    my 2014 jeep patriot sport starting decrease its speed from 70 to 40 and then shut off on me twice....after that it's been parked with an engine light on and a code of P0741 ... Not exactly sure if it's the solenoid or the actual Torque Converter clutch ( the big round Donut) 😢 Your advice would so very helpful

    I am so grateful for this wonderful video. There are the symptoms you mentioned, when my warning light comes on, there are harsh gear shifts and complex contractions, but when the fault goes out, everything is fine. I used it like this a few times and now I was stuck on a hill, it didn't want to enter, I smelled the brake pads, I pulled into the parking lot without pushing any further. Now the fault comes on at the first start and the car is having a hard time driving. Do you think I have caused bigger problems? Could my luck up solenoid be damaged because I added 500ml too much to the transmission oil? My volvo 850 is Aısin aw50-42

      Sorry for the English translation. In summary, I think my TCS solenoid is broken and I used it like this for a while, but now the fault is constantly on and my vehicle does not want to move. I'm worried that I've caused a larger mechanical failure.

    Good video, friend, a question...My Dodge Journey does not have codes, I put it in gear and it does not move forward or backward if I mark the changes on the dashboard, what could it be?

    I have outlander 2011 CVT and have code P0740 Lock up solenoid circuit
    Is it just the solenoid or the torque converter?But I don’t have any issues for idling,Limp,or any.Just doesn’t change the shift and it’s always stuck in the 1st gear either i use the manual shift still doesn’t shift but in the dashboard it is changing the number of shifting 1-5 but running in the 1st gear?Any experience kind of this problem same as mine?

    My 2000 Ford Ranger 3.0L will shift into Reverse and Neutral fine but it will die immediately when put in any forward gear. Will drive in Reverse as well. Could the Converter or the TCC solenoid be the possible issue. Truck was a gift and we found that no transmission filter was in it. We replaced the filter kit.

    My car can shift into drive reverse and all with ease but the car doesnt move. The car after sitting for a while had a chattering noise that WAS the torque converter. I replaced the transmission fluid with cvt transmission fluid (2010 nissan altima 3.5 sr v6 cvt) and the chattering is gone but the car still doesnt move. And it feels like the car is in neutral or park at any time. The rpm when the car is in gear on idle does go down but i dont feel the “hook up” thats what i refer as the slight jolt forward the car had when i use to put it in gear at a stop light from neutral into drive.

    My 2015 Nissan rogue is showing p0744. Have had a few seemingly unrelated issues like a beat up flex plate and the shifting cable came completely free from mount due to stripped bolts, but other symptoms are mild so far. Could i replace the solenoid in it, even though it’s a CVT?

    • @brometheusthefirstbro4302
      @brometheusthefirstbro4302 2 місяці тому +1

      Yes nissan’s like your and mine (nissan altima 3.5L sr V6 cvt) have multiple solenoids one that is a torque converter lock up clutch solenoid and multiple others that are for shifting the car into “gears” that use hydraulic pressure with transmission fluid to “shift” my car doesnt move at all but it did have the same code yours has. P0744 and a few others more likely relating to battery voltage issue or wiring issue.

      I hope your cvt valve body is easy to reach like mine. Also make sure to get 6 to 7 quarts of nissan brand or valvoline cvt transmission fluid at the ready if u do replace it because its better to replace it now sense ur gonna have to drain it anyway

    Hmmm so how do you know if its the t- converter or the solenoid? No slipping no limp mode but vibration ( strong) at specifically 40 to 55 m.p.h . And an underlying rumble at low speed low with low acceleration which vanishes when accelerate .
