Really hate that model was overshadowed by M5’s and E63’s because it definitely is a bargain with solid quality behind it ... I moved from Lexus to Infiniti years ago but since Infiniti is behind the curve now, I’m considering moving back to Lexus because I love how they’ve “risen from the ashes.” It would have to be CPO because I’ve said since the GSf’s inception years ago that 467hp for $90k wasn’t reasonable when the Hellcat models came out with 707 for +/-$70k around the same time. Great review as always!
I love the GSF but for that much might as well spring for the V8 LC500 they are more rare and also a coupe. Also there interior has been vastly updated
Jappy Time i doubt it, Toyota and Lexus have a really good track record for auto trans, rarely ever see them go out on them. And the 5.0 v8 in it is basically the same engine as the ISF and I’ve seen those with over 250k
@Dora Is Stupid ISF kind one. Hope your day gets better. I was referring to the powertrain and obviously should have been more specific to make sure not to infuriate people like yourself. I greatly apologize.
“You won’t believe what color this car is” Me: what?? You showed it in the thumbnail 😆 Also: they probably chose carbon fiber so they could markup the price more than brushed aluminum. You have to remember with a lot of cosmetic changes they charge more. For example, non matching black mirror covers and a spoiler cost exactly the same to make. Literally just a part swap that doesn’t cost anything but they will charge $500 for that because it makes it look more “aggressive”.
Necrotic Reaper that’s why I stated in my post they added carbon fiber to mark up the price more than it needed. They can make more profit off carbon fiber than brushed aluminum.
The year is 1989, and the vintage Cadillacs and Lincoln’s are slow, sluggish, and WAY UNDERPOWERED! Mercedes and BMW are way overpriced. And then a beam of light from the east appears on the horizon. The glorious Lexus LS 400! 30 years later the light is even brighter and Toyota keeps throwing gasoline and coal on the fire!!
These used are very desirable property. I have owned AMG Mercedes and the Lexus quality and reliability are very important to consider on this car. There is nothing worse to have oil leak on a 100 k German car. Lexus don’t break and they don’t leak oil.
I'm a proud and very happy owner of the GS350 F-Sport variant of this same car and if rumors are true Lexus is killing the GS line altogether then the GS-F is my next natural upgrade. Lots of folks really under estimate the fit and finish, handling, overall driving experience and fun. These cars are what old school BMW used to be like. Think e39, e30, e46 chassis with same driving dynamics, handling, real steering feel, road presence and overall driving experience is amazing on these cars. Folks looking for not only a luxury sports sedan but one that won't break down, I'd highly recommend to look for these used. Sure they don't have the latest and greatest bells and whistles like the German counterparts but you won't miss them and won't become an endless money pit.

my 2001 automatic IS300 lets me rev to redline.. I think I overdid it one time tho, and my check engine light came on. When I checked it out only the valve cover gasket needed replacing but the transmission was damaged a bit. However that could also be due to taking a U turn over an island that I didn't see.
There's a limiter close to redline. How do you know your transmission is damaged? Is it excessively slipping? Won't immediately go into gear? Unless you cracked your transmission going over an island (highly unlikely) it's fine. Excessive engine revving doesn't hurt the transmission if it's in neutral or park.

Really hate that model was overshadowed by M5’s and E63’s because it definitely is a bargain with solid quality behind it ... I moved from Lexus to Infiniti years ago but since Infiniti is behind the curve now, I’m considering moving back to Lexus because I love how they’ve “risen from the ashes.”
It would have to be CPO because I’ve said since the GSf’s inception years ago that 467hp for $90k wasn’t reasonable when the Hellcat models came out with 707 for +/-$70k around the same time.
Great review as always!
Are you comparing the reliability, resale & quality/craftsmanship of a Lexus to a Dodge? You realize adults care about more things besides HP, right?
What a car. Just amazing.
thanks for a morning video before work
I love the GSF but for that much might as well spring for the V8 LC500 they are more rare and also a coupe. Also there interior has been vastly updated
Yes but you can't get an active TVD in the LC500 that's what GSF is all about.
Jappy Time i doubt it, Toyota and Lexus have a really good track record for auto trans, rarely ever see them go out on them. And the 5.0 v8 in it is basically the same engine as the ISF and I’ve seen those with over 250k
Do it!! Buy one! I would go get one tomorrow if I had $90,000 to spare. A Mustang GT and a Lexus GS F = the perfect garage.
Have a friend that bought an ISF new in 2008 and he has over 300k miles on it and the only problem he has had is with the moving headlights.
Dora is stupid you right
isf?
@Dora Is Stupid ISF kind one. Hope your day gets better. I was referring to the powertrain and obviously should have been more specific to make sure not to infuriate people like yourself. I greatly apologize.
Love this car!!! You can pick us a used CPO for mid 40's. the way to go!
Not anymore unfortunately 😞
Lexus Rules Toyota, and the rest of the world i'm going by track record!!!!!!!!! T O Y O T A
Rules as in reliability but not in innovation or performance. Sorry. 😅
You’re joking, right? 🤣
I just put a new Ohlins suspension in my used and cheap 2017 GSF. I think I will love it FOREVER!!!
“You won’t believe what color this car is”
Me: what?? You showed it in the thumbnail 😆
Also: they probably chose carbon fiber so they could markup the price more than brushed aluminum. You have to remember with a lot of cosmetic changes they charge more. For example, non matching black mirror covers and a spoiler cost exactly the same to make. Literally just a part swap that doesn’t cost anything but they will charge $500 for that because it makes it look more “aggressive”.
lamo !!!!!!
Pretty sure Carbon fiber cost more than plastic.
Necrotic Reaper that’s why I stated in my post they added carbon fiber to mark up the price more than it needed. They can make more profit off carbon fiber than brushed aluminum.
I don't like staring at the side of his face. Can you show the car and have him talk in the background?
Love the show otherwise
His double chin is hurting my eyes
Troll level: 3/5
Oil leak isn’t big deal on German cars, most diy can fix it cheap.
Very nice video bro, I like very much your presentation thanks.
GIVE THE MAN A RAISE !!!!!!
I am from former Yugoslavia and I love the shirt.
I live the LEXUS GS models.
It's an old girl, but it's gold...quite literally lol
my favorite rims too
I so love that GS F, and I've been wanting one forever now!! I guess I keep driving my true and trusty Avalon until I hit the lottery!!
Good thing you want it, it’s amazing to own and drive. Just keep waiting you’ll get it eventually.
You can buy a Charger Scatpack it’s more affordable than this. Coming from an IS F owner lol.
@@Anthony-dk7de But its a Dodge. It's not going to be luxurious.
$90k? Yep - this fine piece of engineering is going to drive out into the sunset of its lifecycle
you drive a Ford lol
Colorado Representer! Repping the 303 baby! Mile high city! Love the vids
Purchased a brand new M5 last month. Would've gone with Lexus if they had anything with real power available.
yeah its a smart purchase
M5 will die before 100k lol
Great cars don’t get old.
TFLnow, The 2020 Lexus GS looks very nice however I'm NOT too crazy about that Bumblebee color I'm more into the Dark Red Metallic or a Highland Green but Thank You for posting.
GS F is a beast highly reliable.
I own a 2017 GSF and it' such a great underrated car. Great on the race tracks and you feel like and godzilla on it.
Have you encountered a Dodger 392. I'm sure the Lexus will be a winner
@@jjbhwajabuseva1909 my buddy actually owns a 392 and I smoked his car the track. The straight are the same, but on turns not so much.
@@thelawfamilyproduction329 Was it a stand still stop? I saw on Instagram that a 392 lauching on a Lexus and the 392 was the winner. I'm seriously interested in get a GSF but that video kinda have me reconsidering.......any advice
@@jjbhwajabuseva1909 Hmm the 392 might be slightly faster, but it really depends on how you launch the GSF.
The GSF is a very good all-round car and very good handling for the size.
When you go on the track the 392 is fast on the straight, but on turns it is so slow that even a BRZ will pass over the car.
It just depends on what you prefer. The 392 with louder sound and awesome straight lines. Or the GSF with more redefined and better all-rounder.
@@thelawfamilyproduction329 Thank you for the positive information. The Lexus GFS I'm considering purchasing is a 2016 one owner.....19,xxx miles. Older couple have it ..... maybe it doesn't have a lauch control but it is beauty .... Caviar is the color
No thank you, I’d rather pay $30k more and get to know my local mechanic at a deep personal level and fund their kids private school tuition.
It also won’t give you the luxury experience of being stranded.
For those reasons, it’s Germans only for me.
Pretty awesome car inside and out, but I’m still a firm believer in Lexus vehicles being luxurious because that is something they already do so well!!!
I have one and it’s amazing. It’s better than my e60 m5. They do depreciate pretty hard from new, but take a look at is-f’s and you’ll see how they kind of plateau. Makes sense, because the market knows these are reliable cars. Not so much the Germans, and their long term pricing reflects that. To me, this is a no compromise car, unless you care what other German fanboys thing.
$90K ?!?!?!?! You can get a raptor and a 5.0 Mustang for 90 grand. Omg. That is CRAZY. Wait 4-5 years and 40k miles and get it for $30k
Great car that GSF, puts my Lexus to shame haha
Love that yellow on the LC!
I am from former Yugoslavia and I freaking love the shirt.
Car is awesome too 👍
Love the color along with all else about the car.
Idk, I test drove a 2017 RCF, and it was cool but idk if it was worth the money. The V8 sounds good, but the rest is lacking.
Did you have it in sport + mode with stability control off? What was it lacking ?
@@davidwade7681 if felt like it was missing a gear. 1st gear felt way to long, it was a couple of weeks ago, obviously used RCF, but if memory serves me right it went to almost 40mph which is insanely high. Quality was good but felt more like for my grandfather.
@@NismoSupra sounds like you didnt have it in the right mode unfortunately...maybe somthn was wrong with that 1 i know theyre Rev happy gotta make sure its in Sport or sport+ mode with stability control off...Expert mode basically..everything tightens up including the steering when youre in sport+ /expert mode take it on freeway as well the car pulls refined vehicle luxury/sport all in 1 package car has multiple personalities depending on the mode youre inn
@@davidwade7681 the Lexus Salesman showed me all the neat features. It is peppy car but wasn't worth what they were asking.
@@davidwade7681 also, I dont want to have to change the driving mode everyday to get more pep out of it.
Old is the New New
God bless Lexus for still making vehicles with Soul and Personality
Yep! It's a lot of money for "a car" but it's far better than the direct competition in this segment. Audi / BMW performance with Toyota / Lexus quality & reliability.
Not even close to the M550i or the M5 (which I just purchased) in performance.
@@entreptiles Hope you only leased it. Depreciation drops like a rock as outrageous maintenance will eventually drain you. Good luck with that investment...
@@barrydraper Depreciation only matter when you plan to sell or trade. Maintenance can't drain someone who will barely put more than 5k miles a year on it. Not to mention, I'm loaded. But most importantly, only an idiot would invest in an automobile. Thanks for your concern though buddy.
www.roadandtrack.com/car-culture/buying-maintenance/amp31116327/the-bmw-m5-might-be-more-reliable-than-you-think/
I love this car
This will be my next car.
Waiting for these to drop down on the used car market
Rhanier Santiago they never do
Nathan, your drooling is infectious. I want one. :-), but on the used market. I'm starting my search. ;-)
Sad that the Lexus GS is going I loved it my cousin has one its so comfortable and so sad to see it to:(
Great review again thank you!
They need to bring back the ISF. Lighter weight and give it the same updated 5.0 engine. Id rather buy a used ISF for around 20k instead of the overprices RCF.
My 04 Infiniti g35 coupe auto when i put it in manual allows me to hit red line without changing all the time
Still worth the money ha ha.
Never was
aws Dws if you buy them used is a better buy with the GS.
Loser
I love how there isn't some giant ugly tablet stapled above the climate controls like other cars.
New GS needs to be a sportback like gtr 4dr and 4 series grand coupe and all models AWD with the option to switch 2wd. All Turbos for. Flat plane crank v4 v6 and v8. Large digital dash boards. That is the winning formula for the next gen!
my 2001 automatic IS300 lets me rev to redline..
GS F Is a great car!
Hey Nathan, nice Ray Bans!
if you want it to slide around you gotta put it in track mode , then S+ mode, then turn off the traction control . You should hear it with an after market exhaust it’s nasty AF other than the price it’s awesome but used you can find a 2019 with low mikes for like $59 k fully loaded
Not worth 90,000 sorry. Give me a new Vette, Hellcat, or GT 500 for that price with money left over. That's why it isnt selling well bc there are cheaper options with more power.
Frederick Tabb
Totally different type of buyer, this competes with Merc, BMW, Audi.
It’s 90K because it’s an actual luxury car, competing with real luxury brands. Owning one is a blast and is worth all the money.
@@tvang2223 now that's a very good question 😂
