In my soil mix wood chips would not work. I use sawdust and sand. As water and feed the plants the nutrients they need they give back to the soil and provide a great living space for microlife.
We are getting a lot of rain in New Hampshire. I have your fertilizer mix and I was wondering if I should fertilize the outdoor plants more often because of all the rain. Thank you.
Thank you for your purchase, much appreciated. Keep an eye on how your plants look. If they are showing signs of nutrient deficiencies then give them an extra application. Usually the first sign of nutrient deficiencies caused by too much water is yellowing of all the leaves on the plant. Best of success to you.
Thank you for asking. The day you transplant starts into the garden give them a side dressing of just Nitrogen, at 1/4 oz per linear foot. Then 3 days later start them on a weekly application of weekly feed as outlined on the package instructions.
Grasshoppers are everywhere. They over wintered in my greenhouse. At the first sign of them I sprinkled food grade diatomaceous earth on my plants and that took care of them. Give it a try. It always works for me.
You have alot of fungal and bacteria going on with the wood chips ect. All that life helps the plants find the nutrients they need. "Living Web Soil"

I hit the thumbs up. Accidentally hit the down button but corrected my mistake. There is no thumbs down from me.

Hey Dave. I have some mix left over from last year. Would it still be good and ok to use?
Yes, absolutely. Is 100% minerals. They never go bad.
do you grow any vegetables outside anymore?
Because I have the blessing of two greenhouses that produce more food than we can eat I don't grow outside anymore.
Do you have some suggestions on how to get cheap plastic for greenhouses? I want to get a greenhouse up in the fall. But everything costs so much now.
Thank you for asking. I do. I made a video on that. Here you go: ua-cam.com/video/j79gesGSQ6c/v-deo.html
