Someone needs to tell Samsung that the sky at night is black, not purple.
Xiaomi 14 Ultra ♥️ Watching on it
xiaomi 14U this year doesn't have the best camera without updates to solve it, it's not the best
Me too 🤷
@arunraj.r6003 bro are you facing lens fogging/condensation issues? and is tempered glass available for this model?
@@mistertech332its the best
Bro from where did u purchase it?
Xiaomi looks more saturated and love it, don't forget about ultra raw, better zoom and clearly Xiaomi is a winner,in my opinion 😎
Xiaomi beating Samsung in most situations quiet easily here!!
Your reviews are much better than other big tech reviewers, they are slowly losing their mojo and sometimes it feels like they got promoted to bad mouth other smartphones! Big up my king 👑🔥🔥
Thank you sooooo much! I appriciate that!!! :D
Received the S24 Ultra today. Use the Xiaomi 14 and the Oppo Find X5 for photography.
Oh you got a few then hahaha :P Nice!!
At 1:56, this is why I believe we should urge manufacturers to adopt Xiaomi's approach with their Vibrant x Authentic mode switch. Samsung seems to aim to satisfy all users with a single type of processing, but as demonstrated here, Xiaomi's Vibrant mode-despite the phone being designed for photographers who might prefer the Authentic mode-achieved much better results for point-and-shoot, social media-ready images, in my opinion.
Yeah I agree! And Samsung just really need to work on their things fast, but also Xiaomi at the moment. But the Xiaomi for me has far more potentiol then the Samsung.
Xiaomi 14 Ultra has bigger pixels/faster lens so it wins of course. Look for bigger camera bumps for quality
Great review, having a 14ultra, and being an absolute camera novice, i would love a tutorial on how to get the best out of it ie pro mode. Also i would love to see how adding a filter makes a difference also, as i have the photography kit aswell❤
Hi Jermaine! Must ask you an off topic question. I have a Xiaomi 13 Pro rn, I mainly use the 75mm 'cause I usually shot portraits.
Is there a big difference between 13 Pro and 14 Ultra about the telephoto lens? Considering uprading
Honestly I would say if that is the main one you use keep it for NOW, right now it is sharper on the 14 ultra, too sharp, it creates a bit of an off look, as well as edge detection can be a bit iffy sometimes.
I think everything you said on samsung s24 ultra are true. I already compared my friend's s24 ultra vs my iqoo 12 (which is marketed as gaming phone, not camera phone) and while thats matter of preference, we both agreed iqoo 12 (for only the 40% price of s24 ultra) is superior in term of photography. Even my friend said that s24 ultra is downright inferior compared to his previous s23 ultra.
Keep proud on your great work and dont waver on any samsung's fanboy who attack you on comments, in fact samsung should listen to your criticism and do collaboration with canon, nikon, fujifilm or whoever expert on photography.
Always great to see some night shots it great work as always
Thank you!!!
Awesome video again Jermaine!
Thank you Barry!!
@@ThroughJermainesLens You are welcome Sir.
Great comparison! Xiaomi makes great camera phones! I hope your channel grows, you make consistently amazing videos. Subscribed!
Thank you very much for the kind words! and of course the sub!!! Appriciate it!
Great review, very useful example photos!!
Thank you!
Great video, again
Thank you!
Every flagship nowadays takes good wide and ultra wide angle pictures, in portret mode the differences are the background blur and color science also in zoom departament they are similar but what stands out the most is night photography where VIVO is the king their image processing is just on another level along with the HDR
whats your predference between the s23 ultra and s24u for photos and videos and better battery?
I haven't used the S23 Ultra so cannot say sorry
@@ThroughJermainesLens fair enough
Great video 😊🎉
Thank you!!! :D
Perfect review, was waiting for a decent low light test between the two. Camera wise the 14 ultra looks better imo, but my concern is the huge camera bump at the rear. How much of a nuisance would you say that this is, i.e. the thickness of the camera bump and also its diameter as well?
Mmmmmm well for me it is worth it, the sensors are bigger this means it will have a bigger and thicker camera housing for it all. And after using it for a bit I have mostly stopped noticing it myself honestly.
Abd thank you btw!
@@ThroughJermainesLens Thanks
@@dantom5232 No prob!
Which one you can recommend for camera between 13 ultra and 14? Nice video btw 🤍
depends a bit on the price difference :) I don't know how much difference there is between the 2 for you?
Which phone is the best between xiaomi 14 ultra and vivo x100 pro and oppo findx7 ultra ?
Wish I could tell you, but I haven't used the X100 pro nor the X7 Ultra Sadly :(
Can do a Vivo X100 Pro vs Xiaomi 14 Ultra compare video?
I am trying to find a deal, do not have the reach for vivo to send that one over just yet I think, and I am also in the mix of.. well soon the Ultra is coming...
So glad I sold the S24 Ultra... not much Ultra about it...
Sadly it is just the phone, when it comes to the camera just very disspointing
@@ThroughJermainesLens Exactly, apart from the camera it's great, software battery life and all, but man... it's clearly camera focused, might as well get the S24+ then...
The purple sky in night shots is still there in the s23u, but it's not as bad as this.
I was hoping to see a bit more night video test, especially to see stabilisation while walking but still great comparison…
That is fair^^ and thank you
Also really wish you had a x100 pro, would be epic to see it against 14 ultra…
@@saurav4180 Oh same! I have tried trust me hahahaha
Impressed by the Xiaomi
till a degree I am oo, it can capture really nice low light shots, BUT it needs work xD
Great review, be careful your volume levels varies a lot between clips
You mean as in the video recording in low light? because that one I kept that way to showcase the different between the 2. The others I leveled mmmm. And thank you!
@@ThroughJermainesLens Like at 10:51 and some other places, the volume suddenly drops then raise again at 11:40
I see what you mean, probably because I move the mic, I normally talk with my hands xD And a different mic I used before wasn't as good in audio, but probably would be more consitent in audio, thank you for the headsup. I see what you mean! :)
@@ThroughJermainesLens Thank you for the content !
@@MathieuTechMoto no problem!!!
When are you going to test the Honor Magic 6 pro
I send honor a mail, Hopefully they come back to me!
Samsung fixed purple sky with march update.. are you on the latest software..
yes
Thank you for making these videos ❤
XIAOMI flagships have had fantastic hardwares but the thing is they haven't been able to match the software algorithm with hardware so far, of course 14 ultra is a new born device and will be better on upcoming updates but don't think so they can do as good as it must be🤷, I think the best Android phone algorithm when it comes to this approach belongs to vivo flagships they've always nailed it to use all performance of hardware by software.
Right now based on what I have seen Vivo is the more consistent one! And it really needs an update for the 14 ultra to properly use the hardware, they can and have done before (Mi11 Ultra)
And thank you!
My phone is mi 11 ultra that's why I'm waiting for your comparison with 11 and 14 ultra😁, but I would say after getting a lot of updates still there are some issues as some examples they could have added 5x portrait so that I don't have to take a normal 5x shot and then add bokeh in mi editor, although the results are so good but that takes a couple of minutes to get a 5x portrait 😅 or in night mod you can't change the brightness but in samsung you can, or in night mode shots details not as good as 15 pro max with smaller sensor or at 5x night shots it can perform better by longer exposure but 1 second is too short or video stabilization must be improved I do remember it was better on miui 13!
I'm stuck with Samsung S24 Ultra vs. Xiaomi 14 Ultra. Which one do you suggest?
Depends, what is the most important for you?
Same here and I even have both in my hands and can't decide which one to sell. S24U is just an overall amazing phone, basically a laptop in your pocket. S-pen, dex, One UI features...it is just perfect...but the camera is terrible and in raw is even worse. Furthermore, slow charging is annoying sometimes.
X14U is a great cameraphone, HyperOS is super smooth (but lacks in smart functions, routines, automations, etc), smaller than the S24U and generally feels great in the hands (great haptics, great screen, vegan leather back helps a lot with the grip).
I'm super undecided. I care about the camera, but I also have cameras that I use daily so this makes me going to the S24U, but whenever I have the Xiaomi in my hand is just so comfortable to use.
@@NaiveBanana man that is a hard one!! I would ask you the question of making a lost like a top 5, put the top 5 what matters most of you, like camera, software and so on, give it a rating like camera Xiaomi 9 samsung 6 software 6 and 8 and then count them up per phone and see which scores higher for you^^
@ThroughJermainesLens I got to say that this was a rather useful exercise! I did it, and S24U won, not by much, but it did.
Still, it is not gonna be easy to let the X14U go, but I gotta say that the battery and lack of functionalities in the HyperOS are pretty relevant to me.
I'm not saying that I need all of the OneUI features, but some of them are part of my usage routine now.
Thanks for the suggestion!
Yeah I think that is the best way to decide if it is really close in your mind, but if it is close, it still sucks.
you could technically make it that the first one counts double in terms of points because that you is the most important!
And if it helps a lot in your day to day use, then the Samsung does at the moment sounds like the better phone for you at the moment :)
I would really love to see you comparing the Xiaomi with the vivo x100 pro
Trust me same!!!!!!
Fair review not like other content of other tect reviewer
Thank you!
cant say anything about X14 but as an S24U owner, it has got a TERRIBLE CAMERA.
i was inside the mall with proper lighting and it did not perform well
I'd prefer the Xiaomi here but after watching many Chinese reviews I think the Oppo Find x7 ultra has much nicer and more consistent lowlight image processing than both of these. Especially it's much higher quality 3x imx890 periscope is far better at night. It's also quite a bit cheaper than the Xiaomi 14 ultra as a bonus. Both 'ultra' phones in this comparison are a bit disappointing in terms of hardware upgrades from the previous generation. At least Xiaomi started with better hardware though but they could still have done more in terms of upgrading the ultrawide or telephoto camera hardware.
XIaomi this year has a lot of good compitition! I think Vivo might even be on top at this moment!
@@ThroughJermainesLens Yeah, all the top Chinese flagships are closely matched for cameras now. It's mostly down to style preferences. Seems to be no hands down winner amongst them
@@solas1183 so true!
@@solas1183 I went with a different approach and got myself an Xperia 1 V. It's a love/hate relationship, but regarding cameras, I have nothing to say. It's amazing.
@@tiagomachado5360 Nice!
It looks like the videosound from the Xiaomi is so bad..
I like samsung in low light.
Xiaomi 13 ultra or 14 ultra? 🤞🏻😭🤧
Pls moon shoots 🫶🏻
9:03 why is samsung purple
poor processing from Samsung, with these sensors we shouldn't have it, and even more so with modern processing. It can simply also be because of the white blanace Samsung is working with in those shots, but that again is related to the processing side of it.
@@ThroughJermainesLens thanks .wanted to buy the xiaomi 14 .its way cheaper in india
@@f1andcarcontent the 14 will do you well! Uploaded a video on it as well:) just hope they address the sharpening on the telephoto
Nothing new it always been the case with samsung. Always giving inferior hardware playing shot mexapixel games and trying to cover up with software processing but this time they have messed up with it as well. Also iphone and samsung always gives little change to generstions to generations and charging you a heck of a money. Xiaomi atleast trying to provides proper hardware and software leica authentic and vibrant and the pro mode with lots of controls to us unlike the other two trash garbages.
Anyways very good video. Looks like this time xiaomi, vivo and oppo giving a proper tough competition to this garbages and run for their money.
Thank you! and yeah sadly it is! the dumb MP race we left a while ago already, yet... here wer are again when it comes to samsung... But I guess they want to sell it to people who think more megapixels is more better xD
@@ThroughJermainesLens I think Samsung's targeting people who don't know much about photography and just want to upload pictures on social media while Xiaomi's clearly targeting actual photographers who don't always want to carry a dslr.
@@pranavmohite8544 Yeah that is really their target when it comes to Xiaomi, when it comes to Samsung I am unsure why they approach it like that. A real shame!
99% of the people don't even take photos and videos at night
@@MT_Real_ ok even if that stat is true, so?
So, to conclude, go and buy a vivo x100 pro, much lesser price and a sensible purchase.
bro i owe you an apology , i said before u r biased ... and then i used the 14u for 10 days ... sold my s24u 😅 ,, the camera is just awesome. ,, i have global version , my only complain is the battery is shit...
Hahahaha no worry!!!!! I guess you joined the dark side now? 🤣🤣🤣 And yeah battery life isn't great on the 14 ultra:(
@@ThroughJermainesLens i played alot and found some stuff might be helpful for you., for example the heif file format gives you a plain image processing without Leica signature (no authentic no vibrant) even if they were set to.
the vibrant mode adds a bit of sharpening its not just colors.
the metering Average vs Face under settings makes a huGe diff. in photo brightness.
the motion sensing option makes a difference if accidentally triggered on auto ,, night shots gets ridiculous fast shutter like 1/300sec and iso up to 12500 !! i make sure to switch it off and if wanna freeze fast scene i switch to Fastshot (its incredible) if freezes everything at night.
Portraits,, master portraits is the way to go the Leica portrait has a problem with faces and exposures
the camera grip ,, the shutter button if have pressed it focuses and TracK the subject if moved keeping it in focus !
i got an update .07 global version the zoomed in night shots are much better.
last thing,, i turned off Ai camera / ultrazoom ai and basically all ai stuff , it much better !
... beautiful piece of tech ,, thank you . keep up the good work 😄😄
@@ThroughJermainesLens
i wrote along reply and was deleted !
anyway, i played alot with the phone camera and got to some conclusions that might be helpful:
1. the Heif file format just gives plain image processing without Leica signature even if a style was selected vibrant or authentic it just plain closer to regular phone shot.
2. the motion sensing option if triggered it crazy increases shutter speed and may effect quality! i turn it off and if wants to freeze an image specially at night i use the fastshot mode ! at night it set the shutter to up to 1/500sec with 25000 iso and little to no noise ! how idk !
3. Metering if set to average it makes shots CONSISTENT,, while if set to face it's a miss or hit !
4. Master portrait is the way to go as the leica portrait brightn faces way too much !
5. the Leica vibrant mode Adds Sharpness to the image its not just colors grading and exposures !
6. in Video you can play UA-cam music and record a video , the phone will cature both through the mic ,, example play music over Bluetooth speaker and film ، it will capture both .., the option was under settings / sound
7. the camera grip shutter button when focus it keeps track of the subject ! without activating the track mode under settings ! this is so nice for walking subjects and pets
8. under low light or undoors with auto motion sensing kids/pets are perfectly in focus with no motion blur .
,, that's what i found after 10 days ,, Global with .07 version ..
thank you 🙏😊 ,, keep up the good work !
@@ashouhdy oh, remind me to read tomorrow 😅 in bed now 🤣
@@ThroughJermainesLens regarding the Vivo .., ,, i didn't like the vivo processing.. very aggressive, too much over sharpening & TONAL CONTRAST sliders are waaay up ! so i went the Xiamoi
Minuto 5:56 que diferencia a favor del xiaomi
We can respect it, if you're saying straight out of the camera. If we're talking all tools built into the camera I'm thinking samsung is another league , is that accurate. Just wondering
I think you're very biased. For reviewing it's better to stay more neutral and let the viewer choose instead of giving your opinion
What is bias about purple skies, the noise lack of focus? And it is not bias, it is a preference, my preference is Xiaomi but it doesn't mean it doesn't do anything wrong which i stated in the video. And while i give my opinion it is also a showcase between the 2 and you can give your own.
I don't think this is a biased review as the title itself is about camera comparison in low light - of course in most scenarios, X14U wins. If we're talking about the overall phone, then S24U is just a better choice.
Fake video. Both are the same photo, just edited / cropped to look different 🙄
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 sureeeeeee 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
samsung has more detailed photos in this comparison, also far better hdr implementation, however xiaomi has way better colors
sponsored by Xiaomi...
whuahahaha suureeeeeeee a 7.2k channel sponsored by Xiaomi, suureeeeeeeeeee.
I doubt a small channel like this would be "sponsored". But even if it was the case, Xiaomi's clearly the better phone for photography. So, the conclusion I reached is you're just a salty scamsung fanboy!
I'll be honest, the s24 ultra and the 14U are some of the worst cameras of 2024... they're both noisy, the colors are good, but you have to solve the camera problems with updates because I've seen that vivo's x100 pro outperforms the 14U in cameras but the killer is coming X100 Ultra
I have heard about an upcoming X100 Ultra, very curious about it! Hopefully I get the oppertunity to test it!!!
@@ThroughJermainesLens please test the vivo x100 pro!
