I still say this every video... How are you only at 154K? I just don't get it. This production value is incredible! Feature length films are often worse than Adventure Archives videos, and these are free! Great job again guys! Come meet me at horseshoe canyon ranch in the spring. Not much hiking, but a lot of climbing and great camping!
It is 1° outside and we are doing farm chores with frozen plumbing and cold hands and I just walked outside to my girlfriend carrying buckets of water to the horses and said "there's a new adventure archives! Winter backpacking!!! and we can watch it with coffee!" and it literally made the morning. Can't wait to tuck into this with coffee. THANK YOU!
I was at Zaleski the night that storm blew in and knocked those trees down about 2 months ago! It was terrifying. Didn't sleep at all. And then when the wind/rain finally died down at around 3 am, like 15 coyotes started howling less than half a mile away. A rough adventure!
Oh also, you can used vaseline jelly and cotton balls for fire starters. Make them ahead of time and place in small baggie. They work excellent and are lighter in weight.
I have learned all your voices, and I love your appreciation of nature. Even in the snow and wet you bring warmth. And there's nostalgic Adventure Archives music. Thank you so much.
I'm so excited for a new episode!! Your videos keep the fire alive during the winter months. Also, great to see Thomas back and the whole team back together!!!
Gosh...the quality of filming, narrating and overall story telling that has to come together for an episode like this is fantastic. Beside being an outdoorsmen, you guys are also some awesome content creator. Keep up the good work. More adventure in 2021.
Having watched this episode twice in-between other hiker/backpacker videos, I can safely say the editing, cinematography, pacing, music, and EFFORT put into creating a beautiful video experience, are all a cut above. We all appreciate the hard work of these personable young men. THANK YOU for taking all of us along for your adventures!
Here in the Philippines, most mountains here don't have switchbacks or barely have switchbacks at all. That's why we're used to climbing straight up and descending straight down. Sometimes, locals just add ropes to help you climb up.
Adventure Archives Iron Chef edition! 👨🍳 The winner, 🏆 Bryan "Morimoto-san Lin". That oyakodon was inspired! The aerial views of the snow covered forest looked spectacular. Beautifully shot with music that was enjoyable and on point. Shout outs were 🤣 as always! Well done guys! 👍
I love your videos !! I discovered them last year by accident. It was one of Robbie's ....40 miles alone on the Timberline Trail I believe.. ....one where he was by himself. Something made me click on it and I thoroughly enjoyed it. He kept referring to the other guys. I decided to google the adventureachives and up you all came. I was in heaven when I started watching. I introduced it to my 10 year old granddaughter when she came to visit me one day and she loved it. When she came to my house after that, she would say ..."put the boys on Nannie" lol. I usually save you guys like others do here .. ...just before bed ....for some reason ...it relaxes me. Just want to say ...love you guys and thank you for making these !!!
I watched this youtube channel recommended by my lecturer and it is really amazing. Your exploration of the Zaleski Forest starting from hiking, camping, cooking for up to 3 days is really cool and interesting. From this video, I can feel the water, air and cool weather. Your adventures give me the urge to get out and explore the wild. Thank you for sharing your wonderful experiences! 😊
Your videos have given me so much peace of mind and comfort over this last year. I have found there's few better backgrounds to working from home and managing my sons in distance learning than putting on an Adventure Archives video. So simply, thank you all for what you have provided for so many. And thank you for inspiring me to get back to adventuring myself.
Was literally thinking of you all today. Like, "what are the AA boys up to. It's been awhile. Might have to go hunt them up". Another enjoyable outing. I am happy to see you eating so well. That herbal tea looks so good.
For the structure you found, a lot of National Forrest were homes and land that belonged to people before the government converted them. Come across them every now and then in the Shenandoah and George Washington parks, pretty bittersweet to see them.
I am an avid Fourseason camper in Michigan. I know what that is like to be that cold and wet. I took a certain comfort in watching this from the comfort of my warm soft bed. Lol
Always super impressed by your musical compositions, camera work, drone shots and all-round good, clean fun! Congratulations on another stellar ep, guys! 💯
One of my favourite things about your videos is the music! It has such a nostalgic feel to it. For the longest time I've been trying to figure out what it reminds me of, and I've finally figured it out! It actually reminds me of Pokemon Mystery Dungeon music, which was one of my favourite games as a kid.
Love seeing ya'll enjoying and appreciating nature together, and learning about the local plant life and animals. I would love to hear more about the history of the trails you guys hit too. Truly great content
Hiking is tough process basically , but there are crucial things you find it worth doing . I do hike in Caucasus mountains which is very slope and it takes all the energy you got but even in that there's a lot to enjoy. I imagine how much time and power it takes to film such videos, you cool guys !
So glad you did another Zaleski trip. I remember watching your first one!! Thanks for sharing. One winter camping trip ... tale a few "Hot Hands" from Walmart with you. A couple in your sweats pockets or gloves as you sleep really help you stay warm all night!
Beech trees keep their leaves because they are marcescent trees - oaks can be like this too. There are various theories about why - you can look it up and pick your fave I think!
I enjoy these videos a lot. One of the features I like most is the bushcraft/botany/foraging sidebars. I also truly appreciate that you go to parks that are not "famous A-listers". It's womderful to bring attention to parts of the country not known for hiking and backpacking adventures. If these parks are not used, they will be developed and we will lose valuable wildlife and natural resources. You are showing people who live in those areas the natural splendors in their backyards. Not everyone wants to or can go to CA, Oregon, CO, AK. Another component is the comradery that is developed on these excursions. It's priceless. Thank you for doing it. You deserve much more recognition.
Thanks for bringing us along again. Even though it was a challenging one, it’s always nice to see how you all make the best of things. I was crying laughing at your post-credit roll. 🤣
You guys are terrific. You are so correct, it's been a really difficult past year. Of course at this point now I have hopes for a wonderful new year ahead with things getting much better. As you said there is light at the end of the tunnel. At 71 years old I have not been doing much this past year but widening my rear end by sitting on the couch. I live alone with my two little dogs on my farm in the East Tennessee Mountains. I can hardly wait for spring to get here so I can start my organic Gardens. I also spend a lot of time with my tent hiking and backpacking in the Eastern Tennessee Mountains around Tellico Plains Tennessee and trout fishing. Such a beautiful area. At my age I do camp with a few more Comforts of home than you guys. I have a Kodiak 9 by 8 All Season tent that will fit 2 full cots. I go all alone with just me and my dogs. I enjoy a few more Comforts now. I only have one lung left as a result of lung cancer. But I do well and still enjoy hiking. I just get a little more winded than you would and have to stop to catch my breath more often. But I keep going. I look forward to the bend of every curve on a trail to see the new exciting view that is around the corner. I love all your videos that I've watched and look forward to more. I think it would be such an honor one day if I'm camping somewhere and see you guys. Take care and you guys and your family stay safe and healthy out there.
Love your videos and I'm sure you hear it often but your videos got me into hiking when I found your channel and I'm just now looking into gear for backpacking so I can't thank you enough. Very insightful and I feel like I'm right there with some friends on your adventures, keep up the great work. I'd love to see you guys tackle the Adirondacks again
You guys should do a video of hiking Zaleski with the south loop as well. If you haven’t done it, the south loop is 10x more beautiful than the rest of the trail. Huge cliffs and awesome geology.
Always enjoy the music! The melodic guitar is perfect. We wait for these with baited breath. Thanks for doing what we can't do or do not have the time to do.
I love it when the whole gang is back together for an adventure!
I’ll just go ahead and admit that when I saw this on the UA-cam panel on the TV, I did indeed run through the house screaming like an excited toddler.
hahaahah
I’m so glad I’m not alone in doing that. 😂
I still say this every video... How are you only at 154K? I just don't get it. This production value is incredible! That is the coolest thing ever
The "okay, now that they're gone. Is it the Holiday Inn or the Hampton?" Had me dying🤣
Long hike+cozy fire = Zaleski Christmas 🎄

who else has seen every one of their videos?
Me, me, me, I even seen some of them twice!
I think I've watched a few of them like 20 times lol. Love these guys and their energy.
Meee! Love those fella so!
I am actually going to do most of the same hikes , this year.
@@ghostape6481 video it!
Oh also, you can used vaseline jelly and cotton balls for fire starters. Make them ahead of time and place in small baggie. They work excellent and are lighter in weight.
Love the camaraderie. Really enjoyed watching you making and eating real food during a backpacking trip.
This was healing. You guys are just genuine. So good to see you all back together! ❤️
I have learned all your voices, and I love your appreciation of nature. Even in the snow and wet you bring warmth. And there's nostalgic Adventure Archives music. Thank you so much.
Guys thanks for bringing us along. A beautiful place, good food and good ole boys without the bad language.
Who else wants to hear AA sing the BIG Rock Candy Mountain on Every Episode!?
I think you meant Big Rock Candy Mountain :-) Yes, it would be great to hear AA sing it again!
@@tracyy3531 Thank you, smarty pants! "BIG"
Cant say how often i rewatch all of these
When I grow up, I want to be like Adventure Archives!
I'm so excited for a new episode!! Your videos keep the fire alive during the winter months. Also, great to see Thomas back and the whole team back together!!!
watching this at 3 am and now I'm craving oyakodon (such a foodie)
Gosh, these videos are absolutely delightful. They give me Studio Ghibli vibes.

When the 4 of you go on a hike, nothing is more relaxing because of the comradery you all share. Its indescribable
Zaleski is where we go for a workout. The hills there can be absolutely brutal.
Used to backpack this area in the 70's... Went to OU in Athens.... Brought back a lot of memories
That back leg of the trail is super brutal in the summer. I refuse to do it ever again
can't imagine how uncomfortable it would be in the summer :\

I just love Brian in this episode 😊
Interesting that the places on your videos that I’ve watched are places you’ve been before and you got to do a do over together, ❤️❤️❤️ you’re blessed
My adventure boys are back!! We so missed you all!

Another precious gem!! I will never miss one of these episodes with the whole gang. Good times!
Nice to see that on every hike you guys find interest in what type of plants you see. Even in winter when there is nothing growing.
always enjoy the fire segments at 17:23
I always enjoy Andrew's botany observations... wish one of the guys would do the same with the geology
It's always nice to see you guys in my neck of the woods.
The very best part of your videos is the last part.
When you all get together for a nice meal.
The campfire scenes are the best. Epic!
I really enjoy these kind of videos, greetings from Norway!
Was literally thinking of you all today. Like, "what are the AA boys up to. It's been awhile. Might have to go hunt them up".
Another enjoyable outing. I am happy to see you eating so well. That herbal tea looks so good.
I swear the post hike meal and hilarious skits at the end are easily becoming my favorite part of the videos 🤣🤣🤣
For the structure you found, a lot of National Forrest were homes and land that belonged to people before the government converted them. Come across them every now and then in the Shenandoah and George Washington parks, pretty bittersweet to see them.
I so appreciate watching your banter and interaction. Close family and friends are indispensable.
YES! Best way to spend a snow day watching a winter hike because I'm not brave enough to head out in the snow today. Love your videos(:
I applaud you, Bryan. I wouldn’t be able to handle those steep inclines. Good job!

Another excellent Adventure Archives video from you guys!👍

Wow.. its morning here
Im verry happy to see you again team..together again...great.
Zaleski is such a beautiful park. Had the opportunity to hike there a few years back. It’s about an hour and a half from my moms

Rewatching it 😄 really love these winter hikes of yours. Unfortunately the remark of 2020 going down in history will be topped by 2022.

My Dad was a floral designer and took his 5 kids into the woods to collect Beech for his designs!
Living in an area in Australia that has no deciduous trees I am always amazed to simply see the orange leaves on the ground :D
So Wonderful seeing you all again. I can't wait to see your new adventures. God Bless and Love to you all.
I love the hiking but the ending is hilarious
I watch you guys to escape my stressful world...thinking hiking help me put to sleep
another classic episode of the AA crew; the winter hikes are pleasant and invigorating, making it an increasing favorite
I was exhausted for you guys just watching the last part of the trail, phew. 🤙🏻

The Daniel Boone National Forest floor in Laurel County Kentucky is so green, moss on the rocks and trees and many other green plants....so beautiful!
My wife and I just love watching your videos. Keep up the good work...
The most difficult trail I can hike is Old Mans Cave. Wish I was 35 again.
42:00 the prairie grasslands are that way as well, and almost more beautiful on a damp cloudy day than a sunny day...

YESS!! I live in Ohio so this was already one of my favorite locations you’ve done! Sooo glad you did another!! You guys are awesome!
Why is it during the “food crimes“ part of the video that I missed backpacking the most. I need to get into winter backpacking.
