My wife and kids convinced me to get the red leather seats in my Stelvio and I’m glad they did! Everyone loves them and makes it special, IMO. Don’t be afraid of “different “!
Bravo! I find ~90% of luxury vehicles have black interiors: hot in summer, cold in winter, and slippery all the time. Screw that noise: get that red leather!

Nice review as usual. Probably for the best to ditch the track pad, but don’t be so hard on it. I have a 24 MDX and thought long and hard about the track pad issue before I made the purchase. I was pleasantly surprised that the learning curve wasn’t as long as I expected. In less than a week, I was 95% proficient; now, I’m at 100% and quite comfortable with it. I DITTO some of your comments based on my 22 MDX Advance. The Trackpad is awful to me IMHO. It does force me to take my eyes off the road to "see" where the Cursor is in AA Mode (I have a Android phone). I use Alexa for specific instructions (works very well for sending NAVI info to the MDXs NAVI system - I need to try Alexa commands while in AA mode!). I also use the Steering Wheel and HUD controls to a certain extent to make selections. Moreover, I still have NOT experimented with the ShortCuts Icon on the main screen. Shame on Me for that "failure". Mine is a NON Type S. The other problem with the TTIP system (Touch Pad) is that anyone who drives my car (wife, sons, etc) HATE that - have no clue as to how to use it!
@@Chiroman527The Type S Ultra with the massaging seats, ELS Signature and air suspension is sublime. I prefer the looks of my 2024. The pad is fine for Acura functions just not carplay. And the ELS in the Ultra is more highly rated than the B&O that replaced it. Maybe trade in your leased 22, on a low mileage 2024. To save on the cost of a 2025? Is the new front end, terrible black seat inserts, yuck, and touch screen worth the extra $10,000 of a 2025?
People complaining about the trackpad crack me up. It isn’t a problem. You shouldn’t be messing around with a touchscreen while driving. I drive an RDX with it and have not had any issues using it. It has worked effortlessly with Apple CarPlay and really all I use is maps and music. Siri works great.
I've had 5 recent MDX's including the 22 and 24 MDX Type-S. The trackpad is horrible, especially with CarPlay. I've recently also had an M2 and M3, the BMW design with a touchscreen and control dial is fair superior to the touchpad. Acura knows, they dumped it in the 2025 for a reason. The MDX Type-S is still an overall fantastic SUV.
You shouldn't be dicking around with a trackpad while you're driving, either. The more touchscreen-based crap they add to cars, the more autonomous nanny features they have to add to compensate for people's slowed reaction times.
I have a Mazda CX-70 PHEV in Premium trim; when in motion, you use the control knob (also has dual 12.3” screens), & only touch access to infotainment in Android Auto or Apple CarPlay (not the native Mazda interface)
I've had both MDX 3.5L and TLX 3.0T, the 3.0T engine does need premium gas to have that power and sound. The 3.5L engine doesn't have any noticeable difference between 87 and 91. But another thing needs to be kept in mind that now both 87 and 91 gas contains 10% ethanal in Canada, only 94 is 100% pure gas.
@@Simon-kz4dv "Recommended" means it's not obligated, maybe there's some unnoticeable difference, but I really can't tell. But TLX Type-S also says 91 Premium is recommended, and the difference is noticeable.
@@CocoaBobthank you for the explanation! In washington dc area, it is hard to find 91 gas, there is only 93 available. I am not saying 93 is too expensive, but if 91 is recommended, i think it is wasting of money put in 93. However, we do have 89 here Which is the average of 87 and 91, but I think the ECU will be acting if you put anything under 91 and cause the engine knock.
@@oldtwinsna8347 yes, I have a performance hybrid in my 2022 Mercedes E450 All-Terrain wagon, which has a 42V Electric system, with an Inline-6 Twin-scroll Single-Turbo. The electric engine provides the torque fill, while the big turbo is spooling up, and then the big turbo takes over once the engine gets to the higher RPM ranges, resulting in a seamless and continuous surge of power/torque, throughout the rev/power band. In ECO mode, the engine yields over 35mpg during hwy trips. What the MDX lacks is a smaller Turbo, alongside the bigger turbo (a Twin-Turbo setup), with the smaller turbo functioning in the same role as the 42V system in the Mercedes system, and the larger Turbo taking over at higher RPM reaches.
If you’re worried about getting into a cold car and cold seats, use the auto start that’s included in Canadian cars and it’s amazing! Unless your car is in the garage then not a good idea
@@chasetate7560 you do realize that 4 cylinder turbo engine in Lexus TX is T24A-FTS - which is inherently more reliable? Hybrid Max T24A-FTS in taxis in multiple metropolitan cities have mileages as high as 730k miles (1.168 million km!). J30AC Turbo V6 which is in this MDX Type S is nowhere near T24A-FTS in terms of longevity and reliability. I can understand if you are not a car guy and didn't know this.
Great Review guys as always...I can tell that you both really Like the new 25 Type S MDX. No Satellite Radio is a Terrible decision and a Bummer. Forcing you to Stream Sirius/XM radio? Notwithstanding that, it is "winking" at me big time. My 22 MDX Advance lease expired in August - I extended it for 6 months and have the ability to buy my MDX now at $38,500 - reducing to $35,400 in February - only 22K miles on the clock. Competitors I'm also Considering are a Mazda 25 CX-70 Premium Plus Turbo S model, and Maybe a 25 Kia Sorrento (fully Loaded model). When I was in for service a few weeks ago, the salesman was "luring" me to lease a new 25 MDX Advance - of course a bigger Monthly payment ! I saw a Liquid Carbon Metallic but with the Orchid leather Interior on the floor - an A-Spec Advance model. It did Look very Sharp - I agree with Andrea, the Red Interior would wear on me into the coming months! Yes, Flashy with WOW factor but I think it would wear Thin with me a little later. My 22 MDX gas been totally Trouble Free, just changed fluids as needed and nothing else. It has been a terrific Vehicle EXCEPT for that that horrible Track Pad (TTIP) - after 3 years I still hate it. In AA Mode it becomes downright Terrible - a SLOW moving Mouse forcing me to take my eyes off the road. I counteract by using the Shortcuts Icon, Alexa, HUD and Steering wheel contriols. My only semi complaint is the Brakes are little too mushy - albeit one will get used to it.
I would just buy it! I’ve had the Sorrento as a rental - do not recommend. The “safety” tech can be downright scary. And underpowered, plus KIA reliability long term seems to be a nightmare despite the warranty. I have qualms about the longevity of the new Mazda CX 70 engine and transmission. I’m giving them a couple of years. I really do like Mazdas but this is a big change for them in a huge, heavy vehicle. Disclaimer: we have a 2020 MDX hybrid (last year they made it) and for the most part love it!
@@jodi_caffeinatedyarn... THX for that User Info!!. I'm tending toward Buying my 22 MDX. Although I'm "romanced & tempted" with a new Type S (That's a Big Number at $76K !!), age has taught me that Novelties Do Wear off. The extra HP /Torque are alluring, but the MPGs may affect that temptation. I'm 73 , retired, and don't really need a 3 ROW SUV, but love the size and comfort it offers. I'm fighting the impulse of going for it as a "reward" to myself... My wife doesn't drive it - she's happy with her 16 CRV Touring. On the financial side to the equation, there is the argument that instead of buying my MDX, after paying 6 months of extension on the lease, lease a new 25 MDX (either a A-Spec Advance or a Type S) pay a higher monthly than the $610 now , But keep the Buyout monies in the Bank invested to offset some of the Higher monthly payment for a new MDX vs Owning the 22 MDX allowing me to consider a different vehicle in the short run. a New lease of course Limits that course of action.....once leased, yoppu are stuck with that for 3 years.
Yes you are right about the QX60, I have to say I am disappointed, I like the V6 powertrain in that model. Haven't driven the new powertrain in the 2025 model, we'll have to get that one to review.
I would get the Technology trim level. Everything you need, nothing you don't. All Wheel drive is a must. Is going to be my next car when my 2008 Acura MDX rolls over 400,000 miles!
I like the talk about the sound system as well. I know they came as a question, but please Include the stereo sound in all reviews. It’s kinda inconsistent. But I think this is just important. Nothing worse liking a car based on the review only to find out that music quality is not up to par. Overall love your reviews.
Really enjoy both of your insights, and knowledge sharing - Thank you! 2025 MDX S review, nice job! My wife and I were ready to buy the 2024 MDX S - until we test drove one with under 40 miles on it, and saw the finger smudges on the Black Piano (Know you to two too, were not fans:)!). We were 'ok' with that generations non touch screen, and both feel we'd have got used to the finger mouse know combo navigation. We were ready to walk, when the General Manager, who had spent several hours with us, as it's my nature, suggested I drop a few years and look at a CPO'd MDS Sport Hybrid Advance. We did, and after a long hunt, nabbed a 2020 that we are enjoying tremendously. 3rd Gen MDX's had the Split Screen combo, and other then non BT Apple/Android Auto - is treating us well. Rearview mirrors are easy to make comments after the fact. Here's another one that says 'Acura. You pulled the switch too soon on shutting off Hybrids!!! In 2020, our Sport Hybrid Advance - was Acura's flagship (Well, other then NSX...). Great comfort, good space, nice luxury features and a Blast to Drive. We have 'fun roads' that we never come out of Sport+ Mode on! And yet in Normal Mode, still a very poised long distance cruiser. Yes, the S - is faster, handles better, stops faster, eats more fuel doing so - and is a real value in this segment. We were OK, with the lower MPG of an S - and feel we're getting 95%+ of S performance with the Sport Hybrid Advance, and over the last 6K miles of ownership - our MPG is a solid 25.5... Even with 'spirited' driving at times! Would hope Acura is looking at a CRV Hybrid crossing back into the RDX. And really feel they should focus on Hybrids alone - over the next 10 years or so. Yeah, the ZDX should do OK - but frankly regardless of what Politicians have tried to dictate - the public is not ready to jump into full electric, yet... Sorry so long winded, but you hit my buttons with the S review - and feel we may have the same opinions on the timing of All Electric, vs a more gradual transition to that land... Hybrids rule! Best to you both - Smitty (San Diego and Yuma)
I'm in Texas, and for that price they should have cooling seats as well. It also shouldn't take that long for those seats to heat up either. If you had to pick between this one and the Nautilus, which one would you guys pick?
I wish they put in some better fuel efficient engines in the MDX & RDX. Apart from the price, do you see any advantages for owing one of these over the German counterparts?
Reliability and part cost is way better than the Germans in every way. Sure the air suspension will fail and be insanely expensive to fix, but it will also be expensive for the Germans.
I’d say this is a car you can buy and own for a long time relatively trouble free. With a German counterpart I think it’s smarter to lease. If you keep one of those for 8-10 years you are going to get into much higher maintenance costs.
so i own a 2011 MDX 3.7L Base with SH-AWD and 300HP standard engine, the engine revs beautifully even now at 120K miles, so smooth. sure my CD/Radio and Bluetooth do not work but after 13 yrs, i am not complaining. given i have an iphone and a portable speaker, i dont need to replace such an expensive radio/cd Bluetooth unit. What i dont understand, is how we are now talking about a 2025 MDX and the best MDX makes 355HP, which in comparison to mine is only another 55 HP. I test drove the 2023 MDX Advance, I was not convince on the power band of the new engine at the time with only 290HP and a 20 speed. The automatic 10 speed did not quick, felt a bit lazy on the road on normal mode. Yeah when you use the silly mode selector and you go to sport, the car feels a bit more quick and loud but certainly it does not feel smooth or luxurious. i wondering if the revise 2025 automatic transmission for the advance MDX has been upgraded, any feedback from anyone who test drove a 2025 Advance MDX. i am not ready to give up my 2011 yet, plus i think it can go a couple of more years, truly a low maintenance vehicle when given the proper care.
That's one of the things I don't like about this vehicle. With the seat in, there's no armrest. With the middle seat out, the captain's chairs aren't really captain's chairs because they have no armrest or special shape like in other cars.
It is gorgeous in reality too. My truck was written off with the hail storm in Calgary, we looked at this and the RDX. But the prices in Canada are just out of touch, I was paying cash and willing to go up to $70K. But these MDX models were in the $90K CDN$ range and the RDX was close to $70K just stupid money. Ended up with a 2025 Honda Passport Trailsport. The RDX I was told they’d void the warranty if I towed anything. What in the world is happening with car pricing 🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️
Same thing as with houses and everything else. Also economy in Canada isn't that great (I wonder what political party is responsible for that hmm....), plus exchange ratio is 1.3 to USD. That MDX Type S in states starts at $51k.
We have the 2022 MDX, and one thing I hate about that car is the trackpad and the screen that cannot be touched. I don't know how Acura released that car with that screen.
What a shocker! No more track pad. (Which has been the bane of my existence for several years!) I'm relieved, but probably am still looking elsewhere for something different and a hybrid with better mileage per gallon. Could they not have made this a hybrid?? I don't get Honda.
The S omits the spare but the other versions do get a spare. Those low profile tires are probably more susceptible to pot hole blow outs . I wonder if Acura is getting more feedback on this point ….
Please, explain why do you like that removable seat so much? Me personally don’t understand it. I prefer slide able, but usual second row with heating, ventilation or the variant Honda does with Odyssey. It is much more usable
I am glad the MDX continues to utilize a conventional style automatic transmission. I don’t mind the trackpad and the wireless CarPlay is fine for my needs. The third row may get used twice a year. There so many pluses that I would buy this vehicle again.
Not sure if the change just happened or not, but I was always a fan of the ELS sound system. B&O is so hit and miss in the cars I’ve owned. Very happy about the touchscreen.
Even when they are built on same platform, why MDX doesn't have good legroom in 3rd row? Especially when almost all mid size SUVs now have great legroom like Pilot, Grand Highlander, Atlas, Pallisade, Telluride and list goes on
Great review as always. With the 3.5TT engine, the better materials the Type S seems to be aligned with the Genesis GV80 3.5TT Advance. It's true that the Genesis has a smaller 3rd row, but aren't those SUVs very comparable? is interesting that you never compare the GV80 in this category. Also, are you guys testing the 25 GV80 any time soon?
I also hope Acura will make a Sport Hybrid MDX, the same fast or faster and more fuel efficient. RLX Sport Hybrid was brilliant, but had outdated infotainment system and interior and it was not the SUV! And previous MDX hybrid was not faster than usual one🤷🏻♂️. They should do it🙏🏼
Agreed big time. The MDX Sport Hybrid produced in 2018-2020 which did NOT sell well, would be a complete No-Brainer today! For an add'l $1800 (at that Time) it produced 315 HP / with circa 310lbs of Torque from the same 3.0L engine W/O a Turbo! MPGs were at least 30% better than the Type S and about 20% better than my 22 MDX (non type S). If Acura produced a 25 MDX Sport Hybrid in A-Spec model. I would Jump at it!
Nice reviews guys keep up the good work….in regards the heated seats i believe that is a setting where you can choose to have the heated seats and heated steering wheel work in harmony with the climate control. Simply shut that function off and you will be roasty toasty in no time!
How did you find the steering? We drove 2022,2023s and the steering seemed loose and non responsive. That and the piano black everything turned us right off and we loved our RDX!
How about an Explorer St vs the Acura? More power, similar features, etc…much cheaper. But, here come the brand snobs…”it’s not an Acura”. I own a Ford now. I had an Acura Legend Coupe back in the day. I’m fine with both.
If I couldn’t have gotten my hands on a Rav4 Prime at an excellent price like I did, the 2025 Acura MDX would’ve been my daily commuter vehicle. Yes, the Prime is a superior gas sipper and has 42+ of EV range, but I prefer the exterior, interior, and handling of the current MDX over the Prime.
I use regular gas on my Integra, so I don’t know why people ask. Majority of Acura models can run perfectly fine off regular gasoline. That’s the benefit of owning an Acura!
I like this MDX, but……Kind of stupid that Acura didn’t do second row the way they did in Odyssey. In Odyssey when you remove middle seat you still have personal hand rest for left and right seat. Also you can move seats from side to side. Also there is sunglass compartment with mirror to see what is going on at second and 3-rd row. It is also a family SUV, why not? It also doesn’t have digital mirror that will allow you to see behind when MDX is fully loaded.
No sat radio, just AM/FM like my 70's car. Don't have reliable cell phone coverage where I live. And it is illegal to use your phone to change channels while driving! I dislike everything about this MDX. 20.5 mpg real life driving country roads, no radio, no CD no options. Had to sell my 2018 under duress; major recalls, poor quality, forecasted catastrophic engine failure... bearings, crankshaft and more. No other dealer wanted my MDX with only 40k miles with so many recalls.
Please, explain why do you like that removable seat so much? Me personally don’t understand it. I prefer slide able, but usual second row with heating, ventilation. You have nowhere to put it, it is quite heavy. I’d prefer they had 2 variants to choose
I was confused by the portion talking about the speaker system. They said the Bang & Olufsen is the higher version of the B&O... But doesnt B&O stand for Bang & Olufsen? They are the same audio company. Just how B&W stand for Bowers & Wilkins. It's just a shorter or longer logo of the same audio company.
B&O is made for the cheaper brands and the full name is for luxury brands. There is a big difference in sound between both. But keep in mind that Samsung owns them with all the Harman audio brands.
@@josevargas1897 but B&O supplies speakers and audio for Audi, BMW, Aston Martin and Mercedes. So are you saying that Acura is a Luxury brand where as all those other brands are cheaper brands? If Bang & Olufsen were for the luxury brands and B&O was for the cheaper brands, than wouldn't it be reversed where Acura would get the B&O sound system and those other brands would get the Bang & Olufsen system? Acura for a long time has been considered the value luxury brand.
@@MatthewBaxter2010 what I’m referring is that B&O is their basic system which normally is used in regular brands, while the long name is used in luxury brands. Those brands will use B&O as their base systems while you they sell you the long name as an upgrade.
If you don't like the light, keep panoramic roof closed. Problem solved. Most people (probably like 95%) love panoramic roof, especially in a $90k vehicle. I don't think Acura will try to cater to those 5% of weirdos who doesn't want very specific things. It's like some people don't like music, but it doesn't mean manufacturers should have no speaker option in their trim lineup lol.
Same problem with Audi & Jeep- premium price and they leave the piano black in place. This is what I would look at everyday …..but not with Volvo,Mercedes, or Lexus- I just don’t get it?
Red is cool i find but overall i would have liked to see a more overhauled refresh, starting too look old news and i can’t see really a difference from older model. 90,651$ ………….. YIKES…….. way too much money, lexus is doing that too on their 500h (4cyl 😂) and 450h+(still a 4 cyl😂) im not paying 90k for that when i bought a 1.5 years old loaded, i mean loaded, x5 for just over 70k
Ugh, Acura continues to reduce choices for the Canadian spec model… we now only get black and red for interior colors and the saddle leather color is now no longer available 😞 And the new A-spec base wheels are fugly compared to the pre refresh style 😕
That's a very beautiful SUV whoever can afford that that's the best SUV to get don't even bother with any other company that's the best of the best it's too bad they're so expensive!!!
A friend has a Telluride. He loves it. Both are 6 cylinders. So good question on the big price difference. Guess some people still have more faith in Acura for the long term.
What added features? Palisade/Telluride has literally everything that MDX has: massage seats, V6 engine, plush interior, panoramic moonroof, dual LCD screens etc. Moreover, it's actually MDX that is lacking some features like: 8 seat option that Palisade/Telluride has, or blind view camera monitoring, or 3rd row heated seats (albeit in US only) and some more.
@@kenfrankel3498 I honestly don't think it's about "more faith for the long term", If anything, Honda/Acura is known for its transmission failures and engine dilution issues (thankfully not in this V6 engine). Palisade/Telluride, in this case would be more reliable in the long run. Especially given that Palisade/Telluride has naturally aspirated V6 instead of turbo V6 - which is inherently more problematic and will create more issues for Acura owners. I think some people go with MDX over Palisade/Telluride for slightly better handling. Is it worth to overpay so much money for that? Not in my book, but I'm not going to tell anyone to not waste their money. It's their money, they can do whatever they want.
@@fcex558 that's my question ...Why would I pay 30 g more for an MDX when a Palisade has just as many features if not more than this thing with no hideous red interior ...
I understand your point, but it's not just "features" you're paying for here. It's the drive experience. The Palisade is a beautiful family hauler. This MDX like Zach said, is the family hauler that hauls ass. Different animal, really.
Says who? If you think 19mpg combined and 17mpg in city on premium fuel is ok in 2025 model - you are out of your mind. BMW X5 i40 has more power, is faster 0-60 AND has 25mpg combined! Also if you haven’t noticed, read the comments, almost everyone is saying where’s the hybrid?!

Does it mean that "87 minimum, 91 recommended" is kind of bull shit in Canada?
Great car. I think the Type-S should have aimed higher when it came to the power/Torque numbers.....probably hitting the 400 mark.
Performed hybrid would be better choice to improve the off the line torque when fully loaded and improve mpg's.
I don't think people who buy this buy it necessarily to race it😭
Agree, I've had two and they are far better than the standard MDX models but having the power closer to 400 would be much better
The gas consumption unfortunately is very high compared to the competition.
Reliable V6 engine > Unreliable 4 cylinder fuel efficienct Turbo Engine
@@chasetate7560there are more efficient turbo V6 engines out there like the ones from BMW. I'm sure the OP was not referring to 4 cylinders here.
This is a 80k suv not compared with the 126k q7

For your consideration: The TX is still on a stop sale and the 2025 QX60 now has a turbo V4. Might want to take that into consideration!
TX production set to start again in Oct.
Yes you are right about the QX60, I have to say I am disappointed, I like the V6 powertrain in that model. Haven't driven the new powertrain in the 2025 model, we'll have to get that one to review.
3rd row vents PLEASE! Why haven’t they figured that out yet☹️
I would get the Technology trim level. Everything you need, nothing you don't. All Wheel drive is a must. Is going to be my next car when my 2008 Acura MDX rolls over 400,000 miles!
Woohoo! Was waiting for this one!
Amazing video Andrea and Zack! Also, glad Acura are elimating the trackpad - just like Lexus did! It was quite the learning curve for newbies
I like the talk about the sound system as well. I know they came as a question, but please Include the stereo sound in all reviews. It’s kinda inconsistent. But I think this is just important. Nothing worse liking a car based on the review only to find out that music quality is not up to par. Overall love your reviews.
Finally a touchscreen. Was it so difficult to move to the latest 19th century tech, Honda?
The annoying thing was they had the hybrid tech in their last gen mdx and all that has gone away. Would've been perfect
Reliability if a factor for you
@@FirstHillSeattleyes, very high cost for maintenance
so i own a 2011 MDX 3.7L Base with SH-AWD and 300HP standard engine, the engine revs beautifully even now at 120K miles, so smooth. sure my CD/Radio and Bluetooth do not work but after 13 yrs, i am not complaining. given i have an iphone and a portable speaker, i dont need to replace such an expensive radio/cd Bluetooth unit.
The best thing I love about this car is the back seat design
That's one of the things I don't like about this vehicle. With the seat in, there's no armrest. With the middle seat out, the captain's chairs aren't really captain's chairs because they have no armrest or special shape like in other cars.
No vents for third row either on this Type S
Yeah, prices are crazy in the States but not that crazy.
It would be great if there was a hybrid option.
Ich stimme dir zu mann
No trackpad. NOW this car is actually useable.
We have the 2022 MDX, and one thing I hate about that car is the trackpad and the screen that cannot be touched. I don't know how Acura released that car with that screen.
I would love to see hybrids in larger Hondas/acuras. They make excellent cars but no hybrid is a deal breaker
I wonder if Acura is getting more feedback on this point ….
it can see how happy andrea was when she driving typeS
Please, explain why do you like that removable seat so much? Me personally don’t understand it. I prefer slide able, but usual second row with heating, ventilation or the variant Honda does with Odyssey. It is much more usable
I am glad the MDX continues to utilize a conventional style automatic transmission. I don’t mind the trackpad and the wireless CarPlay is fine for my needs. The third row may get used twice a year. There so many pluses that I would buy this vehicle again.
Bright wheels! Refreshing to see on their sport model.
I like red interior if it’s deep rich dark red. This one looks a bit too bright and I’d get sick of it just like Andrea mentioned 😅
Not sure if the change just happened or not, but I was always a fan of the ELS sound system. B&O is so hit and miss in the cars I’ve owned. Very happy about the touchscreen.
Even when they are built on same platform, why MDX doesn't have good legroom in 3rd row? Especially when almost all mid size SUVs now have great legroom like Pilot, Grand Highlander, Atlas, Pallisade, Telluride and list goes on
I like the red interior, also tan/cognac would be nice.
We went shopping for new suv. After test driving the BMW X5 and Acura MDX, we bought the X5 and no regret.
@@AlDo-l5x did u check out GV-80 ?
@@Chiroman527I have one and we love it! 2020, last year they made it.

At this time Acura says, they are going straight to EVs with no offering of hybrids or PHEVs. Honda will be offering these powertrains.
twin turbos ouch, lease it, because RDX 1st gen turbo is $4700. Can only imagine twin!!!
Why buy one when you can buy two for three times the price!
What happened to SiriusXM integration??
You both look good and fit. Zack looks like he lost some weight. I’m on mounjaro, wondering if Zack is on ozempic as well? 😊
Just working out and eating better.
This vehicle is very ergonomic and great to drive.
I WANT THE LED FOGLIGHTS!
MUCH NICER LOOK....
ALSO BETTER VISIBILITY TO OTHER DRIVERS
Turbo charged V6 makes this attractive.
I use regular gas on my Integra, so I don’t know why people ask.
Majority of Acura models can run perfectly fine off regular gasoline.
That’s the benefit of owning an Acura!
One of the best in it's class!!!

What was the reasoning for removing the satellite radio from the head unit?
I like this MDX, but……Kind of stupid that Acura didn’t do second row the way they did in Odyssey. In Odyssey when you remove middle seat you still have personal hand rest for left and right seat. Also you can move seats from side to side. Also there is sunglass compartment with mirror to see what is going on at second and 3-rd row. It is also a family SUV, why not? It also doesn’t have digital mirror that will allow you to see behind when MDX is fully loaded.
Why is there no sat radio?
No sat radio, just AM/FM like my 70's car. Don't have reliable cell phone coverage where I live. And it is illegal to use your phone to change channels while driving! I dislike everything about this MDX. 20.5 mpg real life driving country roads, no radio, no CD no options. Had to sell my 2018 under duress; major recalls, poor quality, forecasted catastrophic engine failure... bearings, crankshaft and more. No other dealer wanted my MDX with only 40k miles with so many recalls.
i fill my 2015 Q5 with 91gas... the car runs better and i get more Shell points too!
Such a sharp looking vehicle
When are you going to review the 2025 Hyundai Tucson? 😢
I wish will bring back the gear shifter in the center console or the steering column
The push button isn't so bad, you slowly get use to it
My ‘24 is the most comfortable SUV I ever drove. Comparing to ‘15 X5 and ‘16 Cayenne.
Please, explain why do you like that removable seat so much? Me personally don’t understand it. I prefer slide able, but usual second row with heating, ventilation. You have nowhere to put it, it is quite heavy. I’d prefer they had 2 variants to choose
Are the quad exhaust tips real/connected?
YES
does anyone know if the 2025 MDX will need the timing belt replaced @ 7 year or 100k miles? Anyone thanks
Yes, it’s got a timing belt like all Honda engines
Is it available without the panoramic roof?
If you don't like the light, keep panoramic roof closed. Problem solved. Most people (probably like 95%) love panoramic roof, especially in a $90k vehicle. I don't think Acura will try to cater to those 5% of weirdos who doesn't want very specific things. It's like some people don't like music, but it doesn't mean manufacturers should have no speaker option in their trim lineup lol.

Not surprising at all. Sirius XM will probably not make out of this decade without filing for bankruptcy.

Same problem with Audi & Jeep- premium price and they leave the piano black in place. This is what I would look at everyday …..but not with Volvo,Mercedes, or Lexus- I just don’t get it?

Crazy competent Honda with their best premium offerings ever. Verdict: reviewers drive off with this one
Ugh, Acura continues to reduce choices for the Canadian spec model… we now only get black and red for interior colors and the saddle leather color is now no longer available 😞
And the new A-spec base wheels are fugly compared to the pre refresh style 😕

There’s this great thing called Google. I was able to see that it still has a timing belt.
Super red interia too🎉❤
EFF that! You don’t need a turbo. It just wears out the engine faster!
why are they not coming out with a hybrid? Have Acura given you any hint?
At this time, Acura plans to go straight to EVs, no hybrids or PHEVs will be offered. Only Honda will be offering hybrids.

Holy sticker shock ..Do you really get 30G worth of added features over a Palisade ?
No hybrid? 21" wheels and that will be $600/ tire if needs replacement
I wish I could afford one its a beautiful car
MDX doesn’t need hybrid, thanks for your review. 👍👍

Why is Honda getting away from XM radio. The accord and now the new mdx. Any reason why
Cost saving. Also, there are not many people use it to justify its existence. I don't use it either because I have everything I need from my phone
My guess is that XM made a decision to withdraw subsidizing the satellite radio hardware costs in these models.

Zach when will you be allowed to drive? Lol
Does anybody use Sat Radio anyway? Never used it in my Subaru and they pestered me to renew for a month after it expired! I’m good with music and Podcasts from my phone.
I use Sat Radio every time I drive my car. Granted, my Accord is a 2012 with less music options, but I really do enjoy the format enough to pay the stupid subscription for over a decade.
If you live away from cities or like to travel cell phones are unreliable. Satellite is the future not the past... Starlink will replace cell towers and cable in the near future.
