Really appreciate this comparison. I also used a xootr while traveling, they will accept it as a carry on as well. I was looking for a small scooter with air tires because I don't like the vibration and also the fact that if you hit a sidewalk crack the scooter with non-air tires can completely stop and send you flying. I tried the Razer air a5, but the quality was substandard, always had to jiggle it a lot to latch and unlatch the folding mechanism and the tires are super hard to get air into. Quite slow as well. In all of my googling I never found the 'Know Ped', thanks to your video I found it and ordered one. Very few choices for small air tire scooters, most of the options are too big/tires are too big.
The GoPed is a great ride. It is airless, but with more stability and traction. My Xootr is now 18 years old, and I am planning a video to honor this incredible toy that has given me so much fun.
18 mile commute everyday on my MG Xootr...it's the best. That GoPed will beat you up in 1 mile.
Holy shit how long does that take
about 1.5 hours @@User28276
18 miles in about 2 hours…all fun.
The Go-Ped was like a half baked garage project and lazy attempt at competing with xootr, which didn’t work as it was designed my a gas scooter company and is all but irrelevant these days as no one even remembers it exists from 15 years ago.
Hi, i just got a Xootr and its truly a piece of art. When it gets bumpy, do you mind or notice the handlebars gets a little out of line with the front wheel? Thank you for the content!
My next video will be on my 18 years with this scooter. It is a great ride, and the steering is very precise and takes some time getting used to. Same with the slippery, low rolling resistance tires.
If your scooter is coming out of alignment it just means you need to tighten the clamp more.
@@KandiKlover My initial post was regarding the clamp. My first Xootr was slightly used and the clamp to me was a little weak. Then, I bought a brand new Xootr Street and the clamp was perfect. I’ve tried all adult Razor scooters, A6, A5 and A5 Prime and I would still go Xootr. Xootr is still the best and I would buy only new going forward if I need another one.
Thanks for this! I've been looking into scooters and am torn between either a Xootr or a Kickped. Have you had any issues at all with your GoPed? I've heard mixed things about their customer service, but if it's really sturdy and lasts a long time, that's something for me to consider. There aren't really any repair shops near me, so that makes me kind of nervous if something were to go wrong. Do you think one is better than the other for city sidewalks?
Get the Xootr. Mine is now 18 years old, and I am planning a new video on the kick scooter subject.
