better and better now it drives minty.
I have a 06 saturn vue with the honda engine. And mine shifted rough. I changed the trans fluid every 2 weeks for 2 months and that fixed it. But i bought it used with 150k and now it has 250k and is still doing good.
Looks legit . I just got some today. Transmission started slipping like 3 weeks ago and my car has been just parked getting burnt by the sun. Hopefully this helps
