It feels like Gege got halfway through writing this manga and was just like "man i dont wanna write this anymore" and just started speedrunning the end. There are so many stories, character development, arcs, plot twists, that couldve made this series LEGENDARY. But he just kind of started picking people off one by one as fast as possible. Its incredibly dissapointing.
That's how stories become outstretched and bland, and characters flanderized. I personally love JJK's focus and efficacy; the fact that we don't spend a lot of time with the characters make their big moments much more impactful. And I really doubt that Gege is bored by this story, otherwise he'd be a genius for pouring casually this much reflection and religious symbolism behind the characters, world and events - but it's likely he's getting exhausted by Jump's horrendous publishing schedule
You get it bro. I literally miss her for all those exact reasons. She became my favorite character for sure during the "it's like that" chapter in the manga.
That’s one thing I hated, they made her stand on the levels of yuji and megumi, even fighting mahito, even if he was a clone, it’s still impressive and I was legit shocked, but then they do a whole 180 and kill her off.
The problem with Nobara is… her technique is too damn convenient. Being able to directly hit the soul from a distance would have been too convenient for the stories progression. Her technique along with Hannah’s would have probably been able to save the reincarnated sorcerers’ host. Basically her technique would have ended the series by now. I do miss her though.
You forget she has to hit her nails with a HAMMER! Not a gun. A hammer. Try throwing a nail in the air and hitting it with a hammer to land on a target. Her aim is pretty good, but we've still seen people easily dodge her nails. Both Haruta and Mahito dodged her nails. It's not hard to dodge, plus there's always a chance she'll miss. It would only be convenient if it was like a domain, with a guaranteed hit. But she doesn't have one. Also, the damage done isn't that much. She hit Mahito, and he was still able to fight both Todo and Yuji afterwards, who are definitely stronger than her. Other than that hammer and nails, she's a regular person, only with the ability to manipulate cursed. Also, I doubt she would be able to choose which soul to hit like Hanna. Jacob's Ladder is the only technique we've seen capable of doing that. She would probably just end up hitting both since they live in the same body. Though, I could be wrong. We haven't seen her hit someone with 2 souls, so I can't be sure.

If that was really a problem then it would mean Gege just wasn't a good enough writer to find a way around that; you're effectively deciding on a whim that this obstacle for the villain simply doesn't exist anymore instead of coming up with something to subvert your readers' expectations. If a character's ability will make things "too easy" for the heroes, create a situation that prevents them from just attacking the villain however and whenever they want. Now I'm not claiming that to be the case or saying I could do better, since we don't know for sure what he was thinking when making that decision.
When killing a character you have to weigh something, you have to weigh whether the impact this death will have on the story or characters is more valuable than all further interactions and plot relevance the character will have. Gege managed to do both perfectly and terribly within the span of a few chapters. Nanamis death was perfect it had massive impact on both the audience and yuji as a character and his role in the story was already finished, yuji was mentored and already a proper sorcerer nanami is a complete character with a perfect send off. Nobara was killed almost flippantly with seemingly none of this taken into account the impact of her death was lessened by having an already so impactful death right before it detracting focus and her further interactions with characters and plot relevance could have easily outweighed the minimal impact her death had. I think her death was a complete misstep
no doubt, her death is the worst writing decision of jjk close to the yuki stuff, no thought put into it whatsoever and just shock value, we dont even get a proper griefing chapters or even pannels from her friends, gojo doesnt even mention it and everyone seemingly moves on. It marks the beggining of the decay of jjk and it started a lot of the tropes that would later greatly undermine what was previously built

To me, Nobara parallels Nanami the most. What I find most devastating is that she came to her life’s realization at 15-16 years of age. Like Nanami, she left her home. She wanted to go to Jujutsu High to become a better sorcerer. To have autonomy. Nanami had that and when he lost his friend, understandably so, he left. He’s even said he ran away to a mindless job. Nobara when faced with death or a major threat, always faced it as Nanami then did for all. At the start, Nobara said she only had so many chairs for people so cared for, and before dying, she realizes they all brought so much into her life. Those seats were filled and in facing her best friend, she comforts him to not get cursed and truly dies without regret. She reached that state of mind Nanami still could not before dying in font of Yuji too. 😢 Tremendous for a. 15-16 year old.

Truthfully speaking Sakura is a good female character too not in Naruto but in Shippuden, let's consider shall we; she isn't just a hi, I'm a girl. She is shown to miss both Sasuke and Naruto and in the first episode she shows how she likes how Naruto has matured until he does something stupid for which he would be smacked on the face I would have done the same, she has her own personality, her own girly love, her own resolution that she'll get stronger and not be a burden on Naruto (say anything about how the story and writer sidelined here the major problem has always been the Hate from the fanbase). She becomes a useful individual from a useless crying girl the same shit could be said for Izuku Midoriya. Don't give me shit that oh but Izuku ran to a villain to save his friend, well guess what So did Sakura as a child stop her two friends from fighting she was literally going to throw herself between them which meant death btw (the fight on the rooftop). The humour side of her being mean or hitting was done by the writer because that was the most common way of doing humour for girls. She had a great moment too defeating an Akatsuki and holding her own in war both as a soldier and a medic (it's just that no one gives a crap about how important medics are in a war) + she saved Naruto's life. She always got much stronger than others its just that she had very very crappy dialogues. Coming to Nobara, I miss her too, she is different from Sakura. She has actual good dialogues and humour, but she too got overshadowed by the others. She had the potential to be much better because she was never shown as a kid hitting the main character which is a common punchline in Japan. However, the way she was handled was just like fuck off, she was just offed and never brought back and it has been 200 chapters it's too late now. She was done much worse than a supporting female character, she was used as a sacrifice to break the already broken character Yuji. Gege didn't have a story for her same like Naruto's writer didn't know what to do with her during the story, the difference is one just killed their character and one sidelined them until they could give her good moments she can shine at.
To be honest the idea i came up with is that sorcerer's no matter how potential they have they will never continue in life to see through thier potential no matter who you are really the Shibuya arc was filled with deaths and destruction both curses and sorcerer's and she was one of them that couldn't make it out of Shibuya
I think people put Nobara too high... Like come on dude, she's not that strong. How can her ability become stronger than that? I can't think of her becoming Maki level (who is the female lead at this point).
Use mei mei for example. If nobara fully maxed her physical capabilities, her nails would be like bullets. Her straw doll could buff her if she nails herself. There's always DE and RCT. At the cost of a weaker Resonance, her nails could have an AOE. Then she's got the soul hitting ability which could prob have utility rn. Gege could've came up with a ton of stuff.
She doesn’t need brute strength alone. There are so many techniques can completely bypass that too. Her straw doll technique could literally damage anybody in the series. Also her powers are unique and interesting too. I don’t think people are drawn to her because they think she’s op
A character's limit in strength is only what the writer wants it to be. I think his point is that Gege could've chosen to make her grow more as both a character and fighter but didn't.
@@sharkguy2340 "Gege could have come up with a ton of stuff." Yep. However, word on the street is he wants to move on away from JJK to write an idol manga. He's not going to flesh it out more. Now, he's speed running the whole series with the goal of ending it this year.

How are you feeling now
Blessed by Gege 🙌
me too
ngl monster go replaced by maki in terms of important female character
Same
i hate how miwa got to live and nobara did not
I mean I don't want miwa to die, but I feel you lol
As Mahito said, the battle against the Curses and Sorcerers is a war. Wars don't wait untill a character goes through their develepment.
To be honest the idea i came up with is that sorcerer's no matter how potential they have they will never continue in life to see through thier potential no matter who you are really the Shibuya arc was filled with deaths and destruction both curses and sorcerer's and she was one of them that couldn't make it out of Shibuya
Eh Maki was more my interest personally so im not crying
I like Maki more than nobara too, but i still wish she were here
I think people put Nobara too high...

Exactly.

"Gege could have come up with a ton of stuff."
Yep. However, word on the street is he wants to move on away from JJK to write an idol manga. He's not going to flesh it out more. Now, he's speed running the whole series with the goal of ending it this year.
bro megumi is gonna flip as he was down bad for her.....
Was he? It's been a while since I watched jjk so I don't remember much (+ I haven't read the manga), can you explain? 😭😭
She's meh. I don't care about her. I mean, she's the tritagonist and most of the characters are way more interesting. Maybe I just don't like her type.
This is me with gojo, so much time is given for like the most boring guy, and everyone like him
@@purviswilliams2502 gojo is a badass and super strong. And that's it. I kinda like this power fantasy, but yeah there's nothing more than it.
@@purviswilliams2502
Even Gege hates him. Gojo's an overpowered twink.
No one cares about petra 2.0
