York County Barbell is Southern Maine & the Seacoast's premier weightlifting and strength & conditioning facility. Whether you are a youth, junior, senior or master weightlifter, with zero or a ton of weightlifting experience, we're here to get you to your next level.
Unlike other gyms where athletes receive disassociated coaching, little to no feedback, and poor programming, York County Barbell is the only gym in the area that provides the opportunity to enhance your technical understanding of the lifts, get stronger, and join a team that trains to compete. We have a long-term approach that develops well-rounded athletes, self-confidence, and mental strength that extends beyond the platform.
When you get started with us we don’t just throw you into group training and programming, our head coach is with you every step of your training. You will meet regularly with your coach to ensure your programming and development is on track with your goals while doing the majority of your training in a coached open gym environment. This means you get individualized coaching and programming without the price tag of personal training.
