The DD market is white hot atm....I'm not buying anything yet, I wanna see what anyone else is going to offer, I'm in no hurry. Awesome review as always Oscar!
@@kartzzy6101 Hmmm, pretty sure you've never used anything from PXN, that's the same statement all of the (fill in the blank) fanboys use. I've used and had a ton of fun modding and working with 2 of their systems already. They ain't great, but they DO work after messing around with them. This one seems considerably more polished and is the only DD wheel kit that's out of the box for all three of the big boys, PS5, Xbox and PC, not just one or possibly two if you buy the right wheel when ordering (looking at you Fanatec). For $500, this is easily the leader in it's price segment. What I mean by not getting it is I'm simply waiting for the inevitable price cuts on mid range setup from the established brands to fight this threat to their dominance. We all win when there's more competition.
The upcoming ADAC Simracing Expo in October 20-22, 2024 should tell us more about what's coming next. For me, it's a good time to make a purchase decision after the event, just in time for the Black Friday sales.

@@mrshankly6731 No. The mobile app provides lots of options to tweak and adjust the forces to your preference. FFB is subjective and most people like it a certain way. Hey OCRacing, PXN has a higher end wheel called the PXN V12 DDS. It has 10nm of force and seems to have better material quality, maybe you might like that wheel!
Just picked the V12DDS 10NM base with pedals and wheel at Micro Center for a ridiculous price, could not pass it up. Will install this weekend and we will see! So far, the build quality is outstanding and has an impressive package presentation.
@@efegulboyat micro center, on there website it says the 10nm base is $47 USD but it is out of stock, don’t know about your area tho. The informative video was nicely made and it's not your fault at all it's a good thing you waited further along for that info but you first lost me at 6nm and then not feeling the road as nicely as Moza or Fanatec. You still got my attention for almost 8min which is pretty good.
I had that question as well since i was also choosing which one i should get. In my research, the c5 is better since it has better immersion and software. However, this one has more room for aftermarket mods like a wheel faceplate and it has way better pedals
how long have you been using the bundle before the writing of the review? I had mine for almost 3 months, my pedal start to creak very quickly, as well as having connectivity issue between the wheel and the base, the shift light blinks like its losing connection when I race sometimes, so I'm wondering if you've ever run into any of these problem
Hey Oscar, I was looking around on your shop trying to find the OC Racing gloves that you use in all your videos. Is that not something that you sell and were they custom made for you? Thanks, keep up the awesome videos.
Im kinda debating between the fanatec CSL, or this. The biggest thing for the CSL is the upgrades to 8nm, and vastly more options for wheels (plus, the bundle im looking at is the WRC wheel, which has the round bottom), but the PXN is cheaper over all, coming with a clutch already. So all i really need to with that is just buying a shifter
I’m having nothing but issues with it. Was incredibly excited. GT cockpit/seat. PS5. V12 lite (wheel and pedals). N5 adapter. (And also the PSVR2, but not related here). At first my issue was just “no FFB/resistance during GT7 races (worked in Grid Legends, and on/off in NFS Heat). Now it’s gone psycho. Now, the Menu toggle (and even the virtual keyboard in the wheel app) just force scroll all the way to the right (have to use the PS5 controller to navigate menus), and the car only turns right. The wheel will randomly “calibrate” forcefully about 15-20 spins to the right. I wanted to love this thing, but I’m furious and so disappointed.
I think you left out the most important piece of information and that is the price. You said "at this price point", but I'm really curious how it compares to the likes of the Moza R5 and the Fanatec CSL DD price per performance. If PXN has it considerably cheaper, then Moza and Fanatec should definitely be worried.
In the beginning of the video I said "Competitively priced in the $500 range" that's because I noticed the price varied a little bit, but the most popular listing on Amazon was for $520.
I'd argue there isn't the concept of future proofing in Sim racing. The gear won't become obsolete like a graphics card might. Logitech have been pumping the same product with slight tweaks, a new name and face for decades now and people still enjoy them. And for good reason. It's more whether you'll want to upgrade to better gear or not.
Hello, sir. May I ask a question? I have very little space available so I can't have a cockpit in my house. My desk is a real sturdy one so there will be no problem using a direct drive. The question is: I'm undecided between Moza R3 (its little base might fit my desk) and Cammus C5 (I know there is C12 but let's be true if I pay 500+ dollars I want Moza). Which one would you recomend? I'm quite on the C5 side due to its really small size and ease to mount/dismount/store in my closet but I'd like to have your opinion. Really, size matters so R5/R9/R12 aren't suitable options. All considering that C5 with desk clamp and pedals costs $329 and Moza R3 costs $450 both in Europe. I forgot to say that I just play on PC so any console compatibility is unneeded now and won't be needed in the future.

@@jochenkraus7016 Avoid taking a wheel that is too heavy or too large, because the T300 is 3.9 nm.... and not 12 or 20 nm. You might lose a lot of detail going in this direction... The must, will always remain the Tm open wheel add-on
@@rani5752 Thrustmaster sometimes has refurbished things in their online shop and some online shops sell things that are sent back for a cheaper price. And some TM bases don't come with brake pedals or with very cheap ones.
Awesome product especially for the price and has pc, ps4\5, xbox compatibility. But getting it shipped to the EU can be more expensive than the wheel itself!
Would you be able to test this on playstation? Perhaps on your shorts channel, as apparently it has drivehub built in to achieve console compatibility which could dampen performance

@@OCRacing yeah, it was a good base,I probably just got a bad one. I still have the wheel. It's basically the same as the Moza Rs V1 13" one (but I only paid $119.00 for it and it works via USB c.
Amazon link takes me to a page with various PXN wheels, none being the V12 Lite. Via the website I can't find a price or a purchase option. What am I doing wrong ahahaha
Is 34" ultrawide your plant's final decisions? Because I have such a screen. But I made the mistake to put two smaller screens next to it just to see what it looks like and, well, yesterday I ordered two 27" 16:9. Remember, it's a trap!
I hope one day all starts to adapt a more standardized telemetry data system in games as well so if one dd wheel works the rest would be the same, it sucks to always wait for a specific telemetry data for a game to work while it supports others, idk how many games pxn wheel supports they only shows 9, while moza got 20 with telemetry and 7 without but still ffb works, why others wouldn't is simply stupid
does it say explicitly it does not support ps5? Usually ps4 support also means ps5 support. Even the g29 has a little switch on it for PC or PS4 , but the ps4 function also lets it work on a ps5.
Need Forza Motorsport review with this wheel, I race with around 10 buddies that all have sims on xbox sx, one of them is replacing his g920 so I was looking at this.
Need some help didnt know where else to put this. Just retired and want to build a racing sim. I am not sure what I want. I dont want to buy one prebuilt. want to build a 3 monitor set up with all the gadgets. I have been watching all your videos the last couple of days, and when i get this started want to make sure you make some money off of it. Guessing the whole process will take me 2 or 3 months. My first question is how muchtorgue do you really need in a drive to feel real? I seen a video where someone was interviewing a real driver that plays sims and he said he all that torque was realistic so he turns it down. Just dont want to over spend for power i wont use. but i want something that feels real. currently looking at moza products
Good review but btw this is completely random, a good content idea could be to use your website to built a sim rig setup for a set amount of budget, this could serve as entertainment as well as advertising your site more.
Need a good force feedback wheel for Xbox series x...between This,Moza r3 and Thrustmaster TX leather edition...anyone use any of these with any input??
Anyone had a chance to test on console (PS5)? Also, looks like the wheel has standard mounting. Wondering even with the funky wheel shape of it can take after market wheels.
I almost never review desk clamps, especially not with DD units, it just doesn't make much sense and logistically it's hard for me to do since I don't have a desk setup.

@@jochenkraus7016 it's great but I bought it full price and I live in the Caribbean where it's very hot so unless I use ac I get ffb loss after some time. I really like the wheel but for $50 more think I would have gone for a direct drive.
@@PeetuhGaming if you get a good deal then take it unless you live somewhere very hot and it get force feedback loss. A noctua fan mod fixes that but didn't see the nead to do that as yet as it haven't been too bad.
I think pxn is trying to make a name for themselves and honestly the wheel ain’t that bad good pricing and I’m here for it honestly
Hey question! What do you think is better, the thrusmaster T248 (with the T3pm pedals) or thr t300 rs gt(t3pa pedals) one has a better base and other has better pedals, idk whats more important
T300 + T-lcm .... or T3pm
@@THESHADOW97139 If possible, I'd also get a better steering wheel. E.g. the T300 is also available with the 599XX Alcantara wheel.
@@jochenkraus7016 Avoid taking a wheel that is too heavy or too large, because the T300 is 3.9 nm.... and not 12 or 20 nm.
You might lose a lot of detail going in this direction...
The must, will always remain the Tm open wheel add-on
@@THESHADOW97139 the problem is that i found them only in a bundle, if I buy them separately and chose my pedals it's gonna be way more expensive
He did it!! HE FINALLY DID IT!!!!
LONG TIME COMING!!!
@@OCRacing HELL YA
Can pxn v12 wheel work on v12 lite wheel base that wheel look good
Would you be able to test this on playstation? Perhaps on your shorts channel, as apparently it has drivehub built in to achieve console compatibility which could dampen performance
the shape of the wheel makes it hard to put on mod wheels with out changing the button box aswell
Does this support moza steerinng wheels?
Or does PXN have formula wheel mod?
Will it work out fantastically out of the box with Gran Turismo 7? So many potential million drivers in that market.
Yes i have Both the Lite and 10nm Version (I Always Get 2 of Most Things) and Yes It Works With PS Grab Turismo 7 Just Fine - Adjusting Everything In The Game Is Quick And Easy - Download The App To Your Phone - Adjust The Feel And Feedback MOSTLY From The Phone - And Fine Tune In The Game Settings and You Are 👍🏾
Had the V12 (non lite 10nm), it's good, but software needs work. Rev lites never worked, and mine went up on smoke after a week or so.
Apart from it going up in smoke, I'm glad to hear we've had a similar experience. Overall, not bad at all but still some more work left to do.
@@OCRacing yeah, it was a good base,I probably just got a bad one. I still have the wheel. It's basically the same as the Moza Rs V1 13" one (but I only paid $119.00 for it and it works via USB c.
I have the pedals, they're awesome!
What shoes are those?? I’m looking for some casual sim shoes
Puma speedcat. I actually just use water shoes. Light, slim, grippy and 5 bucks on Amazon lol.
This or the moza r3? This is almost 70 bucks more expensive than r3 in my country. The extra pedal, higher torque are tempting
Contemplating between the two as well….
Can you test it on console? Xbox and ps5
Have you actually tested if this thing works on Playstation and XboX?
Btw i have question does the v12 lite work with the thrustmaster handbrake and shifter?
it will if your on pc because you can just plug the shifter and handbrake into your pc
@Jingo_Bells thank you bro
Any problems with game compatibility (ACC, F1 and Forza Motorsport) on Xbox series?
Amazon link takes me to a page with various PXN wheels, none being the V12 Lite. Via the website I can't find a price or a purchase option. What am I doing wrong ahahaha
It's not your problem. It's PXN problem. It means go buy another product.
Can this wheelbase work with th8s gear shift in ps5?
how is the design of the pedals corny exactly?
Hey oc my cactus plant is dying and its wish was to get a 34 inch ultrawide for my sim setup 😢 please make its wish come true 👍 🙏
How about some water instead?
Wow amazing I agree he should get the cactus a 34 inch ultrawide I'm sure that cactus said it wants a oled samsung monitor
@@OCRacing it is allergic
@@Barakkaplan wow yeah how did you know
Is 34" ultrawide your plant's final decisions? Because I have such a screen. But I made the mistake to put two smaller screens next to it just to see what it looks like and, well, yesterday I ordered two 27" 16:9.
Remember, it's a trap!
You should try the big brother 10nm version
I’ll see what I can do 👍
How would this compare to the moza r3 for an Xbox user?
Twice as powerful. Id rather this
Does this work with the PXN V99 shifter?
I hope one day all starts to adapt a more standardized telemetry data system in games as well so if one dd wheel works the rest would be the same, it sucks to always wait for a specific telemetry data for a game to work while it supports others, idk how many games pxn wheel supports they only shows 9, while moza got 20 with telemetry and 7 without but still ffb works, why others wouldn't is simply stupid
Yeah I agree
One question, I read that it’s only compatible with ps4 and not ps5. Do you know if it also works on ps5?
does it say explicitly it does not support ps5? Usually ps4 support also means ps5 support. Even the g29 has a little switch on it for PC or PS4 , but the ps4 function also lets it work on a ps5.
@@blownfuse2131 I once heard that its not ps5 compatible thats why Im not sure. But what you said is normally the case, same with my t300.
@@iron_max_yt it has a usb adapter that ig comes with bundle that lets it connect to ps5
@@unkalcxb thats amazing, thanks for the information mate!
Honestly, this quick release should be the standard.
🤔 .... OC ??
c5 or (vs) pxn ??
Good review but btw this is completely random, a good content idea could be to use your website to built a sim rig setup for a set amount of budget, this could serve as entertainment as well as advertising your site more.
Thanks for the feedback! I'll see what I can do.
Was wondering when someone would cover this
I've had my eyes on it for a while, glad I was finally able to get it in my hands. Definitely a solid competitor overall.
This works on ps5 ? I thought only fanatec and Logitech had a dd wheel on ps5
Please review on the ffb for ps5
Yo bro you forgot to review the desk clamp
I almost never review desk clamps, especially not with DD units, it just doesn't make much sense and logistically it's hard for me to do since I don't have a desk setup.
@@OCRacing okay fair enough
I used to have this until I returned it for a moza r9. it's decent
decent indeed.
