BRAKING NEWS! The popular youtube and twitch streamer Moist Critical passes gass live on his youtube at time stamp 5:50. Will he ever financially recover?
Totally agree with you but one of my biggest pet peeves about modern "journalism" is the fact that it's almost impossible to find an article these days that isn't filled with tweets or Instagram posts
It's an absolute nightmare. I would install a filter to hide any article with "twitter," but if people embrace the X rebrand it'll be a whole lot of effort for nothing.
EDIT: this is not meant to be a deep comment, lol. it was more to show that there's often a disconnect between the writers of these articles and their subjects. to clarify: i'm on the creative copywriting side which is a very stable, 401k-jobs type of industry, we take on projects as a company and therefore don't have to rely on digital impressions as much. Full-time writer here (not for Dexterto), to give insight on the "behind the scenes" of these articles. Whether a journalist uses AI or not doesn't really matter, the main issue is when hired, we have to crank out unreasonable amounts of articles and the more *shocking* or *clickbaity* it is, the more interactions they get. So most journalists in charge of these articles probably don't care what they're cranking out, as long as it can please the higher ups and likely to land them bonuses, etc. So the issue at the end of the day is the company model -- they don't prioritize *quality, they prioritize quantity* and when you do that, eventually you're just gonna get garbage.
the worst sites are the ones that allow ad block but literally hide the whole article behind a paywall. There's just no way that you'd put anything important behind a wall and forcing me to pay for access, not to mention that I don't want to support a news outlet at all that literally forces people to pay to be able to read information no matter how little info or how unimportant it is. Information should be free, not a luxury that some people can't afford.
@@JasonBrodyM9for real it's like they'll practically demand like "nonono, you might have disabled it on this site, but we can tell the extension is still installed. We demand that you delete that extension from your browser immediately, and a written apology for daring to use such software"
Written news is dead anyway, I never go on articles anymore. Find independent content creators you trust, you're actually better off getting news that way. One great channel is Some More News. Sure, you might say these people are biased. Yes, but are news sites not biased? Every major news site is owned by like 5 mega corporations, and just put out AI generated garbage anyway. And it's not just news. I can't even Google any issue anymore without the first page being full of websites with AI slop in them. I have to add "reddit" at the end of any search term to even have a hope of finding a real person's inputs on the topic. Google is largely to blame for this, btw.
i looked for a lot of article sites when i was bored at work, its actually really hard to find places that dont just regurgitate the same article from a different site with words switched around like a highschool essay
DUDE I can go to multiple websites and it is THE same article word by word save a few changed/omitted here and there. I was taught plagiarism was bad in 3rd GRADE bro so like. Whats up
I've noticed that too, that every news article is the same word for word. I would think that would be plagiarism, but somehow they get away with it, maybe cus they're all copying from one source that tells them what to write? I've looked up why it's like that and couldn't find a valid reason.
@@jenniferb.awesome It depends on what kind of news you mean, but if the article says somewhere it's by something like "The Associated Press", the reason it's repeated word-for-word across multiple platforms is because The Associated Press is a wire service. They do the original work, and other outlets pay them to post it on their page. It adds a bit of coverage they might not otherwise have the resources to gather themselves. Other major wires you might see include Agence France-Presse (AFP) and Reuters.
This makes me think of stuff I've tried to look up on game wiki's lately. Out of nowhere random ass music would start playing. I clicked the mute on all the video adsa and it still continued. The most ridiculous part is there was no voice, so it wasn't even reallt trying to sell something.

Instructions unclear: After attempting to read an article I have broken my legs, every vertebrae, became paralyzed from the waist down, and shattered my skull.
Another thing about articles on my phone even past the ads. The article just repeats the headline like every paragraph and doesn't actually give anything more than the headline.
Or it's a top five list and two thirds of the article is describing the topic. Have to scroll through 2 pages of descriptions and ads just to start the list. And it's always like this with food recipes especially.
Always remember that it is ALWAYS the heads of the company, not the actual writers. The writers get peanuts and need to fulfill the ever-increasing quota of published articles and the team leaders keep pushing you towards certain types of written content. Sometimes even, an actual gaming news piece gets shut down because 'you should really do this thing instead'. And they will always push you toward internet celebrities because anything with "MoistCharlie" or "xQc" in the title gets stupid amounts of views compared to in-depth guides, reviews, previews, and whatnot. You COULD say I have some experience with what I am talking about, but for legal reasons, I'm talking outta my ass/read that on the internet somewhere.
Don't forget articles that are like "RELEASE DATE FOR *insert some anticipated game here* CONFIRMED" in the headline, and then it's like "Well, we actually don't have a release date"
Yeah well if the propaganda that they are asked to write was against their moral code, they have the option to get a different job, this isn't communism.
There was a news notification I got once. It said something along the lines of "Grown Ups actor dead at [age] - Adam Sandler pays tribute to [name]" and it made me think for a few seconds that Adam Sandler had died because part of the title was cut off in the notification.
Literally I saw the thumbnail for the article on this video and had to read the title like four times because I was genuinely trying to find what the "shocking news" was about that statement. I just kept reading it over and over and then going, ".....Yeah??" I thought I was going insane that I was missing something.
The way you describe how they need to put out article is so funny. They made an article about me based on a comment I left on the Palworld Reddit post. It wasn't even worth writing about either but like Charlie said they need to post 15 articles an hour so they posted an article about it.

If they don't care, why do they defend it so hard

MY FARTS ARE BETTER THAN CHARLIES FARTS
If a site asks me to turn off my Adblock, I don’t go on it. I’m not that interested in something that I know is BS.
the worst sites are the ones that allow ad block but literally hide the whole article behind a paywall.
There's just no way that you'd put anything important behind a wall and forcing me to pay for access, not to mention that I don't want to support a news outlet at all that literally forces people to pay to be able to read information no matter how little info or how unimportant it is. Information should be free, not a luxury that some people can't afford.
Every site that's requests that won't let you use it even with it disabled
@@JasonBrodyM9for real it's like they'll practically demand like "nonono, you might have disabled it on this site, but we can tell the extension is still installed. We demand that you delete that extension from your browser immediately, and a written apology for daring to use such software"
@@JasonBrodyM9 lmao! I never even went that far to find that out, that's good to know.
I’m a writer, so if I ever spend time doing journaling, I hope I don’t barrage my website with ads, even I know how annoying it is.
