Have been 4 times. Twice this year with one of those going around the ring road in a camper van 🚐 It was the best holiday I’ve ever had. Iceland as a whole is for me the best place on our planet. I love the whole country but my favourite areas are Eastern Iceland and Snaefellness Peninsula. I haven’t visited the Western Fjords or the Highlands but will be doing this next year.
I'm heading to Iceland for my first trip in December. Of course I've been cramming tons of videos into my eye sockets but yours was one of the few I saved to go back to as I continuously plan this trip. Your information and links has gone far beyond and of the "professional" videos I've seen so far. Thanks! Just followed you on IG. Keep it up!
Just want to warn everybody about using Northern lights car rental at the Keflavík airport, they are scammers they find ways to charge you for damage that was done previously before your rental, then don’t even fix the car for the next rental. They have their own workshop, so all repairs are done in house but they say they are using a mechanic. Be very cautious.
Always take pictures and videos of the car before you rent it. That goes for any car rental company. Also, if you can afford damage waiver costs, pay them. If you can't, you can't afford to rent the car.
Hello, Joy from Tennessee, I just wanted to say that, this is one of the most detailed, excellent presentation of a tour that I have ever seen. Thank you so much for the information, I dream of going to Iceland one day and, your video tour has been so helpful. Most everyone talks about the luxurious hotels and city, and this is great, but You showed us how even being on a budget can be fun too. Keep posting, you should be world famous, you too are underrated, 😊
I can’t believe this channel hasn’t exploded yet. Fantastic cinematography. Love the color grading and look. Best of all, very informative and great tips. Also watched you videos on California and found them very helpful. Lots of info others don’t give. Keep up the great work!

@theloverspassport Hi! I just found your Channel. My husband & I are going on February. What month was this trip? I am very excited and thank you for so many helpful tips!
Hey nice video! I got a question regarding clothing; would you recommend merino wool or polyester? And for the layers, is a down jacket really needed or is a fleece jacket + hardshell sufficient?
Just an FYI, the "Aurora Tracker" actually monitors cloud cover. White = no clouds, Colours = Clouds. Then the Aurora intensity is mentioned on the top right.
The campgrounds vary A LOT depending on where in the country you are! We recommend looking at their website online and seeing if you need reservations in advance etc. because they can get filled up very quickly!
Your video and stills from Iceland in this video were awesome! Nice work! We’re going to be in Reykjavik for about a day and a half next month as a stop on a cruise. Can’t wait to see some of the amazing scenery! Thanks for sharing this video. Really enjoyed it. Some of your drone shots make me really jealous! 😊
Nice Vlog guys, you visited a lot of places that my daughter and I went to, also in 2021 and I have to agree witnessing Fagradalsfjall erupting in August that year was the most amazing sight I have ever seen, we were up there at midnight and it was just getting dark and the lava lit up the clouds above so dramatically, an image I got has recently been shortlisted in a photo competition back in the UK and one I am particularly proud of. Feel very privileged to have not only seen it but also photographed it in full swing. Probably a once in a lifetime opportunity. In all aspects Iceland delivers 👌🌋 going back next year to do the Westfjords and Highlands 😉
I loved your video! I’m going to Iceland in August and your tips will help us a lot!! Where exactly are the places showed at 2:49 and 2:51??? They need to be in my bucket list!!! ☺️😀

I'm planning the same drive in 7 days. The G Circle... then down the south coast. How far south ( ie to what Town) do you think is do-able comfortably, in a similar timeframe to your trip. Driving in Iceland was not bad at all! You can park and pay for all the parking in Reykjavik. I would bring waterproof boots just in case you get crazy whether! It can rain and snow randomly at any time!

Hello! What an awesome video! Thank you for the detailed itinerary! I want to plan a trip to Iceland, but I am a bit scared of the earthquakes. How bad is it?
I was stationed at Keflavik 1985-87. Youngest daughter was born there so she has 3 different birth certificates. A US one because she was born on Base and a Icelandic one along with a State Department one. It took some getting used to living there with the winds and other crazy weather. We drove to many sites such as Gulfoss and Thingvalir (don't know if I spelled that right!) I don't know since it's been so long but we were limited to what we could take off Base. No meats or anything like that. One pack of opened smokes and one sealed per person. We only had one "fastfood" place which was a KFC. A bucket of chicken was $89 back then!!!! But anyway it was a cool place to live for a short time.
Excellent video, guys. Lots of information presented in a concise and clear manner. Looking forward to following your tips on our ring road tour in April..... 👍🇮🇪
I just have to say, since this is the first video I have seen from you guys, that I've almost automatically saved the video, subscribed and gave a thumbs up! Not only did you cover basically everything, but you gave a complete tour with what to bring, when to go, what to see, and all that from a photographer and tourist point of view, in a immensely quality video. Well done and I'm looking forward to see your other adventures! Best regards from Belgrade, Serbia! 👏 P.S. I didn't catch it, where did you charge all of your electronic devices? Thanks!

Woud you go in the summer months here in the USA vs September or October?
July-September would be the best weather for outdoor activities!
@@TheLoversPassport less rain in July vs September?
Noticed you recommend localguide for ice cave tours. Are there better caves to see? We are photographers also and headed to Iceland this October. TIA for suggestions.
We have not explored too many of the caves but have heard local guide is the best!
Great job with this itinerary video! I've been doing lots of research for my photography trip and you guys definitely helped with a few new locations and some logistical information I was curious about. Thanks!
Thank you so much for watching! So happy it helped! :)
Great video guys! Super informative... we are planning a trip to Iceland in April. Is it the right time?
Thank you for the kind words! April will be awesome in Iceland! It will still be quite cold and the highlands will not be open, but the Ring Road and a lot of hiking should be awesome! Have a great time on your trip!
Hi guys! My husband and I are planning to go next year and this video is really the ULTIMATE GUIDE! Thank you for the tips and great videos!
When you guys hiked to that erupting volcano the second time did you had the area all to yourselves? And btw, I recently just became your follower on Instagram and UA-cam:)
Thanks for the feedback Tiffany! We did not have it all to ourself the second time but there were not that many people up there luckily!
