Yeah it’s a joke, imagine waiting 3 months for the dd+, specifically to use on Gt/ps5 and they suddenly reveal this JUST after the order confirms so you can’t change or cancel it.
@@darkhorsedan3247Not sure where you live but within the EU you always have 14 days from delivery to cancel any online order. So if they haven't shipped you can always cancel.
Steve probably got the fastest delivery of a Fanatec product in the last six months with this one.
He’s probably had the rim and base for over a month. The hold up on the DD+’s was Sony.

Kudos to mentioning the issues Fanatec is having; there's too much "youtuber gets free product, hypes product mindlessly ignoring all points of criticism" out there already.

Right? I was looking for a dd wheel I can use on Playstation. Seems like my only option is Logitech's dd pro wheel.
@@MrTehNoms There are three options, I think. This wheel, the G Pro, and the older DD Pro.
I have both the DD Pro and G Pro. The latter kicks the DD Pro's arse, and for the price - pedals and shipping included - is great value compared to this new wheel.
But this DOES look very nice. One thing I liked with the DD Pro was the dedicated buttons for BB, TCS and FM, replicated here.
Gt dd pro bundle is a good starting point and fairly priced

Its worth every penny, its the best wheelbase available by far for any platform. Fullforce is a game changer and will make a big difference once its released. Logitech has something similar called trueforce. This wheelbase has the fastest slew rate so it responds the quickest and you get ffb the quickest, the smoothest and most detailed ffb, and it can hold its torque after hours of gameplay without any drops while other bases do have drops. Also once fullforce is here it will take this wheelbase to a new level, and it will clearly without doubt be the best.
Quick release is nice in case of an accident you can get out easily.
That PSU looks like the original X360 Power Brick.

The colored button rings are awesome. The speed it adds to finding whatever buttons you need during a race would be game changing
I love how Fanatec can get promo stuff out to UA-camrs in record time but their customers wait for months to get products they paid for. This isn't a slight on UA-camrs, just on Fanatec's poor customer service.

Digit Gaming did a good review about Fanatec's parent company Endor and its business condition. They have a human resources problem and it's obvious. Not to mention how bad they are at turning around deliveries to customers or the fact that they'd take orders for the new wheel without having completed a license agreement with Sony. Just very sketchy business practices imo.
I wish they spent less on marketing and more on customer service
Fanatec is going to keep spending on their marketing budget but cant stick to the basics of their operation with fulfilling orders. Why keep spending on influencers to sell their product if they cant fulfill months of backorders? On top of that their customer service takes nearly 2 months to reply to their tickets? They need to fix their business first before pushing more sales
I’ll be impressed when they finally start making full size wheels a standard because mostly adults who drive cars with a full size wheel buy them and kids don’t usually build sim racing units. Knowing your market is key and they don’t seem to understand it yet and neither do any other sim accessory companies.

Kireth had an interview with Fanatec's CEO recently that explained their recent problems worth a look if your waiting for a delivery from them.
I ordered my gt dd pro mid Jan got it 10 days later, hopefully they've sorted out their problems.

Seems like a great bit of kit, I just wish they went with a flatter, carbon GT/Race centre plate - rather than the OEM plastic styling, but that's just my preference.

I just got my gt7 DD extreme going to have to order the pedals now but I like the option of being able to pick whatever pedals I want and not just being stuck with the pedals that are compatible.. I've only ever used thrustmaster wheels so I am extremely impressed with this fanatec wheel it's very heavy and built with quality very happy with it..This wheel plus my new GTR pro sim cockpit and my vr2 headset will help me to reach the next level.. Control is everything in Sim raising so I'm glad that's the one thing you were really noticing is the level of control you have with the wheel.. Very nice...Top Vid..🙏💯

I really love the camera view for the wheel itself. It helps seeing how much rotation you're putting your car under during certain corners, especially for someone like me who's trying to improve his lap times and cornering technique. If possible would you be willing to show this view during qualifying and time trial videos? Great video all in all.

Thanks Steve! I got the DD Pro that came with the CSL Pedals and LOVE IT! Also running the load cell brake. The only things I might like from this Extreme to my Pro is the more premium feel of the wheel and paddle shifters and the bigger smoother (I guess) motor. But for that price I'm happier with my DD Pro. Cheers!

Sorry for the late reply. I agree they should have tossed in some Load Cell Pedals and sold it as a full bundle.
That fuel map adjustment looks so convenient, and will surely make a difference over the course of a race.

Hi Steve. When you were using your DD X wheelbase, did you notice the wheelbase vibrating if you overdrive the tires? I'm getting that after updating the firmware. Is there a chance this is intentional and I should use it as a guide when I put the tires at their limit? Thanks!

Would you recommend this over the Logitech Pro? It appears that "True Firce" is similar to "Full force". I currently have Club sport V3 pedals so the $1300 price is about equal to what I would have to pay for the complete Logitech system. It seemsthe Fanatec eco system is much more robust than Logitech, since they have had the last year to add wheels, and haven't.
What is wheel like does it have good force feedback and what does it feel like compared to other wheels
So I'm guessing you can't get the rim for a gt dd pro? I don't need 15nm nor to spend 3 times the price of my ps5.
What settings were you running as well?
Any clipping? Also, the QR2 lite limits the max torque to 8NM, does not make sense

While I can't speak to the shop times of this product, I have had two orders with fanatec in the last couple months. I think the longest wait I had was a week and a half between ordering and having in hand.

I have been playing on my XBox one and Forza Motorsport 7 and my Thrustmast TMX wheel, for a number of years and have just ordered the Fanatec CSL DD 8NM wheel with a ClubSport Steering Wheel Formula V2.5 X (for XBox) and the CSL Elite Pedals V2. that said in order for me to go to Forza Motorsport 8 I need to change to a XBox Series X. So my question is do I now make the move to Grand Turismo 7 and a playstation 5? Love to get any feedback from this group, and even Super GT. Amazing. In any case thanks for any feedback and this video.

When I got mine I hooked it up and did one race. That was over a month ago.
I was the dude on pole in that first race and my internet that day was dying of death. I didn’t even get to the second corner before it kicked me out lol

Its because of the Game. Windows already had those features via Fanatec drivers. GT7 will have to make an update. However since GT7 and Fanatec have a pretty good relationship, it should happen soon. Hopefully...

Super gt I have a question about the fanatec mclaren gt 3 steering wheel what base do i need for the ps ?
CSL DD, DD Pro or DD Extreme. (as long as it says PS compatible on the Fanatec website).
Well, pretty safe to say that I want one. But I play in VR, so I can't see it. Can't see the screen, can't see the buttons. But the major switches look like they're in the same pace as the DD Pro wheel, so I should be fine.
I think Steve mentioned the smoothness and the precision, this sounds good to me, diaregarding the screen and so on.
But the big rim (and smoothness and precision) is what I'm after. Sounds awesome.
I will have to wait and hope that it becomes considerably cheaper though 😬
It would be so nice, if the display would only show current gear like in Dirt Rally. I don't want to see how fast i am, but i want to see the gear im in at all times.
The RPM Meter isn't colored yet...oh well! I hope tthis comes in the next few updates and then we can get wild with fanalab ^^

As for FullForce is a "subwoofer" that makes vibrations so you can feel when going out of track or over a curb or any other vibrations on the tyres, the thing is, this isn't implemented in this wheel, TrueForce is the same thing in the Logitech PRO and there it actually works, similar technology is available in ThrustMaster TRS300 and Logitech belt driven G923.

I wish they would do an upgrade to the Mclaren GT3 wheel or finally give us that Bentley rim that keeps showing up but is never released. That one looks good though for GT7 especially as its designed specifically for the game.

Yeah they’re shipping now. I believe it was the licensing that was the hold up for the DD+’s.
Direct control over brake bias, fuel map, and TC is a step in the right direction.
Shouldve use rotary switch instead joy stick. I found it rotary switch work better compare to joy stick. Even on a real car.

My question is about the diameter. Is it the same as the outgoing dd pro wheel? When I upgraded to my Clubsport RS I noticed a huge improvement in my steering accuracy due to the larger wheel size being more true to life. The smaller wheels feel twitchy

As a follow up to your comments about Fanatec & their delivery issues : I was going to order the GT DD Pro in October 2023, then Fanatec told me that the DD & DD+ were coming so I held off in the hopes of getting a "more premium setup".
I ended up ordering the DD+, the Podium Porsche Wheel (with the endurance button set & the paddle shifter set & thanks to the Black Friday sale ended up getting the V3 pedals with the Tuning kit & Damper kit for just €300.
I received an email today to say it's on it's way & then hear about the GT DD Extreme ..... Talk about P***ED OFF.
The GT DD Extreme (apart from not having the pedals) is EXACTLY what I wanted in the first place.
Instead of which, I've now got (or will have soon) the DD+ (perfect), the V3 pedals (perfect) but the Podium Porsche wheel instead of the GT wheel. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
Fullforce is not implemented in gt7 is it? He mentions it in the race how smooth it is but my understanding is that it is not implemented in any games yet
