💯 Not a corporate guy either, but these "corporate speak" videos have drastically improved difficult conversations with bosses, colleagues AND clientele
I feel a less confrontational version of the first one would be "I am copying in my manager X who will be able to highlight any collaboration opportunities between our teams."
Wanted to thank you for these professionally saying videos. I am not the best at conveying messages. I did use one recently and was recognized by the company v.p. and he said I was impressive to my management. Thank you very much.
I tell it like it is - never going out of my way to be rude, but also not sugarcoating - and it's polarizing. A lot of people find it refreshing, whereas others have tried to tone police me.
It really really sucks that you have to walk on eggshells about just doing your job. As an autistic person, I am forever locked out of working in corporate jobs because of how upper management expects a workforce that is able to kiss it's ass at all times.
I gave up the office life to become a chef, I have literally told my boss to get the fuck out of my kitchen cuz he's pissing me off. There's no amount of money I would ever take to give up that freedom
Lol...I plainly say, "You're not my supervisor." And if I'm really annoyed with that person, I go into greater detail. "You're not my Lead. You're not my Supervisor. You're not my Manager. You're not my Director." I've only ever had to say this once and I have been working there for over 12 years. With some people you need to be completely blunt with them so they'll leave you the hell alone.
😂 I LOVE how you keep slipping "moist" into your vids! That'd drive some people I know absolutely crazy! But it's such an awesome & useful word. No other word comes close to the precise meaning. Please keep it in use! 😂❤
Love you Videos 😊👍🏻 I am in need for a "How do you professionally say to your CEO: You criticize my work, which I do exactly as you told me last week." 😅
There's no way to tell someone, You're not my boss, without them being offended. Realistically, you can communicate as clearly and positively as possible, and people still take offence. The upside of using good communication is that they can't call you out for the way you communicate. But most folks will still be mad.
I quit the office life for the kitchen life. I have literally been able to say "it's to fckin busy for your sht right now! GTFO of my kitchen and tell YOUR guests to calm the fck down or I'll lose their ticket" directly to my boss's face....there's no money in the world I'd take to give up that freedom.
I appreciate you making these videos. But it’s absurd that we have to “professionally say“ something when everyone knows exactly what it is. We have to keep creating new euphemisms every 10 years, and being unable to talk straight about problems is just not mature.
Someone foisted something onto me Friday and then left.. had to hit them with the 'while I appreciate that you feel you can come to me, in the future please utilize leadership as a liaison.. I'm not anybody's personal assistant" kachow
I saw my manager out at the mall and we chatted a bit then he made a remark as if he was "telling me what to do"....... I said you aren't my boss now and he belched out "I'm always your boss!!!!"
I can never understand why people need to speak in corporate code. As someone with auditory processing & general hearing issues I'm concentrating hard enough to deciper your speech. I shouldn't have to interpret a virtual other language as well. Why can't people speak plainly!
Can I ask you how I could professionally say "you know, the right time to tell me that doing X was a problem would have been when I first started and I asked you how to do X, and not more than 3 years after you didn't give me any direction and left me to my own devices"? Asking for me
How do you professionally say, what you submitted doesn’t match the contract. Did you even bother to ready it before you chucked it to me? Can you slap someone in a professional manner? 😂
Honestly, the "professional" way sounds way worse to me. It sounds passive aggressive and catty. It's getting the exact same message across. If they don't like the message they aren't really going to care how you word it.
How do you professionally say is just another way of saying how do you put on a facade that’s hides all of your true emotion and intentions to please people above you
Could you cover how you professionally say I’m in charge of this not you so please stop trying to over-correcting rules/boundaries that were put in place that I’m just trying to enforce?
Hiya , how do I professionally say I am pro-palestine and I don't agree with what Israel is doing to children in a pro-Israeli team! Please advice. Thank you. ❤
How do you professionally say, stop asking me how to do your job. I have never done your job. I have no idea how to do your job. Please show some independent thought and figure out how to do your own job.
If someone said those words on a job site, the response would probably be an open mouth with utter confusion. A more appropriate response on the job site is, listen M----- F-----, I work for Smitty, go talk to him. Leave me the f--- alone. Then if you talked to Smitty, the response would be, why the f--- are you trying to control my people. Get your a-- away from them. Same responses. Different worlds. Oh, HR departments do hiring. That's it. Compalion about feelings? We don't pay you for your feelings. We pay you to get the jog built. Much more efficient.
I would prefer people simply say what they mean. This idea that it's more professional to use more words than necessary and say things indirectly is absurd.
I don't work for a corporation, but your advice is very helpful in any work place. Love you videos. Thank you.
💯

“it seems there is some confusion on your end”
That’s low-key insulting.
Yeah, I'mma need something more high-key insulting.
I've never been this early! I love your tips and ways to filter our frustrations into constructive communication! Keep up the good content 😍
I tell it like it is - never going out of my way to be rude, but also not sugarcoating - and it's polarizing. A lot of people find it refreshing, whereas others have tried to tone police me.
I use these same guidelines when discussing challenging family members. Lmao❤😂
It really really sucks that you have to walk on eggshells about just doing your job.
As an autistic person, I am forever locked out of working in corporate jobs because of how upper management expects a workforce that is able to kiss it's ass at all times.
Same here bc I won't follow such bs
I gave up the office life to become a chef, I have literally told my boss to get the fuck out of my kitchen cuz he's pissing me off. There's no amount of money I would ever take to give up that freedom
THANK YOU!!!
I wonder if that's why I got fired from my one office job I've had 😂
Same
Lol...I plainly say, "You're not my supervisor."

"You're not my Lead.
You're not my Supervisor.

Cheryl Tunt approves.
Lovely sweater. You give such good suggestions.
❤ I love that sweater too! Wondering where to find it!
These are so important. Thank you.
I directly told someone “I don’t report to you, you can ask my manager” and I would recommend it to everyone😌
I've been working with a coworker making my (work)life miserable for a few months now, saying "there have been challenges" is a big understatement
I've had to send copies of text messages to our DM to 'prove' I wasn't the problem.
You guys should write a book with these tips!! I'd buy it!
😂 I LOVE how you keep slipping "moist" into your vids! That'd drive some people I know absolutely crazy! But it's such an awesome & useful word. No other word comes close to the precise meaning. Please keep it in use! 😂❤
Here's a business idea, start a funny mug storefront...! I will buy.
These do come right when I need it
I'm gonna need one of those mugs 😂
“Moist regards” I gotta use that in my sign offs sometime lol
Oh wow fresh content is fresh! Also I totes want that mug ❤
Smart and attractive.
I don’t understand how there is almost a new language just to work at a 9-5 job. What happens if you use casual terminologyv
I love that mug
I need a compilation of all these shorts from this series so I can hear them on a loop.
Love you Videos 😊👍🏻 I am in need for a "How do you professionally say to your CEO: You criticize my work, which I do exactly as you told me last week." 😅
😂 How about, The work was done as defined last week, are you wanting to change the expectation/guidelines going forward?
@@luvfunstuff2 Sonds great 👍🏻Thanks, I will try that 😀
last time i was this early i was still working 12 hour shifts
She is soo awesome
Love your posts ❤❤
Watched this imagining how a veteran would tend to respond; point and counterpoint.
People who know how to talk and social are blessed in life and work. It is really depressing when you are introvert and can’t express by words
There's no way to tell someone, You're not my boss, without them being offended. Realistically, you can communicate as clearly and positively as possible, and people still take offence. The upside of using good communication is that they can't call you out for the way you communicate. But most folks will still be mad.
I keep checking your website to see if you get more coffee mugs in. Will you be getting more? Or should I stop checking?
I recently reported a coworker for harrassment. I said "you're not my boss" with no sugar coating. Some people don't understand anything else.
when your coworker is ChatGPT
"I don't know you! That's my purse!"
I quit the office life for the kitchen life. I have literally been able to say "it's to fckin busy for your sht right now! I want that mug!!! Link?!?!?!❤🎉
"Stop. Talk to my boss."
"Management and I have already worked this out, you don't need to worry about it"
We now officially have a professional employee
Just say, I'll speak with my supervisor on this.
How can we buy that mug??
I appreciate you making these videos. But it’s absurd that we have to “professionally say“ something when everyone knows exactly what it is. We have to keep creating new euphemisms every 10 years, and being unable to talk straight about problems is just not mature.
How do you professionally say “Why did you dress me down for a mistake I made in front of the whole office? That wasn’t appropriate or professional.”

Where do we get the new mugs?
Where can we purchase mugs?
I had a boss who was incapable of saying nice things, so I straight told him "you know you're approachable, right? You should work on that"
my team leader specifically instructed me to
How to professionally say "please don't talk about me/say targeted things like I'm not on this meeting with you"?
Can I ask you how I could professionally say "you know, the right time to tell me that doing X was a problem would have been when I first started and I asked you how to do X, and not more than 3 years after you didn't give me any direction and left me to my own devices"? Asking for me
You dont have to always be professional.
"How do you say youre not my boss"?
"Fuck off."
You might get it trouble for that one. I usually go with "Frig off."
I saw your c*nt mug on Temu! Gave me a good laugh
I wish you had been around 40 years ago when I fist started working
👍💯
Good video!!
Is that Greg or Dean? I was almost sure it was Dean but now I'm thinking Greg. I'm professionally asking.
Lost my shit in the office yesterday. Could have used better words to my manager.
Need that mug
Can someone please explain to me why we have to talk in this corporate lingo, I am not doing this shit talk to me like a regular human being.
You need to print shirts 👕
That say toodlooo ❤
That's your brand
How do you professionally say “these are last minute changes and I have 2 more projects that are due soon”?
How you professionally say “your micromanaging is not working and instead of helping is cause stress”
Honestly these don’t always seem to be the best, lol. You should just refer them to your supervisor/ let them handle it.
Get the hell out of my office wait you all have pods now 😂
How do you professionally say, what you submitted doesn’t match the contract. Did you even bother to ready it before you chucked it to me? Can you slap someone in a professional manner? 😂
I never understand why he doesn’t like the word moist
How do you say “you’re taking credit for work you didn’t do.”
This is kind of mean, but I’m gonna ask it anyway. How do you professionally say “Not my fault. Not my problem.”
People iratate me I work alone 😅👍
Im not going to mince words, period.
Imp😂
How do you professionally say: stop your passive aggressive comments? To a teacher?
I love the new mug.
Honestly, the "professional" way sounds way worse to me. It sounds passive aggressive and catty. It's getting the exact same message across. If they don't like the message they aren't really going to care how you word it.
You always give passive-aggressive responses. And, no, I do not want to say this in a "professional" manner.
This video will end with toodles
Moist regards 😂😂😂
fact
Your skits are great. They are really funny. But for others watching you won’t be employed in six months with this “minimum” work attitude.
Fact.
How do you professionally say is just another way of saying how do you put on a facade that’s hides all of your true emotion and intentions to please people above you
I'd respond, but UA-cam won't let me.
Could you cover how you professionally say I’m in charge of this not you so please stop trying to over-correcting rules/boundaries that were put in place that I’m just trying to enforce?
How do you professionally say eff off
Honestly? Just say what you feel and throw out the professionalism. I'm not gonna sugar coar anything.
Hiya , how do I professionally say I am pro-palestine and I don't agree with what Israel is doing to children in a pro-Israeli team! Please advice. Thank you. ❤
Why don't you just speak normally? He already says the things...?
How do you professionally say, stop asking me how to do your job. I have never done your job. I have no idea how to do your job. Please show some independent thought and figure out how to do your own job.

Don't work in corporate, you can't talk like a human being
Actually no one speaks like that
