Thanks for making this, I played Lotro a lot when I was in middle/high school and missed it recently when I saw it was on Steam now, very excited to get into it again and actually try some raiding this time.
When I came back to LOTRO after a decade of being away I forgot everything... *insert Gandalf "no memory of this place" meme here* Your videos have been an amazing resource for teaching me everything again. Thank you!
before last updates it was leveling wherever you want until warg pens, then stack all exp boosters and run wargpens until cap level. preferably with some high level in the group, but any on level group workes also
I have not played Lotro in recent couple of years (work, uni, traveling...) but take it from an old vip-founder player since 2007; XP is the most easy thing in this game i wouldn't even bother using the xp boost perks. Everything in this game gets you xp regardless of the quests - every mob, task and even crafting. Many players choose to sometimes halt their advancement as to not be too over leveled in the zone they are questing in. You don't need to do all the quests in the zone/map, you can skip many of the generic boring quests (collect this, kill a number of mobs...). The one advice i always used to give new players on the general/advice channel is the following - the best way to level up and experience the game is to follow the 'Epic story quest line'. Following the epic story quest line will send you to every map at the right lvl range.
As a founder myself I agree you made some excellent points here. Also, like I said in video always follow the chapter or book quest! Like you said. Thanks

Nice guide @Voice of the Rings. I do like to make sure to fit in the Oatbarton questline for "Northcotton Farm" ( level 30/31 quests, but can really jump you up fast just in time for the "Everswim" Evendim quests, which I ALWAYS find a real pain in the backside, as it's SWIM for free, or use Mithril Coins to use the Boats. Whenever possible I try hard to bypass Evendim as much as possible, vying instead for Esteldin and the early parts of Ram Duath and onto Angmar. From there on things do start to become better, as soon as you get close to level 50, the real fun begins.
Very helpful, maybe little info in the load bar about what level your at, so people can skip too the part they are at for reference? ( I watched it all but if I come back too it then it would be nice :) ) Keep up the good work!

Depending on your level for fixed level ones. For the ones that change level you want to pick ones that gives quests when you go in. So you get XP for kills and quests. It's kinda hard to pick just one. Warg pens used to be one of the best for this. But they did some updates that makes it not as good anymore. I have not power leveled with a skirmish or instance in a long time. So you might have to just find one with quests at your level.
I will keep that in mind! Hit the Bell and I might have one out later on. Great Suggestion! With Armour what is the main thing You would want to know? I have a Video on Item types but not armour.

Thanks my friend! It's a good question, Rune keepers are strong if your a magic lover. It's hard because it comes down to what you would want to play. For me I already have a high level Gaurdian. But I would enjoy doing that faster. Beorning is also a very cool class. Might be one I'd pick.
@@VoiceoftheRings Thanks for the quick response! Yeah, It's definitely a case of personal preference, I know. I appreciate the insightful information. I was considering auto-leveling the guardian class. Probably gonna do that! Thaaaanks. :)
Humm. That's a good question. Most places you can walk to. The only problem might be when you walk through the door to moria. It might say you need expansion. But I have never tried it. My two accounts have expansions. One thing you can try, is next time a big expansion comes out they usually give away all the older ones for free with a code for a limited time. But off top of my head I am not sure about moria. You might be able to walk to helms deep still through the gap of rohan as long as there is no "loading door or portal type thing".
Oh no... I have a video on valar boosts... they gave everyone one for 15th anniversary. It should give more warning hahahah. Check out my other videos in playlist. I have one on vslar boost and stuff like that.
Just getting all my characters to level 20 while I'm still VIP for that free riding skill. Just wondering, do the chapter quests keep you guided on what area you should be in through all the expansions? like all the way up to 130? or do you get mail when you hit a certain level to do the expansion quests? Or is it just up to me to be like "Okay just hit level 35 time to go do the moria expansion or whatever" bought all the expansions during the black friday sale, and I'm new so just wondering when/how I'll be able to access that content. Having fun though just leveling up different characters to 20 and getting riding for now, still figuring out which class I'm going to main. I've been watching your videos thanks for the content man!
Thanks! Such a good question. The chapters and books will guide you somewhat if you follow them. But they do make you go back to main locations sometimes when u don't need to. The mail things you get at certain levels is important they added that to help stream line and Guide players. Another thing you can use is the lotro wiki page and just check out the levels of each place to kinda know where you should be. Also, some ends of chains will open and send you to the next camp or settlement or regions. Little know how in there but you can do it! They give you alot of guidance with those things and you are right that chapters will help a bit they will only do about 60-70% guide though. Some you will have to decide yourself. I hope this helped a bit. It's a really good question. The chapters will help alot though if you keep up on them at right level your at.
@@VoiceoftheRings Right it seems smooth sailing til about level 20 or so, then the game really seems to open up, and I was mostly wondering about the expansion content specifically. Thanks for being so helpful

Good Idea! I don't have one for gear at that level at the time of this comment 10 11 2021. I might make one! Crafting in Lotro is very Important you might be able to even ask around and see if anyone would make you gear if you got them the Materials.
You can try to just do chapters and volumes the main story. But you will have to do some side areas to keep up on xp. But you can do I'd say 60% with main story if not more. Alot of the time you will get side quests right next to main books quests. Hope that helps.
