Just wanted to let you know that watching this video was the inspiration for me to update my backpacking kit and take my first back country trip since around 1982. In fact my friend George and I recreated your trip. We spend Mother’s Day weekend on the Wild Cat and Swift Camp trails. As the weekend forecast was also kind of iffy, we think we may have been the only one’s camping in the Cliffy Wilderness Area that weekend. Only after returning from the trip did I realize we stayed at the same creek side camp site you stayed at on your second night. We found another incredibly nice site our second night. Your videos are so wonderful in that they invite us all the enjoy the experience not just beat out the miles or show off some collection of gear. The experience of challenge, endured with laughter of friendship, is what makes such adventures great.
There is something about watching people share food, like the process of cooking something and handing it to someone is just hard to put into words for me. 41:36 was awesome
You make timeless videos. I love to binge your episodes. I love that I can always learn something new by watching them and I love the amazing production quality. It’s apparent that you guys put a lot of time and effort into your videos and I can’t thank you enough. I hope you guys never quit cause I am obsessed! You guys help so many more people than you probably know ... watching your videos has really helped me and my depression/ anxiety and I hope you know how blessed I feel that you share your gifts and talents with the world. God bless you guys!
This episode quickly became one of my faves! I loved the storm, the food, the amazing views, and the hysterical "burger-wraith" story at the end!! You guys are great!!
I cant wait to start purchasing my backpacking kits for my family and myself! I wanted to know where do you read up on all the plant knowledge? Anywhere specific you recommend?
All I Got to say is Thank you. I Really enjoy all your videos. I have had 5 surgeries with in the last year and a half thats kept me from enjoying the out doors, After watching your vids, You all are a inspiration. I am going to start getting back into hiking and bushcraft. So Thank you all for the videos
Love how y'all embrace all kinds of different circumstances!! Really nice to see young people loving and living life to the fullest!! Thanks for sharing!!
me and my brother always come back to the Thunderdome and the bug-infested Shawnee episodes for a laugh all the time; never a dull moment with you haha
BREATHTAKING VIEWS COLORS BEAUTY SCENERY &VIDEO ! GORGEOUS CAMPSITES & LOVED THE ROCKS & CREEK / STREAMS TOO ! THANK YOU FOR LETTING ME TAG ALONG WITH YOU ON YOUR JOURNEYS ! BE SAFE ! HAVE FUN ! GOD BLESS YOU ALL ALWAYS ON YOUR JOURNEYS ! ENJOYED !
I am sick, down with the flu. I have been watching houuuurs of this to get motivated and feel inspired. Pout.. pout... i finished watching it all... omg. Woke up to new release! ,! Super, gonna start right away
That was so much fun, watched the red river episode yesterday and then to get this one. That campsite was so good! The food looked like it was delicious. A nice reward after hiking for so long. Thank you for making the video and sharing
No matter how many times you guys include the time lapse of the night sky, I will never get tired of watching it. I might have said this before, but I am a bit envious of the fungal life you gents find. Not so jealous of all the rain you seem to get caught in. Can't have the good without the bad though I suppose.
We used to hike into Linville Gorge, NC at night and in the summer there was a lot of glow-in-the dark insects and fungi off the trail. Hiking at night is under rated. Another enjoyable video.
An often overlooked beauty of Kentucky is Cumberland Gap National Park, it is like a 20+ miles of a thru-hike with so many great destinations. The White Rocks, Sand Cave, Hensley Settlement, Skylight Cave, Gap Cave, Pinnacle Overlook, etc. You all should check it out! Would be happy to get you all some info as I have hiked it a few times now. Loving the channel!
I want to thank you for all your videos. I am a 72 year old disabled senior, and I feel like I am out with you. My seeing impaired daughter enjoys them also. Please make more I am running out of ones to watch. Thanks again,
I've went straight up and down with friends after it rained and swam in the river for a bath the day after. It was great now I plan on going almost every weekend with my brother
in the Army we dug a trench around our tent to catch and reroute water. we put the dirt we dug up on the edges of out tent to discourage the entry of bugs, snakes vermin.
This is a great video. Those night shots are so dope! The song with the slow shot at the end is one of the highlight! Your contenant, you skills and creativity make us enjoy so much. Nice job. - Montréal, Canada
Here is south Alabama and the Panhandle of Florida, we call "fat wood", "Light'erd Knot". It is abundant in our Pine Forest. It comes from old dead pine trees where the sap has settled in certain parts and almost crystallized. An old pine tree stump is the best! No matter how wet it is, it will easily catch fire. One can build a fire in a mud puddle with "Lighter'ed Knot". LOL Good luck on future trips! Keep up the good work.
I like that you guys really focused on the little things and the idea of embracing all that you encounter regardless if its pain or pleasure because that what being human is about. This is a great attitude. Also the words of wisdom regarding community at the end were a great way to finish.
There's lot of life's lesson to be learned from this video (from every single video of this channel actually)...thank you guys for sharing your passion and all your great works with us...go Team AA!!!
I would've used the raincoats as an improvised rainfly, to stop rain from coming in... love these videos! So hard to find a series of camping, that's not just gear reviews or before and after the camp...
Great episode as always. So I'm a backpacker turned backpacking/bushcrafter, thanks to your videos. Hiking the Ouachita trail across Arkansas into Oklahoma next week and bringing saw and bushcrafting knife and getting ready to build some fires and identify some plants and trees 😁!
After watching this, my wife and I did this hike last week. We managed to find that 2nd campsite by the creek and had it all to ourselves since we were there mid-week. A little chilly overnight, but super nice scenery the whole way! The dogs loved it too. We've camped down off the Swift Camp Creek trail before, but further up across the other side of the creek from the junction goes back up to the Angel Windows parking area. That used to be one of our favorite spots, but man - it gets pretty busy on the weekends. Still, a great spot during mid-week!
Always love your videos guys, but a small suggestion: Could you perhaps include a state-level map (and where the park is situated in the state) for a moment before zooming in to the park level map for future videos? Thanks
Rewatching this episode as I'm getting ready to head out for a overnighter, and the part where the storm hits while you guys are under the tarps made me giggle and laught out loud, multiple times. It was like I was there with you guys. Adventure Archives is food for my soul. Thank you guys.
This was absolutely wonderful just when i think the next episode cant be better, loved the piano music and your guys philosophy at the end of this one, also that storm i would have been a bit more worried i think 😂
Great video fellas. My pack is always heavy in Kentucky. Just how the old saying goes. "If you don't like the weather in Kentucky wait 5 minutes and it will change".
Thanks for watching! Haha, that's a lot like weather in Ohio as well, especially in the cooler/colder seasons. Always gotta bring what you need to be prepared :) Cheers! -Andrew
wow what an adventure!!! I dont think I would sleep very well in a tarp shelter and a storm like that. LOL at the seinfeld quotes too. thanks for sharing guys!!!
btw, here's a tip... when prying off beer caps, using a bic lighter as a fulcrum, you'll do better using the skinny edge, rather the wider edge, as a lift point.
Wow, fantastic video! I absolutely LOVED the night hike and thunderstorm footage! You really did a great job of conveying what it was like to be in that situation. Thanks!
Great Video .... the traffic at the 00:34 mark is about 5 minutes from home, I know it well and it is one of the reasons I love heading out into the woods to get away from everything! .... Keep up the great work!
Some of my favorite music is in this episode. I love rewatching old episodes and I do it all the time.

I like it when Andrew introduced some plants, trees and mushrooms on the way

I always look forward to what kind of meals they're preparing the most in these videos

They are so interesting and relaxing 😎
That monologue at the end of the hike was incredible!!!!!! Very powerful words. High quality film, as always!
This episode quickly became one of my faves! I loved the storm, the food, the amazing views, and the hysterical "burger-wraith" story at the end!! You guys are great!!
You guys are so fun to watch! Wish I could come along with you guys!😊
Nothing short of outstanding production. Thanks guys!
The scenery, the conversation, the food, the adventure, all of this just pulls at my heart. As always, very well-done guys.
I just want to say, as a city/suburb guy, you guys inspired me to go on my first backpack camping trip this month. Wish me luck!
Woohoo! Great to hear! Let us know about it! We love to hear about our viewers' trips. -Thomas
I cant wait to start purchasing my backpacking kits for my family and myself! I wanted to know where do you read up on all the plant knowledge? Anywhere specific you recommend?
@@maria21mhmh It's all over the internet. Just do some searches on wild plant life.
We camped at Natural Bridge State Park during our honeymoon 49 years ago. Great memories and a beautiful area! Now I want pizza!
Summer is coming and Adventure Archives is out and about...
Oh ya, ya betcha!

There are few better things on such a beautiful day than sitting inside and working on a pi project while watching one of your videos...
Was looking forward to watching this tomorrow - looks like I'm staying up late and watching it tonight instead.

This channel has filled the void left by AlfieAesthetics' lack of uploads! Great video, keep up the amazing work!
Goztone Love Alfie. Guess he got a 9 to 5 and forgot about us. 😟
No matter how many times you guys include the time lapse of the night sky, I will never get tired of watching it.

Two tricks to staying dry- use a plastic bag as a liner for your pack and put clothes you will wear the next day in the foot of your backpack
I want to thank you for all your videos. I am a 72 year old disabled senior, and I feel like I am out with you. My seeing impaired daughter enjoys them also. Please make more I am running out of ones to watch. Thanks again,
Pam Meyers thank you so much! We just released a new one today and we’ll try to keep releasing new ones as often as we can :)
And the MUSIC 🍄🍄🍒🍒🍄🍒😎💜💜💜. Love it so much , my favorite is at the end , it sounds NATIVE
Incredible channel. Educational as well as entertaining.
I'm starting to see a pattern in these videos, that when Robby says, "...eventually, we were all awake". He means, Bryan finally woke up. ;-)
yep...will be watching this at work
I've went straight up and down with friends after it rained and swam in the river for a bath the day after. It was great now I plan on going almost every weekend with my brother
Thank you. This is just what I need after a long day of schoolwork.

Great stuff guys! I know how hard it is to get results like that! Well done!
Red River Gorge is one of my most favorite places on earth. Seeing it through your eyes and heart made it twice as beautiful.
This is a great video. Those night shots are so dope! The song with the slow shot at the end is one of the highlight! Your contenant, you skills and creativity make us enjoy so much. Nice job. - Montréal, Canada

Another work of art. Beautiful.

So long as we don't do something incredibly dangerous, a little stupidity can add to the excitement of life : ) -Thomas
Exactly!!
This is one of my favorites! I find it quite amusing how you share your food! Really enjoyed the scenery here. Thanks guys!

Beautiful. Hiked and camped in the same area last summer, nice thing was we got to play in the river after setting up camp!
I would've used the raincoats as an improvised rainfly, to stop rain from coming in... love these videos! So hard to find a series of camping, that's not just gear reviews or before and after the camp...

3:29 - that authentic campfire feeling you get when your obnoxious kids have flashlights and keep shining them in your eyes.
Always love your videos guys, but a small suggestion:
Could you perhaps include a state-level map (and where the park is situated in the state) for a moment before zooming in to the park level map for future videos?
Thanks
Bravo fellows
