I’m glad the boys are cooking again. The freeze dried meals are definitely more convenient, but not as interesting/fun to watch than when you guys prepare the meals from scratch.
Isn’t anyone going to mention how random it was that they just found a single potato in the woods, when they needed a potato?! 😂 that’s the wildest thing I’ve ever seen! I never comment on UA-cam videos but love watching you guys! 😊
Thanks so much for watching and commenting! Haha the potato thing was really crazy. People keep thinking we faked it, but I don't think we'd be creative enough to think of something like that in the first place
There is a saying people hiking the AT, etc say frequently. It's "The trail will provide!" You experienced that with your 3rd potato showing up. So super cool!!!
I would have died if Andrew did a full description of that potato. "Here we have the tuber portion of Solanum tuberosum. These are edible. Boil 'em, roast 'em, stick 'em in a stew. You know, PO-TAY-TOES! ( a la Samwise Gamgee from Lord of the Rings.). 😁 Great episode as always guys! Thanks!
The third potato is by far the oddest thing ever. Most campers would not bring potatoes, and the odds they leave a potato to be found by other campers short one potato...🤔😅🤷♂️
So, I gonna say a few thing about you videos : The first thing I like most about your videos is the cooking adventure, because cooking with limited tools that you can bring to cook from home is not an easy thing, especially having to make a campfire from scratch definitely requires struggle but in the end, the results are not will betray you.🙌 The second thing I like about your videos is that I like that you pay attention to the little things, such as: it's very informative, there are funny moments, the accuracy of the cinematography, narration and soundtrack are amazing. This could be a very good example to be able to practice directly in the field in the future.👏 The third and final thing that I like about your videos is that every time you make a camping & campfire cooking video, it brings back nostalgia for when I was in middle school doing exactly the same activities as you guys but the difference is that it was a school event. Even though it was my school event, I was able to get the opportunity to enjoy the cool nature, enjoy being with my friends, and have an unforgettable experience.🌟
This might be my favorite video y'all have made. Don't get me wrong, I love the majestic and adventurous and epic locations and hikes, but this super chill, nostalgic(as Andrew loves to say) and relaxing vibes of videos like this is my favorite. A lot like the land between the lakes episode, which is another one of my favorites. And of course the creative campfire meals are another one of my favorite aspects of y'all's videos.
I recently moved to IN, after many years of checking out your videos on the gorgeous nature in this area I can finally check some of these out myself! Looking forward to it :) EDIT: Speaking of which, if you lot are every passing through Lafayette, send me a message and i'll buy ya'll dinner. I owe you more then the occasional patreon bump 😆
This is a nice reminder that you don't need a mountain with amazing views or a challenging hike to go enjoy the outdoors. It's enough if you can find some nature, maybe a forest or anywhere camping is allowed. Btw, I also like to have separate trips for when I want to hike hike and when I want to cook on a campfire. Sure you can do both, but unfortunately cooking stuff weighs a lot. One of the most memorable moments in your videos is all the cooking adventures for sure!
I've heard the saying "Nature will provide"...But finding a mystery 🥔 in the middle of the woods is really taking that saying to it's limits🤭.What's next a fully functioning kitchen & hot-tub?🤣👍🏻👍🏻
Wow,what are the odds of having a group of UA-camrs pass right by your 🏡 like that🤯?I hope you don't have to 👃🏻 a lot of farts from folks eating BBQ beans & baked beans out in the woods around campfires🤭.
Hello I woke up to your video playing and it caught my attention. I really enjoyed how you talked about certain mushrooms, finding a turtle shell, and about certain plants which are edible is so informative and it was so interesting to see how you cook up stuff at a campfire . Very nice job. Good good job with everything the sound lighting. Well you did really good.
The whole reason to be in the woods…IS to take your time and Marvel at what is all around you…loved this hike …and loved the way Brian slaps that guitar 🎸…you all make the world a better place…thank you!!!
with the direction you were going, the creek bed right after that rock shelter has tons of fossils and most of the logs around there have some interesting fungal growth
finding that potato I think constitutes unintentional trail magic 😆thanks for keeping the channel going, always a pleasure watching you guys enjoy nature
So blessed to have a nice long episode before I start my full time job! I also just started as a part time camp host in my all time favorite childhood campgrounds. You guys always help keep me grounded & thankful for the adventures life brings us! Many blessings to us all❤
Awesome as usual. I love identifying plants an trees an edibles . I’m grateful for all you guys do for us all. Deeply appreciated. Grateful, grandma deb & family ❤
every video I feel like I'm there with the guys - the quality, clarity, camaraderie, the lessons on trees/plants/mushies, just everything -- I feel like I'm there and I wish I was. Thank you so much for giving us a chance to hike with you even if we're not. Love AA!
Great Morgan Monroe trip, AA. Loved the beautiful carved rock cave which looks like what would be found in the West. Relaxing camping, cozy fires & good food . Thanks for the trip 😊
I was so excited to see that this episode was filmed practically in my backyard! I love all of your videos, but there's something really special about the low-key local hikes.
Thank you for this video !! I know most people want the views and scenery but I'll always love the videos where you guys just head for the forests and have a good time. There is nothing as peaceful and beautiful as wandering in the woods imo.
recently found this channel!! am about 4 videos in, and loving every bit of it, huge fan of Robbie and Andrew already! keep up the great work, and loving the bits at the end🤣
Morgan Monroe is my go-to place for an impromptu weekend overnighter... The Low Gap trail is really a hidden gem. Very much enjoy your content and fun to see a place in my backyard... As I watched I knew exactly where you were at on the trail ;-) thanks for sharing !
Well I really can't express how much I enjoyed this video it was so relaxing I am hoping that you do this style again. I do enjoy all the videos but one like this is very refreshing. Thank you. Take care
You guys are so entertaining! Love to see you cook out there, the potato find was the best. Most of all what I love about your hikes is that you take the time to notice the beauty around you. Thanks for sharing all the info regarding plants, etc. Hike on, guys !
Loved this video, with its slower pace. It actually made me think about taking a long, slow hike, which is all I could do as a senior with medical issues. Very inspirational. I love your other videos, too, but most of those would never be possible for me to take on. This much different pace opened the possibility for me to work on getting out on a nature hike. Also loved the serendipity of finding the potato. Sometimes, life provides us with what we need, as long as we keep our eyes open. Thanks, guys!
Sometimes those slower paced hikes are actually my favorite! I love being able to take in everything and enjoy the peacefulness :) Thank you for watching! -Andrew
I just got to the campfire cooking around the one hour mark. Very nicely done. Y'all are an inspiration. From the construction of the fire which was utterly perfect, through the baked potato, and then the steamed bread… Oh my goodness. Nice:)
I enjoy AA content so much! Informative. Fun(ny). Excellent cinematography, narration, and soundtrack. I like to see what you’re cooking. Gives me ideas a little outside the box. Thanks for you effort and dedication to the channel. Much appreciated. Also. I tell everyone I know about this channel.
You 4 bros are absolutely amazing I love your videos and your opening presentation, it reminds me of a show you’d see on tv. I would love to see a Switzerland hike or something extra special. Great work guys and keep ‘em coming.
@@AdventureArchives I’ve been wanting to hike black canyon at gunnison in Colorado. That would also be a nice episode to give people a view of that place and what if offers.
Hey Andrew, thanks for the selfie at the Zaleski trail parking lot! Hope you make it to Alaska someday. It would make for some amazing hiking videos, I promise. I can ask my family and friends to show you the hiking trails!
Finally a new video!!! Have to say you guys make the best content out there, i like the mix of culture and different skill set you guys show. To sum it up in one word…. Subarashii 🎉
great video guys!!! I'm a hiker myself. I do a lot of hiking at burr oak SP (near wild cat hollow). I really like how you explain the types of plants and biodiversity you encounter. keep up the good work.
Hiking is far more rewarding when you can identify the rocks, landforms, type of stream, history, ecology, plants and animals. It’s like hiking with old friends.
loved the video like always your guys chemistry is definitely a chill vibe and always admire the time time it takes to edit these videos, absolutely amazing
Yes get out of the daily routine and be with your friends and enjoy nature . . . that’s exactly I intend to do. . . leisurely!! Thank you for the video
1:16----I love Robbie's King of the Hill quote. At first I thought it sounded like Billy Bob, but I looked it up, and though I don't remember it I can totally see that with that character. I love quotes man, nice
great video! ❤❤❤ i really enjoyed the gourmet cooking over the campfire..i appreciate the planning that must have gone into that as well as the extra weight you had to carry to bring it all in the woods... that potatoe story is one for the books! have an awesome week guys
Love this so much!!! Nice to watch you again Love the music, thank you so much for the information about everything I need to know about hiking & camping, More power!!!
I'm so happy to finally see another video of Adventure Archives. I actually thought I wouldn't get to see you guys again on UA-cam because I don't have the necessary funds to watch your videos on Patreon. At least I had the pleasure to enjoy this video here on UA-cam. Thank you so much for making your videos so much fun to watch and learn. Keep the vision alive!
Oh my god! At 57:35.. The stones and the potato on the log. I think it might be a sasquatch offerings area. Now they are going to think a sasquatch took the potato >< hahahah :D
what a great woods adventure, it's shows a lot of lesson for me like a friendships, solidarity, survival adventure, cinematic, calm vibes, etc. I'm really enjoy this video, i would like to watch some kind of this video! ofc on this channel, keep it up!
Omg. Low Gap. I grew up about 15/20 min from that trailhead. I've hiked that trail at least half a dozen times. I camped there more times than I can count. So cool to see it shown on a fantastic UA-cam channel as this. If you guys ever find yourselves in Indiana again you should check out Brown County State Park and the trails out there. A fantastic place for hiking in the area.
Nice to see you guys cooking again! Curious though, is there a filipino store near you? Haha. I asked because the Macapuno and Ube are filipino delicacies and you also mentioned Halo Halo.

2nd that 👍👍
TRUE!
Agreed. The food scenes are what originally got me hooked on this channel in 2017
The hotpot is absolutely the best idea so far… the dehydrated vegetables and everything would be perfect on a cold winter camp out.
I could watch you guys hike through a Wal-Mart. Always entertaining, informative, and beautifully produced. Bravo!
Hmmm, this sounds like an April fools joke waiting to happen.

@Adam K how about Safeway?
Great comment! Totally agree. Maybe even an IKEA day hike?? 😂

yall should have a shirt made, "That's a potato!"
Robby's reaction legit made me smile big. love it
There is a saying people hiking the AT, etc say frequently. It's "The trail will provide!" You experienced that with your 3rd potato showing up. So super cool!!!
Great video. That potato is the true meaning of trail magic. Waiting for the next adventure. Excellent job as always.
Keep the dream alive ! Adventure on with great friendships !
It's so nice to be on the trails now, knowing exactly what a particular mushroom 🍄 or fungi is. Thanks, Andrew.
Thank you for watching! Glad it helps :) -Andrew
Andrew, Thank you for identify the tree's! I know others who are really looking for tree identification!!!
Robby, your shout-out acting keeps getting better and better. I wanted to keep watching that sequence 😄

ancient mystical american potato fairies well known to europes but just being found again by the natives.
