You guys don't get enough credit for your production quality. It is truly impressive and I haven't seen any channels under 100k subscribers with as much quality.
This is really what I love about you guys, you dont just hike, your voice over is very heartwarming, and it refocuses my humanity to things that matter to life. When Rob said, you need to warm inside to feel great outside, it hit me. Stay awesome guys!
I watched this over three days and was inspired to pack my stove and travel with my dog into the wild and stay a few nights in the forests. Thank you, guys.
Today I got to have my favorite type of morning: waking up to a fresh episode, and watching your amazing video while having peanut butter toast and coffee in my sofa. And next week I'm going on my first ever over-night hiking trip! Thank you for inspiring me to explore the outdoors and get closer to nature :)
The videos are never at the top of their game without Andrew and his plant and wilderness knowledge. Glad Andrew was in this video. I do agree your videos are the best on UA-cam. Thank you all for sharing.
Your videos continue to give me a sense of calm and escape from my normal days. Everytime I get the longing to go out into nature, but I'm unable to, I watch one of your videos. Believe it or not, at times I just listen to the audio while at work. The music and your conversations somehow help me focus too. Thanks for keeping your videos free. I hope to be able to help you guys continue to make fantastic content on Patreon soon.
Filming, editing, and music top notch. I’m more of a bushcraft/survival video fan, but your videos are always so well done. I hope the joe robinet collaboration happens.
I'm new to your channel and I'm very happy that you guys have captured the true essence of what it means to be outdoors thank you for sharing and I wish you much success. ..
Such great videos. You guys do so much to restore sanity to these crazy times in 2020. Your narration offers serene food for thought and your videos have joined our dinners at the sofa and computer screen many nights. Any time the world becomes too crowded with unimportant details we turn to your trips. You filter down to the contented zone perfectly, thank you. You remind us of why we gave it all up in the city and moved to the mountains of W. Md. almost 20 years ago.
I love watching your hiking adventures and especially this winter hikes and watching you all eating and enjoying your soup! Cold winter but looks to much fun. Thank you for this inspiring adventure .
all of the video, I really like hiking in the snow, climbing in winter together with the closest people my dream. The video taken from this channel really spoils the eyes of the audience. very exciting trip ❤
Damn I think I might have been out there the same time you guys were... I climbed up Spruce Knob and did 24 miles on North Fork Mountain in like 8 inches of snow... I still have trench foot from those 3 days... Monongahela is such an underappreciated NP/NF, as well as the rest of WV...
Great video as always - I can feel the wet cold from here! I used to live in the Appalachians in upstate North Carolina. I remember the deep snows and not being able to get down off the mountains until Spring sprang upon us. The Blue Ridge Parkway was a beautiful scenic drive any time of year but so dangerous in bad weather.
You guys had me at two and a half Asian type dudes out in the wilderness. It's about time you broke out the hot-pot gears. Makes sense doesn't it? There's no other travel, nature videos out there like this. Awesome long episode guys!
Came across your channel and been binge watching for the past four hours! Enjoying every moment of it! I think I'm in love! Thank you for sharing your adventures!
I am recuperating from surgery so I am getting to watch a lot of videos I missed. I have lived all of my life in WV and been to this area so much but certainly not in the winter. I love seeing people enjoying my state and as always I love watching your videos. This would have been right before Covid changed our world.
It's kinda weird but, after autumn, winter is my favorite season to hike and camp. Summer is actually my least favorite, too many bugs. Another great vid, guys. Glad I found this channel!
Absolutely love the content of your videos. Knowledge is the power of strength and I see this with every video. Since I discovered your channel I've been binge watching. Keep up the good work and happy trails to you
Andrew, your passionate interest in the edible flora and fauna is inspiring! Thank you for sharing your wisdom. Remember brother, err on the safe side always.
You guys are obviously intelligent, funny and ... oddly philosophical. I thoroughly enjoyed the video. Must be semi kindred ... I spent a good portion of my childhood in the Allegeheny state park and grew up in the Seneca Indian Reservation. (NY) Y’all rock on!
Loved the scenery guys. That's why winter is my favorite season. That 2nd campsite u guys decided to stay at looked like a firepit from the Shire. Setup with its own stone hobbit seats lol. Loved the trip guys. Stay safe and good adventures!
I like how you adjusted the intro to incorporate Thomas. Good for you guys because winter backpacking isn't easy. You always make these adventures look super fun even when things don't go as planned. Thanks for the vid and the inspiration.
My brother, best friend and I were just here, back at the end of June. We walked right past your 2nd camp on the Seneca creek trail. Great video as always fellas!
We'll definitely try to get out in the snow again! It's hard to predict when the snow falls unfortunately. But if you enjoyed this, you'll really like this episode: ua-cam.com/video/68jy3_ABvRo/v-deo.html
Yo I fell asleep to this and had an AMAZING night's sleep. Underrated if only for it's soothing capabilities. Also rack up some views while unconscious? Big brain.
Interestingly enough, rhododendrons are incredibly invasive in other areas (i.e. Ireland) but they don't seem to be considered invasive in the Appalachians! Anyways love the hotpot! I can't imagine hiking in the stove but props to you guys
I’ve always done only day hikes, until I curiously clicked on one of your guys’ videos which inspired me to go on my first backpacking trip. Now I have about 5 upcoming trips in the Sierra National Forest this summer alone. Would love to go someday with you guys if yall ever come to Cali again
And OMG the hotpot (huoguo) you guys had in the snow. Thin sliced lamb and beef would have made it like heaven.. I envy you even I am sitting in an air conditioned room having a nice meal right now
Squeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!! You guys always get 100% from me, cheers for the good times. I love how you guys eat, this way of sharing the same meal I dunno something about that just cool.
It's always so much fun watching your videos. But this one was kinda special as I laughed several times and I got a kind of feeling how much fun this trip must have been for you guys!
**drinking hotpot water** Robby: it's a metaphor for life. You gotta warm yourself up from the inside. I couldn't agree more with you. More people should have this outlook.
beautiful trip, Thanks guys. I was really struck by the beauty of your colorful backpacks & jackets against the white snow on your first day. Great contrast!
Loved this you three were brave on that first night glad the weather improved and you got a dream campsite love the insight you all have and the fun and laughter 👍🏻💙🇬🇧
Judy Springs, where you camped on night 2, is definitely super busy during the summer months. There are spectacular sites farther down the Seneca Creek trail (as I'm sure you'll see on day 3). If you guys ever return I'd suggest parking on the Knob and doing a Huckleberry > Seneca Creek trail loop. Parking at the trail head for Seneca Creek and trekking straight in is good experience as well.
Love the episode! I’m glad I was able to find you guys randomly (my parents had gone to Yosemite and I got curious and happened upon your Yosemite trip) and since then have been inspired. Usually I stay indoors and never go out due to anxiety, but I had recently gone to my first 8mile hike and met amazing people during it. It was tough but rejuvenating- and already planning my next one. Thanks for getting me out if my stump and being my inspiration! Keep it up! 👍
Another awesome video guys. I'm digging all the camera angles and variations in perspective - you all are filming fools. Edit and music superb as well, as always!
When I was in graduate school at GWU in Washington DC, we hiked there but always daytime. I wish I had my backpacking equipment to have camped overnight in winter. This was beautiful. Now I live back in Los Angeles, but winter snow backpacking in our higher elevations are awesome as well. We sometimes build igloos to stay in which is awesome too. Just takes time to build. That's the bomb finding sites with rock chairs, tables etc. But I wish I had done the VW hike in winter. Hopefully one day. You had awesome camp spots. Thanks for sharing.
Well done! Especially that hot pot bit. Hope to be out there like how you guys do on the regular, when I get back on my legs. In a wheelchair at the moment, and you guys inspire me to do better each and every day! Look forward to more videos. Thank you!
You guys don't get enough credit for your production quality. It is truly impressive and I haven't seen any channels under 100k subscribers with as much quality.
Such an underrated channel. You guys should have 500k+ with quality like this.
iknow right..
I totally agree. All of their content is fantastic.
The reason why they are underrated is the videos are lengthy so less people share this type of content.
This is really what I love about you guys, you dont just hike, your voice over is very heartwarming, and it refocuses my humanity to things that matter to life. When Rob said, you need to warm inside to feel great outside, it hit me. Stay awesome guys!

btw i didn't get a notification even though i useually get them for all your videos?
Thank you for, once again, helping to show the rest of the country that WV is more than the stereotype. Great video!
The videos are never at the top of their game without Andrew and his plant and wilderness knowledge. Glad Andrew was in this video. I do agree your videos are the best on UA-cam. Thank you all for sharing.
The production quality keeps getting better and better. Big fan of your work guys.
So relaxing-watching others put out the energy to hike in the winter. Thanks.
Love watching this in a hot summer day. It's so surreal and peaceful, yet visually spectacular.
This is too wonderful for words.
:D Thanks so much! Glad you liked the video. It was great to finally capture the full glory of winter on camera. Thanks for watching!
I Certainly Agree !!
Your videos continue to give me a sense of calm and escape from my normal days. Everytime I get the longing to go out into nature, but I'm unable to, I watch one of your videos. You guys are not just hikers, you are environmentalists, and even your philosophies are so thought-provoking
I'm new to your channel and I'm very happy that you guys have captured the true essence of what it means to be outdoors thank you for sharing and I wish you much success. ..
Thank you, I'm glad you are enjoying our videos :)
I'm quarantine binge watching and I'm so glad I stumbled onto this channel. Yall are such a cute friend group.
I love these vids.
The power of true friendship filled with memories to last a lifetime!! Good job guys!!!...You're an escape from the reality that's can be so cruel!
Such great videos. You guys do so much to restore sanity to these crazy times in 2020. I stumbled on this channel by accident and I'm so glad I did. Thank you for the quality effort.
I love that you guys come to West Virginia and make videos about how beautiful it is here. Thank you! Glad you enjoy.
Dang, any channel willing to go out in this stuff for the subs has my vote! We're all living the dream through you guys.
If you're only "living your dreams" vicariously through other's, you're just cheating yourself. A little food for thought. R
I love watching your hiking adventures and especially this winter hikes and watching you all eating and enjoying your soup! Cold winter but looks to much fun. Thank you for this inspiring adventure .
Excellent AA Episode! We really enjoyed watching this one. 👍👍😀 The scenery in the winter has always been my favorite. You guys filmed it perfect!
This is so relaxing to watch. Also fills me with this sense of adventure.
Crazy to watch this and see the exact trails I hiked on the same day you uploaded this! This videos are beautiful and I love the commentary!
a beautiful video, guys. The snow scenes were spectacular. Loved this!
I really like that line about hotpot being a metaphor for life lol "You have to warm yourself from the inside"
all of the video, I really like hiking in the snow, climbing in winter together with the closest people my dream. The video taken from this channel really spoils the eyes of the audience.
very exciting trip ❤
Great episode guys! Loved the music👍
Man I love chasing winter like that going from one temperate zone to another man that's so cool.☕
So brave camping in the snow! And it was truly beautiful >3
wow, the music in this episode is awesome, I think the song at the first creek crossing is one of the best you guys have done.
Another awesome adventure guys! Documented as only you guys can....OUTSTANDING!!! Thanks for always taking us along.
Great video as always - I can feel the wet cold from here!

The worst conditions make for the best stories, go camp anyway!
Came across your channel and been binge watching for the past four hours! Enjoying every moment of it! I think I'm in love! Thank you for sharing your adventures!

My new favorite you tube channel. Great content guys! 👍
Hotpot in the Winter, that's the best time for it. Add that to camping, that's luxury!
Spectacular indeed. Everything was perfection in editing, music, footages and the comradery. Binge watching here:-)
You guys are obviously intelligent, funny and ... oddly philosophical. I thoroughly enjoyed the video. Must be semi kindred ... I spent a good portion of my childhood in the Allegeheny state park and grew up in the Seneca Indian Reservation. (NY) Y’all rock on!
literally better quality than national geographic
used to go there when i was a kid, brings back some great memories.thanks guys♡
Everytime I see a new video from AdventureArchives, I drop everything to watch it :)
Looks soo good! Can't wait to go winter camping myself! Thx for the relaxing, adventures video!
Loved the scenery guys. That's why winter is my favorite season. That 2nd campsite u guys decided to stay at looked like a firepit from the Shire. Setup with its own stone hobbit seats lol. Loved the trip guys. Stay safe and good adventures!

I imagine it looked totally different in June! Hope you had a good time there, and thanks so much for watching! -Andrew
I really enjoy watching your videos while working from home! Keep posting yea!
Where have you been all my life? This is an amazing channel.
I love your videos. Quality entertainment. But it never ceases to amaze me how much stuff you all bring. Ha.
You guys deserve to be on Netflix or Hulu. so good
The most relaxing, enjoying youtube channel ever.
PLEASE do more winter videos! the snow is just so beautiful
We'll definitely try to get out in the snow again! It's hard to predict when the snow falls unfortunately. But if you enjoyed this, you'll really like this episode: ua-cam.com/video/68jy3_ABvRo/v-deo.html
Your best video yet! Thanks! Love the music and editing as well as the commentary
You guys are so funny and the editing, music and everything is so perfect!
Great episode! Totally worth the wait and all the hype. Makes me want to try winter camping so much.
Guys, you are one of my favorite channels on UA-cam. It's always so nice and interesting to see your experiences!
Yo I fell asleep to this and had an AMAZING night's sleep. Underrated if only for it's soothing capabilities. Also rack up some views while unconscious? Big brain.
Great video guys. The snow makes a beautiful trip but extremely hard. Really enjoyed it. Keep the videos coming. 😃😃👍
Beautiful place, really enjoyed it, and LOVED the music!
My mouth fell open that that cone looking thing was a cocoon. Wow! The wonders of creation!
Interestingly enough, rhododendrons are incredibly invasive in other areas (i.e. Ireland) but they don't seem to be considered invasive in the Appalachians! Anyways love the hotpot! I can't imagine hiking in the stove but props to you guys

Awesome as always! Winter hiking is not easy, especially this most humid one for many years in PA/WV area. Kudos!
And OMG the hotpot (huoguo) you guys had in the snow. Thin sliced lamb and beef would have made it like heaven.. I envy you even I am sitting in an air conditioned room having a nice meal right now
Cool, looking forward to do some winter camping. Good winter gear is so expensive though.
Very true, it took a while for us to really be 'comfortable' with winter camping because you need almost a completely different set of gear!
Squeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!! You guys always get 100% from me, cheers for the good times. I love how you guys eat, this way of sharing the same meal I dunno something about that just cool.
That second hotpot looked delicious, you guys had a feast!
Again, fantastic video. Thank you for bringing us along.
be still my heart !! i am so happy i found this channel 🖤
It's always so much fun watching your videos. But this one was kinda special as I laughed several times and I got a kind of feeling how much fun this trip must have been for you guys!
Awesome show guys! I've never been fortunate enough being in that area with clear skies at night to view the stars. Maybe next time!
**drinking hotpot water**
Robby: it's a metaphor for life. You gotta warm yourself up from the inside.
I couldn't agree more with you. More people should have this outlook.
thanks for creating and sharing... very inspiring to camp and soak up nature
10/10 would eat Adventure Archives Troll Hot Pot!
beautiful trip, Thanks guys. I was really struck by the beauty of your colorful backpacks & jackets against the white snow on your first day. Great contrast!
the music keeps getting better with each new video. kudos.
Oh; Andrew, how you speak to the soul.
That's the most special lunar year night meal I have ever seen. Fun to watch your videos and make me feel relieved from the daily life~
Thanks so much for your kind words!
Loved this you three were brave on that first night glad the weather improved and you got a dream campsite love the insight you all have and the fun and laughter 👍🏻💙🇬🇧

Finally some castanet action in the soundtrack! hahaha I do love the variety of instrumentation you guys come up with!
Beautifully shot, stellar story telling.
Thoroughly enjoy your channel. Videos are world class!
Great video, great channel, great guys. Thank you guys for all the great content.

Impressive video well made you guys deserve two thumbs up braving winters chill and great survival skills in the cold weather
Well done! Especially that hot pot bit.
Hope to be out there like how you guys do on the regular, when I get back on my legs.
In a wheelchair at the moment, and you guys inspire me to do better each and every day!
Look forward to more videos. Thank you!
Always look forward to what you all will eat when you camp. Especially hot pot, that's awesome.
Hot pot!! My favorite!! Love it guys! Excellent. Love the way you think.
Great job on this video. Enjoyed it thoroughly. Makes me want to hike this coming winter. :-)
i'm loving your "authentic chinese cooking on the trail" game. between this and yellowstone, next level stuff :D
