Yeah, I don’t get the problem with it. The same thing happened with My Little Pony and that turned out mostly fine. (Also holy shit, these bots in the replies SUCK)
"Thanks for ruining my 3 year olds day" I literally saw a 3 year olds day ruined today because they couldn't eat food that was in mud. Their day can be ruined by anything
Look all I’m saying is if I was 5 and my parents told me I was going to see my favorite cartoon character, and instead we got a strange adult man in a $20 amazon onesie, my day would definitely be ruined
As a father to a little girl who is almost 3, and two almost 2 year old twin boys, this is so true. It could be the most completely un-reasonable thing you could think of and they will cry over it, real tears and all. Children are ridiculous. Edit: don’t think for a second I don’t love my little munchkins though. They are my world.
I think something news stations forget is that kids will cry over ANYTHING. "Kids were crying" doesn't mean a whole lot. When I was growing up, I had a 10 year age gap with my younger cousins, so by the time they were talking in sentences, I was already a teen. I vividly remember a time when they were still toddlers and we came across a man walking his dog. The younger cousin said they wanted to "pet the kitty". I explained to them in a kind and informative voice that it's actually a dog and they started crying and saying "why isn't it a cat?"
That's actually a great point tho, like it's not bad for kids to cry, it's very normal I don't know why some people forget this, as far as I'm aware a kid will cry if they get told no, will cry if they accidentally drop a toy down the slide, will cry if they take a trip, and that's OK, because then they can be comforted and taught about how why those things happen and shown how to either A avoid those things, B that whatever happened isn't a big deal, and that C sometimes you just have to accept it- (In reverse order of the things I mentioned) I should know, I was a kid once xd and so was my sister, and my siblings.
@@medievalsabre8649 what you're describing is babies, toddlers, or kids with soft parenting. Nothing more annoying than a kid who fucking cries over every little thing

tbh i think they aren’t. despite all the drama, the adult bluey fandom seems to be more like adults finding comfort in the show rather then how adults have been with kids shows like my little pony or the loud house. it could’ve gotten worse since i’ve last checked in, but they just seem to be sad adults with anger issues.
@@basementdwellercosplay I am also a fan of Bluey, and I don’t even want to think about what kind of crap is out there.. I hope it doesn’t turn out like My Little Pony.
Bluey did not deserve any of this. It was created by a father based on his everyday experiences with his daughters. It's a passion project created out of pure love, dedication, and sincerity for his daughters and the animation genre. How the internet managed to out-dedicate and out-sincere him is beyond me.
No matter how good someone may appear. There are cracks and seams you can always point at. Especially something that gets high praise, it almost begets higher scrutiny.
It really doesn’t deserve this bullshit at all. It’s a genuinely great show and a fantastic example of kid’s content that doesn’t treat the audience like idiots, something that seems to be becoming increasingly rare these days. The characters, the writing, the voice acting, the music, the animation, it’s all quite consistently good. And now the fucking superfans are ruining it for everyone because grown-ass adults don’t know how to act like grown-ass adults. Thanks guys, I hope you’re all happy with yourselves.
Is that why this blew up the way it did? It felt like one day, I had never heard of Bluey.. and the next day, I couldn’t go an hour without hearing or seeing the name “Bluey” 😑
@@TheAndrewj96It kinda weird that dark shows with cynicism and depression tend to have wholesome fandom despite minor toxicity while wholesome shows got creeps, edgy hormones teens, toxicity and drama controversy I mean look at MLP and Steven Universe.
I've seen pretty much all the Bluey episodes cuz of kids. People like it cuz: - Beautiful animation - Great use of music - Cute wholesome stories - The Heeler family is super endearing - Great continuity episode to episode in the background - Very cleverly written. There's a 8 min episode that covers all of the evolution of life on Earth (single cell orgs -> Space faring civ) - It doesn't sound as brain dead as some other kids tv that can drive adults insane
I watch Bluey and i can say is the most overrated thing of these years its good but man people use this to get easy views and get to be the top #1 of imdb
Thats very accurate. It's short, Sweet, and very much gets the point across within the 8 minute show. It's very wholesome than what's out there today. It actually shows a family being a family.
The thing about adults watching Bluey...I personally don't have a problem with adults watching kids shows, so long as they don't get creepy about it. I used to watch MLP but I rarely tell anyone because I didn't want them thinking I'm a pervert, when in reality it's just that some kids shows have themes that resonate with adults too. But there's always the creeps that mess it up for everyone.
I watched it as a teen (back in it's heyday) and I feel like I'm an outlier, because of how many males turned out with a queer identity of sorts or were creepy with it. The reason I liked it was because it was a genuinely good show, with wholesome themes and positivity, and honestly I needed that back then because I sometimes underestimate how much I was depressed back then. I did meet sexualized bronies at that time which I didn't think much about then but now looking back, it's concerning but then again, why was I an outlier? Thank you for sharing your experience.
Exactly that, the vast majority of "bronies" would never or rarely call themselves that, especially to someone they didn't know, because the disgusting, perverted *small percentage* of adults that watched it soured everyone's perception of the whole. I think the fact that it was a meme due to how absurd and gross it was really bolstered the voices of the weirdos too.
I didnt watch mlp at 11 bc i saw strange bronies online and it scared me away. I should have watched it earlier insted of being on the internet so young.
Just remember: UA-cam will delete your comments if you discuss a spicy topic, which requires a fairly complex automated moderation system... But moderating bot comments, which is relatively fairly simple, they won't do. It's not that they can't. It's that they don't care.
_Bluey_ 🤝 _My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic_ Both harmless cartoon shows ends up getting caught up with a lot of drama by adults on the Internet. We have all comes in full circles.
@@MrZixadI mean, if we think about this argument, wasn't Nicktoons like Hey Arnold and CN shows like Courage the cowardly Dog or Powerpuff girls were targeted for kids yet to this day are well known for the good writing and touching moments as they also had lessons for their audiences??
Bluey is such a good childrens show. Its so easy to just sit and watch it with my kid, we both love it. I cant imagine being bamboozled like these folks.
As a parent who watches Bluey with his daughter, I can explain. Its SUPER WHOLESOME. If you have had issues in your life because you feel like you didnt have strong parental figures, this show will absolutely help. It has some of the best life lessons for parents and even regular people. Im a big baby to be fair but me and my wife find ourselves in tears like “damn I wish we had learned lessons like this sooner”
And when they're 20 they're gonna look back and laugh to their parents "Remember when we went to see Bluey and he was just a slacker in a onesie?" is a family memory.
I saw this comment before getting to that part of the video and I thought this was referencing the Joker meme where he says "You say peacock and no one bats an eye, but if you say poop cock everyone loses their minds" Gave me the same vibes idk y
"I think its people that just really like the cartoon" As a former brony, that is EXACTLY the same reason bronies tuned in to watch MLP. It was just a really good show. Also, Bronies ARE in fact, still around. They're just a lot more niche and smaller now.
@@Flinch9000 I'd put it on the same level as Phineas and Ferb. It's aimed more towards girls, but would you tell a girl who watches Power Rangers that there's something wrong with _her?_ Nope. It's just a show aimed to entertain with funny characters, and plenty of jokes and references that go over kids' heads. As the parent of a kid who watched it (and thus I watched it) I got a lot of jokes she definitely missed. And the show is very geek friendly. Like, holy crap, having John De Lancie (Q from Star Trek) as the anti-villain chaos god Discord was a stroke of casting genius. Especially in that episode when he ran a lethal D&D campaign...
@@SomeUA-camTraveler was that in the later seasons? I haven't watched anything past season 5 yet. The closest comparison I can make to MLP, is Powerpuff Girls, the OG version. It too had a core audience of girls, but it mostly also appealed to everyone and anyone. Even me and my friends talked about it in school back in the day.
My gf is still in the MLP fandom, it's a big comfort show for her. From what I've seen the fandom is much more chill now. Lots of fanartists and ppl who like to collect the vintage ponies from previous gens. It seems really nice.
Bluey is a wholesome family of Australian Blue and Red heeler dogs, my niece is obsessed with it (yes she is a four year old) Its a nice little show talking about understanding and respect, something the adults seemed to have forgotten. BTW as an Aussie it's great to see something made here doing so well overseas, which I was unaware of.
Yeah Bluey is massive, almost Wiggles massive, Australia's had a pretty good run on children's entertainment, probably because our government treats us like we are all 5 years old
Bluey is the only cartoon I can say I actually enjoy watching with my daughter. Now I would never watch it on my own but it is a great show. They recognize that parents will be watching as well and there are a lot of lessons about understanding and relatable moments that make it actually a very enjoyable show.
It's a really wholesome show , almost therapeutic for people with traumatic family issues. Seeing them be happy is like a chicken soup for the soul kind of thing
@@vaya-dragon1998its more like. the Way the dialog is written i think? think of it like the first toy story movie- its Made For Kids, absolutely, but there are jokes in the writing made so the adults can get some level of enjoyment too. it’s got parenting lessons in a way that a lot of other kids shows don’t and doesn’t talk down to children in a way that makes you feel stupid for watching it, and i think that’s why its gotten so popular overall. parents / people who want to be parents are getting a laugh here and there while taking notes on how to not repeat their Own parents’ mistakes so its not a mind-numbing watch most of the time. that combined with the Real Talk shit like miscarriages and infertility puts it past the average kids show . that being said the only time i watched bluey was when i was bedridden with covid and wanted somethin wholesome to zone out to
@@vaya-dragon1998 It goes deep into personal topics like how it is to raise children, how to deal with emotions, along with infertility, etc. that's why so many adult also watch it.
Being the uncle of a 3 year old niece, I was subjected to watching this show a lot when she was younger. I don't hate the show but that theme song has been drilled so deep into my memory that hearing it again will send me into a Vietnam flashback. If I was being water-boarded, I wouldn't even crack. But that theme song would absolutely make me crack. Well, between that and the theme song to Cry Babies.
Ive seen Bluey with my nieces and its genuinely just a good show with good messages for children (and some adults). What sets it apart in my opinion is that it doesn't waterdown the message like other children shows and is willing to have 'actually' sad moments. Which help with teaching kids about empathy for others.
@PanoptesDreams The show is just really solidly written. It resonates with parents because it covers a lot of the issues and milestones that parents actually go through. Like what it's like to explain to your child that someone they care about is gone, or coming to terms with the fact that your child is no longer a baby, or creating a memory with your own child that you realize must be how your own father felt when he was there with you as a child. It's filled with very real, very emotional, and very cleverly written episodes that entertain kids and at the same time remind parents that you don't always have to do everything right, and you won't do everything right, but as long as you try, your kids will love you and you're doing alright. Even more than that, really. It's difficult to explain. Are you familiar with the game Unpacking? On the surface it's just a game about unpacking boxes and organizing a room. But throughout the game you learn all about their lives, how they've grown, their values, etc. It's truly moving and there's so much more to unpack than you realize at first. Bluey is like that. On the surface it's a kid's cartoon, but beneath that is a far deeper story with real emotion and understanding of what it's like to grow up and become parents. And this isn't just some fanboy ascribing my own feeling onto the show, this is intentional by the creators, and masterfully executed. That's why parents praise the show so much
Bronies are surprisingly not extinct. I was doing a layover in San Francisco and there was a massive My Little Pony event happening in the hotel and they were everywhere.
Yeah just I can't imagine how anyone could actually believe they just stopped existing or disappeared, they're just less loud and lurking in other communities/Fandoms.
@@kitthecat0274 This is like anime fans stop existing when the show they like ends. All that happens is that normies start interacting and complaining about the show/fans less.
Agree, including the fact that this was supposed to be a small local thing, not like a massive full budget event, it’s a small local hotdog shop, not a Burger King
Terrible logic. The restaurant made the event to get people to spend money. So parents planned their day around going to the event with their kids, where they would probably buy food and the kids could meet Bluey. Except there was no Bluey, so they just drove to the restaurant for no reason, their kids got disappointed and if they'd planned dinner or lunch at the restaurant it would be an inconvenience to suddenly change your plans especially if you live an hour away. It's basically a scam. Lie and say you have a Bluey to get parents to bring their kids so they spend money for food, but just get a trash Bluey and say it was "for free" so you're free of blame. Very douchy marketing. I have no respect for that.
As a father of a three year old Bluey is good for them. Also teaches you as a parent how to be more calm and not take everything so seriously. It tackles some hard to talk about subjects with your kids and will heal alot of the trauma you had as a kid too.
This is INSANE. I went to that Bluey event as a lark with my friends. It was more or less just bluey party decorations with 2 people in PJs and some dude was face painting some paw prints on kids. I just didn't think that the establishment knew how HUGE this event would have been. Just the amount of media coverage about this event is INSANE for what essentially was just a sub par free event for kids. Dirt Dog Hot dogs are hella fire. They have this one dog called the Elote Dog, and boy, that shit SLAPS.
My 25+ year old best friend watches Bluey, and loves the show. She tells me it's a show that's for both children AND adults to watch! It tackles real life problems and can teach younger kids about them in a soft and nice Bluey way. Like disabilities, such as being deaf and mute. Sign language being used in an episode, surely making many kids feel seen. The miss-carriage episode, my friend told me a little about it and how she cried to that episode, because it was so sad, how the mom was suffering from depression from it, then in the end, they show that it's something you can heal from. She showed me a clip, and although it's too childish for me to personally get into, I could really just understand and tell that this is a great comfort show for older people, parents, and a very understanding and mature way to teach kids! :)
Same. Had a friend show me a few episodes a while back, and sure it’s not my thing, but I can see the qualities you talked about. Plus, I also kinda like old sci-fi movies, and the creators love to throw in little low key references you would never expect. I’m pretty sure I remember subtle nods to Total Recall and Alien of all things. Cracked me up good and was totally unexpected.

I'm 25 and me and my girlfriend (21) love to watch Bluey and we don't have kids. I developed a chronic illness last year and I was struggling how to handle it physically and in a lot of pain and nausea. Bluey came on the TV in hotel we were staying in and something about the show is so calming to me that I was able to focus on the show and not on the pain in my stomach and it helped me tremendously. The show is well written and enjoyable for both kids and parents, I just hope to be a parent one day.
I went through similar health problems, for a week I couldn’t leave my bed and I just watched Avatar The Last Airbender… it really helped the nausea not be so bad, it was almost therapeutic
Can’t say I’ve been in those exact shoes, but there is something about when you’re in a bad way, physically or mentally, that some lighter and kinda wholesome stuff is just nice. I guess just something to foster pleasant thoughts and a feeling of safety amid whatever you’re dealing with helps the mind release tension, which translates to less physical pain. The Glitch show Sunset Paradise kinda has a similar status with me. When I’m well, I usually gear more towards darker or grittier stuff, but when I’m not, it is kinda nice to watch a few episodes and just shut everything out until I’m back to being halfway well at least. Hope ya can feel better! And remember that what matters is what works for you, especially with chronic stuff.
The reason why Bluey is so loved isn’t simply because it’s a kids show; it’s a kids show that is written with adults in mind, as the show dives into deep themes that older kids and adults can relate to while maintaining the kids show format.
The story goes that Bluey was originally written as an animated tv series for adults but was later adapted to become the kids show we all know and love.
yeah, like that whole mention of miscarriage? that's an actual part of the show. one of the characters can't have children, so i think she gets kinda sad around bluey as a result? i think she's bluey's aunt, idk i don't watch the show
I work at an elementary school and I have seen more episodes of Bluey than most people I guarantee it, however I had no idea this innocent and genuinely well written children’s program had this much controversy surrounding it, I don’t have a lot of free time to begin with because of work so it’s hilarious seeing this story, you made my day Charlie!
"Bronies just aren't around anymore" As a guy who used to be an assistant manager at build a bear I can assure you, they exist still. They always wanted to goon about the show to any employee that would stand, smile awkwardly, and nod
Bluey is a very well written kids show. It’s primary purpose is to teach kids life lessons but often times it simultaneously teaches parents lessons on good parenting, all wrapped into often very clever and interesting storylines.
I saw a post that said “Bluey fans when bluey trips on the playground and has to go get a bandaid from the nurses office” and I think thats pretty much spot on
As a new parent who popped on bluey, expecting another mindless brightly colored kids show with some basic "A is for Apple" type stuff... I watched it with my daughter in awe at how well written it is with duel narratives: Usually there's a narrative specifically for kids, very easy to understand, educational, "share your toys" type of thing... all the while in the background there's a more subtle narrative surrounding something like "how to teach your child to share their toys" designed for kids to not even notice while the parents learn how to better educate their kids. It's hard to really register how well written it is without watching an episode, but bluey is a cornerstone in our bedtime routine for our little one. I can't speak for those who watch it without children, because unless you have one or are planning to have one in the near future there really isn't much there for you... Kinda like watching a tutorial on how to be a parent without ever wanting to be one, but to each their own I suppose. As far as this situation at the hotdog place goes, it kinda sounds like a few employees wanted to do something to get the kids out of the house by hosting a free event, and had no expectation of how big it was gonna be, then got 💩 on when it ended up being way bigger then they expected. Sucks when things start with good intentions and end with drama.
I know some none-parents who watch bluey, I think its therapeutic for people from broken homes, it's more realistic compared to your average kids show so it is a comforting idea of what a good family could look like for those who never got to experience it
@@VaporwavesJK That makes a lot more sense. Even I get emotional watching some of the episodes thinking back to my parents/childhood, so I could totally see that.
Yes fully agree. Im not a mom but a new auntie and will very occasionally watch Bluey when I'm having a rough day or getting stoned. On top of healing my inner child, i have mentally set aside some parenting advice for when my nephew gets older.
I'm a single guy who likes all kinds of TV but Bluey just kinda tugs at my heartstrings a bit because its so genuinely wholesome with really loveable characters and great writing, often containing topics that shows I grew up with were too afraid to tackle. A friend of mine who has a degree in psychology and is working on her master's believes the reason why so many young adults like it is because it "re-parents" you, meaning that it teaches you things that most likely your parents never really got around to or wanted to due to politics, religion, or whatever else.
I’m not an American so I have no idea what you’re all on about. In my country we educate our children ourselves, because we have paid parental leave regulated by law (18 months for both parents, some companies even offer extra). Edit: I’m just kidding, we have Bluey as well (dubbed). I just wanted to boast about our parental rights.
Yeah the people who do not get that are the same people who don't have kids. I've seen alot of folks re-learn how to parent from the show and honestly I couldn't be more proud of them for learning how to parent in a productive manner. Plus it is something they can all watch together ❤️ very family bonding type sheit
I don't have kids and probably never will (even with the show giving me second thoughts) but I still love watching it and it makes me feel good, like I'm having a childhood I never got to have during my actual childhood. I guess the same reason people like watching superheroes and the like, they show us something we wish we had/could be
Dogs only see yellow and blue, Bluey uses extremely vivid colors in every color of the spectrum I don't know where this myth came from. Maybe just the fur colors of the Heeler family.
Weird fact for you all, I'm in an animation course and our lecturer apparently dated the creator of Bluey. It was back when he relocated to the UK for a while after graduating, they'd be on the same team animating various kids shows together. He's a very nice fella from what I know, funnily enough he used to have more personal animation projects that leant more into Adult Swim type content. Some friends of mine watch Bluey because from what I've seen, it is just a nice comforting show with well written characters, plus it's nice supporting smth a lot more genuine than shows made by UA-cam content farms. I plan to have it on in the background some time as I've heard a lot of good things from various folks ha! But yeah, wholesome show created by a nice fella, I just hope the fans don't get too crazy-

Bronies are still around, as an ex brony I see them everywhere still. I know plenty of people still in the fandom, making art, videos, and whatever for MLP even though FiM is over. There’s the new generation of MLP that has its fans, so plenty of bronies migrated to that. I will say that, with the closure of most of the pony conventions, things have calmed down. In general the fandom has tamed a lot, or at least I see less and less degeneracy from it as time has gone by. Kinda sucks that Bluey is now attracting the weirdos, it’s a great show that kids and adults can learn from. But no media is safe from weirdos and creeps, especially children’s media. These are wild times, folks.
Funny thing, a bit ago I was at a gym in vegas, and I actually saw 2 people in mascot costumes of Bluey and Bingo heading to the basketball court. They had pretty legitimate costumes to. I can only wonder what they were planning, or if they literally wanted to start ballin’ as bluey.
1,885 at time of writing… when they made the MLP comparisons I had to check, and at time of writing the “Bluey” tag on r34 includes 1,885 posts… The curiosity killed the cat on this one. I didn’t dare check to see what was inside but my faith in humanity has been shaken.
That kind of stuff is inevitable with literally anything, at this point nobody should be surprised anymore. Just ignore it and try to forget it exists 😂
Sadly, not every characters can survive from R34. If someone exists, then there's a chance that their existence becomes the sizable content inside people's pants.
I always found it funny that Media meant for kids always have the most chaotic communities, yet things meant for grown adults have yet the most wholesome ones (EX: The Loud House community & Breaking Bad community)
I've been watching Bluey with my almost two year old niece, and I've gotta say as an animator myself I'm actually really super impressed with the animation, the look and the voice acting. It's way higher level than you would expect, not just for a cartoon made for kids but just for modern cartoons in general. I don't think I'd watch it by myself tho, not because of any stigma or what random nobodies says on twitter, but simply just because it's still very clearly made for kids, the storylines and writing is very simple (Of course) but I highly applaud the team behind Bluey for the effort they put in (And the studio funding it) because they go above and beyond, especially for a kids cartoon.
For those of you havent watched Bluey, it is a family/kids show about a family of talking dogs. It is super wholesome and for me its a show of an ideal family relationship. Very wholesome and feel good show/ kinda goofy at times but very colorful.

Bluey is genuinely a really good show simply because it teaches the parents good lessons as well as the kids. All the drama with adults really sucks because it's a solid show.
Well most messages, some of it is just nonsense lol. The parents on Bluey are pushovers, but good messages are mixed in and I consider it a good kid show for parents to watch with.
I feel like this shouldn't be compared to the Wonka experience, since that was clearly an attempt to scam people out of their money, and this seems like its just a small town gig that got far more attention than was initially expected.
I mean, you're a parent, your kid want Bluey this and that and you see an ad for a Bluey meet day, you think it's going to be cheap fun day out and something official or at least competent. And you get this guy, this isn't even a Bluey thing, imagine this with Pokémon in the 90s, there would be riot.
Yeah I was expecting some like actual insane reaction but hearing "it was a dude in pj's" is just kinda deceitful to lure parents and kids out there. They want the illusion of meeting a character for a moment, not some idiot who can't even be bothered to hide the fact he's swindling children.
People did do this in the 90s, but thing is people wouldn't care as much. I don't understand why suddenly people have this ridiculous victim complex, acting like letting down their expectations is some sort of assault or attack. When a lackluster """"Pokemon event"""" happened in the 90s, people would just shrug and go somewhere else, nowadays, people act like they were victimised by a horrible, awful criminal trying to steal all their money...... Using an event that doesn't require any upfront payment. Acting like this was horrible enough to need to be featured in the news? It's ridiculous. And people comparing it to the Wonka fiasco are just downright stupid. This had no entry fee, only charging for the food you order (obviously). Saying they "swindled children" is ridiculous when there was no upfront cost. You don't like it? Turn around and walk out. Go somewhere else. You are not expected to pay ahead of time, so you get there, see you don't like it and then get to leave without spending a cent in the restaurant. It's not the establishment's fault that people drove for hours to go to a HOT DOG place. Do people not realise how dumb that sounds? These parents just don't want to acknowledge that they are thick as a brick for doing that, so they act like the establishment is horrible.
You laugh at the ridiculousness of it and stuff your face with food. If this is the thing that gets your knickers in a twist, your life is too damn easy...
I mean, imagine you have bills to pay, mouths to feed, a precarious living situation ... You take time you definitely have very little of and to do something nice for your kid. Then turns out, its this shitty onesie wearing dude wanting to make a quick buck, it's definitely going to piss you off. Not everyone can afford Disney Land, a free event like this is what they can offer their kids.
Watched one episode with my younger half siblings, and I was pleasantly surprised. It reminded me of what cartoons and disney/pixar/dreamworks movies used to be like. It's for kids through and through, but there were subtle jokes for adults as well. As an Australian it was also quite nostalgic as it's pretty accurate to how we live here (I also own a blue heeler dog), and the classic formula of each episode having a lesson was actually applicable to everyone, not just kids. What I don't get is why adults are watching it on their own, and even fighting over it. It's just very strange that they're watching kids shows on their own and making it their personality.
I didn’t know this happened, but as soon as I saw Bluey in the title, I knew it was gonna be something awful. Thanks Charlie for keeping everyone up to speed on the world’s most deplorable people!
and 5 mins later they probably acted as if nothing had happened. Somehow kids like to cry over the littlest of things, I've even seen a kid cry because her fork was 'dirty' with salad and nobody gave her a another fork for meat.
I’ve seen some episodes of it and you can tell how much passion the people who work on it have. The animation is great and the characters are really fun.
Bluey is a great show that covers mature family topics in very family friendly and approachable ways, making entry points for families to bring up difficult subjects and helps show parents different ways of dealing with children. It also displays children realistically, not like mindless little monsters and more like little people learning things. No cailluo tantrums or super long pauses for “audience participation”
Fandoms for more mature rated shows usually seem pretty chill, but fandoms for kids shows are like so dark and disturbing. And adults being fans of preschool shows in general is just weird unless it’s a nostalgic show that they watched back when they were a kid And I have seen the show a couple times because I have a toddler cousin, I found it generic and dull as heck. Don’t know what the fuss is about.
I’ve been a member of the Adult Bluey fanpage on Facebook which has over half a million followers. You’d be very lucky to find a disturbing post. Most of us are very chill
Personally as an adult who watches Bluey I find it educational! I'm not planning on being a parent but I am in a field where I do have to interact with/be in charge of kids and it's helped with some of the anxiety I have surrounding being in charge of children.
Bluey is strangely comforting to watch, especially for those of us who had bad childhoods and watch it to sort of live vicariously through the very good family dynamics that the Heelers have, and they tackle a lot of heavy subjects for a kid show that is for adults, it is a rare show that appeals to both kids and adults
It doesn't. This drama is 100% manufactured by the few and weird adults that like the show. They try acting like it's a bigger thing then it is. It's just a silly kids show.
I got 3 kids and put bluey on for them but end up watching it with them all the time. The quality is better then most kids shows produced in North America and the messages it teaches to kids AND parents are deep. I've referenced the show quite a bit to help my kids understand things. Helping teach: family not being able to conceive, parent quiet time (20 minutes), A.D.D and that I was once a kid plus so much more is really helpful. I think anyone should be able to watch it without judgement, it has so many beautiful moments.
This is exactly why the kids that voice Bluey have their identities protected. Ppl are ridiculous lol

That's actually a great point tho, like it's not bad for kids to cry, it's very normal
I don't know why some people forget this, as far as I'm aware a kid will cry if they get told no, will cry if they accidentally drop a toy down the slide, will cry if they take a trip, and that's OK, because then they can be comforted and taught about how why those things happen and shown how to either A avoid those things, B that whatever happened isn't a big deal, and that C sometimes you just have to accept it- (In reverse order of the things I mentioned)
I should know, I was a kid once xd and so was my sister, and my siblings.

- Beautiful animation

- Cute wholesome stories
- The Heeler family is super endearing
- Great continuity episode to episode in the background

The thing about adults watching Bluey...I personally don't have a problem with adults watching kids shows, so long as they don't get creepy about it. I used to watch MLP but I rarely tell anyone because I didn't want them thinking I'm a pervert, when in reality it's just that some kids shows have themes that resonate with adults too. But there's always the creeps that mess it up for everyone.
Exactly, I love wholesome cartoons. And then here come freaks, like the billions of other p-rn videos out there are not enough.
Fr, I like the show because it is a genuinely well written and acted show, with themes that are more mature compared to themes in other kids media.

What I really don't like about the Bluey craze, is the adults and parents obsessing over it.
We get it, you're all traumatized and need therapy.
@@PanoptesDreams"my inner child 🥺" 😂😂😂

As a parent I think everyone could enjoy bluey. Watching healthy parents as a grown up that didn’t have the best childhood…it’s healing in a way.
Yeah the people who do not get that are the same people who don't have kids. I've seen alot of folks re-learn how to parent from the show and honestly I couldn't be more proud of them for learning how to parent in a productive manner. Plus it is something they can all watch together ❤️ very family bonding type sheit
Go see a therapist good lord
I think it’s too boring. Danial tigers neighborhood or even caillou seem way better. (Not that I’ve seen them at all for the past 10 years.
I don't have kids and probably never will (even with the show giving me second thoughts) but I still love watching it and it makes me feel good, like I'm having a childhood I never got to have during my actual childhood. I guess the same reason people like watching superheroes and the like, they show us something we wish we had/could be

One thing I really love about Bluey is the colour choices. The colour palette chosen is based entirely off the colours that a dog can see.

But yeah, wholesome show created by a nice fella, I just hope the fans don't get too crazy-
That’s sweet
I haven’t watched Bluey before or even know who the creator is, but i gotta say it’s a pretty nice moment to know someone who knows someone big in the animation industry. Also good luck on your Animation Career

That’s every fandom ever though. It’s not exclusive to children’s shows. If something is popular weird people show up no matter what it is.
I'm glad you rehabed and got better.
5:21 Bluey is just a very good show which also uses classical music in some episodes. Beautiful animation.

That kind of stuff is inevitable with literally anything, at this point nobody should be surprised anymore. Just ignore it and try to forget it exists 😂

Well said
For those of you havent watched Bluey, it is a family/kids show about a family of talking dogs. It is super wholesome and for me its a show of an ideal family relationship. Very wholesome and feel good show/ kinda goofy at times but very colorful.

For kids ‘and’ adults. What could go wrong?
The best kinds of shows are for kids and adults.
Well adventure time is for both kids and adults and it's an amazing show
I mean, you're a parent, your kid want Bluey this and that and you see an ad for a Bluey meet day, you think it's going to be cheap fun day out and something official or at least competent.
@@UltimaKeyMasterHow is the guy in the Bluey costume swindling people? It's a free event at a hot dog store? Not fucking disneyland

Bluey is a great show that covers mature family topics in very family friendly and approachable ways, making entry points for families to bring up difficult subjects and helps show parents different ways of dealing with children.
It also displays children realistically, not like mindless little monsters and more like little people learning things. No cailluo tantrums or super long pauses for “audience participation”
but a grown ass adult shouldn't watch it unless they're sped or a nonce.
7:05 the one girl who’s just isn’t able to comprehend her attraction is awesome

Bluey is strangely comforting to watch, especially for those of us who had bad childhoods and watch it to sort of live vicariously through the very good family dynamics that the Heelers have, and they tackle a lot of heavy subjects for a kid show that is for adults, it is a rare show that appeals to both kids and adults
