Thank you for this trip down memory lane. Most important, I listened with deepest empathy about your brother, and am so sorry. Understand completely. For my part, when my beloved LOTRO bandleader died, I carried on with the band 3 1/2 more years, but for the past year have instead been honoring LOTRO friends from the music community with filmed collections of music they made or loved, and reimagining the music of Geoffroi and others, and my accompanying lyrics, onsite in Middle-earth, as best I can here on You Tube and within LOTRO. Glad we both found ways to deal with the grief that leaves something behind for those we loved and lost.

2004 was a good year for games. Bioware game out with my 2nd all time fav NeverWinter Nights in 2002. That game and that era of gaming was very special to me. I love the gfx from that era. Sure compared to now its not aged well at all, but i love it. Sure these old games seem to run on an ancient code of honour, refusing to change with the times, but i like that. That's where i come from as a gamer, my happiest moments as a gamer. LOTRO brings me back to those times where care, love and craftsmanship were poured into games. As a WoW (hoping you have tried classic or even Turtle WoW) player you will appreciate the spell mechanics/queue system in combat, which follows the traditional tried and tested format. Each area in the game is expertly hand crafted with precision and love. The writing, the voice acting, the narrative and pacing of the story is very well done. The music is phenomenal! The community, whether you decide to play on the free servers or legendary VIP servers (I wholesomely recommend you get on the VIP servers, you will NOT regret it), the community is just amazing. Why is this community so stuck with how good lotro USED to be? Game wont be that way again, nostalgia goggles are pointless.......
Lotro just launched their legendary server and I rolled a fresh toon. It’s 64 bit and I’m enjoying it all over again. One possible answer to your question is that the community is great. Thanks for watching
@@Miloascape I'm on that server and just watched world chat being toxic to some rando dude so "the community is great" is a stretch
@@Supadrumma441 One bad apple doesn't represent the entire community. The group of 100+ people I play with is great. But yeah I agree... the angmar world chat has been more spicey than I'm used to.
@@Supadrumma441 The Community IS great...if you stay off the world chat.
@PanzerShrek94 yeah it can be toxic at times. I personally play with it turned off most of the time
