i would wonder how it compares to the F1 DD (DD1 for PS). is it worth it to swap those or not really.....i have only 1 rim, so no huge investments to switch to QR2
For a price that high (1300 euros - dollars) it should include pedals too
Hi I don’t know if you will respond but I wanted to ask if should get this bundle or get the dd+ separately with csl steering wheel p1 v2 with a qr2 pro wheelside which is a little cheaper, price isn’t the issue but I’d like to know which wheel would be better since the extreme wheel is made with what it seems cheaper quality but could also be a more versatile since I will play racing games of all categories such as f1 and rally unless I just pay extra money and get a seperate wheel also sorry for the long paragraph, thanks
Can you do a comparison review between the DD+ and DD1 for PS5 please. I don’t want to make the mistake of selling my DD1 for the DD+ if its not worth doing so. Thank you.

Great concise video review on Fanatec's newest bundle for PlayStation! Quick question...Does your review DD Plus base have the "coil whine" that's been reported by DD users who have reviewed it on other channels? Is your base silent by it just being on and not in use?
Mine is completely silent, I haven’t experienced that issue myself.
$1500 and they give you a plastic quick release? Ffs I understand the McLaren wheel gets a LITE Qr but that wheel is $200. This is insane

the QR2 lite, does not let's the DD go higher than 8Nm, why are they sending a wheel with a base that can reach double the force of the QR?
also could you compare fanatec CS DD vs simagic alpha mini?? I have seen that for drift the simagic it's faster, and also have settings to adjust the wheel speed without changing the force, where in fanatec the speed is changed with the force and then to get great speed you need to have a very heavy wheel, what does not feel realistic or practic in drift training.

I bought this item without doing Homework. The display on the wheel is just lit up with no MPH displayed. This is connected to the console of PS5. I know I don't have the options like being connect to the pc but no MPH and when I click the small button it goes into set up and i can't get back out of the set up screen. Is there something wrong with my wheel? or something else?

for clubsport DD+ - Steering Wheels fitted with QR1 Lite Wheel-Side or QR2 Lite Wheel-Side will be limited to 8 Nm torque.
Nice review but can anyone answer a few question i cant find....Can i use the cheap CSL Pedals with this, also if i buy the bmw steering wheel do i have to also buy an accessory for it like a QR2 LITE WHEEL SIDE and can i use this wheelbase to play the same racing games that can be played on the DD PRO

Yes, you can use the CSL pedals with this (that’s what I was using in this video)
If you buy the BMW wheel, you will have to buy the QR2 Lite wheel side separately to make it compatible with this wheelbase as it comes with QR2 base-side.
Yes, you can use this wheel for all the games you would with any other wheelbase.

Yeah I can definitely see how it’s frustrating. Keep in mind I receive my units from their marketing team so I assume they have separate allocations from the fulfillment team. I do see where you’re coming from though. Hope you get some updates soon.

How come on Fanatecs website it says the Clubsport DD isn't compatible with the PS5??
Only the DD+ is compatible, not the normal DD.
The existence of the Logitech G Pro is being ignored and neglected here. It is also a console compatible direct drive wheel… not to mention its True Force is already fully functional, so technically it’s currently the best DD wheel for console and still the definitive GT7 experience until Fanatec’s Full Force is ready to compare.

when referring to the most powerfull wheelbase they specificly mention the GRAN TURISMO licensed wheel. Whereas the DD1 podium is not Gran Turismo licensed ;)

10:40 that's not correct, True Force from Logitech works in this way. Fanatec's Full Force requires game devs to implement an API in the game itself so that delays are as low as possible because data is taken directly from game engine instead of processing audio signal
You're right, thank you for pointing that out. When Fanatec showed this off at the sim expo they were using it with in-game sound inputs but that was only to demonstrate the effect so I got this confused when writing the script.
For the price, I think you can get something of higher quality considering this new QR2 phase is already very upseting for some customers.

Honestly wish I could buy the wheel rim itself. Not really wanting to buy a whole new base seeing as I already have the GT DD Pro. I hated the rubber rim, and wished it was leather instead.
Interesting, perhaps they will do this in the future? Regardless, Fanatec does offer a ton of leather circular wheel rims that are cheaper so that’s definitely an option as well.
@@OCRacing That's fair. I just really do prefer the controls that the GT wheel rims have. Sucks that in order to get this one, I'd have to save up some money over a couple months just to get another base. Might end up giving a friend of mine the old one, but I'll have to wait & see.
@@Mapes. you could just wait a bit and I'm sure there will be people selling these rims second hand, fanatec forum, ebay or facebook marketplace is probably your best bet. If you do decide to get the new DD+, it's still an improvement in every way

@@lil_lemonade_03 For GT7 players the Logi wheel is the better choice. You're getting a wheel + load cell pedals for less than the cost of the GT DD Extreme.
So for those who don't have pedals then they would have to spend an extra €300 on top of this wheelbase on CSL Elite V2s to get pedals equivalent to the Logi Pro pedals.

I’ve heard it’s quite good on the Logitech DD base! Still yet to try it out myself but I reckon it’s a very similar experience with this base

Best review i've seen so far, thank you for mentioning that cheap plastiky wheel rim and buttons which many "reviewers" tend to overlook, IMO the best wheel for GT7 is still the Logitech G Pro and will be interesting to see how much fanatec can close the gap using fullforce

I always find it so strange (not to mention, misleading) when people say leather about any material that has some resemblance of leather.
I wonder if the clubsport table clamp would even be able to hold this beast. I have a gt dd pro with 8nm and qr2 upgrade and it feels like I can throw my desk out of my window 😂

Standard prices for a high quality DD setup with a PlayStation compatibility. The weaker Logitech isn’t much cheaper and also comes without pedals.

The QR2 Lite does get the full 15nm, yes. No need for the regular QR2 in order to maximize the force.
