I'm so grateful to my new friend Steve Ketterer for commissioning two contrasting new pieces of organ music recently, for his extraordinary new 3-manual organ by von Beckerath Orgelbau, for his music room in Sharon, CT. Here is the first piece, composed in an unashamedly English mid-C20th style, not a million miles away from Vaughan Williams, it goes without saying in 100% respectful homage. Astute listeners will be able to discern a rather unusual time signature! It certainly shows off the huge variety of kaleidoscopic solo stops we have at our disposal on our temporary Walker Technical Company instrument - and the TUBA at the climax 😎🇬🇧
