I have watched every one of your masterpiece videos at least twice. I amazed how these videos are not getting the millions of more hits that they deserve. The hard work and effort needed to capture those scenes with the awesome background music is worthy of being on the Discovery Channel. Everytime I watch these videos I feel as though I am right there with you guys but thankfully don't have to be recording . I want to thank you Andrew, Bryan, and Robby for your hard work and sharing this priceless footage with everyone. As always I cannot wait until your next adventure!
megalodon1 Wow, thank you so, so much. I'm glad it makes you feel like you're there - that is our hope, but we're always wondering if we've really captured that feeling of being there or not. And thank YOU so much for watching! We will try to get the next one out in a (semi) timely manner! Haha, thanks again for watching! -Andrew
Yes, thanks guys! You're helping people like me who can't get out as much to see these beautiful places and I feel like I'm getting acquainted with you too! I like that you stop and give little informative tidbits about the flora and fauna and geology that you notice, and the comments about how it feels to be there.
"Interested people are interesting." So very true. Everyone loves people who have passion. Even if it's in something they aren't passionate about. It sparks curiosity, diversity, and our love with human nature. We are all wired ever so differently but we all can connect with love. Awesome video. Can't like this enough.
Okay, I have watched five of your videos now and I have to say, you guys have it ALL going on... You're bright, funny, and totally adorable to boot. I have been hiking trails for most of my 38 years, and have only just decided to start actual backpacking and vlogging my adventures starting this year, and you guys have quickly become my go-to for what I believe is the very best quality vlogging inspiration. It was awesome to come home from A Hard Day's Work, kick back, and watch another one of your videos for an hour... I also love identifying edible / medicinal plants and fungi! It's such a vital and fun skill to have!
I lead a scouting troop in my area, called Navigators USA, and my favorite thing to do is take them out with the help of a couple other cool outdoorsy people I know, and show those kids how to survive in and enjoy the wilderness... I'm thinking I'm going to show them one of your videos, just have to pick the right one! :-) I know they'll love it. Thanks for all the work you do on these videos! I know it takes a lot!
I sit here in dialysis watching your videos three times a week; they make the time go so much faster. Keep up the great work! 👍
I love the passion for the plants and fungi. I graduated from Hocking College's wildlife resources management program and I know I annoy my hiking pals with unsolicited plant and animal information. I live in Heath and work at the Columbus Zoo so it is really cool to see you guys doing local vids on Zaleski, Wayne and Shale Hollow. Your videos are well put together. I don't usually watch hiking vids this long but your videos are edited in such a way that makes it hard to look away. Great stuff!
expressing your passion for something makes the world a richer place...yes!!!
Great video guys. Red River Gorge will always hold a special place in my heart. It was the last hike I would ever take with my brother. I miss you bro!
Nothing I have experienced on this Earth tastes as good as Miguel's pizza with a cold Ale 8 after hiking. Nothing.
+Zachary Goodrode Yeah, that is some damn good pizza and soda. Man, making me hungry right now, haha. Thanks for watching! -Andrew
Zachary i second that
That is so true
Got my shirt on right now for dress down friday at work!
I'm hoping one day the bear says Yo Robby.
when Andrew talks of how nature teaches us about how we are meant to have a life of balance (and so many other motivational verses midst of most adventure archives videos) , i would like to see short cuts of those parts on your instagram or fb and make them accessible. i honestly want these stuff to reach out to more ppl cheers
That does seem like something that would be great for today’s social platforms! :)
As a KY native, I looooovvvveeeeee The Gorge 😍💕
OMG!!! I've watched so many of your videos. You guys just draw your audience into your adventure. No popcorn for me ... I'm eating trail mix while watching. Thank you for all your years
I’m glad you guys do your part in keeping the forests clean. That’s really great of you guys.
I am surprised, by the quality of content being produced here, versus the quantity of views. Keep it up, can not wait to get out this season.
"Expressing your passion for something makes the world a richer place"
Love your videos. The plant information is one of my favorite parts.
My wife and I both got injured last week on the AT here in Maine and this fine
production was good medicine while our bodies are healing so we can get
back out there before school starts. Love all of your work but this one is really
special. Thanks so much!
Scott in Rumford, Maine.
Scott Dunbar Thanks for watching, and hope your injuries heal quickly! Take care out there, knock on wood we haven't been injured really except Andrew slipping on that rock in Ep 1.
I am so sorry to hear that. Hope you feel better soon.
Just going to not beat around the bush!!!!! You guys Kill the game of hiking and camping videos... I always enjoy the videos very much. I had my life changed forever at Red River Gorge and It was nice to see your trip as well. Thanks so much for posting and I wish you guys nothing but the best ....
Brad Alan Man, you gotta share that story about how it affected you some time. I really feel like the outdoors is where us humans really belong. The whole concept of indoors is kind of ridiculous when you think about it. -Robby
Brad Alan And also, thank you so, so much! -Andrew
AdventureArchives No problem my friend!!! Ill keep a eye out for the next Kick a$% video !... All the best
Glad to finally see someone making bushcraft videos at my favorite camping location, you can see my favorite spot at 5:46, i've wanted to take the trail you're currently on in the video but haven't had the free time. Maybe i'll find the time to go in January.
+Nathan Deters it's such a beautiful place! That's awesome, is there a trail up on that ridge? The loop we did is definitely worth checking out!
I love seeing new people lean about the gorge, im a soon to be ranger there and its always so beautiful and perfect.
miguels and al8 at the end makes me heart eyed and hungry :')
the gorge was amazing and the miguels and Ale8 were a great way to top off a great trip :) ~Bry
You guys were sleeping under a tarp while there are copper snakes in the area? 😂
That's why i always use a tent. Lol
Haha Andrew's interest in plants is actually interesting
+SilentRager Shucks, thank you! :) -Andrew
Awesome, nicely done! I think that I enjoy your comradery as the best aspect of these videos you make. Looking forward to your next one.
Gary Steiner Thank you so much! Haha, you'll get to see Thomas in addition to the three of us in the next one. Thanks for watching! -Andrew
I've been watching 3-4 of yalls videos in a row.. Your subscribers should be shooting up soon! Especially with this videography.. and main popular channels commenting. You guys are creating good stuff. Keep it up!
+David Dunford Thanks so much for the kind words!
I have been there one time. Enjoyed trail at there. Very good place to visit, thanks for sharing your video, stay connected
The quality of your videos just gets better and better. I look forward to the Yosemite video. Awesome stuff.
+botanyboy1 Thank you so much! Hopefully we'll have it out shortly. Need more free time, haha. Thanks for watching! -Andrew
Thank you for your videos, it inspired me to start up long trails with camping overnight/few days! My first night with all the stars, warm fire, and owl calls made it a life long passion.
So true I love the words you expressed about balance and all of you said.awesome! Thank you again for the great video,Beautiful!!
I was there May 29 - June 1 and it is one of the most beautiful places I've ever been. We got rain two days and were pretty wet the entire time but still loved it and plan on going back. It turns out, you can scare away the Whippoorwill's by shining a bright flashlight in their direction until they fly far enough away that you can't hear them anymore! Another great video, looks like you guys are hitting all of my favorite spots in the area!
GeneralPreparedness1 Thanks so much for watching, and glad you liked it! We were worried it was gonna rain most of the weekend like it did in the Smokies for us, but we lucked out with some beautiful weather that second day. That's really interesting about the Whippoorwills, I'd like to try that. The sound doesn't bother me much, though, but I think Bryan had trouble falling asleep. They were really loud, haha. -Andrew
I figured it out my second night there after a very long, wet day while trying to sleep. Got frustrated and shined my light into the trees and saw it fly away. It took 3-4 flashings to get it to fly far enough away that I could sleep and never came back. I love that area though, we hiked to Princess Arch, Chimney Top Rock, and Gray's Arch in the same weekend.
I was hesitating of watching one hour, but man, that was an awesome video. Enjoyed every minute! Love your camerawork, narration, teamwork and music. I am so glad you finally got a good fire going. Amazing surroundings and breathtaking views. Next time maybe you would consider a mosquito net and a bigger tarp? :)
If I could have one little wish, it would be that you faded the music more while you talking. English is not my motherlanguage and it would help to hear better. Thank you so much for taking us along your great hike!
Gullrica Ah, thank you for the feedback! We'll do our best to continue getting the audio levels right. I'm always trying to make sure it's as top notch as possible, but sometimes we don't QC the episodes as well as we should because they're so long. But worry not, next episode I will be sure to at the very least subtitle anything quiet!
And thanks so much for watching! Actually, we ended up not being bothered by the mosquitoes too much at all. Which was a welcome change! -Robby
Long video for trailing. Enjoyed it. Several visits.
13:01 lots of my IRL friends ask why the hell I go out camping in wind rain and snow. I haven't ever been able to successfully explain why, but what he said here hits the nail on the head. Makes me feel a lot less crazy hearing other backpackers with the same attitude haha.
Also the ability to be comfortable with discomfort is like a real life superpower, and backpacking teaches it better than anything else i've ever done.
Yeah, you hit the nail on the head with Robby's quote there. Thanks for the reminder.
Last night we camped at the spot you guys came across at 27:35. It was an excellent night with clear skies and lots of stars. Two days of pure sunshine in the low 70s in late May was like winning the lottery.
Just beautiful! thanks so much for sharing this gorgeous video
Thank you all for these videos. Great job at showing the beauty of nature, and how everything doesn't need to be a competition, dangerous, or some ridiculous conflict. Very nicely done.
Thanks so much for your comment! You nailed it on the head. So glad you enjoyed the videos, and thanks so much for watching! Cheers :) -Andrew
I like how you guys were able to capture the moss covered forest. Beautiful!
Wow, this is such a good and well made video. Incredible job and looks like it was a great hike too. Thanks for sharing this!
Raising the bar in this continually oversaturated genre every episode! I wasn't plugged in for awhile due to insane work schedule, so I missed the opportunity to drop the couple bucks on Patreon...... but gladly will next opportunity, to help support you fellas see how far you can take this! If anyone can take it to the next level it's you guys! As always, looking forward to the next one!!!
BuckeyeHiker Thank you VERY much. I totally understand the insane work schedule, believe me. Thanks so much for the support, even if you can't do it monetarily, every view and like helps, so thanks a bunch either way! -Robby
It was amazing to watch you all explore the red river gorge. The music is amazing!
Fantastic!!!! I love watching your videos!!! A huge thank you and keep up the great work!
Thanks guys. So thankful the Dispatch ran the article about you. Just lost my job, 56 years old, OU grad, smoker, drinker.....this has inspired me to get back out there and embrace nature as we did in SE Ohio years ago and most importantly get healthy...! Logically need to start with Hocking Hills, right...?!
Mark - thanks so much for your comment! Really glad to hear you found us through the Dispatch, and that you've been inspired! Hocking Hills is definitely a great place to start. Ohio has some great state and national forests as well, which I imagine will be beautiful with the autumn colors creeping in. The weather's finally turned a bit cooler, and it's a great time to go hiking. Thanks again for watching! Cheers :) -Andrew
Have been there you all did it justice where the filming spoke the words. This place is a natural beauty that touches everyone who has been there.
+Tom Wells Thank you so much, that means a lot to us :) It's definitely an incredible place. Thanks again for watching! Cheers -Andrew
Just finished my 43 miles thru mammoth cave a month ago, I enjoyed thinking the guys on AdAr were there on that tree, or I remember that island from the video.... Thanks for taking us along on another adventure. You guys shoot some of the best videography on UA-cam, your music and editing are great.
***** Dude, that is so cool, I love to think that you recognized places from our videos on your actual trip! Thanks for the kind words, and please look forward to more!
Another great video guys! I agree that there is so much more to life and to understand that you need to get out and immerse yourself in nature. You quickly learn there is so much more than the daily grind. Thanks guys.
First video of yours I’ve watched. Great job guys. It rains on us pretty much every time we go to the gorge. Good times😄
I love the outdoors, I found one of you guys videos yesterday, and let me just say, you guys are awesome!
Very nice Videos guys. 👍🏼🌱🍃🌳
Oh forgot to say thanks for sharing all the great videos. love your guyses work.
Awesome video, as usual. I always look forward to your next hike. They are very professionally done.
+Great Lakes Backpacker Thank you so much! Hopefully we'll get the Yosemite episode out soon. Thanks for watching! -Andrew
So glad you went here. My buddies and I go here 5-10 times a year. There are some amazing spots. My favorite is a secluded spot on a river a mile off the rough trail, and someone used massive flat sandstone to build a sofa and chairs next to a stone fire stove. It's also perfect for rigging your hammock up over the stream. I'm not telling y'all where it is, so good hunting :) (Came back to my comment as I watched more of the video to say you walked RIGHT past my secret campsite. You were probably 0.5-0.75 miles away!)
You are doing great camping. When I watch it I really feel like I am doing camping. Keep it up.
Third video I watched from you guys, and I just want to say that y'all are doing amazing work. You've earned a subscriber!
Finally! I had been wondering where Andrew's knowledge of plants came from for a while now. I have been watching your videos for the past two weeks , and I just love it! Keep up the good work!
Thanks for making these videos! Just discovered them and I've been watching a ton. They're so relaxing and just puts my mind back in the right place. Noticed one of you guys have a sternotomy scar this video and thought it was awesome that you are doing this now after what you went through. I see people dealing with terrible things and losing time in the hospital so often and it's even more of a reason we should all go out and enjoy the world we live in as much as we can, while we can. That's why I'm working on going on trips as much as I can and hopefully can become more experienced with the outdoors like you guys soon! Keep on making these and having adventures guys!
Tim Lewallen Thank you, man! Glad you liked it! -Andrew
Been loving these videos ever since I found your channel! I haven’t spent too much time in KY but it looks worth the trip!!

"We would've had a feast!!" hahahaha
Nature portrayed in fantasy and video games (Miyazaki, Zelda, etc.) was a huge influence and motivation for me to go out and explore as well, really cool you brought that up.
I like the extended fire segment.. I've been waiting for that in these videos. You seem so good at it
I used to live in WV, OH, and KY and this was my favorite place to backpack. This is a really nice video! It makes me wish I had paid more attention to the plant life when I was there. Nice job guys!
I wish I could give a video a like everytime I watched it...I've probably watched this entire trip 5 times over or more by now. EXCELLENTLY made. That part at Hansons point in particular....breathtaking.

As a southern Ohioan who backpacks this place every time I can, even just the smell of ALE81 (the soda you guys were drinking at the end, it's a regional soda) brings back a flood of memories of the forest and a bit of a nostalgia wave. Glad to see you guys enjoying your trip.
Amazing video guys! The time and effort you put into each video is awesome and I can't wait till the next episode.
Will Wickham Thank you so much! Hopefully we'll be able to edit the next one a bit more efficiently, but we shall see. Thanks again for watching! -Andrew
