Excellent video. I’ve been using scooters for 20 years. Petrol scooters more than that. I have added a couple of e-scooters. The exercise and health benefits one gets is amazing. I’m 66 now. I bought my first scooter in 2000.

Xootr still the best! The goped is heavy, high off the ground, it will beat you up.

I've ridden several Xootrs in the past. For myself and many other riders, the handlebars are too narrow, at 12.6 inches wide. The narrow handlebars make the Xootr twitchy and unstable at high speeds. In contrast, my current Oxelo Town 9 scooter has 20 inch wide handlebars, creating a far more comfortable and stable ride. Other scooters have 17 inch wide handlebars. Xootr's design and speedy wheels are legendary. Unfortunately, the principal designer has passed away and innovation has ground to a halt.
There isn't an easy way to replace Xootr handlebars with aftermarket bars as Xootr bars were engineered specifically for their scooters. This leaves us with handlebar extensions and grips to make the handlebar wider. What solutions has the kick scooter community come up with to address this problem? Are there any handlebar extensions or grips that will make the bars wider? Please share your thoughts.

All valid observations. Installing a top-end Ergon high barend did help me a lot, although I switched back to a regular Ergon because I don't want to go that fast on such tiny wheels.

Issue with the goped is the deck is much higher off the ground which makes it tiring to kick over long distances. Xootr wins in this regard. But goped is much more robust! Have the xootr mg, Knowles and kickped by nycewheels. Love the kickped the most!

Thank you for this valuable input. Yes, the Kickped's sturdiness requires a thick tube to run under the deck. If I could redesign it, I would mount the deck to wrap around the tube in the center and have a low position everywhere else, but that's just my idea.

You removed the break and how do you break now? With your back foot?

@@captureinstyle there are 2 brakes on the goped. Front caliper and rear fender brake. Similar to the xootr.

@@captureinstyle I removed the front break from my Xootr and step on the rear wheel or simply step off of the scooter.

Hi, I appreciate the review! But would you say it's suitable for the skateboard park for tricks?

The build is very sturdy, but doing tricks with any device is always dangerous. Be careful out there!

Hello! Would you say the Xootr id good for someone 189cm tall?
