Tech demos is exactly what those mini modules were. In fact, everyone back then knew that the Wailing Death OC itself is also more of an in depth/advanced tech demo of what can be done with the toolset, than a fully developed/produced/written adventure that bioware was known for.
Ironically, I had always felt like the original story always felt like that. Not necessarily because its terrible, but because it didn't seem to reach the same heights as something like Baldur's Gate or Planescape.
At this point I believe the NWN fanbase has different expectations than rest of gaming. I talked with many of them and very often they seem like prefer to stay at their comfort zone.
@@hectorrodriguez9382 Quite the opposite. The rest seems to be part of Rat Race till they find "a Perfect Game". Nwn players have a strong community and that's more than majority have.
I don't think expectations are necessarily a bad thing, however. With some much to do, there is pretty much something for everyone. Long as it's good, given how much there is to choose from, it all has a place.

Can you blame us? Great community, great creation kit, great resources... I dunno, maybe I'm biased but I love this game.
