- Don't make this mistake in Iceland - get beyond the Golden Circle and see what Iceland's remote and rugged southern coast has to offer. Join me and my friend Philippe as we embark on an epic road trip through Iceland's captivating landscapes, filled with cascading waterfalls, volcanic formations, and geothermal springs. With a hire car, you'll have the freedom to explore the enchanting beauty of the Golden Circle, where attractions like Dettifoss, Húsavík, and Lake Mývatn await. Dive into the ethereal world of the Westfjords, meander along the Snæfellsnes Peninsula, and witness the stunning beauty of Kirkjufell mountain.
I'm spending two days exploring Iceland with my friend Philippe. See where to go, what we did, and how to get around this amazing place. We visit the DC-3 Plane Wreck site, Seljalandsfoss waterfall, Skogar, get a cinnamon roll in Selfoss, see the Solheimajokull glacier and lots more.

LOL! I loved the intro. It made me laugh because I knew you were joking. What a wonderful trip!
Dude, Stef makes my day every flippin time he uploads a video! Love man
Thanks Lex, glad you enjoyed the video. Thanks for the support.
That is the definition of "Rugged". Spectacular is all I can say.
It’s an amazing part of the world, thanks for watching Steve.
Oh boy what a dream trip. Thanks for sharing the adventure Stef. You can visit al the tropical beaches in the world but a place like this, to me, feels more alive than anything. I love it.
excellent, and good sense of humour with the geyser jokes at the beginning.
That seems like a classic Aussie gag.
Like the sign on the fence at YITT... Mitta Mitta International Airport.
Love this! I'm going to Iceland in September and yet to do much planning... But this has got me very excited! Sadly I'll be flying over in row 30 of a 737 and not in the left seat of an SR22 though...
Quite a privileged way to see it I admit, but you'll have a brilliant time, it's such a fascinating country. Enjoy, and thanks for the support John.
Im planning a trip in september also.
Thanks for a great video. Keep up the great work.
The dad joke in the final captions.
Pure class!
I know my target audience well 😂 Thanks for watching GK.
@@stef747Some old geezer looking at a geyser?
Great video 👍
Love this... something a little different in Iceland.
I am 99% sure I saw you in the QF First Lounge a few weeks ago... you looked a little tired so did not want to bother you saying hi... but "Hi" anyways. Love your work here, and the Avgeek in me loves your main channel 🙂
Thanks AF, could have been me on my way over to Europe. Next time say hello, I always enjoy chatting with fellow aviators / travellers. Hope you had a great trip wherever you were off to.
Just love this video. Have not yet been but have to get here. So much to live here. Questions questions. Do you get a sim for your phone when you travel? Obviously Iceland expensive but more so now? Thanks Stef for fabulous viewing. X
Thanks Lisa, I got an eSim for my iPhone for Iceland through a company called Holafly (not an endorsement, but that's who I used).
Wow, loved this vlog!!!
Thanks astrolou, glad you enjoyed it.
I also want to go to iceland and see those natural wonders.. 😉🍻
Jokes aside, I have friends and a cousin that have visited Iceland and fell in love with the country. My cousin just finished a 3 week trip through Europe and stayed in Iceland for 5 days and was her last stop before returning home. I need to go to Iceland. Looks soooo freaking cool!
What month was this?
It's a C47 not a DC3 but still a great set of views of Iceland.
Aviation sightseeing in Iceland? That volcano that locked Europe in 2010: Eyjafjallajökull
I'm on the first 2 minutes of the video so don't mind me if you mention it later...
I won't disturb your viewing Andrés, enjoy the video, thanks for watching.
How were the vegan options?
Iceland is actually really easy for vegans. Lots of plant based options, dairy free milks are everywhere. Honestly found it not dissimilar to Australia.
