This was a great topic. I’ve been doing Lucy’s videos for years. I love her personality and she’s never trying to sell you anything. Sometimes that’s all I have time for, but mostly I use her videos as a supplement to my fitness routine. While going through cancer treatments, her lighter workouts were all I could manage and were a Godsend!

And honey, you look great! I am an almost 49 year old chubby person and I was bored with the Svelte exercises! I didn’t do all of the ground ones because I didn’t like them or sometimes worried because my back hurt afterwards. I hope I look like you when I grow up!!

Thank you! SO how I felt! Boring with 2:00 of the same small movement. My watch kept thinking I had stopped working out! And my ads said 7-minute workouts but most are almost 13. Which isn’t long, they should just advertise that way. I think I am going to use the 60 day guarantee on this one. I could push through, but it is boring and I don’t feel it has made any difference. I like my every other day Indoor Walking workouts so much better!
@@adrienneyt2250 I wrote a LONG message that errored. Yes, I kept the Svelte. My watch showed that I burned more even after the short workouts. I just pick the ones I like best and do indoor walking the other days. Have lost weight (I think from eating less and not late and few bites when pure sugar), and inches maybe from both. I feel the exercise has helped more with endurance - I can do 50 jumping jacks now like they are nothing and without feeling I might lose my bladder! I also am not DEAD sore now after weeding for hours. I’ll take it! I turn 50 in February and want to look and feel better!

Good video. I can tell from watching your videos that you like getting after it. Not just 5-7 minutes and that's it. I'm 62 and feel the same way. I like lifting for an hour 3 times a week. I like hiking for 90 minutes- 2 hours on the other days. 5-7 minutes is just to warm up. Great job, Mama T.

speakin of Ad's V-shred seems to haunt that space lol (feel free to ask Will on that, he'll definetly know)... these "at home" workouts remind me of 2020, Keltie reviewed a boatload of these and came to the same conclusion (including chole tang) basically folks not active it's atleast something to get them moving, otherwise for anyone that has trained/is training they're kinda pointless.... good to see your keeping up with new channel content

You are so welcome! I glad you didn’t waste your time and money. I don’t know if you’re a walker, but I’d highly suggest you try to add a good 30+ min of purposeful (not power walking) to your day. Make sure you are getting adequate lean protein, healthy fats and really curb the processed starchy carbs. The walking can really kick start a new exercise regime. Then, add in some weight training, even if body weight only at first. Most of all, try to keep a positive outlook! The fact that you are looking for solutions and not throwing in the towel, speaks volumes. You can do it! ❤️🙌🏼

Thanks for your review. I think these short workouts are more like exercise snacks and better than nothing. But it's the fluff and the overpricing of some of them that annoy me. There's a lot of free and excellent options out there with a range of times from 5 mins to 1 hour. Nourish, move, love - fitness with pj, ceelifts. I do enjoy Lucy's style and some of her walking workouts. She was a great find during the pandemic.
My concern is that we might be missing the point, by trying to relate short workouts with gym time. The whole idea is that the exercises in S.I.T. Leave your body burning fat residually. Thoughts?
Hi Debbie, great question! My point in this video was to illustrate that you needn’t waste $30 a month doing this workout when you could get similar for free on multiple UA-cam channels. As for the S.I.T. having any kind of EPOC effect, in my opinion, is a non issue. You just are not expending that much effort, not raising your heart rate and just not doing it long enough. I’m a huge believer in just being active, doing something instead of nothing is incredibly beneficial, but to pay for this.. waste of $$$ Go for a nice walk, it’s free and the best thing you can do. The Svelte one could be good for someone brand new to working out who would benefit from a tangible program to follow, and they do it for like a month until they get bored of it/realize they can find better options for free. But at least it got them started! 😅

My prob literally in the last year is sagging skin at arms, waist, back; my droopy skin has the appearance of "melting" jiggles. My son is getting married in 4 months...I'm desperate for fast sculpting!! Speed walking is not targeting my problem areas. Would LOVE recommendations for my specific problems if you have any!!
Hi Anne! I like your analogy of melting jiggles, that tells me you’ve got a sense of humour too! You definitely need to add some weights to your routine. Biceps, triceps , bent over rows, and some core work. You are slim so you won’t take long to see some definition. We can’t really get rid of the sag but can try to minimize its appearance. Slather on the moisturizer after every shower. Exfoliate to bring the blood to the surface and help circulation. Try self tanner- it really helps with your skin’s appearance! (You’ll get better with rubbing it in) Good luck 🍀 😘

I only came here to laugh at you TBH, especially because I've been bombarded by these stupid ads lately and because a big part of my sense of humor is laughing at yoyo/fad dieters, January gym joiners, and the office loser always talking about their next big plan to "get built" - "FOR SURE" this time, ha ha., etc, etc. But you really impressed me. I don't have a weight problem (at least not yet) but it was still fun watching your video. You were great. And, yes, you did hit the nail on the head when you said "stalked". I do honestly feel harassed by all these stupid ads telling me I need to listen to them to be a more attractive person. Until I can hit "Skip", I do give my screen the 🖕during the whole ad. The ad lady of One & Done says the 7-min routine is all about a hormone that is released only when doing these exercises. A hormone that was discovered in 2012. The routine is not supposed to be super tiring and intense, but she' says it's all about the right movements. So, I wonder if the scientific side of this is actually true or not.

Hi Kim, you’ve got a sense of humour, perfect! I hate to be boring but get walking! It’s the single best thing you can do and you will lose weight! You don’t need to power walk but don’t amble along like a snail either. Start with 3-4k a day. Cut out the wasted cals like cream in coffee, mayo on sandwiches and added sugar on your oatmeal etc. Get a couple of sets of dumbbells 3-5-8 lbs and follow some short online routines. Be consistent!!!!Once you get going you’ll be amazed how great you feel. Maybe not so lazy after all!😂

I haven’t done the program. I have watched the ads in different places, several times( btw she( Meredith Shirk) does have dozens of workout vids on UA-cam). My understanding is you do the active portion of the workouts for 20 seconds with 2-minute rest periods in between, 3 xs; so the active periods= 3x20; which is 1 minute( the “1-minute workout..); the rest periods = 3x2; which is the 6 minutes… for a total of 7 minutes. The total workout time may change according to what ad you watch. Don’t know if it works… hoping someone who’s actually completed the program , will weigh in….😊

I decided to Google the "One and Done" before purchasing because something in my gut was saying to check it out first. Then, I watched your video which led me to the 7 Day Belly fat workout for FREE! I went to that website and completed 3 short workout videos by a delightful instructor. This was just right for me because I had hip surgery two years ago and haven't been able to drop weight easily like I did when I had my 3 kiddos. Your review was spot on! And, you look amazing by the way. I'm 53 and struggling with Menopause belly fat and hormone issues that have made me gain 15-20 pounds and I'm eating less and trying to do all the right things. I only came here to laugh at you TBH, especially because I've been bombarded by these stupid ads lately and because a big part of my sense of humor is laughing at yoyo/fad dieters, January gym joiners, and the office loser always talking about their next big plan to "get built" - "FOR SURE" this time, ha ha., etc, etc.
But you really impressed me. I don't have a weight problem (at least not yet) but it was still fun watching your video. You were great. And, yes, you did hit the nail on the head when you said "stalked". I do honestly feel harassed by all these stupid ads telling me I need to listen to them to be a more attractive person. Until I can hit "Skip", I do give my screen the 🖕during the whole ad.

The ad lady of One & Done says the 7-min routine is all about a hormone that is released only when doing these exercises. A hormone that was discovered in 2012. The routine is not supposed to be super tiring and intense, but she' says it's all about the right movements. So, I wonder if the scientific side of this is actually true or not.

Hi Kim, you’ve got a sense of humour, perfect! I hate to be boring but get walking! It’s the single best thing you can do and you will lose weight! You don’t need to power walk but don’t amble along like a snail either. Start with 3-4k a day. Cut out the wasted cals like cream in coffee, mayo on sandwiches and added sugar on your oatmeal etc. Get a couple of sets of dumbbells 3-5-8 lbs and follow some short online routines. Be consistent!!!!Once you get going you’ll be amazed how great you feel. Maybe not so lazy after all!😂

Hi! I bought it from an Instagram ad where it was promoted as “One and Done” ! Regardless, one minute or seven, it’s not going to do much for you! Thx for watching! 😍
I haven’t done the program. I have watched the ads in different places, several times( btw she( Meredith Shirk) does have dozens of workout vids on UA-cam). My understanding is you do the active portion of the workouts for 20 seconds with 2-minute rest periods in between, 3 xs; so the active periods= 3x20; which is 1 minute( the “1-minute workout..); the rest periods = 3x2; which is the 6 minutes… for a total of 7 minutes. The total workout time may change according to what ad you watch.
Don’t know if it works… hoping someone who’s actually completed the program , will weigh in….😊

I decided to Google the "One and Done" before purchasing because something in my gut was saying to check it out first. Then, I watched your video which led me to the 7 Day Belly fat workout for FREE! I went to that website and completed 3 short workout videos by a delightful instructor. This was just right for me because I had hip surgery two years ago and haven't been able to drop weight easily like I did when I had my 3 kiddos. Your review was spot on! And, you look amazing by the way. I'm 53 and struggling with Menopause belly fat and hormone issues that have made me gain 15-20 pounds and I'm eating less and trying to do all the right things. If people are looking for quick workouts, there are tons of free ones.and the exercises are good. But don’t be fooled, you can’t get fit in 5 minutes a day. That’s the theme 😘 I always appreciate your comments!
